The korma dish and samosas were delicious and the naan bread was to die for. Really good South Indian cuisine.

The staff is just super friendly, attentive and not intrusive at all. The food is a work of art, delicious, very tastefully prepared and delivered promptly with no waiting times. Very attentive when you want to order something else. The atmosphere is very nice and comfortably furnished. I can only recommend everyone to stop here.

I can only agree with the previous reviews: how great for Schildgen that there is now such a really good Indian here! I would even say that it would now be worth driving out of Cologne to eat here instead of the other way around :) I thought it was nice that you automatically got a small starter and could choose the spiciness of the main courses. Even the mild version didn't taste boring but was still well seasoned, just not too spicy. I also found the paneer particularly tasty. Thank you dear Ajit Palace team, we will definitely come back :)

It's nice that I no longer have to drive to Cologne to have delicious Indian food :-) Nice service and the waiting time for the food was reasonable. Anything that comes to the table quickly makes me personally suspicious! Drinks were served quickly and new drinks were requested promptly without being intrusive. This won't be the last visit :-)

Es ist das beste Indisch in der Gegend. If the street to Voiswinkel hadn't been closed, I never would have found it. 2:30pm on a Sunday is a great time to visit, we found a parking spot out front (there are only a few spots). The service was attentive, but they forgot my husband's Coke. We ordered two appetizers - Pakoras and Spring Rolls. Both were excellent, it was really too much for 2 people. The Spring Rolls were FULL of chicken breast. I'd never had Spring Rolls like that, most are just cabbage and a tiny bit of meat. Both appetizers were sprinkled heavily with Fondor/MSG powder, which wasn't necessary. Also neither came with any dip of any kind, so we were using our Papadam dips. The first Papadam was free, which was nice, and came with 3 types of dip (not mentioned on the menu). Both appetizers came with little side salads that were great cuz I'm American and I love corn and onions on a salad. The white dressing was mild and could have used some seasoning/herbs. I ordered the Chicken Tikka medly (triangle?) and got a really good impression of their Tandoori oven flavor, the blackened bits were excellent. The three types of chicken came on a sizzling iron grill with a bed of grilled vegetables, everything was steaming hot the entire time. The chicken was perfectly done, for chicken breast impressive, not chalky at all, still tender. However after a while on that hot grill they were eventually overdone. My main complaint was that my meal was mild, and I ordered SEHR SCHARF. It was so mild my husband could eat it, which never happens at Indian/Thai restaurants. His Butter Chicken was actually spicier than my entree. So we shared. Eventually I was able to get a side of chilis in hot oil and it was VERY HOT, and I was warned. Then the fun began, I could flavor each bite as hot as I wished. They gave us a very large serving of rice, which is unusual. Flavorful, perfectly cooked. I have to include that the bathrooms were extravagant compared to most German restaurants. WARM WATER at the sink? What a luxury. Modern, clean, but strangely the doors were propped open....why? I can't wait to come back and try some of my favorite curries. I wish they offered chicken thigh meat as well - maybe they do, or maybe they cater to the older generation that prefers breast meat, which is always drier than thigh. Our bill came to 60Euros for two appetizers, two entrees, two glasses of wine and a Coke. Very reasonable cuz we brought half of it home for tomorrow! I'm so glad that street was closed and I found this place. Gut gemacht, weiter so: )

Very tasty food. Almost every dish can be prepared lactose-free if desired, which made me very happy. Attentive and friendly staff. Portions are large and fill everyone up.

ADDENDUM: Unfortunately, I have to complain that the service staff doesn't show the level of attention that is necessary for a good restaurant. After the meal and 1 drink were served, there was no question as to whether you would like anything else to drink. Unfortunately, the friendliness also leaves a lot to be desired. The furnishings are also extremely carelessly designed. There is also ART INDIA very close by, in Cologne-Dellbrück, which doesn't have any of these shortcomings. Not only the food has to be good, service is also important! The food here is cooked with love and dedication. You should bring some time. Price-wise it's okay and not too expensive but the quality is excellent.

This is my third time here and I'm really impressed again. I had chicken tikka masala, mango lemonade and mango lassi. The staff is friendly and helpful and the place is very clean. There could be a bit more 'India' in the decoration. I'll definitely come back

This restaurant is a little gem. It is hidden in a side street off Altenberg Domstrasse. You won't find schnitzel with fries here. Instead, there is exceptional food with fresh vegetables, meat and fish, perfectly put together, deliciously seasoned, a taste experience every time. We are already looking forward to the next visit.

Decent selection of diverse dishes. The portions are large. Starters, main courses and desserts - reasonably priced. Unfortunately the service is very poor. After a listless greeting from the staff, we had to wait almost ten minutes for the menu cards - and another ten minutes to place our order. The food was served after almost 50 minutes of waiting - unfortunately it wasn't served together. There was no proactive request regarding drink refills. In addition, the dishes from the neighboring table were not cleared away - so a battlefield was left behind. To pay you had to proactively go to the bar - otherwise it would probably have taken another 15 minutes. Conclusion: Very good cuisine - lots of choice, large portions and simply delicious. But a good restaurant also depends on service. Unfortunately this does not exist. You don't really feel welcome. Too bad :-(.

We had a delicious meal and experienced very friendly and pleasant service. The food was delicious for all of us (there were 17 of us). Despite the large group, we didn't have to wait long for the food. The space on the small outdoor terrace was also very comfortable. We are very enthusiastic about the restaurant and would love to come back.

I've eaten there a few times or ordered food to be picked up. It's one of the best Indian restaurants I've been to so far. Every dish I have ordered so far has been delicious and the service is really nice and attentive.

You can have a good, family-friendly meal there. In our opinion, the dishes, which according to the house were medium spicy, were rather moderately spicy; they could have been significantly spicier. So: just be brave and order hot!

Very tasty and in a good quantity per portion, plus friendly service, what more could you want.🌸 Leftovers could be taken with you, but you had to say that you would also like rice with it, as we found out the next day.😏 We'd love to come back!

Wir bestellen häufig dort zum mitnehmen. Und es schmeckt uns jedesmal sehr gut. Alles frisch und gute Produkte. Das Personal ist immer super freundlich. Alles wirklich sehr authentisch.

Die Schärfegrade des Essens schienen willkürlich. "Sehr scharf" hätte man im Kindergarten servieren können, mittelscharf war zum Feuerspucken oder ebenfalls nicht scharf. Man musste ab und an recht lange warten, bis wer kam um neue Getränkebestellungen aufzunehmen, war aber sehr freundlich. Die Deko ist sehr ansprechend

Alles in allem ein schönes, nettes und gemütliches Restaurant mit guter indischer Küche. Essen ist gut und vom Preis her angemessen. Bedienung sehr freundlich. Haben uns sehr wohl gefühlt. Könnte optisch etwas besser sein was dem Ambiente gut tun würde. Kommen aber sehr gerne wieder her.

Richtig tolles authentisches indisches Essen und Ambiente. Freundliches Personal und richtig leckeres Tandoori und Curry.

Wir waren ganz begeistert von unserem Essen bei Ajit. Man wartet zwar etwas länger, aber es hat sich absolut gelohnt! Es war so frisch und köstlich zubereitet. Man merkt, dass man sich viel Mühe für jeden einzelnen Gast macht. Der Inhaber ist zudem sehr freundlich, man fühlt sich richtig wohl dort. Immer wieder gerne!

Heute nach längerer Zeit mal wieder hier gegessen. Wir können nur sagen, es war SUPER lecker !!! Auch für uns als Veganer gibt es eine gute Auswahl ( frisch zubereitet mit Kokosmilch) ! Uns schmeckte alles sehr gut. Der Service ist freundlich. Preis/Leistung sehr gut 👍 Wir kommen sicher wieder!

Anlässlich meines Geburtstags waren wir in Odenthal und fanden im Internet dieses Lokal. Ein super gutes indisches Restaurant. Sehr freundliche, aufmerksame Bedienung. Authentischer Geschmack. Wir hatten 4 verschiedene Menues. Jedes hat sehr gut geschmeckt. Wir können dieses Lokal nur wärmstens weiterempfehlen.

Wir, zwei Erwachsene, zwei Kinder waren am Samstag, den 22. Juli gegen 19:30 Uhr da. Ich bin manchmal etwas voreingenommen was indische Restaurants angeht, da oft sie von z.B. Vietnamesen geführt werden, die neben Pizza und Döner auch noch chinesische Küche anbieten, neben der indischen. Wir waren zu viert dort und der Laden war sehr voll, also ein sehr gutes Zeichen. Sehr freundlicher Service, Top Beratung, eine sehr gute Speisekarte, wenig Wartezeit und wirklich ein sehr leckeres aromatisches Essen, das auch von der Preis/Leistung Top war. Das Ambiente war auch mit Liebe zum Detail gestaltet. Da ich selber 30 Jahre in der Gastronomie gearbeitet habe ist es immer etwas blöd als Profi ein Restaurant zu bewerten, weil ich natürlich auf die Details achte, aber ich hatte nicht zu bemängeln. Daumen Hoch für ein indisches Restaurant! Wir kommen gerne wieder!

Sehr gutes indisches Restaurant mit autentischen Speisen. Großer Innenbereich und kleiner Außenbereich. Sehr gutes Preis- Leistungs- Verhältnis, alle probierten Gerichte incl Vorspeisen wirklich sehr gut. Bedienung sehr freundlich, der Koch ebenso. Kommen gerne wieder. Nachtrag 12/22: Ambiente hat sich in den letzten Monaten auch langsam aber sicher deutlich verbessert!

Wir haben heute das erste Mal Essen bestellt und sind total begeistert! Wir kommen definitiv wieder und essen auch mal vor Ort.

Das Essen ist immer wieder ein Hochgenuss und der Service war am Anfang ruckelig, wird aber immer besser, sowohl zum Abholen als auch zum dort Essen !

Hier ist das so! Wir hatten 'chat papri' und verschiedene 'Tikka-Variantionen'. Jeder bekommt die gewünschte Schärfe in den Speisen, da der Wunsch bei der Bestellung erfragt wird. Da zum Essen automatisch noch zusätzlich frisches Sambal Oelek gebracht wird, kann man auch super einfach 'mild' bestellen und sich, wie ein Koch, behutsam in das 'Abenteuer der eigenen Schärfe' wagen. Hier werden nur frische, beste Gewürze verwendet. Das Ergebnis sind wahre Geschmacks-Explosionen. Aber keine Sorge, es ist wie bei einem guten Feuerwerk ein fach nur schön - und macht glücklich. Dazu trägt auch besonders der Chef bei, der gerne über Indien, die indische Küche aber auch alltägliche Dinge spricht, äußerst höflich ist und für beste und entspannte Stimmung sorgt. Viel Spaß!
