Nice authentic Indian cuisine. The dishes are beautifully presented and typical of the country. Food very good. Kölsch doesn't work that way, it wasn't cool and tasted bland. But there are other beers. Reservation was not required. A delivery service is also offered here. Large selection of vegetarian dishes.

Genuinely one of the best curries I’ve had in the ten years I’ve been in Germany. Wonderfully deep flavours with some subtle spicing and good sized portions. To top it off the staff were also extremely friendly and helpful.

It was a dream, two days later we still had a pleasant feeling from the fantastic food.

The food was outstandingly good. The waitress only spoke English, but if there were any difficulties in communication, a second waitress immediately came to help. There were four of us and we were all very satisfied.

Friendly staff The food was tasty and, as requested, not too spicy. Price-performance definitely OK.

It was very busy on Saturday and the service couldn't cope with the rush.

I always opt Guru Restraunt for my family function and parties. The food is so delicious and yummy and I'm a big fan of their food. My favourite menu includes their biriyani, mango chicken and chicken kandhari. My most favourite dish is mango chicken,so juicy and yummy. They also provide home delivery and their service is so good.

The food was only lukewarm when served. The plates themselves were also ice cold, which made the food even colder. The waitress knocked over my full glass while serving it and poured it over my pants. There was neither an apology nor a new drink. After eating we were ignored and we even had to go to the counter to pay. We've been there several times and it was much better.

A friend and I had lunch here. We ordered duck korma and lamb bhindi. A good combo, as it turned out. While the duck korma tasted extremely sweet, the lamb bhindi was more savory. Overall, the food was very tasty, but I deducted two stars for the cold, not preheated plates, as well as the food, which was kept warm using a tea light warmer at the table, but was served lukewarm at best. An absolute no-go for the high price. In total, we both paid a total of €50 with a large drink for around €5 each. The restaurant has the ambience of a normal pub. There is seating outside, but unfortunately on that day (it was sunny and around 18 degrees) you could only sit inside. The menu selection is quite large. However, there is obviously no main course for several people. Here we would have been happy with a mixed platter with a few starters to try. So you have to order something together yourself, which isn't exactly cheap. What I noticed afterwards was that when we ordered we weren't asked how spicy we wanted the food. It wasn't spicy at all. According to the menu you can choose between 3 different levels of spiciness: German, medium and Indian spiciness. Even though we were practically alone, the staff seemed polite but rather bored and unmotivated. The restaurant appears to be a family business. All in all I give it 3 stars. There is still clearly room for improvement here.

Delicious food at fair prices Attentive and very friendly service

Ordered food to pick up via WhatsApp. As always, very tasty and quickly prepared. Something was forgotten to bring, we were called immediately and what was missing was brought out to us. Good portions always with delicious rice. We also ate in the restaurant, good service with nice conversations. There are sufficient and varied dishes to order for vegans.

Food was delivered piping hot and before time! The taste is very close to authentic Indian food. We absolutely relished the vegetarian items. The food wasn't greasy/oily which is a rarity! I think Indians won't be disappointed at all with the food at Guru. Keep up the good work! Thanks for making our day 😌

Unfortunately, I was brought the wrong sauce, I told the waitress, she discussed it with me and still didn't offer me anything else even though I didn't like it, and then we got far too little rice for two people, so we wanted more No rice was brought to us, the things were simply put away while we waited for our rice. I left the restaurant still hungry and paid so much money. It's a shame ☹️

Absolut empfehlenswert. Freundlicher Service. Reichhaltige Speisekarte. Da ist für jeden was dabei. Sogar vegetarisch. Das Essen war sehr lecker, gut gewürzt und die Portionen waren genau richtig.

Das beste indische Essen was mir je serviert wurde. War auch oft in England indische essen habe aber nie diese Qualität bekommen. Frisch gekocht, handwerklich gut und die Abstimmung der Gewürze ist großartig. Immer gerne wieder.

Delicious food, friendly staff. My favorite dish by them is butter chicken that I highly recommend, but even the rest is super tasty! ( only negative think is the amount of the rice that they serve... and for an extra you have to pay... even if the prices aren't that cheap)

Bestes indisches Restaurant, was ich in Deutschland kenne. Als lebenslanger GB-Tourist und Besucher vieler orientalischer Restaurants in England und Wales kann ich sagen, dass dieses Restaurant zu 99,9% an die Gerichte von da herankommt. Sowohl im Restaurant als auch beim Lieferservice ist der Service super! Bitte weiter so!

Leckeres Essen und netter Service, die Preise empfinde ich als etwa zu hoch. Dennoch zu empfehlen!

Ich habe das essen geliefert bekommen. Geschmacklich waren beide Gerichte (Palak Paneer und Bengan Paneer) mild und nicht sehr interessant. Nicht schlecht, aber für mich keine Wiederholung wert. Die vegetarischen Pakoras waren leider nicht sehr knusprig. Aber geschmacklich gut. Grundsätzlich war das Essen gut, aber für meinen Geschmack nicht interessant genug .

Bestes indisches Essen in Köln und Umgebung!

Sehr freundliches Personal und sehr leckeres Essen!

Wir mussten nach der Bestellung mehr als eine Stunde auf unser Essen warten. Während dessen mussten wir mit ansehen wie neue Gäste nach uns rein kamen und ihr Essen deutlich vor uns bekommen haben. Die Bedienung war nur schwer zu greifen, denn anstatt zu arbeiten verbrachte sie die meiste Zeit an dem Tisch der restlichen Gäste und schwafelte mit denen. Als wir dann mal die Chance bekommen haben unser verspätetes Essen anzumerken wurden wir daraufhin von der Bedienung angepöbelt. Sie versuchte die Verspätung damit zu rechtfertigen, dass wir ja zuvor eine Vorspeise gehabt haben (die Teller der Vorspeise wurden nicht weggeräumt, sondern lagen noch vor uns auf dem Tisch) und sie hinten ja auch noch den Lieferdienst stemmen müssen. Nun, wenn einem das Á La Carte Geschäft und der Lieferdienst so überfordert dann sollte man sich lieber nur für Eines davon entscheiden und es nicht am Kunden auslassen! Nach unserer Anmerkung dauerte es nochmals 20 Minuten bis wir dann unser Essen endlich bekommen haben - wir wurden dort also komplett vergessen und übersehen. Das Essen dort war in Ordnung. Durchaus lecker, aber sicher nicht Wert um fast 1 1/2 Stunden darauf zu warten. Zumal wir für einen Tisch mit 6 Personen nur zwei Schälchen mit Reis bekommen haben.

Es war wirklich mega lecker! Wir sind selber Inder und ich kann es nur bezeugen: Das Essen ist 100% authentisch. Außerdem sind die Inhaber sehr nett und zuvorkommend. Man merkt, dass diese sich Mühe geben. Wir kommen wieder und bringen Freunde mit!

Authentic Punjabi food , Indian food . Inspected kitchen, its so clean and freash vegetables. Should try chilli paneer. 😋 all other food was really very tasty.

War zum ersten Mal Indisch essen. Gab Insalata Chicken, also gem. Salat mit im Tandori gebratenem Chicken. Duck Khrai, das ist Entenfleisch in Sosse mit Paprika, dazu Basmatireis. Hab die mittlere Schärfe gehabt, das war gut weil ich es etwas scharf mag. Das Fleisch wurde auf einem Stövchen mit Teelicht serviert. Dadurch blieb es schön heiss. Fleisch und Reis konnte ich dann auf meinem Teller mischen. Ich bekam zusätzlich noch ein kleines Schälchen mit grüner Chilipaste um selbst noch nachzuschärfen. Hab wenig davon benutzt weil die war wirklich sehr scharf. Plus Getränk hab ich 33,30 € bezahlt, fand ich ganz ok. Beim bezahlen gab es als extra noch ein Teelöffelchen Kräuter auf die Hand, Fenchel und andere Kräuter zur besseren Verdauung. War ein neuartiger Geschmack. Ich kann GURU nur empfehlen.
