Still good after three years. Delicious 😋, great value for money, and super friendly service! And you can't get Hövels (beer) everywhere in the north 😄🍺

We visited this restaurant during our vacation in Grömitz. It was the first time our son wasn't served a frozen schnitzel. My plaice was okay, perhaps a little less salty. I like my food well seasoned, but in this case, unfortunately, it was borderline. It was tasty but good. My wife had pork medallions, which were very good. The ambiance could use a bit of a freshening up, but otherwise, we can recommend the restaurant.

Unbelievable, but true. There are restaurants that are better than many others. If you haven't been here, you've definitely missed something. It feels like an old pub, only modern. The girls are amazing, and the food is almost beyond words.

We visited the Frisenstube for the first time on the recommendation of locals, and it was worth it. While the ambiance may be a bit dated, it exudes exactly that cozy charm that reminds you of visiting your grandmother. The service was consistently friendly and attentive. While the drink selection is limited, the freshly tapped Jever beer on tap was impressive across the board, perfectly tempered and pleasantly refreshing. The menu is rather compact, but this in no way detracts from the quality. The food was consistently delicious and served in generous portions. The schnitzel was excellent: tender, juicy, and perfectly flavorful. The fried potatoes were also impressive. The portion of fries for two people was so generous that we could barely manage them. Overall, the portions were so generous that we ended the evening completely full and satisfied. Our conclusion: If you're looking for restaurants away from well-known spots like the promenade, you'll discover a real insider tip here. The Frisenstube shows that it's worth looking beyond the tourist hotspots if you want to eat down-to-earth, delicious food in a warm atmosphere.

Hello everyone. There were two of us and we had a Wiener schnitzel with fries and herring with fried potatoes. Absolutely delicious and top-notch service.

Unfortunately, my handbike's battery ran out shortly before our destination. We were able to charge it in the restaurant without any hassle. While we waited, we ate a salad and a portion of fries. We were served just before the kitchen closed, but we were still served very quickly and in a friendly manner. The salad was fresh and very attractively prepared. The fries are also highly recommended. I would especially like to mention the friendly staff.

Rural, traditional, and cozy. We had a reservation, which was certainly a good thing. Everyone was very happy with the dishes. The service was pleasant, friendly, and attentive. Excellent fried potatoes, delicious cucumber salad, and everything else was also top-notch. All six adults and three children were satisfied.

Es war sehr viel los nach kurzem warten an der Bar haben wir einen Platz für 2 bekommen. Die Bedienung war super das Essen war ausgezeichnet ich klamm den Dorsch sehr empfehlen. Preisleistung war sehr gut.

Nice restaurant, not far from the hustle and bustle. A few tables outside, unfortunately right on the street. We didn't have a reservation, but we were lucky to get a table. My husband had herring, which was delicious. I had a fried fish fillet in breadcrumbs. Unfortunately, it was a bit dry, and I had boiled potatoes as a side dish. The plates could have been presented more beautifully. The staff is attentive and friendly. The price is a bit too high!

We've enjoyed coming here for years. The food is always delicious (whether meat or fish) and the value for money is good. The staff and the owner are very friendly and attentive. The wine selection is very good. I have the impression that the menu is a bit smaller – probably due to the coronavirus – but it still offers a selection of meat, fish, and salads, so everyone can find something to suit their taste. Our medium-sized dog is also welcome. Reservations are recommended, as the restaurant is usually busy. The coronavirus regulations are very well enforced, but you still feel at home. A MUST for every vacation. Update May 2023: Everything is still excellent. The menu has been changed slightly, but there's still something for everyone. We still feel very comfortable and enjoy coming to you! 👍 Update June 2025: We still enjoy coming to you. Reservations are still recommended. The food is super delicious. The menu offers something for every taste. The waitresses and the manager are very friendly and attentive. We'll be there at least three times in two weeks. 😀

One of our absolute favorite restaurants. The food is simply delicious. Good, home-style cooking. Very friendly staff. The chef himself is still in charge of the kitchen, and the lady manager personally serves the delicacies. The atmosphere is inviting. The rest of the staff is also very friendly and attentive.

Das Essen war leider sehr unbefriedigend. Die Portionsgröße zwar in Ordnung aber ohne jeden Geschmack. Kein Salz und keine anderen Geschmacksträger verwendet. Selbst die Salzkartoffeln farblos und zerkocht; Bratkartoffeln ebenso ohne jede Knusprigkeit. Einfach extrem schwach. Wieso so hoch im Ranking bei Tripadviser? Die Bedienung war freundlich.

If you are in Grömitz, go eat there. On the second evening, on a Tuesday. I come from the country and don't like this city style, this is the place for me. Plaice fillet and cod, an extra salad and a bitter Nordic beer. The service was friendly and attentive. The food just the way I like it, also plenty. You should pre-order it for Saturday. A very important reason to visit Grömitz again.

In einer Punktzahl den Laden hier zu bewerten, ist etwas schwierig. Das Ambiente ist etwa aus den siebziger und achtziger Jahren. Die Bedienung ist fantastisch und super freundlich und der Geschmack des Essens war okay. Leider nur okay. Es war nichts besonderes, aber die Potionsgrösse war groß. Nur könnte sich der Koch vielleicht auch an der neueren Zeit etwas orientieren.

Wir waren zum Abendessen dort und ich muss sagen es war nur in Ordnung. Die Einrichtung ist stark in die Jahre gekommen, Teppichboden finde ich ein starkes Hygieneproblem, grade wenn Hunde erlaubt sind. Der panierte Seelachs schien ein komplettes TK Produkt zu sein und die Champignons teils frisch, teils Dose. Für einen Beilagenwechsel wurde ein Aufpreis verlangt und Ketchup und Mayo kamen in kleinen Quetschbeuteln, bei dem Preis hätte ich etwas anderes erwartet. Der Service war sehr freundlich und bemüht.

Wir kommen aus dem Süden von Deutschland und waren sehr begeistert von unserem Abendessen, die Schnitzel waren einfach super. Auch unser Hund hat etwas bekommen. Wenn wir wieder nach Grömitz kommen dann gehen wir dort aufjedenfall wieder hin. Es gibt nichts zu meckern

It was just great. Super delicious food in a cozy atmosphere. Super nice service. It was just perfect. On the other hand, when I see the mass processing Gosch where you queue in 4 lanes and have to PICK UP your food for the same money, I ask who actually goes there when there are cozy places like the Friesestube. We are already looking forward to the next time.

What can you say? One with an asterisk. Delicious drinks, good and fast service and a down-to-earth, home-style selection of food. The food? Simply great. Great side dishes, crispy fried potatoes, tender meat, an airy schnitzel. To fool. We recommend a visit and would order the fitness plate and the Holsteiner Schnitzel again immediately. You immediately notice that there is someone in the kitchen who knows something about his job and can prepare even simple dishes excellently. In addition, very friendly ladies in service. So far for me the best cuisine in Grömitz. Deserved 5 stars.

Super tasty food very rich. Staff was super friendly and attentive. The dog was also allowed into the restaurant and was provided with water straight away. The place is a little old, but that doesn't detract from the overall experience. We'd love to come back!

The best restaurant in Grömitz on our vacation. The boss cooks with love and passion. Price and performance are good. If the boss is also the cook, you don't have to worry about the future.

Whether it's schnitzel or, like today, sour meat, it's simply great. It's also perfect that fried potatoes and tartar sauce are served separately. The portions are huge and the price is very moderate. Restaurant has bourgeois charm and suits rustic food. Totally delicious and even if it is a bit out of the way you have to eat there. We ate here with the family on Christmas Day. Some had dishes from the special Christmas menu, others had dishes from the normal menu. Everything was very tasty and the portions were very large! The staff was very friendly and accommodating, the food was served quickly.

The restaurant is really an insider tip because it wouldn't have appealed to us from the outside. But thanks to Google it was clear that you could eat well there. The staff are very friendly and love children. The food was great! I often order rump steak, but the one in the photo was the best steak I've ever eaten so far. The herb butter was also very good! Clear recommendation :) Wife and daughter were happy too ;)

Kenne das Restaurant schon seit Jahrzehnten.... Ein Restaurant, wie ich es von früher her kenne....solide gut bürgerliche Küche. Sehr freundliche Mitarbeitende. Es wurden "klassisch" Zusatzverkäufe angeboten und auch während des Essens gefragt, ob es schmeckt und ob noch Getränke gewünscht werden....gibt es leider nur noch sehr selten. Gerne wieder...

We ate in the Friesenstube for the second time today. On the first visit I had Matjes Hausfrauen style and on the second visit I had the salad plate with roast beef. It was delicious every time and the service was very friendly! The furnishings are a bit old, but very well maintained and the food is great. The next table on this holiday is reserved again!

Wir waren zu 8. dort essen und allen hat es bestens geschmeckt, sodass wir die Friesenstube sehr empfehlen können. Die Preise sind kein Schnäppchen, aber für die Portionsgrößen und Qualität vollkommen ok.

Waren dort essen, alles super lecker von Schnitzel bis Fisch alles dabei gewesen. Leider war die Bedienung etwas abwesend und teilweise sehr ignorant und dauerhaft am Handy (Blond) Leere Gläser wurden übersehen oder ignoriert. Sonst wirklich toll, gerne jederzeit wieder!

Bedienung war nett ,freundlich und aufmerksam. Das Essen kam schnell, war von der Menge her ausreichend. Geschmacklich hätte ich mir den Fisch noch etwas besser gewünscht. Die Schnitzel waren besser. Preislich im oberen Bereich angesiedelt. Leider sind nur wenige Plätze draußen zur Verfügung. Wir saßen drinnen das war nicht ganz so schön, aber okay.

Preis Leistung geht gar nicht ,holsteiner Schnitzel das war aus der Fritteuse eine Mini gurke drauf Bratkartoffeln fettig um 17 bestellt um 17.10 alles am Tisch kein 2 mal .Da kann ich in eine pommes Bude gehen da ist es preiswerter .

Sehr freundliche Bedienung! Pfeffersteak sehr schön angerichtet, Pommesschale und Beilagensalat (groß) in extra Schalen. Pfeffersteak Medium genau auf dem Punkt, Sauce sehr schmackhaft! Somit Restaurant und Essen gerne zu empfehlen!!!

Unser Urlaub in Grömitz startet mit einem Abendessen in der Friesenstube. Wir kommen sehr gern dorthin weil man immer mit gutem Essen und sehr freundlichem Personal empfangen wird. Man fühlt sich sehr wohl. Das Essen ist immer lecker egal ob man Fleisch oder Fisch Liebhaber ist. Ein Daumen hoch für Euch
