Restaurant "Goethestube" in Wuppertal

Exceptionally friendly staff. Delicious food. Lovely atmosphere.

Unfortunately, the value for money didn't convince us. €18 for a schnitzel that tastes almost like a frozen product doesn't seem reasonable. While the dessert was also okay, the price of €8.50 for the apple pancakes with ice cream seemed a bit high for the portion size. The freshly prepared side dishes, such as the fried potatoes and the mushroom cream sauce, were solid and tasty. Overall, we would rate the meal closer to a 6 on a scale of 1 to 10. The service was attentive, courteous, and polite. We were only a bit disappointed that there was no option to tip when paying by card.

We and our dog received a very friendly welcome and were escorted to the quaint restaurant. The atmosphere is very cozy, the food delicious and plentiful. The staff are attentive and exceptionally friendly. It was a successful restaurant visit.

Five of us ate at the Goethestuben on Monday evening, and everything was fantastic. We all enjoyed the food, the conservatory is wonderfully cozy, and the staff were courteous, friendly, and attentive. We'll definitely be back...Thank you!

Has decreased a lot....-it was once recommended

A fantastic restaurant with a fantastic view and excellent service. Despite the kitchen being closed, I was served a delicious potato soup with crispy bacon and freshly baked baguette, so I could return to Mettmann by mountain bike without getting hungry!

The food was rather run-of-the-mill. The sauce was from a ready-made sauce manufacturer, the schnitzel was deep-fried, and the fried potatoes were very good. The service was very prompt and very friendly!

One waitress serving the entire restaurant, took 30 minutes for her to take our drinking order. Food was okay, big portions but nothing special.

We have now been sitting in the restaurant for 1.5 hours. We were able to place an order after just 45 minutes and we just got our first drinks! There are five of us here and we are excited to see what happens next. It will stay with this one visit!

A nice atmosphere. The entire team is very young and very hard working. Our dog and we were very welcome. Unfortunately, the food is cooked with a lot of finished products. Today it is no longer necessary to cook cheaply because the prices are too high. The meat was well prepared and then a sauce was poured over it. Too bad! I'm always happy to pay more for well-prepared food. I would give a maximum of three stars for this.
