Even though it was so crowded today, I received my food in under 15 minutes. So I don't need to say that it was very fast for my meal, my wife's, and my son's. Not only was the service perfect, but the food was also top-notch, as expected! In my opinion, this restaurant deserves a higher ranking. After such excellent service, we will definitely be back.

We were staying at the Dorint and Frenk's was open even at midnight when we arrived. The food was excellent and reasonably priced. It was very popular so make a reservation if there are more than 2 in your party.

I ate there with my sons on Saturday evening. From the outside, it was obvious from the advertisement, but the fact that there was also an ice cream parlor inside made it very confusing. We got a table fairly quickly, but it took forever to be served. Others who arrived after us were served before us. The food came quickly and was delicious. The atmosphere was also very good. A DJ entertained the entire restaurant with good music all evening (we learned from the waiter that this wasn't like that every day, but only because it was Oktoberfest time). We ordered two identical dishes, which were prepared and served differently.

I recently went back to Frenk's with a huge appetite for their famous pasta. This time I treated myself to the special truffle dish – a real highlight! The waiter came with a cart of cheese and prepared the pasta right in front of us. It not only looked fantastic, but also tasted incredibly good. The service at Frenk's is simply unbeatable: very attentive, friendly, and professional – I'd also like to highlight the owner, who always gives me a warm welcome. I always feel very comfortable at Frenk's – it's rightfully one of the best-known and most popular restaurants in Mannheim. Highly recommended!

A very warm, friendly welcome accompanied us from the very beginning of the evening. It was our first time here and we felt very comfortable and enjoyed the food every time. From the starter to the main course and the sweet finale, the food and service deserve 5 stars.

New look, same old greed - just like over a year ago. PIZZA: Change makes you poor. Today, I asked for a change to the side dishes at the top-notch pizza place. The fried egg was removed - but the salami cost an extra €3. Just adding salami would cost €4. So, a pizza with 5 toppings would cost €20 - €20 without the dough, without being there, without the food at the table with cutlery, etc. - a whopping €20. How much more does all that cost? And it's not even Michelin-star quality - or at least upscale quality. Don't get me wrong, the quality is OK, but a rip-off is not. A shame - an old, established company that hasn't learned anything. For the same reason, I haven't been here for two years, and I won't be here for the next two. There are too many places.... Regards, Frank

We were here for lunch. The food was delicious and highly recommended, so we'd be happy to come back! The relatively loud music was a bit distracting, though. Perhaps it was due to the table setting, and there are quieter corners. 😊

I was just about to order food online, but at first it wasn't possible, so I called and they said it would be possible shortly. After 10 minutes, I called again, but no one answered the phone, even after several attempts. The call was apparently dropped. I've never had any problems, but today's was completely unnecessary.

The food was very good, but the service was unfortunately terrible... Update: August 10, 2025 I "only" had to pay €25.50 to the dark-haired employee for 5 scoops of ice cream and 1 iced coffee... Because I didn't want to argue in front of my three daughters, I paid and left... Unfortunately, the iced coffee didn't taste good, just like old, stale filter coffee with two scoops of ice cream...

We were staying at the hotel which had a piece of paper that recommended this restaurant we were debating about which one to go to, but I read the reviews nothing recent and decided to go. The pasta with mushrooms was delicious. I had the pizza which I thought was very good and a glass of wine the waitress Jody was very pleasant helpful and could speech English. Well I was happy to have her as my server definitely if you’re in the area I would pop in and try some of the food. They also have ice cream, but I was too full to eat the gelato. just wanted to mention that they say they take credit cards but when you get there, they do not take credit cards that never really works for me. That’s unfortunate because people that travel would spend more money with credit cards than if they had to have cash since we don’t travel with cash so be aware even though it says credit cards if you’re from out of Germany, they will not take your credit card

Today was my second visit. I thought, let's give them another chance. We had three dishes: the ice cream sundae with fruit for over €10, a scoop of ice cream, and 10 kg of whipped cream. The pizza tasted like nothing! And the salad? I wouldn't even serve it to animals. I don't know why the place is packed, but it has nothing to do with taste. Probably because it's the only one open in all of Mannheim. A shame for the money.

I used Google Maps to find a restaurant that had reasonably good reviews and was open. We went there spontaneously and were seated immediately. Since we were very hungry and thirsty, we quickly placed our orders. We opted for an antipasti, water, a glass of wine, and a non-alcoholic beer. When I asked if the antipasti included artichokes, I was told he would check with the kitchen (which never happened). I also ordered cannelloni for myself. Initially, we received size S Christmas plates in June. Then we received our wine and warm beer. When the "antipasti" arrived, we were so shocked that I still can't believe it was true. We only got the water after asking again. We sat there for two hours, and when I asked for the bill, I was asked if I still wanted my cannelloni. All I wanted to do was leave. The leftovers from the kitchen were collected and placed on our table. There was a green salad with thrown-on vegetables, a weird sauce, and leftover boiled eggs. Simply disgusting! NEVER AGAIN! A disaster in terms of service and food.

Very friendly reception. Ate from the lunch menu. So these portions are not lunch menu portions. And delicious too. Also the greeting from the kitchen. Very tasty sesame buns and spicy olive oil. From the outside you can't tell what's inside. Everything's fine. 👋☺️👍

At Frenk's you will always be greeted in a friendly manner with a smile. Although there is always something to see on the outside, be sure to check out the interior. The pasta with salmon was very good, I would say 8 out of 10. But my pasta level is extremely high. Pizza is also highly recommended here. All in all, everything is right at Frenk's: the service, the food and also the price.

An inconspicuous restaurant from the outside but a wonderful atmosphere from the inside. We were there for lunch and expected a smaller lunch portion but it was a very large portion. The taste was simply amazing. I “only” had rigatoni with vegetables and a light sauce but it was simply delicious. The service was really great and very friendly. We even got dessert on the house and it was simply delicious. We'll definitely be back ❤️🇮🇹

We ate at Frenks on January 3rd, 2025. Before going to a concert. The ambience in the front area is reminiscent of a fast food restaurant. I ordered two starters and spaghetti carbonara. My wife ordered lamb. Drinks include non-alcoholic wheat and a lilee wildberry. When the bread was served (with the tomato soup), a bowl of garlic sauce was left aside and forgotten by us. At some point I had them picked up. Then came the tomato soup and my salad. I ate everything. My wife was allowed to watch you the whole time and didn't get her meal. After about 10 minutes (a total of 40 minutes from the time I ordered) I asked when the main course would come. 1 minute later it was on the table. The side salad with the meat was forgotten. We still had to pay in full... because we got an espresso as compensation. Conclusion: Main course was kept warm and was not complete. Spaghetti Carbonara works better too Wildberry was totally stale Always different service My wife had to endure hunger and then eat under time pressure Never again Frenks!

Delicious food, great service and reasonable prices. We tried salads, pizza and pasta. Everything tasted great. The portion size is also generous.

Hospitable owner and a very varied selection of Italian dishes. The desserts are also very tasty. Good opening times, you can eat there at any time. The location near the city center and the water tower is also perfect.

Frenk's is inconspicuous from the outside but a lovely little Italian restaurant from the inside. We were there for the first time and were very satisfied. The service staff were very friendly and our order was taken quickly. The food came quickly and I have to say I have rarely eaten better pizza than I did here. Nice thin dough with a great taste and topped just right. The second dish was gnocchi with salmon which also tasted great. The various desserts and ice cream are also highly recommended. The price-performance ratio is top. We were there around 4 p.m. and it was still relatively empty, but the place filled up relatively quickly, so I think a reservation is recommended. As usual in Mannheim, there are enough parking spaces available in the surrounding parking garages. We were completely satisfied and will visit Frenk's again.

The food was actually very good, but there is no indication anywhere as to which types of meat were used. Also, the delivery wasn't marked as delivered, which is a bit annoying. I would like to see a more detailed description of the ingredients as some people cannot tolerate certain types of meat or cannot eat them for various reasons.

Never again ! Our food was cleared away without asking and the waiter himself put the cutlery, which wasn't used, on the plate on the grounds that we had finished eating. I paid the full price, there was no tip for the rude waiter and there will be no recommendation.

Frenk's is bigger than you think from the street. It's pleasantly quiet at the back of the restaurant and the food and service were impressive. Price performance is okay, and we were able to spend a pleasant lunch break there. Thank you for your service in the kitchen and service.

Happiness means sitting at Frenk's at night, eating a double portion of the most delicious tiramisu in Germany and drinking a glass of fruity-sweet, sparkling Moscato d'Asti! La Dolce Vita e Dolci d'Oro Sul Reno! From the three bears in red sweaters, black hoodies and big red beards, with lots of love! A good deal, Merry Christmas and many more visits in 2025! 🐻🐺🐻
