Very cozy and charming restaurant. The food we ordered was really very good and the beer was also delicious

Unfortunately it smelled like something!!!

Were served by a very nice hamburger. He was relaxed and did a casual saying on it when operating it. Thanks Saw him late in the evening when he got off work. He really deserves it.

Has nothing to do with a Bavarian tavern. Roast pork inedible. Dumplings the size of an egg, I couldn't place the crust, it tasted more like it was for a dog and from a food bowl. Service was very nice and quick. If you want Bavarian food, don't eat it in Hamburg, it doesn't taste good and has nothing to do with the original!

The food is ok, as a restaurant that represents the south of Germany, I expect a better menu, a meal that feels like in the south of Germany, unfortunately it was not what I expected, but, okay, the super friendly staff, thank you

I'm in this restaurant right now! This is by far the worst meatloaf I've ever eaten! Worse fatty taste like fried😡 Homemade mashed potatoes, none! Bavarian food is really different!

We had already made a reservation in September for a table in December. This in connection with a performance in the Laeiszhalle. We have always received very polite and friendly service. The menu has enough choice for vegetarians: the potato dumpling with mushroom sauce was very tasty. My parents and husband had eaten several schnitzels that also tasted very good. The poties are certainly big enough. I shared the dessert "dessert plank" with my husband: enough for 2 people. Here too we could simply get 2 plates and extra cutlery. My father had an apple strudel for dessert and my mother had vanilla ice cream with warm raspberries. All in all, very tasty food, friendly service and highly recommended. We were ready well in time for the performance.

I showed up at 9:30 in the evening, it was Monday, so schnitzel day. Just the thing for my need for good meat. A friendly waitress greeted me straight away and assigned me a seat. She helped me choose what was included in the schnitzel day. I treated myself to the Paulaner Schnitzel with 200g schnitzel, fried potatoes and 2 fried eggs. The meal was after 7 minutes. There, I guess there wasn't much to do at the moment because I was basically the only one in the restaurant with the plate. What can I say the food was extremely delicious. It was so good that when I thought about taking a photo, I had already eaten the food. That's why I'm writing the review now. I can only recommend the food and the location. The service is very friendly and I liked the service. Totally worth a recommendation.

Paulaner in Hamburg is a must-see for anyone who loves Bavarian cuisine and wants an authentic experience without having to travel to Munich. Great food, great beer and a unique atmosphere make this restaurant one of the best choices in town for a special evening.

There were two of us in the Paulaner. The food and drinks came promptly and tasted great.

watery ready-made potato dumplings with cream mushrooms. The mushrooms may have been fresh, as the waitress assured us, but once they were prepared they no longer tasted like anything. The cream sauce had a slimy, tasteless consistency and wasn't even remotely reminiscent of cream. - Horrible, went back almost untouched, I'm sorry to say. 0 stars for the food. Ambiance: pop music way too loud. The drinks waiter was very friendly - at least.

We ordered, that's recommended. The food was very tasty. The staff really friendly. It was full, so very loud. But things calmed down again. It was a nice evening.

Very nice service 👍 The knuckle was okay, the chicken was delicious, the fries were great and so was the appetizer platter.

The food used to be better there or my expectations were lower. Today you can get a tiny molded schnitzel with lumpy convenience sauce for over €17. The manageable portion of fried potatoes was at least good and the service was really nice and attentive. According to my wife, the women's toilet was unfortunately dirty.

Goods in general, it seems the taste to be more salty in Germany

We had dinner with 10 friends. The food was delicious and fresh. The service was super friendly. A very nice night out.

We went there spontaneously to eat and took advantage of knuckle day on a Tuesday and the sausage salad as our second order. Unfortunately, it was not possible to exchange the dumpling for the knuckle without an extra charge, not even for a few fries. The knuckle was fine, the dumpling was the smallest I've ever seen. It definitely didn't exceed the size of a table tennis ball. The sausage salad for 12.50 was almost tasteless and therefore a total failure. The prices for the large Pils (0.5 l) at 6.50 were also slightly higher and just acceptable for the area. Overall, unfortunately no food recommendation, but a nice atmosphere for a drink.

Paulaner brand tavern where they serve good beer and the food is delicious. Perhaps the prices are a little expensive for what we ate and its taste, but overall good.

The individual stars hardly exist, but: I find it irresponsible that the left-hand faucet on the sink in the women's toilet has been running CONTINUOUSLY for about 6 months - and "full pipe". Incredible. Incomprehensible. The owner is responsible! Unfortunately I can't support that. To eat: The portions are sufficiently filling. The meat loaf was a bit very salty. The farmer's breakfast was a bit "boring". The Swiss sausage salad was good, but the size of the pieces (especially the onions) made it difficult to eat without constantly using the napkin. The service was friendly. Of course, you wouldn't expect Bavarian here. From 7:30 p.m. the dining room began to fill up noticeably.

Lovely place very good traditional food. Have the big pint, it's fun! Oh, and yes, have the pork knuckle... wow, that crispy skin. We loved it. The people next to us came two days straight. Even if you are going for a beer, you can get a pretzel or just a side plate of sausages. 😋

We have been there many times and have always been satisfied until today. The food didn't taste like anything and was very dry. All three of us had a different dish and they all tasted bland. We are used to different things. Too bad.

We actually wanted northern German cuisine in Hamburg. Since we couldn't find a suitable restaurant nearby, we ended up here. What luck.. Food was great, value for money too👍. The atmosphere outside is so nice and cozy and the service is so nice. A summer evening can be better cannot be finished on a city tour.

After a bit of a wait, we took a seat ourselves; there were quite a few tables available. At some point the waiter came, no look, no greeting, just a "go to the wall, there's a two seater" - the table here is for groups. Of the 4-person tables, 7 were still free; business was already slowing down. We then went to another store where we were warmly welcomed and not regimented.

Often there, sometimes good, sometimes bad. The waiter was too bold today and wanted to play off the number “unfortunately no change”. I also got rude when I didn't want to tip so much. I think 10% plus rounded up is appropriate. In addition, the plate was cleared while I was still chewing. The side salad is really very good, chicken a bit too dry today. But the quality of the food is usually appropriate for the ambience of the inn, it always fluctuates a little around 3 to 4 stars (in relation to the price and ambience). Beer is freshly tapped, as you would expect with the concept.

Bayern ist in Hamburg mit diesem Restaurant gut vertreten. Das Dekor passt gut ins nüchterne Hamburg, die Speisekarte ist vielseitig und bietet Bayrische Spezialitäten. Das Preis-Leistungsverhältnis stimmt absolut. Das Essen war sehr gut und die Bedienung anlässlich unserer beiden Besuchen ausgesprochen freundlich und aufmerksam. Es kommt selten vor, dass ich mich in eine Küche begebe, um den Koch zu loben. Hier habe ich es gern gemacht. Empfehlenswert.

Väldigt trevligt typiskt tyskt hak. God Schnitzel med svampsås, god Paulaner Schnitzel och helt okej halv kyckling. Trevligt hak där vi dök upp 10 min innan köket stängde och personalen var trevliga och hjälpte gärna. Skulle rekommendera ifall man är sugen på schnitzel!

Only two waiters who are responsible for the whole store. Waiter incredibly unfriendly. Loudly expressed his dissatisfaction with the staffing! Maybe management should think about increasing staff. In any case, we moved on after the performance….

We were there spontaneously at around 12 for lunch. The only thing Bavarian was the decor and inevitably the beer. Waiter extremely demotivated, always with his hands in his face. From the perspective of a southern German, the food is below average, more like a cheap village pub. Allgäu cheese spaetzle without mountain cheese. Tavern platter with dry cheese (no, it doesn't dry out so quickly at the table). I preferred to stay away from the press bag. The bread and beer were good. All the best to you if the concept works for northern Germans! The southern Germans should keep their hands off it. Disappointment across the board.

Waiter demanded us to pay tips for horrible job. We wanted to drink more beer but waiter never came to our table, we decided to leave place and drink somewhere else. I had to go myself inside the bar to pay for the bill. Owner needs to train people how to serve people or tell them dont ask for tips if they dont deserve. We have no issues to pay tips but only when waiter deserved it!!!

We were on vacation in Hamburg and we come from beautiful Bavaria and I thought to myself, "Oh come on, I wanted to take a look and try it out and go eat in a "self-proclaimed" Bavarian restaurant. All I can say is my Bavarian heart We once ordered a Paulaner pan and the crusty roast. The sauce was lumpy, where the crust on the roast is actually nice and dark (in Bavaria), there was a small piece of crust in the sauerkraut The so-called beer sauce was just a dark, tasteless sauce. And the "cute" potato dumplings were a joke. My husband was also completely dissatisfied with his food, he said he didn't see any spices The beer tasted good and the staff was friendly. Unfortunately, I can't recommend it as I prefer my REAL Bavarian cuisine.

Brewhouse steak: Meat and onion mushrooms were good, but the fried potatoes were swimming in fat. The onion and bacon in the fried potatoes were burnt. I suspect the fried potatoes were reheated. Borderline for my taste. But the service was good. The schnitzel was OK, but nothing more. Same problem with the fried potatoes.

The staff was very nice and friendly. I wasn't that enthusiastic about eating it, everything was very greasy, the schnitzel gave the impression that it came from the deep fryer.

Atmosphere like in Bavaria. However, food was not recommended. Significant difference in taste. Unfortunately, the waiter had communication problems, but was always polite and nice.

My wife and I have been here several times. Gluten free for my wife was no problem. The meal for both of us was delicious. Not gourmet food but real and tasty.
