I came with my family, and the staff's reception was poor from the start. I felt uncomfortable eating because of their appearance. We weren't treated well, the food wasn't in the best condition, and when I paid, I told the employee about the mistreatment, to which he replied: "Don't come here again."

I have never had such a bad meal in a restaurant in my life. My daughter (10 years old) had fried noodles that contained more bean sprouts than noodles. And of course, they were cold. The dessert selection was quite extensive. There was a lot on offer, from pineapple, cake, tiramisu, fruit, ice cream, and other sweets. However, the quality of the desserts was very poor. The fruit was already brown, the tiramisu was mushy, the chocolate fountain was empty, and the ice cream had already formed ice crystals. The female waitress was wearing a blouse. The blouse was hanging halfway out of her pants, the bottom button was undone, and her stomach was showing. We felt really uncomfortable. When we decided to leave, we wanted to pay and just go. We waited again for the waitress for about 10 minutes. When no one came, we had to get up until the waiter noticed that we wanted to leave. He put his phone away just before we reached our table and presented us with the bill. The price is the final straw. For a 10-year-old, you pay €20 (€2 per year of age) and €31 per person. So we paid €82 for a terrible meal and a ruined evening. CONCLUSION: We will never eat here again. We'd rather go to a good Chinese restaurant where everything is freshly prepared. We'd rather pay €10 more and have a great evening and a fantastic meal. NOT RECOMMENDED

The entire place reeked of fish and rotten meat, especially near the Mongolian grill. The buffet was a throwback to 90s buffets with boring dishes prepared in an even more boring way. The pork in gravy, in my opinion, wasn't meat at all, but some kind of offal, like liver, seasoned with MSG. The beef was the same. If that was beef, then I'm no chef. All the fried items were cheap convenience food. You can buy decent convenience food elsewhere; this stuff was clearly scraped from the back of the Metro. The cooking oil was definitely old, the rice was overcooked to a powder, and the sushi shouldn't even be called human food. Not even my dog ​​would eat it. How can anyone cook so badly and treat food with such disrespect? I wasn't expecting much, but I was still disappointed. The sushi was also strangely wet, so either the fish or the vegetables were still wet or frozen. The upside is that the duck is so dry you can use the water from the sushi to make it more moist. All joking aside, this place should be inspected by the food safety authorities and avoided by everyone in Bremen!

90 euros paid for buffet for 2 people

I've never had such a bad meal, and the service was absolutely nonexistent. We had a Christmas party there, the floor was sticky (I thought I had chewing gum stuck to my shoe), the buffet was rarely, if ever, refilled, it wasn't really clean, the food wasn't even warm, the fruit was already brown from sitting in the display for ages, the all-inclusive drinks were warm... and plates weren't cleared from the tables, etc.

It's a very good restaurant in Bremen; the buffet food is absolutely fantastic. I enjoyed it very much and would gladly come back. The service was very friendly and attentive. The value for money is excellent. It's highly recommended and a real gem. Plus, it's easily accessible by tram line 3 and bus lines 40, 41, 23, and 29.

I went there with my company for our Christmas party on December 6, 2025. There were 26 of us, but the bill was for 27. Although the group photo clearly showed that there were only 26 of us, the waiter claimed on the phone the next day that this wasn't true. He was certain he'd counted us himself. We've been regulars at the Golden Phoenix in the Hansa-Carré for years, but today we were truly disappointed for the first time. An hour after the buffet opened, the selection was already very limited, and the usually good shrimp were dry and overcooked. When we returned six shrimp, the server addressed us in an inappropriately accusatory tone. Shortly afterward, several staff members were at our table discussing our complaint loudly—extremely unpleasant in a crowded restaurant. We felt so unwelcome afterward that we paid without really eating or finishing our drinks and left immediately. After this experience, we definitely won't be returning.

We went to the dinner buffet at the Golden Phönix on Pfalzburger Straße this evening. During the live cooking, the chef and a member of staff were sitting at a table, having a heated and loud argument in Chinese. Suddenly, the two of them stood up, shoved and hit each other, threw plates and food, and other employees intervened. The shouting lasted at least 20 minutes. None of the guests had any appetite, but they still charged us, with no apology. As a guest, we were just afraid the situation would escalate further. A fellow guest made a video about it and posted it on TikTok. In the end, everyone left because they felt unsafe and uncomfortable. The food was okay, but the ice cream wasn't fresh and had already thawed. The salad bar is minimalist.

Very disappointing and absolutely not recommended! The food was extremely salty and inedible. Even worse: My two children and we adults suffered severe vomiting and nausea afterward – a nightmare for the whole family. Something like that should never happen in a restaurant! It made for a very bad weekend and we urgently want to warn others.

I visited Bremen for a weekend getaway, and my relative brought me to this restaurant. There was a great variety of dishes, and everything we tried was delicious. We arrived right when the restaurant opened, and within just a few minutes it was already packed with customers — a clear sign of how popular it is.

The food is fresh and quickly replenished at the buffet. With freshly cooked/fried food, it depends on the number of plates on the table; the more, the cooler it will be, as it's collected on a trolley and served together. If, for example, three dishes are served at the same time, the food arrives piping hot at the table. The ambiance is typically Chinese. The staff is very nice. It's hard to understand, though; they push chairs back and forth (very loudly) instead of lifting them. While cleaning the kitchen (just before closing time), we smoked in the kitchen, which is why they only gave it one star.

We paid €76 for three people, including water, Fanta, and a small beer. The price would be justified with good food, ambiance, and service staff with a smile, but none of that was missing today. We won't try again. I told the server what we experienced today, which he apparently wasn't interested in. Sorry, but I can only say it unfiltered.

The prices are good for lunch – it would just be nice if the food was kept hot, or at least warm enough. Given the current situation, we will refrain from enjoying the buffet in the evening.
