Restaurant Gerberhaus in Ulm

Ein wunderschönes Lokal mit authentischer regionaler Küche in einem traditionellen Haus am Flussufer. Die Gerichte waren hervorragend zubereitet, und der Service war aufmerksam und freundlich. Die Speisekarte war etwas eingeschränkt, und es gab keine englische Speisekarte, was die Bestellung etwas erschwerte. Auch WLAN war nicht verfügbar. Trotzdem sorgten das charmante Ambiente und die hohe Qualität des Essens für ein rundum gelungenes Erlebnis.

Waren als Gruppe da, ich würde nicht wieder kommen wollen! Mehr habe ich nicht zu sagen.

Ambiente ist nett gewesen, der Rostbraten war nicht gut, ebenso der Service.

Ihr essen ist nichts besonnderes und ohr service ist einfach beleidigend , außerdem sind die preise nicht wert das essen waren absolut enttäuscht.

Die Vorspeise vergessen, Gemüse in Hauptgericht waren schwarz und ungenießbar. Der Kellner ist durchschnittlich.

Gemütliches Wirtshaus in der Altstadt von Ulm, direkt an einem Arm der Blau. Gute Küche.

Total herablassend. Unfreundlich. Essen mittelmäßig. Nie wieder und würde ich auch nicht weiterempfehlen.

Sehr schönes traditionelles Restaurant mit guter Küche und sehr freundlichem Service. Nicht günstig, aber das Preis-Leistungs-Verhältnis stimmt. Im Sommer ist der Außenbereich sehr zu empfehlen, da es für meinen Geschmack innen bei voller Tischauslastung leider viel zu laut für eine entspannte Unterhaltung ist.

Wunderschöne Lage direkt am Fluss mit ruhiger Atmosphäre – ideal zum Entspannen. Speisen und Getränke sind gut, und das Personal ist freundlich. Eine hervorragende Wahl für ein entspanntes Abendessen oder Drinks abseits des Trubels.

Sehr freundlich und schlne Gastwirtschaft. Wir waren zum Desert da und waren sehr zufrieden .

Einer der besten Restaurants in Ulm. Gutes schwäbisches Essen in einer sehr schönen Location. Urig gemütlich und auf für größere Gruppen gibt es Platz. Preislich etwas gehoben bei sehr guter Qualität. Wenn es anstatt Gold Ochsen jetzt noch Berg Bier geben würde, wäre es Perfektion ;) Gerberhaus geht immer und man wird nie enttäuscht.

Ich war kürzlich mit 2 Kollegen dort essen, war mein zweiter Besuch, jeweils zur Messe in Ulm. Freue mich schon jetzt auf 2027. Das Essen, der Service und das gemütliche Ambiente, sind nicht zu überbieten. Ich komme aus dem hohen Norden und liebe die schwäbische Küche, ganz besonders in diesem wunderbaren Restaurant 👌

Waren jetzt das zweite Mal im Gerberhaus beim Essen und beide Male war es hervorragend. Mein schwäbisches Lieblings Essen Linsen mit Spätzle ist hier ein Traum. Köstlich!!!!! Maultaschen, Mittagsmenü Backfisch war sogar mit selbstgerechter Remoulade. Es war alles sehr gut. Der Service ist sehr freundlich und aufmerksam. Die Weinkarte ist hochwertig. Einziger Kritikpunkt wäre/ ist das man hier immer reservieren muss. Daher gehe ich jetzt Mittags hin

Einer der besten Rostbraten, die ich gegessen habe. Auch die Geflügelleber war sehr zu empfehlen, wir hätten noch zusätzliche Spätzle bestellen sollen, um die ganze Sauce zu genießen. Sehr zu empfehlen im traumhaften Fischerviertel.

1A Service sowie 1A Essen. Wir hatten Schnitzel und Reh, beides sehr zart und perfekt zubereitet. Der Kaiserschmarren war der beste, den ich je hatte. Die Bedienungen sind sehr aufmerksam, freundlich, schnell und professionell - eine Seltenheit mittlerweile in Ulm. Mein neues Lieblingsrestaurant für deutsche Küche.

Sehr schönes Restaurant mit aufmerksamen Service. Die Speisen sind fein angerichtet und sehr schmackhaft. Die Speisen und Getränke sind nicht preiswert, aber da die Qualität stimmt ist es in Ordnung. Durch das alte Fachwerk strahlt das Restaurant ein angenehmes Ambiente aus. Ein Parkhaus ist in unmittelbarer Nähe. Wir kommen gerne wieder. Danke für den angenehmen Aufenthalt.

Als Ulmer dort nach vielen Jahren spontan ohne Reservierung einen Tisch bekommen. Toller Service, Essen ohne ewige Wartezeit obwohl das Restaurant komplett voll war. Die Speisekarte ist bunt gemischt und für Jeden etwas dabei. Essen war im Übrigen hervorragend. Weiter so 👍🏻

War wirklich begeistert gewesen, hervorragende Küche und Service. Die Qualität des Essens ist überragend und das zu vernünftigen Preisen.

Gerberteller war lecker, aber die Käsespätzle gehen gar nicht. In einer nicht leckeren Sauce mit verkohlten Pilzen ertränkt. Schade drum. Zum Raum selber, mir ist das viel zu eng, da wird das Maximum aus dem Platz rausgeholt. Servicepersonal war sehr nett.

Eine spontane und fantastische Entdeckung! Ein einfacher Salat, aber mit einem wirklich tollen Dressing und wunderbar zartem Rindfleisch. Mein Partner bestellte die Hähnchenleber mit Bratkartoffeln und war genauso begeistert. Der Service war äußerst aufmerksam, effizient und hatte jederzeit den Überblick – fast schon beeindruckend, wie schnell reagiert wurde. Wir waren als Touristen in Ulm und werden das Gerberhaus auf jeden Fall weiterempfehlen. Eine sehr hochwertige, authentische deutsche Küche.

Wir hatten einen tollen Abend in dem schönen Restaurant. Leckeres Essen und ein traumhaftes Ambiente. Es sollte vorbestellt werden am Samstag Abend mussten sicherlich 20 Gäste die nicht vorbestellt hatten wieder gehen.

So authentisch bayerische Küche wie nur möglich. Dass viele Einheimische dort essen, ist immer ein gutes Zeichen.

Trotz knallvoller Stube am Adventssonntag warn ZACKZACK Getränke und wunderbare Mahlzeiten auf den Tisch gezaubert. Service perfekt und humorvoll. So muss es sein, gell?! 😋👍

Charming spot by the river. We had a great meal, but it was quick, as they closed at 2:30 pm and we arrived around 1:50 pm. Good service 😊

The food was good. The older lady definitely needs to work on her friendliness... When we received the bill at the table and rounded up for a tip, she suddenly exclaimed, "WHAT?" We repeated the amount, and the lady just shook her head and laughed. I simply had to catch up with her afterward and ask what that behavior was all about when we received the bill. The lady said, "I'm not used to getting such a small tip."

After making a reservation by email starting at 5:30 pm, we were informed at 7 pm that the reservation was only valid until 7:30 pm. After this "friendly" request to leave, we were so shocked that we actually left the restaurant immediately. Our bill after 1.5 hours was €76 for 3 people. Apparently, that's not enough! So, not recommended for a relaxed meal.

A wonderful, cozy restaurant with excellent food. We wish there was a restaurant like this in Würzburg. Reservations are a must.

The food was delicious, but unfortunately the beer was undrinkable. Perhaps they could offer beers other than Ochsen.

The Käsespätzle are an absolute disgrace. Spätzle in a sour cream sauce would be a more accurate description. You can't find or taste the cheese at all. 0/0! A complete outrage!

Unfortunately, I can't rate the food since we didn't eat there. But as the saying goes, first impressions count. When we arrived and politely asked if a table was available, the elderly lady behind the counter neither greeted us nor looked at us – instead, she just gave us a grim downward glance and a dismissive shake of her head. Not a "I'm sorry, we're full" or any other friendly remark, even though several tables were empty and there were no reservation signs in sight. For this reason, we won't be visiting the restaurant again.

Nice restaurant with fair prices

I find the food very tasty. It's quick. The service is prompt and checks on the table regularly. Unfortunately, the ambiance loses one star because we were seated quite close together and couldn't open the window ourselves (the handle was removed).

Very good food with Schwebisch specific Which is already an advantage as it is very crowded due to the small space.

We stopped in spontaneously and were lucky that the owner was able to offer us a table. We ordered a salad and a broth as starters. Both were fresh and delicious. For the main course, we were served a curry and ox cheeks. It tasted fantastic, just like "mother's." Very friendly service, a lovely, cozy restaurant. We highly recommend a visit.

Great location in Ulm! Beautifully situated, amazing views, and the food is incredibly good, plus the friendly staff—you couldn't ask for more!

Not sure if Gerberhaus would ever consider writing a cookbook, but if they do I would buy it in a heartbeat. Everything we ate was fresh, local, and delicious. Service was fantastic. The atmosphere is warm and welcoming. Just what you need after a cool autumn day. We also had the opportunity to get kaise spaetzel from the take out window, and this is the best in all of Bavaria, maybe even Germany unless you have a German mother who can cook. Gerberhaus is a real hidden gem, that can't be missed if you're within 100km.

I was here for dinner a few days ago. I had a good meal, and the location is very unique and beautiful. The waitress who served us wasn't very welcoming; a little more smile would have made me feel more at home.

Very nice ambiance and friendly service. The food was good. Pork fillet tips with spaetzle and apricot cream sauce for €18.80. The restaurant was very busy at lunchtime.

The restaurant is very quaint, with some seating a bit cramped. The service is excellent; the waitress remembers everything without writing anything down. The food is simply fantastic and one of our top recommendations for Ulm. And our dog is welcome to join us. We'd be happy to come back.

Excellent!!! It's really very well cooked and served very generously. Pretty room all in wood, part of which overlooks the river, modern furniture reminiscent of the traditional. Short and reassuring menu: everything is fresh. A very good address given by our hotel (Ulmer Münster Hotel)!

Excellent pork fillet with creamed chanterelle mushrooms and spaetzle—a poem! Accompanied by excellent Pinot Blanc and Kaiserschmarren (sweet pancakes) for dessert. The schnapps and espresso were also wonderful.

Very nice ambiance, but very loud because of the water... The service was all excellent! However, we were disappointed with the food. It was very expensive for the small portions, and not to mention the truffle fries. You could taste everything in the fries except the truffles, and to charge such a high price for that is a disgrace. I wouldn't go there again. Find another restaurant!

A fantastic restaurant with wonderful service and a beautiful location in Ulm's old town. The drinks and food came very quickly; there was no long wait. The food was delicious, with generous portions to fill you up.

Despite a reservation for 10 people, we were assigned a table that was actually only suitable for 8. We had to organize an extra chair ourselves and squeeze another person onto the bench, making it a tight squeeze during the meal. The food tasted truly excellent – ​​I had the onion roast beef – but the portion was too small. The side dishes (spätzle) in particular were very limited. For the rather high price, I would have expected to be full. The ambience is nice and inviting, but the noise level in the restaurant was so high that it was almost impossible to have a conversation beyond the person sitting next to you. Conclusion: Very tasty food, but too limited in size for the price. The atmosphere was generally pleasant, but unfortunately much too loud. Overall, the value for money could be improved.

Great traditional restaurant with a cozy atmosphere. Very quaint and with a great view of the river next door. Even though it was busy, the food came quickly. Even if you pay a little more, it's definitely worth it. The roast beef with onions was amazing. Highly recommended. What we didn't like at all, however, was the older lady behind the counter who loudly bossed our waitress around and almost insulted her about many things. That's just unacceptable, no matter what industry you work in. We found it unprofessional. A shame. You should always treat employees and colleagues with respect. We would have liked to give it more stars because everything else was perfect.

Superbly located on Fischerinsel in Ulm

The food here is absolutely fantastic! I can only praise the chocolate soufflé highly; it's truly amazing! The same goes for the other dishes featured here: the cream of asparagus soup and the pike-perch fillet. The pike-perch fillet could have had a bit more vegetables and a bit less rice, but all in all, I was super satisfied; the fish itself was fantastic! The prices are on the higher side, but the experience was definitely worth it, and the restaurant is definitely worth a visit. A lovely, quaint place that offers a cozy get-together with good food and a great atmosphere! :)

Difficult. Actually a very nice and quaint restaurant in the heart of the old town. But the food 👀 Starting with fried potatoes, which I can make better at home, and lentils that were way too sour. The Wiener schnitzel was actually quite good, but was completely ruined by the fried potatoes. The worst part, however, was the obviously not homemade sauce that came with the tough ox cheeks. For a restaurant that charges between €25 and €32 for a dish, that's unacceptable. I'd heard a lot of good things, and maybe we were having a bad day, but then they should have just stayed closed. Disastrous

It's your own fault if you go to a restaurant recommended in every tourist guide. The location is good, near the old city wall with the Danube beyond. It's a little surprising when the original Swabian roast beef with onions and spaetzle (is that the original Swabian way of garnishing the spaetzle with a quarter of a tomato and cress?) arrives on your table after 5.5 minutes. Simply tourist food for those willing to pay. There's nothing more to say.

I was pleasantly surprised by this restaurant. The foods is very good and service Is efficient.

CAUTION!! The store is an absolute scam!! The four of us wanted to order two Gerber plates, the waitress then said “then I’ll just bring you four small ones, then you don’t have to share”. We assumed that in the end we would only have to pay half, but no, instead of €29.90 per Gerber plate (there would have been two for a total of €59.80), we still had to pay €25.90 for all four, so a total of €103.60 (almost DOUBLE!!!!!), absolute scam... they should have at least explained it to us. We are really very disappointed and find it unbelievable that they want to exclude four students like this... NEVER AGAIN!!!

Some guests' food came when the others had already finished. Also, some dishes were very tough. Definitely not worth the money, the good reviews are incomprehensible.

Went there spontaneously without a reservation and were warmly welcomed. There was an Easter menu with attractive dishes.

Very well located, food was delicious (even if a few more spaetzle with the onion roast would have been great). Nice ambience.

Unfortunately, it was a disappointment for us. At over €130 for four people, we expected more than a tough roast beef with onions and "Kässpätzle," which bore absolutely no resemblance to the original dish – you shouldn't call cheese and cream sauce, or rather, mush, "Kässpätzle" and sell it for almost €18. The salad, on the other hand, was very good. The service was also professional and friendly. However, for premium prices, you should also expect commensurate food, which we didn't get that day, and we both agreed that we could have done better ourselves, and for a much lower price. A waste of money.

Easen Good, prices upscale, service ok, but unfortunately there were no more drinks at 9 an.m. Nobody came past the table anymore.

Wir waren am Samstagabend zum Geburtstagsessen im Gerber Haus. 🤗 Es war einfach herrlich – die Atmosphäre war schön und gemütlich, typisch bürgerlich. Der Service und das Essen waren sensationell. Besonders die Geflügelleber – einfach ein Traum! Absolut empfehlenswert und ich freue mich schon, bald wieder dort zu essen. 😋

Love the german Traditional food here! the place is quite cozy too. we tried: Spätzle and Lentils ( with Sausage & bacon) 8.5/10 Gerberplate 8/10 plater with Beef, chicken and a bit vegetables its well cooked and tasty, only that the veggies portion could be more decaffeinated coffee 8.5/10 Good food, friendly staffs, cozy athmosphere

Were there last weekend to celebrate our civil wedding. We and our guests really enjoyed every dish! The dishes are prepared with love and tastefully seasoned. Top! Thank you!
