Restaurant Agbaba in Lauterbach (Hessen)

We ordered there today, August 30th, for a Deutsche Post team event, and everyone was very satisfied. The food was hot, fresh, and delicious. The Lauterbach team says "thank you" – also for the free drinks and sauces. We'd be happy to come again.

Delicious kebabs and good pizza. Everything is freshly prepared. Absolutely delicious and highly recommended ☺️

The special plate, like everything else, is very tasty, freshly prepared, and hot. My recommendation: go there if you're really hungry, but really hungry. Afterward, you won't want to move. The portions are huge, and the prices are reasonable. Highly recommended.

My husband and I have always been very satisfied with Agbaba; the food is delicious, even after the change of ownership! Unfortunately, our three doner kebabs yesterday didn't taste very good, and the meat, in particular, was barely edible – it was stringy, very skeletal, and even had a piece of bone in it… what a shame. I really hope it was just a mistake when buying the meat, otherwise it will be one of our last purchases there.

Very, very tasty. I recommend the Ali plate. (Not listed on the menu.) Many thanks to the great staff, and especially to Ali. I'll be back anytime!

Very delicious food. Very child-friendly. Really great service. Everything was clean and tidy.

Formerly one of the best kebabs in Germany, today, after the change of ownership, it's simply inedible. The salad, with its huge chunks, is inedible and disgusting, the fries are double-fried and old, and the meat in the Adana kebab is of the lowest quality. This has nothing to do with Agbaba. Stay away.

It's been very good for many years, but fantastic since the new menu. The best Adana kebab I've ever had in Germany, and I've had it three times now, with consistent quality. It's always busy, but the wait is absolutely worth it. Fresh preparation takes a while.

The place has become very nice, but it's a shame that there are no more home-made schnitzels. Food is good but schnitzel itself tastes better. The guys are very friendly.

The food was very tasty and the renovation gave the restaurant a breath of fresh air. I found the sauces better at the Metin, I think the sauces are now ready to buy but I don't want to spread rumors.

Delicious food, whether it's the kebab children's plate, the kebab plate for adults or even the normal kebab 😋 Portions were also plentiful... for young and old 👌🏼 It was worth visiting 😉👍🏼

In terms of taste, it was actually a good kebab 🥙 I wanted to pre-order by phone, but you were simply cut off, but when you were there, the employees accepted orders from customers over the phone. Then they said that they would like it to be a little spicier. But the kebab is almost inedible because it is so spicy that you can't taste anything else. It's a shame, I've always been a fan of this kebab.

Damn good kebab. The meat is incredibly juicy and the sauces are always delicious. The pommdöner contains 80% meat, which I personally find sensational. Best kebab in the VB district.

Rated 5 stars 5 years ago, it was the best kebab in Lauterbach back then. Unfortunately, since the change of ownership there has been an up and down when it comes to the food. Sometimes the kebab is good and next time you wish you had gotten it somewhere else. It's a shame, especially since the staff is very friendly.

Everything is okay with the old boss. Otherwise they won't get some things done.

It's a shame about the money, ordered there 4 times, the menu says the tuna salad without peppers, each time we said that no peppers were allowed in it, each time there was either peppers in it or as a garnish. This time even with the green part of the tomato. There was no egg in it, but there was carrot? Salads are prepared differently every time as it says on the menu, but peppers are used every time, even though we have said so several times.

The food is very good, the service is friendly, and the atmosphere is also good.

I'm thrilled. I thought I had almost sworn off kebabs because of the abundance in Germany. Then I came here and ate the special kebab plate. Yes..... probably won't do anything with swearing off. I'm not from here, but I'll come back to Lauterbach. Just because of Agbaba. Thanks for the great dish.

Update Unfortunately things have changed negatively since Metin is no longer there. The bun is very soft and soaked in sauce. Not the best in terms of taste, but not bad either.

The kebab is the best I've ever eaten, definitely go there! The service was perfect and quick, the employees are very nice I really recommend it!

At INJOY Sushi 🍣 I found myself standing in front of a closed door because of the changed opening times and ended up at Agbaba. I had a falafel plate, a side salad, and a chai: simply delicious and good, I thought. Unfortunately, the salad and falafel plate were very sauce-heavy and not compatible with me... 🫣. It was more digestible for me at McDonald's later.✨

A visually contemporary location. A completely overcrowded menu. Less is more. We're hectic and the Turkish flair is missing.

War lange nicht mehr da. Damals immer sehr zufrieden gewesen. Das erste mal beim neuen Inhaber geholt und mäßig enttäuscht worden. Das Fleisch war gefühlt noch halb roh. Schon durch aber noch total hell. Hätte was gesagt aber die Box war schon fertig. Der Kollege hinterm Tresen hat scheinbar keine Ahnung wann man das Fleisch runter schneidet - oder es is ihm einfach scheiß egal. Der 2. Spieß sah besser aus aber nein, er muss vom frisch eingehängten schneiden… Einfach kurz warten und das Fleisch anständig garen lassen, das tut keinem weh. Das Brot hätte man auch länger toasten können, darüber kann man aber noch hinweg sehen.Erstmal mein letzter Besuch bei Agbaba gewesen. Solche grundliegenden Sachen sollte man schon beachten.

Freundliches Personal, Pizza wurde schnell zubereitet, hat gut geschmeckt (Pizza mit Peperoni-Salami) und war auch ordentlich groß! Preis-Leistung top!

Der Dönerteller mit dem Grillgemüse kann ich nur empfehlen. Alles geht schnell, Fleisch ist vielleicht etwas trocken. Ich mag es aber.

Da muss man Mal gegessen haben dann will man nicht mehr wo anderst zb seinen Döner Kebab oder seinen Salat oder Pizza essen .Tolles Ambiente super nettes Personal man wir höflich und zuvorkommend bedient.

das Dönerfleisch war kalt, es hat auch sehr lange gedauert. Insgesamt enttäuschend. Die guten Bewertungen haben uns hierher geführt, aber das war ein Fehler.

Gute Atmosphäre Nette Zuvorkommende Bedienung. Gutes Frühstück. Natürlich teuer. Aber nicht schuld ist der Betreiber sondern die Europäische Zentralbank

Jahrelang gerne dort gegessen. Seit dem Inhaberwechsel wurde auf Dönerlieferant mit anderer Rezeptur gewechselt. Für meinen Geschmack viel zu salzlastig und der Pächter ist nicht zum Abändern bereit. Schade, die Bedienung ist zwar sehr nett aber für mich ist das Essen nicht mehr genießbar. Kann ja jeder Gast für sich entscheiden, aber ich bin da leider raus. Soll er seine Ware selbst essen, wenn sie ihm schmeckt.

Ich liebe dieses Restaurant. Kinderfreundlich super hilfsbereit mit Rollstuhl möglich dann wird eine Rampe geholt. Allerdings gibt es dort keine Rollstuhl Toilette. Was für mich aber kein Problem ist ich gehe vorher oder nachher.

5/5 Sterne für den alten Inhaber. Es war immer super hier, leider ist das Restaurant gerade dabei den Inhaber zu wechseln. Die letzten Male schmeckten sowohl das Fleisch, als auch die Pommes alt. Außerdem war kaum noch Soße dabei, sodass man selber dann nochmal etwas nachkippen musste. Die neuen Inhaber sollten noch einiges mitnehmen und lernen.

Da isst man immer gut und günstig. Wie beim Papa halt. . das Ambiente ist noch ausbaufähig!

Sehr zu empfehlendes Restaurant im Zentrum von Lauterbach, das vor allem durchgehend geöffnet ist, was in Lauterbach (und Hessen) keine Selbstverständlichkeit ist. Große Speisenvielfalt, auch an besonders schmackhaften vegetarischen Gerichten (beispielsweise Falafel, Rösti und Salate). Die servierten Portionen sind übrigens "riesig". Auf den Fotos im Internet ist der mit besonders bequemen Sitzbänken ausgestattete (und nicht kleine) Speiseraum leider nicht zu erkennen. Hier sollte der angenehme und freundliche Inhaber des Restaurants durchaus noch einige ergänzende Fotos auf seiner Internetseite veröffentlichen.
