Restaurant Golden Phoenix in Bremen

The food is just average, nothing special but they don't skimp on the salt. We were there with several children, unfortunately a plate broke and we were supposed to be 10!!! Pay euros for it. Since the cash register system cannot list a plate, the money was given back to us in the end because we did not agree to pay for it as various dishes. There is a children's play area where shoes should be taken off, but there are basically no toys at all, but there are cigarette butts in the corners. We were very excited and will definitely not be coming back!

This time it was not recommended. By 6:30 p.m. everything that was supposed to be hot was already cold. The rice spooned out to the bottom, lumpy, cold, mixed with sauces. The fried things aren't cooked through and you can't even see the inside because of all the dough. At 9 p.m. nothing was refilled, the fruit was long gone and the chocolate fountain was unclean. Staff, especially the live chef, bad-tempered, his cooking was cold and undercooked, it also went much too quickly, the plate was thrown at us. The ladies room was floating on the sink, paper everywhere. We won't be coming back.

Standard Mongolian or Chinese buffet. Tasty and relatively cleanly presented food. Service quick and uncomplicated. However, there was a strong smell of vomit and flatulence (methane) at and around the buffet stations. We were there with a larger group and almost everyone noticed this foul-smelling scent that lasted throughout the evening. Very unfortunate. Were there for the first and probably last time. Unfortunately, the smell spoiled my appetite.

I can't believe you can come to the restaurant with your dog... Dogs in restaurants pose a hygiene problem. The business outlook imposes strict regulations on innkeepers - absolutely right - eyes are closed when dogs are in restaurants. Why? The waitresses often touch the dogs and sometimes bring a bowl of water to the table, but then they don't wash their hands and their own food is then brought to the table by the same waitress. It is always refilled quickly but adapted to demand so that nothing dries out or becomes strange. The toilets are well maintained.

The food is, for my taste, good and not because the beef is sometimes tender and sometimes a bit tough. The staff is very friendly and quick, there are enough seats, the toilets are clean but parking spaces can get tight at times.

So on 19/12/2024 i and my family went to this restaurant. Adults are meant to pay €23,90 and children €11. When we got the bill at it was almost €200. We asked the waiter to explain why the bill was almost €200 given it was 6 adults and one kid. This man charged my 9 year old little sister as an adult when the given price is €11 for kids. A scam if u ask me because even when we got our tables he asked her age and she said 9. On top of that we’re an African family eating food that we’ll pay for. The waiter kept passing around our table and making i and my family uncomfortably. He kept staring at us and watching us like we were gonna steal something. He also had a nasty attitude. When we confronted him about charging a kid €23,90 he started shouting back. When we ask for WIFI they lie and say that they cant give u but on their bio it says has WIFI! Its safe to say that i wont be stepping foot in that restaurant again. Such trashy waiter. Golden Phönix employees need to do better. Also be careful they might charge ur children as adult too so always check the receipt! Scammers

The renovation shouldn't be at the expense of the guests..The staff looked unkempt and bored (the lady)..We treated ourselves to cocktails on the occasion of my birthday..what can I say..You can't have a cocktail! We have been to several Asian restaurants in Bremen and the surrounding area, and I will say that in terms of quality and range, this is the best. We were pleased with the grilled scallops and frogs and fresh seafood. I recommend it to anyone who loves Asian cuisine.

Significantly better after the renovation. Before the renovation it wasn't good anymore, now that we're moving away we went back there to give the store another chance and we weren't disappointed. The store was packed, the food was good and there was a large selection.

At lunchtime it's pure mass processing... Tables aren't cleared away promptly and if you try to clear your own plates, you're insulted. Buffet is not replenished as expected. The service feels overwhelmed!!! Last but not least, a long wait for our bill. Simply terribly bad! We could have just left like that.

We were there with a baby who started crying. We were bullied and strictly told that we should “make” the baby quiet. And if it doesn't get quiet, we have to get out. What a disgrace!! The baby dropped something (spoiled). It was said in a stern tone that we should clean it up. I would have cleaned it up, I care about the way you say something!!! Not recommended!!!! PS: This one star, which I unfortunately have to enter here, is already too much for this restaurant. Ambience is nice, but that's it. There are plenty of other friendlier, tastier buffet restaurants in the area.

After today's visit we no longer feel like coming here. First and foremost the service, it's terrible, rude and inappropriate! Firstly, five minutes after we received the menu, the waiter accused us of taking too long to place an order ('Still not?! Oh, how long this is taking!'). Secondly, the waiter pronounces some words so unclearly that you can't understand anything, and then asks with a grin: 'Don't you understand what I'm saying? Oh dear, oh dear.' That was around 12 noon today. This terrible attitude will not allow us to come back. As many have already written here – it used to be better. Better in service, quality and quantity of food. But management doesn't seem to care. Goodbye.

The buffet was cleared 1.5 hours before closing time and so we didn't get anything to eat anymore. That seems to be the experience at this adventure restaurant.

Without exaggerating, this All You Can Eat is absolutely worth the money. First of all, about food: A huge selection of meat, poultry and beef. All very good! The freshly prepared exotic dishes are also a culinary delight. There are ice cream, desserts and snacks in abundance. Service: Extremely friendly and loving staff, stress-free and happy to help you with any questions. I was absolutely impressed and thrilled by the way they worked. Everything was timely and super structured. Ambiance: Really very pretty traditional meets modern art. Everything is perfectly color coordinated. Even the toilets are a work of art. Conclusion: With 3 people for dinner, All You Can Eat costs an average of €90. I highly recommend this All You Can Eat restaurant.

Chinese buffet with 🍣! Good selection and quality

There is little wrong with the food itself, the price/performance ratio is justifiable compared to other similar concept stores. The taste was good average. The very inattentive staff repeatedly only cleared away dishes long after you had already sat at the table and eaten with new food (we drew attention to this by loudly stacking the empty dishes standing around on the table). The food from the grill was not brought to the table and was left visible to us for around 10 minutes (with six other plates already ready), so we picked it up ourselves. It was only this action that persuaded one of the actually plentiful employees to at least bring the plates that were prepared later to the tables. When grilling, there was insufficient separation between portions, so my partner, who finds seafood disgusting, ended up with a mini octopus between his meat. We were not asked if we would like new drinks, even though glasses were empty. We found it hygienically questionable that when it came to raw meat products for the grill, only about half of the types had their own tongs. Guests took poultry with tongs that had previously been with beef or shrimp from pork with tongs. Prawns were not among the fish/seafood, but between types of meat. It shouldn't be like that, even with regard to allergies or nutritional concerns. My partner also pointed this out. We knew the shop because we had picked something up via TGTG a while ago and wanted to really try out the restaurant.

We always have such nice service! Everyone is super nice! The food is great and there is a lot of choice and, above all, everything is fresh! There is also a lot for children. A birthday song was put on for our daughter today and she received 2 muffins with candles. We were so touched! Thank you!!!!!!!

A very large selection of dishes, including sweet dishes. Unfortunately the restaurant is very large and noisy. To clear the plates, a dish trolley moves through the aisles like in a canteen. The restaurant also lacks personality, you're happy when the waiter sees you and you can't order more drinks that have to wait a while. Overall, nothing special, but a quick solution to go out for Asian food. I think it's great that people who overeat and pile it on their plates and don't finish paying a kind of "penalty fee".

The wonderful Chinese style, the variety and freshness of the dishes, their excellent taste and unforgettable impressions will delight you. There were a lot of visitors there, but that didn't stop us from feeling comfortable. I absolutely loved everything, the cleanliness was at a high level. Thank you for your professionalism. How can you deteriorate so much in a year? Service - almost non-existent. The service seems unmotivated, the greeting is superficial, you don't really feel welcome. The food had apparently been in the buffet for half the day, unsightly and dried out. The roasted duck consisted of fat and cartilage with rubber meat in between. Fresh refills were no longer made after 8 p.m., so you had to make do with what was still drying out on display. 25€/buffet meal is far too expensive for the quality of the food and non-existent service. Terrible - never again.

I'm usually someone who always tips when there is good service and friendly treatment. But unfortunately my visit to Golden Phoenix with my friends was a very disappointing experience. One of the service staff was extremely unfriendly and made racist comments several times, apparently in a funny way. She ignored me even though I asked her for something. For this reason we decided not to tip. She then mockingly asked us if we were from Africa and said that 99% of Africans who eat here don't tip either. She shook her head as she did so. Unfortunately, I don't know this woman's name, but this behavior is unacceptable and disrespectful. I cannot recommend this store to anyone who wants to be treated humanely and does not tolerate racist comments. I will pass on this experience to my circle of friends and acquaintances. Such behavior is outrageous and should actually be reported.

Everything is average: good and fresh ingredients and all you can eat in the buffet version. But I would have given it 4 stars before, until the day when the recipe for the dark of the three sauces was changed. The new dark sauce is very bland, so I now have to mix myself a reasonable sauce in a bowl (on the left in the photo above) with the soy sauce and the salt and pepper (which are at the tables). The old sauce was very well coordinated and could be used plug-and-play. I deduct one star for this now required customer contribution. The hope that the bland sauce was just a one-off mistake was unfortunately dashed today when I had to cry over the same result for the third time, a few weeks apart. Still, overall just three stars for me, nothing more and nothing less.

Went to this restaurant for the first time. There was a lunch buffet for us with a lot of choice. However, we didn't like the food. It looked appetizing, but was almost unseasoned and tasted of nothing. We tried many different dishes and none of them tasted good to us. The only exception was the green beans with garlic. The service was a bit lackluster, but still OK. Cleanliness so-so. All in all disappointing and we won't be going back.

Went there for the dinner buffet yesterday and never again! We were there at 9pm and according to Google it was open until 10:30pm. At 9:40 p.m. the buffet was largely cleared away without notice and we were pressured in a very unpleasant way (one of us was physically very close by an employee) to serve ourselves otherwise everything would end up in the trash. At that time we had only served ourselves at the buffet once! Our food, which was supposed to be grilled, came back partly oversalted and partly burnt. When there was evidence of this, the only response was a dry apology... During this time you could clearly see the lady behind the drinks counter picking her nose, which was of course extremely appetizing. Then, at 10 p.m., some of the lights were turned off while we were still eating. Even if the buffet lasts until 10 p.m., you can politely point out that one last round can take place and then clear up. But put everything away at 9:40 p.m. and then charge the full buffet price? Just unprofessional and unfriendly! Above all, nothing for a cozy evening!

Very bad staff. I was really shocked by them. I noticed the clerk looking at us strangely, but paid him no attention until the hour of departure came. The voices were getting louder and I don't know why I wanted to call the police, but my wife wasn't happy. I will try to file a lawsuit against them after consulting my lawyer.
