First, the positives. The ambiance and decor It was quite nice, as you'd expect from an Asian restaurant. However, a little less nice compared to others we've visited. There was a padded children's corner where our son (17 months) could play. However, there were only soft, head-sized dice to play with, that's all. Service We were here in the evening (around 8 p.m.), and I had specifically called ahead to see if it was still worth it and if they were restocking. This only happened after asking... but the staff were quite friendly and helpful. Now for the negatives! The food... Well, what can I say? The buffet was... okay... but the grill was a disaster! In the area with the fresh food, which should have been refrigerated, the ice on which the food was "sitting" had completely melted, so the food was swimming in water like fish and meat instead of being on ice... that really spoiled my appetite! The sauces were also rather uninspiring... And the sushi 🍣 looked rather unappetizing too. The rest of the buffet was okay.

Was in Bremen for work and we discovered this place by pure luck. They have a big variety of foods that you can just take from the buffet and some that you have to request. But all of it was quite tasty and we definitely got our money worth. Will definitely go there again should I happen to visit Bremen once more.

Went there for lunch today, service was terrible, you had to run behind to order something to drink! You won't be asked if you want to order anything else. Tables are not cleared, service is only available with cell phones or with Chinese guests. Never come back. You are still accused of not having time even though you were there from 12:00-2:40. Just sitting around without drinks is no fun.

Worst restaurant EVER!!! DO NOT GO unless you want to be treated badly!! I went to this restaurant today with my 68 year old mom. She has not been feeling well so this meal was supposed to be a treat for her and we had the buffet lunch. The food itself was average but the service was absolutely TERRIBLE!! We got our food, sat down and then a tall angry looking Asian female waitress came over to take our drink order. I ordered a 1L bottle of coca cola and 1 large PINT (in a tall glass) of alcohol free beer for my mom. The woman came back with a small BOTTLE of beer (not what we asked for) and then started SHOUTING at my mom when she told her this wasn’t the drink she asked for. How can you shout at an elderly woman? This is unacceptable behaviour !!! I was so angry that I wanted to leave immediately but my mom wanted to stay to finish the meal but I lost my appetite and we left shortly after. You absolutely RUINED my special day with my mom with your nasty attitude! I DO NOT recommend this restaurant at all and will NEVER come back again!! The waitress is VERY rude, aggressive and should NOT be working with customers. I have seen ALOT of other reviews on this place and they don’t seem to care that their staff is rude, angry & mean as long as they can grab your money. I would give ZERO if I could - AVOID THIS PLACE!!

Very good selection, friendly staff and no emptiness to be found in the buffet.

On public holidays the price is €25 + €4 drink. But the food was mostly empty and nothing would be refilled for a long time. 2 small pieces of duck that were totally dry, noodles empty, rice empty and only refilled 20 minutes later. Cheapest ice cream that doesn't even taste like chocolate and has ice crystals in it.

I used to go there more often, but it has gotten worse and worse. I know some people who don't go there anymore

Very disappointing! The glasses were dirty and when we complained it was simply ignored. The waitress was rude and not helpful at all. The wine was brought without an opener and when we asked for the receipt it was not given to us. I've never experienced anything like this in a restaurant. Never again!

We just left this restaurant for lunch. It's not our first time here. But today the service was terrible. Especially at the end, the man (whom we asked to pay) came in doing calculations by hand. It took him a long time to come back, and when he did, he started yelling and swearing at us to get us to pay because he's in a hurry and has a lot of work to do. Excuse me? It took you 30 minutes to bring water, which we had to ask for three times, and on top of that, at the end, he yells and swears "because he's in a hurry." If you don't like your job or customer service, don't work here! You have to be polite.

We have eaten there several times for a buffet and have been satisfied so far. But after today's visit we will seriously think about going there again. There were a lot of families with children there, some of them were running around the restaurant the whole time and nothing was said to them by the waitress. You sit and don't feel the size, well done. But now: Mother, Jesus,... Ni Hao applies here. 6 or 7 buffet counters (5m wide on both sides!) You can find EVERYTHING there. But: leave it out 😀!! At the very front there are two huge counters with food to sizzle on. Meat, fish, crabs, squid, .. I HAVE NEVER SEEN THIS MUCH CHOICE BEFORE. And everything is fresh and clean. @ Service: quick cleaning is also ongoing here. Do this to yourself, preferably from 12:00!! Then it's still empty, subtle, pleasant music. Later, I was afraid they wouldn't fill the place (ha!): That's what's burning the hut... And they still do it! We were in there for 3.5 hours; doesn't happen that often, but it means: we sat well and we liked it. Have fun.

Typical all-you-can-eat Mongolian or Chinese. There are many of this kind in Bremen. In terms of price, I think they're now really approaching the pain threshold. Not just here. You could just go out and eat a buffet in a more carefree way. Here it is no better or worse than other such restaurants.

I can't believe you can come to the restaurant with your dog... Dogs in restaurants pose a hygiene problem. The business outlook imposes strict regulations on innkeepers - absolutely right - eyes are closed when dogs are in restaurants. Why? The waitresses often touch the dogs and sometimes bring a bowl of water to the table, but then they don't wash their hands and their own food is then brought to the table by the same waitress. For example, if the restaurant displays food openly, such as at a salad bar or buffet, dogs may not be allowed for hygiene reasons.😲. Fly traps for the catering trade – this is what you should keep in mind. Very good restaurant. The buffet is incredibly varied and also rich. It is always refilled quickly but adapted to demand so that nothing dries out or becomes strange. The toilets are well maintained.

Of all the disgusting places I've visited, the buffet was practically a collection of leftover food. The sushi made me sick, the fish wasn't fresh at all, the rice was old, the marshmallows were hard and the fruit was spotty, dry and spoiled. It was honestly the worst €70 I've ever spent in a restaurant in Bremen. This place should either close or use fresh food. The food is just average, nothing special but they don't skimp on the salt. We were there with several children, unfortunately a plate broke and we were supposed to be 10!!! Pay euros for it. Since the cash register system cannot list a plate, the money was given back to us in the end because we did not agree to pay for it as various dishes. There is a children's play area where shoes should be taken off, but there are basically no toys at all, but there are cigarette butts in the corners. The fried things aren't cooked through and you can't even see the inside because of all the dough. At 9 p.m. nothing was refilled, the fruit was long gone and the chocolate fountain was unclean. Staff, especially the live chef, bad-tempered, his cooking was cold and undercooked, it also went much too quickly, the plate was thrown at us. The ladies room was floating on the sink, paper everywhere. We won't be coming back.

So on 19/12/2024 i and my family went to this restaurant. Adults are meant to pay €23,90 and children €11. When we got the bill at it was almost €200. We asked the waiter to explain why the bill was almost €200 given it was 6 adults and one kid. This man charged my 9 year old little sister as an adult when the given price is €11 for kids. A scam if u ask me because even when we got our tables he asked her age and she said 9. On top of that we’re an African family eating food that we’ll pay for. The waiter kept passing around our table and making i and my family uncomfortably. He kept staring at us and watching us like we were gonna steal something. He also had a nasty attitude. When we confronted him about charging a kid €23,90 he started shouting back. When we ask for WIFI they lie and say that they cant give u but on their bio it says has WIFI! Its safe to say that i wont be stepping foot in that restaurant again. Such trashy waiter. Golden Phönix employees need to do better. Also be careful they might charge ur children as adult too so always check the receipt! Scammers

The renovation shouldn't be at the expense of the guests..The staff looked unkempt and bored (the lady)..We treated ourselves to cocktails on the occasion of my birthday..what can I say..You can't have a cocktail!
