Restaurant "schuberts" in Lauterbach (Hessen)

The service was above average! Unfortunately, when you chose a starter and a main course, the quantities of the food were not adjusted and therefore too much! This shouldn't happen in a restaurant in this price range!

We have been living in Vogelsberg for 3 years and our positive experience with the Schubert's restaurant has been about that long. Not only did we celebrate our wedding here, but we are now regular regulars at the restaurant. One thing we particularly love, quite apart from the excellent food, is the incredibly great service. Service staff who love what they do and regularly welcome us as regular customers should - that's exactly why we enjoy being guests here so much. A really big recommendation!

Eating, sleeping, ambience and friendliness were top...gladly again

Privately run romantic hotel with Hessian charm. Friendly and loving and personal employees. Very small menu that unfortunately doesn't change often. No unusual dishes on the menu.

First-class food - Schubert's is rightly recommended by the Michelin Guide. Compromises on service. Although very nice, the starters arrived before the aperitif was half drunk. Complete helplessness when asked about a wine recommendation for the food ordered: "Which grape varieties do you like? You are welcome to try the open wines beforehand." It's a shame, because the wine list (heavyweight German wines) is excellently sorted (especially the white wines). If you know what you want, you will find treasures here at really affordable prices. A sommelier/ière would be a useful addition to the team. Conclusion: despite weaknesses in service, it is definitely worth a visit (and a detour) due to the high quality of the food and the excellent wine list.

Through an arrangement as part of the hotel stay, we had dinner at Schuberts. The four-course menu left nothing to be desired. Excellent taste and refreshing, normal portion sizes for “fine dining”. In terms of price (approx. 60€ per person including wine accompaniment) it's totally in line with the great performance of the kitchen and staff. Would eat here again at any time.

The quality here justifies the price. Absolute recommendation. Lunch is a price hit! Always tasty, always friendly, that's how it has to be!

What is particularly worth mentioning is the quality and presentation of the various dishes. They are above average and justify the increased price. It's worth it.

Fischteller war sehr gut. Die vegetarische Auswahl ist regelrecht miserabel. Ein gutes Restaurant überzeugt halt nicht nur durch Fleisch. Daher nur vier Punkte.

Sehr schönes Ambiente, leckeres Essen, tolle Weinbegleitung und zuvorkommender Service. Hier passt alles! Auf Allergien bzw. Unverträglichkeiten wurde Rücksicht genommen. Kommen gerne wieder

Ein bemerkenswerter Abend war das zur Feier unseres Hochzeitstags: Sensationell die Küche, ein grandioses Feuerwerk an Aromen! Eine gleichermaßen fachkundige wie freundliche Sommeliere (Frau Baus?) hatte zu jedem der 5 Gänge eine passende Weinidee, köstlich. Eine Übernachtung im großen, schönen Themenzimmer rundete das Erlebnis ab. Wir kommen hoffentlich wieder.
