The food is good, but unfortunately only lukewarm. 👎

The buffet is fantastic and extremely varied, and most of it is delicious. They certainly didn't skimp on the desserts. Unfortunately, you're greeted like you're from the tax office. Friendliness isn't really important to me when I'm hungry. The biggest problem, however, is the restroom. I've never seen such filthy and excrement-covered toilets in my life. Every train station toilet is a temple of cleanliness by comparison. I saw a review here where someone had the same problem (three months ago). Apparently, nobody cares if all the restrooms are filthy and disgusting. I'd rather not know what the kitchen looks like, but at least I didn't get sick. I don't understand why they let it slide. The dining area was spotless, it was cleaned regularly, but nobody cares about the restroom? How can this be a permanent state of affairs?

I don't like that you made less food

My friend and I just wanted to eat there, but then the woman forced us to buy drinks, even though we didn't want anything. Afterwards, they charged us €4.20 for a 0.4l glass of regular water. Never again will I go to that place! It's awful. I wouldn't recommend eating there to anyone if you want to get ripped off.

Unfortunately, there's not much good to say about this restaurant! The two of us went there around 2:00 PM for the lunch buffet – open until 3:00 PM – and experienced a huge disappointment regarding the quality and presentation of the food offered. It started with lukewarm fried noodles, lukewarm baked chicken breast, and absolutely burnt and dried-out pieces of twice-cooked duck, which were only replaced 10 minutes later after we asked the server if there were any fresh ones. Then there was a single mussel floating in water, and the whole salmon, which tasted absolutely awful and was truly inedible, yet was still being eaten by other guests. I asked the staff to please try the salmon. The waiter took a small plate to test it and said that it was supposedly topped with cheese, but there was no sign of any on the fish. Additionally, there was a (subtle) comment that it used to taste better. The only hot dishes were the rice, the soup, and the "eight treasures." Around 2:00 PM, nothing much was being replenished, so overall, it's probably best to arrive around noon to get a decent buffet. P.S.: Because of the play area right at the entrance to the restaurant, it was unbearably loud at times, as the little ones were making themselves heard with screams and romping at full volume. The noise reverberated throughout the entire restaurant at an enormous volume, making it feel like sitting in a train station. What a shame!

We "celebrated" a birthday here. We made a reservation without any problems and got good seats. Happy Birthday was played, and we were given a small Chinese wine. The server was nice and polite.

While the buffet offers a wide selection, the taste wasn't convincing. Meat and fish are cooked on the same grill, and the frying isn't separated. As a result, some dishes are unsuitable for certain groups of guests—for example, for hygiene or religious reasons. Given these restrictions, the price seems rather high.

Unfortunately, the quality has declined significantly. Some of the food didn't seem fresh, was cold, and tasted rather bland and sticky. I was disappointed and will think twice about returning.

No matter what I ate, everything tasted bland and mostly salty! The best thing was the ice cream... I just remembered why I was last there more than six years ago. I won't make that mistake again.

This "restaurant" should be closed IMMEDIATELY – the health department has been informed!! Once supposedly recommended, now a complete disgrace. My wife and I eat out regularly – but what's happening here is an absolute disgrace. This establishment doesn't even deserve to be called a "restaurant"; it's simply an eyesore! Positive (if you want to call it that): A children's corner for 3-10 year olds. Yes, nice – but what's the point? Why not for 2-year-olds or 11-year-olds too? Half-hearted and well-thought-out, like the whole place. Negative (and there are more than enough): 1. The shrimp were ALL covered in feces because the intestines weren't removed. Absolutely disgusting, revolting, and hazardous to health – and that at €25 per person! Any normal restaurateur would be ashamed. 2. The staff is completely overwhelmed. A waitress who can't even carry two plates and a glass? That's a joke. 3. Live cooking? More like a "slow-motion disaster." With barely 20 guests, the wait was almost 40 minutes (it felt longer!). And then the food ended up at the wrong table. When I pointed this out, I was dismissed with an annoyed "No, no, not German" – incredibly disrespectful! Communication works well in other Asian restaurants – but here it's a complete non-starter. 4. The restrooms are a nightmare. I've seen cleaner conditions in train station restrooms – and that's saying something! 5. Drinks? A cheap 2-liter bottle of Coke, poured into a glass – and then they charge €10 per liter! That borders on rip-off. 6. It's a stifling 30 degrees Celsius in the dining room, with no windows open. Obviously intentional, so you order even more overpriced drinks with the completely over-salted frozen food. A lousy scam at the expense of the guests. Conclusion: This isn't just a failure, it's a disgrace for the restaurant industry. Disastrous hygiene, a culinary disgrace, and a laughingstock. Every cent spent here is wasted money, every bite a risk. This shouldn't be allowed in Germany – CLOSE IT!

We often come here, even though we live on the other side of town. The restaurant has a principle: pay for a seat and eat as much as you can. Drinks, however, have to be paid for separately. If you want to bring your own alcohol, then 10€ for a bottle of 0.7.

Unfortunately, the food is really not good anymore. I wouldn't touch the meat again - it was inedible. In general, the entire buffet is just reminiscent of frozen and warmed up. The chocolate fountain also looked stale. Only the dessert was okay (but letting something thaw isn't that difficult either). When my partner wanted to get dessert, we were asked whether we wanted to pay, even though we didn't say anything. When we really wanted to pay, the German-speaking waitress sat in the corner and watched videos. A younger lady had to ask her several times to cash in on us. We won't come here anymore.

Had the lunch menu for 20 euros including a drink. Typical Chinese buffet with baked potato, which is surprising but a change from noodles, rice and chips. Food, expectedly good with of course ice cream, salad, sushi, fresh fruit. Point deductions in each case: Service was very adequate, people stood around at the counter bored. A cold birthday group was at the buffet.

Never again ! We were happy to eat here again, having been there a few years ago. The food was lukewarm to cold, tough and dry. For the hefty 25 euros for a normal buffet, I was only able to eat a few bites of salad and 2 pieces of really tough meat that cut like rubber. Unfortunately the rest was inedible. We had the feeling that the warming containers for the food did not work at all or were not in use The chocolate fountain looked like it had been warmed up over and over again for a few days. The fruit department didn't look any better either The waitress just shrugged her shoulders when we complained about the cold food. We won't enter a store like this again! To be served an inedible meal for 2 people for 60 euros is a disgrace!

Words cannot describe what a traumatizing experience our visit to the restaurant yesterday was... Starting with the extremely rude staff who wanted to throw us out because not everyone wanted their own drink. Then they kept gossiping about us and pointing fingers at us, we couldn't understand a word, which made us feel quite uncomfortable. The quality of the food is below average and at the Mongolian Grill, for which you pay €25 per person, all the meat tasted like disgusting fish... Although we asked the staff twice not to grill our meat right next to the other fish dishes... In addition to this terrible atmosphere in which you constantly feel like you are being watched and the finger is being pointed at you, comes the final crowning glory... That same night I had to vomit up to six times and was therefore in the toilet for a whole hour at 2am!!! I regretted every second I spent in this terrible restaurant... from the disgusting food, to the overpriced prices, and then to the rude staff who just complained. It felt like a nightmare... I hope you don't have to go through the same thing as me.

We were guests at the Phoenix Chinese Restaurant in Bremen every 3-4 months for years and were always satisfied - but what we experienced on our last visit was simply disappointing and disrespectful. As soon as we entered we were greeted extremely unfriendly by the waitresses. We were told straight away that we would only be allowed to partake in the buffet if we ordered something to drink. A few minutes later, two other guests arrived who hadn't ordered anything - and they were allowed to eat at the buffet as normal. We still don't know why different rules applied here. The food was a disaster: it was lukewarm, didn't feel fresh at all and tasted really bad. The sushi looked like it had been there for two weeks - absolutely inedible. The raw meat that could be grilled also didn't look fresh, and some of it even had a greenish tint - an imposition. But dealing with our friend's fish allergy was particularly bad. We politely told the employees three times that please don't grill fish with the meat. Nevertheless, our chicken and lamb chops tasted like fish. When we asked politely, we were suddenly told that we were “disturbing” and that you should “eat what you get”. An absolute disgrace. In addition, the employees were constantly standing near us, watching us, pointing fingers at us and talking about us in their own language - while people laughed and continued pointing at us. That was extremely unpleasant and disrespectful. This is not how you treat paying guests. To make matters worse, we were also charged the most expensive water - €7.99 for half a bottle of water. Seriously? By the end of the night we all felt unwell - and unfortunately some of us even vomited. After this experience, it was clear to us: This was our last visit to the Phoenix. We used to enjoy visiting the restaurant, but after this disrespectful, unhygienic and just plain bad experience, all we can say is: never again. And we can no longer recommend it to anyone.

Normalerweise sind wir immer gerne dort essen, wenn wir in Bremen sind , aber diesmal es war einfach nur schlecht. Wir waren um 21:20 dort, fragten ob es noch essen gibt , ziemlich genervt heißt es ja bis 22 Uhr . Kurz Suppe kalt am mongolischen Büffet kaum noch etwas da, andere Speisen ziemlich rar und nicht richtig warm und um 21:45 war es nicht mehr möglich noch Nachtisch zu bekommen. Auf Nachfrage beim Chef heißt es msn könnte ja sagen was man will, auf den Einwand das wurde am mongolischen Büfett ignoriert und bei einem Büfett sollte doch das geschriebene Essen auch da sein und nicht der Nachtisch im 21:45 abgeräumt , denn schlussendlich zahlt man ja auch für alles. Die Antwort war toll , er beschäftigt doch nicht 15 Personen für 2 Gäste. 1 waren mehr da, 2 ist die Öffnungszeit bis 23 Uhr und Büfett bis 22 Uhr angegeben und auch auf Anfrage so genannt worden. Sorry das alles für 54,90 € ist schlichtweg unverschämt

Normally we always like to eat there when we are in Bremen, but this time it was just bad. We were there at 9:20 p.m., asked if there was still food, and quite annoyed we were told until 10 p.m. Short cold soup at the Mongolian buffet, there was hardly anything left, other dishes were quite rare and not really warm and at 9:45 p.m. it was no longer possible to get dessert. When I asked the boss, I was told that msn could say whatever I wanted, but my objection was ignored at the Mongolian buffet, and at a buffet the written food should also be there and not the dessert cleared away at 9:45 p.m., because in the end you pay for everything. The answer was great, he doesn't employ 15 people for 2 guests. 1 there were more, 2 the opening time is until 11 p.m. and the buffet is stated until 10 p.m. and was also mentioned that way upon request. Sorry, all of this for €54.90 is simply outrageous

Very very rude, apart from the fact that the food tasted nothing, everything was cold and the sushi tasted like it had been there for 2 days, the shop smells of sweat, the cashier can't talk normally, I've never seen a cashier so loud impolite !! Once and never again.

If a restaurant is open all day, you can expect to get something to eat all the time! We were there this afternoon around 3 p.m. There were still a few guests there, but they had already finished eating. The first waitress said that we could only order from the menu because the buffet was already closed. It's not that bad... then the next person came around the corner and said that the kitchen was already closed and that we could still eat from the buffet. We went to the buffet and actually we should have left the store by then because there wasn't really a selection left. We put a few things on our plates and went back to the table. Almost everything was cold and the meat was just dry. The Eight Precious Pieces were so hot that I could hardly eat them. Ok, it's a buffet then I'll have a second course...unfortunately the staff there had already mopped the floor and it was so wet that I almost sat on my butt and the lights from the buffet were already out. In the meantime, the staff had taken care of the already sparse leftovers and had also taken the tongs with them to remove the food. After my sliding game on the wet floor, I was more than satisfied. I forgot to mention at the beginning that one of the employees was shouting at a level that was beyond hearing and seeing. This very nice lady then cashed in on us, after we complained that this behavior was impossible and we didn't feel welcome there, she charged us the full price for the food and forgave us the two drinks....Terrible, simply terrible.....NEVER AGAIN!!! One star is still too many!!!

The food is very tasty, the choice is very large, from meat and seafood to desserts. We were with our family at the Buffet for 25 EUROS per person. We were full and satisfied. Pay for drinks separately, juices, cola, Fanta from 4 euros. Beer from 4 euros. There are strong alcohol and cocktails. You can celebrate your birthday there. Of the minuses. The room is very hot. Very noisy. You can wait 40 minutes for your meat. Overall, my family and I really enjoyed it. I recommend it.

The unlimited option is very nice. The taste is great. The water bottles, chicken and meat taste great. But it's a little expensive, but it's worth the price you pay.

We went for dinner with a group of five people. The buffet offered exceeded expectations. Fresh ingredients, plenty of selection of different types of dishes. Whether vegetarian or with chicken meat beef, there is something for everyone. In addition, a small but fine selection of sushi and a plentiful selection of various desserts. The Mongolian buffet was also very exclusive. Fine ingredients and a delicious selection to put together yourself. All in all, I can highly recommend the restaurant. The restaurant has been at this location for over ten years now, and I can say that it gets better every year.

Excellent, on Sundays they have an offer

We went to the Phönix on a Sunday evening (Mongolian buffet for €24.90). Positive: The staff was very polite and accommodating. The buffet was regularly replenished. Buffet food such as eight treasures, beef with onions etc was good. Negative: Unfortunately, the finished food (the baked/fried one) was far too firm/crispy. In my opinion, eating the Mongolian buffet took a long time. The only vegetarian sushi was maki with cucumber. It was a restless & loud atmosphere. As always, it's quite difficult, especially with buffet food. As always, it's all a question of taste.

A waitress came to our table to see if we had brought Tùpperwãre with us to fill us with food, because some people probably do that! I told her we didn't have anything with us to fill ourselves with food. She left after a long time! So outrageous! We've been going there for a long time, unfortunately it's gotten worse overall. We don't need it again! It's a shame that it's now the only buffet in Bremen!

I come here often with my family. The food is rock solid. The service depends on the person. I was treated very well and very badly, I will say. I have the feeling that sometimes you want to get rid of me quickly after eating. Ambiance fits. One note: the dishes and plates are not always completely clean. We had dinner there with the family on Sunday evening. Since then I have had stomach cramps and also abdominal pain. So everyone who has grilled meat and fish from us has these problems. For me that was the LAST TIME. NEVER AGAIN. The last time I had it was in August, but it wasn't that bad.

This Asian restaurant used to be one of my favorite restaurants, but unfortunately it has now become a real disappointment. The quality of the food has deteriorated significantly - it often only tastes average, and the freshness sometimes leaves a lot to be desired. The service has also deteriorated: the employees often seem inattentive and you sometimes have to wait longer for orders. Only the ambience is still a plus point. The furnishings are stylish and create an authentic, cozy atmosphere that invites you to linger. Unfortunately, the great ambience cannot compensate for the poor food and mediocre service. Overall, it's a shame that the restaurant is no longer what it once was. In that sense, thank you for reading ✌

Some people should be turned away at the door. You can't go to the restaurant in sweatpants. Also the loud babbling of some groups.
