Good restaurant with typical German food... The service is good but it was quite good... But while we were eating we saw a mouse passing by the tables 😩

Nice setting and atmosphere, good service. I was looking for German food and found it. Simple, satisfying and tasty. For beer, I recommend Lowenbrau Dunkel. The unfiltered Franziskaner did not come in - unlike Dunkel, I drank unfiltered beer of better quality in Russia.

We had a very good meal there on January 4, 2025. The hospitality was truly original. Really great. The pork knuckles were great!!! Also the vegan food and that Roast roasts were really good! Always my pleasure

We came to eat turkey 30€ anyway, dry reheated meat we made the remark to the waiter it's not even apologizing or didn't even ask what was wrong he was certainly aware, when I go to the restaurant this is not for reheating otherwise I can stay at home

Everything is miserable. Starting from ordering to payment. We sat at the (reserved) table with 12 people + children and ordered together. When the children ordered, the waiter looked at me, rolled his eyes and simply said "exhausting". The last ones to order got their food first and were almost finished when those who ordered first got their food. When my husband brought it up between the two "loads" he was told it was difficult (it was by no means full - Sunday, 1 p.m.). One meal was even forgotten and had to be ordered from scratch. He said it wasn't his fault. He kept coming back and insisting that it wasn't his fault, even showing his "scrawl" on the pad, which couldn't be deciphered. I said it didn't matter as long as the person would get their food now. Strangely enough, the completely new food we ordered was delivered very quickly. My food was incredibly dry, therefore hard, tasted like it had been warmed up from the day before (goose breast) and was very salty (red cabbage). My seatmate's food was tough (hock plate). When clearing away, a person who really only had one "Habit" left on the fork on his plate was asked if he should pack it up (obviously just so that he could also clear the plate). When paying, my husband was asked by the waiter if he could add a tip to the bill, which - in our opinion - was an impertinence. My husband said no because of this and also because of the aforementioned. When my husband wanted to pay for everything with cash, the waiter didn't want to accept the cash and told my husband that he wasn't trustworthy. My husband then paid by card and just wanted to leave the premises and go. In the end we discovered one meal too many on the bill and two different wines, which neither of us ate/drank. Under no circumstances will we visit this location again and we will not recommend it.

Typical Bavarian cuisine in the middle of Hamburg. Service has a lot of humor and mixes North German charm with Bavarian attitude. The ambience has a classic brewery character. Attention: Anyone who expects things to be dignified and quiet here is wrong.

It was supposed to be a leisurely Saturday evening - and the service was also leisurely. Half full shop - having to wait 10 minutes for the cards, having to wait an impressive 25 minutes for 3 measurements. When we got the bill it was acknowledged with the words: "No tip included" - which in itself is bold, on top of that the "service".

We are there for a Christmas party. The food was pre-ordered. We ordered the snack platter. We waited over an hour for the food and then there were 4 slices of bread and two pretzels for each table of 6. It was then submitted later but that also took time. The food was OK, but for €39/person I would have expected more.

Super nice, we sat downstairs, had a super friendly lady as service. On her advice, I was allowed to try the beer briefly. She was really service oriented, the food was really tasty and it just fit. It's rare to have something like that these days; there were real professionals here. The price-performance ratio is absolutely fine. Everyone eats really well and we always heard in the background that the schnitzels were freshly made. The bunnies are huge and a dream. We have immediately made a new reservation for next month. Thank you for this lovely evening

We were in this very nice restaurant for 2 evenings. I only had one snack for the evening (veal sausages with pretzels), so I can't actually rate the food 100%. We had a great time. And then there was the staff. Simply top and cannot be beaten. The two men behind the counter are worth their weight in gold. The rest of the staff always helpful, always courteous. The Franziskaner restaurant is always worth a visit. Also 1 or 2 🌟 more.

Jeg synes der mangler flere af disse autentiske og stemningsfyldte steder. Jeg føler mig velkommen af det venlige personale, som giver sig tid til gæsterne. Stedet interiør, indretning og tema giver en ægte stemning af varm, hyggelig alpehytte. Maden er skøn og velsmagende. Jeg kan lide det klassiske og traditionelle mad. Det er mit stamsted, når jeg er i Hamborg.

Basic German meals, you will not stay hungry.

Rustic atmosphere with a large selection of beers. Nevertheless, the dumpling on the inside of my knuckle was still frozen and the meat was tough. Overall, very tasty seasoning. The Kaiserschmarrn, on the other hand, was very good.

The place is nice and the food was good but the service left a lot to be desired. We arrived with a reservation and a tall, young waiter treated us quite carelessly. When we finished the dishes we asked him about the desserts and he, laughing, looked at the clock and said "hello." If it was late and the kitchen had already closed, it was enough to say it politely. Regrettable.

The ambience is Alpine and so is the choice of food. Otherwise everything is average and OK. You can do it - but you don't have to.

There was nothing wrong with the food. The portions are large and the value for money is still okay. The ambience is Bavarian, rustic and cozy. Lots of wood, tiled stove and harmonious decoration. However, the service was and is probably a disaster. (Perhaps it is different at other times of the day or week) We were allowed to choose a table, but then had to wait around 20 minutes before we could place an order... "I'll take it now, even though it's not my table..." Later, when it comes to payment, a similar dilemma arises. In general, the older service person (f) who was responsible for our table made a somewhat disorganized and listless impression. The overall impression of the service also did not represent a particularly good team spirit. “Colleague is coming soon” It really shouldn't exist anymore these days.

Hello, I was there on Friday September 6th. The food was fabulous, 1 A with stars. The service, on the other hand, was catastrophic. When the waiter asked us for the bill immediately after we had finished eating, we actually wanted to complain about the service, but then he started talking about: "It's customary to tip "Of course we gave him the 10% tip. We're not rascals, but we certainly won't come back again.

All the dishes are very delicious and worth recommending to friends to come and dine here! The beers here 🍻 are all so delicious that you can order one cup after another without stopping! We are designated as service staff who are enthusiastic in serving, friendly in attitude, and make people feel at home! Come and give it a try! If you don’t know what dish to choose, just follow our order! ^_^

Very good food and very good service

Located in the center of Hamburg, a warm, typical German place. Very good cuisine... the crispy knee is excellent, one of the best I have ever tried.

The ambience and drinks were fine. However, the service was a disaster. From the start he showed no distance at all. He called us directly and came across as a know-it-all, made inappropriate jokes and really wanted to seem funny. He spoke to me directly about my teeth and simply and cheekily stated that I had done teeth. When I asked for the bill and simply wanted to round up the amount (we only had a beer and apple spritzer at 4:30 p.m.!), he refused because it wouldn't be enough of a tip. He also asked me dozens of times if I was Italian! Simply discriminatory outrage! Never again!

The food is substandard. The salad comes from a mix that you also buy in the supermarket. I have never eaten such a bad salad in Germany. The potatoes are also not cut themselves. They are all industrially purchased goods. The schnitzel was not fully cooked and not cooked correctly. The beer was tasty. Basically the whole thing is a tourist trap.

There were 28 people in the restaurant today. The food took an incredibly long time to be served. But we couldn't complain about the taste. However, the prices were quite expensive in relation to the quantity, as were the drinks prices. What was to be criticized, however, was the Kaiserschmarrn, which was from all of us No one was there. More of an indefinable cake with almonds on top. So: Not recommended!

Bavaria in Hamburg, everything in style. Spatenbräu light on tap, there's also a measure. Weisswursts great. Menu almost really Bavarian 🍻 Nice restaurant, cozy, all wood. Nice service, prices ok.

I highly recommend this place. Why? As soon as we sat down, the waiter brought us the menus in German and we rightly asked him for the menus in English because one of the ones we had was and so that the others could also be able to understand what they wanted to order. In a very unpleasant and rude manner the waiter told us to translate the menu for us with the translator. In the end we decided not to stay after being treated so badly and at that point as we were leaving he insulted us and yelled at us. Really rude. They don't deserve more than one star.

Du får exakt vad som förväntas. Vi äter varsin kalvschnitzel. Ok service. Schnitzeln är mycket bra, väl bankad och bra tillagad. Stekt potatis i överflöd. Är ni ett par som ska äta, ta varsin förrätt, och dela sedan på schnitzeln, om det är det ni ska äta.

Beer was very good, tip was probably too little and was thrown back on the table by the waiter in disappointment.

We ate good typical Bavarian dishes, for those who must eat gluten-free only a plate of roast ham with sauerkraut and quite good mashed potatoes. There is no gluten-free beer. A little too touristy atmosphere. The final surprise was the bill for the very high price of water! We hadn't found it on the menu and €7.40 for 0.75l is really too much!

Unfortunately, INCREDIBLE unfriendly service, we were barked at before we even ordered. If we thought of simply sitting at a free table, we would be seated here. It just wasn't written anywhere, there was no sign saying "Please wait...", no desk that would have pointed it out... What a shame! We felt super uncomfortable and left straight away.

The Schnitzer is an absolute recommendation! The fries are a bit bland. Spätzle or something similar would be better.

Absolutely fantastic Bayerische experience. The schnitzel is simply outstanding. Started with the weisswurst coupled with a pretzel and a Lowenbrau. Everything was great!!!

My mom and I spontaneously went there for lunch in January. Lunch was actually already over, but we were still allowed to order. These were the best cheese spaetzle I have ever eaten! The service is great, the atmosphere is great, the food is great! We were thrilled! My mom went there again yesterday with her boyfriend and had something to eat, again the service was top notch and the food anyway! A very big compliment to the great service! Always happy!🥰

We were there with a group of 15. The waitress were inpatient and rood to our guests. One of them installed one of our guest because he did not like her request. I never experienced such bad attitude and service in a restaurant across Europe. Shame. It doesn’t matter how the food is when the see is so bad. To avoid!

We always came to this restaurant because of the excellent food and service. But something has changed in this place. We looked after the menu ourselves and waited outside for a long time for the waiter. I decided to go in and get someone. After waiting 10 minutes I asked a woman to take our order. She replied rudely, "Order outside." After waiting at the table outside for a while, we decided to leave. Terrible service.

Food was ok. One tall with black beard guy that served our table was very official and "dry"... We didn't like it.. Any explanation about food, we had to google it to understand what is waiting for us.

It was our first time eating there and we were really impressed by the atmosphere. A beautiful old Bavarian alpine pasture awaited us. The service staff is very accommodating and it's easy to talk to them. Food was also very good. Unfortunately, we discovered that the soups were not even at “drinking temperature”. Unfortunately, the two soups were simply cold, which was a shame. The main course was really good and really hot! In terms of price-performance ratio it was really good

This is typical :-) Bavarian restaurant in Hamburg. Very tasty food, incredible beer and good atmosphere. Prices - normal for Hamburg city center. Parking is a problem, better come on foot. I recommend it. Consider booking a table up-front.
