I've been there a few times now and I really like it. The starter plates are highly recommended. The waiting time for the food varies slightly. This time I had the Orient Burger, which to me should have tasted even more like cinnamon.

Great atmosphere with a lot of attention to detail! The food was also very good. Fresh, tasty and lovingly prepared.

For some reason, my review, which I wrote years ago and updated a few months ago, was suddenly removed. That's why I'm posting it again in the exact wording and would like to know which guidelines I'm allegedly violating by doing so: Very elegant and tasteful interior design. The staff including the owner is very friendly and helpful. Now about the food: I had the starter plates and unfortunately I have to say I was disappointed. There only seem to be ten (nine?) different ones and they don't even come close to the taste of the caravan. I really expected more. But I will give the Fago another chance and try it with a main course next time. Update: I've been there two more times in the meantime, once I had a main course that was ok, but really nothing more. The quality of the starter plates has not improved, most of them are just tasteless, and the price/performance ratio is not right at all. Seven falafels about one centimeter high (more crust than inside) with a little hummus and some tabbouleh - which tasted practically like nothing - for a whopping 15.00 euros, that's not possible. Conclusion: Tasteless food at exorbitant prices - I definitely won't see this restaurant again.

Very harmonious atmosphere. I liked the large selection of vegan dishes. Everything tasted very good. We'll definitely be back.

The simple ambience immediately appealed to me. Very friendly staff. The owner is very accommodating. Delicious cocktails. Small but fine menu, something for everyone. The dishes are tasty and attractively presented. The lamb shank is exquisite, the meat cooked to perfection. The grill plate with 3 different types of meat and the oriental potatoes and matching vegetable bed plus 2 delicious dips is great. I would like to thank the Fago Restaurant for 2 exceptional evenings in a relaxed atmosphere and will come back. On March 30, 2024 my girlfriend and I were back in the Fago. It was an experience again. We ordered fish and a vegetarian wrap and enjoyed excellent cocktails. Unfortunately we learned that Fago would have to close before summer. We are very upset and sad to lose one of our favorite restaurants. We wish the friendly hosts and of course the employees all the best. ❤️

The shop was empty, but we still had to wait over an hour for the food. We thought we would definitely like it, as there were no guests in the restaurant, but we were very disappointed, the meat was not cooked through, and the vegetables were most likely dipped in oil. Bread didn't taste like anything and wasn't fresh. Wouldn't go there again and wouldn't recommend anyone to eat there. We still had to pay the full price there and unfortunately the waitress couldn't handle criticism. After the main course came, we got up in 3 minutes, paid and had to leave the restaurant hungry and in Ramadan time that's a real shame.

Food was ok...I didn't think the price/performance was ok. Too expensive for too little on the plate. Arabic starters...BUT...may only be ordered in conjunction with an expensive main course. Quality was ok...but I've eaten better Arabic food.

It’s my first time there and I was really impressed. The food is very delicious, atmosphere is beautiful, soft music… One word: recommend!!!

Visually very nice restaurant, however the main courses were far too small for vegetarians (just enough for meat eaters) but the taste was very good. They also didn't ask if you would like something else to drink. What really disappointed me were the cocktails, where clearly they were I saved on alcohol and stocked up on water, but the prices were quite hefty. I wouldn't visit again and wouldn't recommend it

We were here again today after a while. The ambience is very nice, the food is also delicious with a few minor drawbacks. Unfortunately the service was really, really slow. This clouds the overall picture. A pity. We probably won't come back.

NEVER AGAIN!! We ate here today and unfortunately we didn't have a good experience. First we had to wait 2 hours for the food (we were warned that it would take a little longer but 2 hours is clearly too much). The food wasn't bad, but way too small. None of the 4 of us were even remotely full! But the worst came at the end. We had a voucher (approx. €25 savings on €95) which was refused because the invoice had already been created and, according to the boss, there was no way to cancel and correct the invoice in the cash register. The boss was super unfriendly and sometimes very rude in his choice of words. No accomodation to the customer even though we had a valid voucher for the restaurant! In the end they just threatened to call the police if we didn't pay the bill in full. Very unpleasant situation for us as customers.

Very long waiting time, small portions with little meat and bland lukewarm food. But the atmosphere was nice and actually has potential. But in the end it doesn't help if everything else isn't right. The 4.3 stars seem strange to me since some people had the same problems. Is that true?

The ambience, the service and the food were fantastic - absolute recommendation, we would like to come back. :)

Rice oversalted and mushy, vegetables not oversalted but also overcooked

This was my second time here and I had the same experience as the first time. Once you get your food, it's tasty but not exceptional. However, you have to wait a long time until then. After ordering, we waited 1 1/2 hours for our main course. If we had been informed that it was taking a long time, we would have ordered more starters. So we were simply ignored for 1 1/2 hours. They didn't even ask if they wanted drinks. Things were no different at other tables. Unfortunately, the portions were a bit small considering how hungry we were after the long wait. It's a shame, because the concept and ambience are actually very appealing.

The previous restaurant at the same location was also a Moroccan restaurant ( la caravane), it had a different atmosphere with more choice on the menu, I had a tagine like last time not bad except very little meat for the price. Unfortunately, the tagine in the caravan was better.

Friendly service, very tasty food, suitable and cozy atmosphere. We recommend! Perfect if you have vegans with you.

Wir waren auf der Durchreise in diesem Restaurant zu Gast. Wir waren spät dran, die letzten Gäste und wurden vorzüglich bedient und behandelt. Das Essen war köstlich, wir waren hier nicht das letzte Mal zu Gast. Vielen Dank!

Vorspeisen waren gut, allerdings ärgerlich dass es nur 10 Dips gibt. Mehr Variationen wären wünschenswert. Die Lammhaxe war gut, aber leicht zäh. Der Reis war leider viel zu trocken. Leider haben wir nur 0,2l Cola erhalten statt wie ausgewiesen 0,33 (wurde auch berechnet)

Nur zu empfehlen. Wir waren gerade das erste mal dort, super schön eingerichtet, der Service war super nett und freundlich. Das Essen war von der Vorspeise bis zum Dessert super lecker und etwas ganz besonderes. Wir kommen auf jeden Fall wieder und können es jedem empfehlen.

Wir hatten mit der Familie heute einen sehr schönen Abend. Zum ersten mal dort haben wir die Vorspeisenplatte (10 kleine dips mit Brot) und verschiedene Hauptgerichte probiert. Alles war sehr gut, insbesondere das Lammfleisch. Die kleine Weinkarte bot auch gute Weine für jeden Geschmack. Preis/Leistung insgesamt eine knappe eins!

Phantastisches Essen ala carte und auch als Buffet Alternative für Feierlichkeiten sehr zu empfehlen.

Ich bin hier so nett bedient worden, mit richtig leckeren Speisen und einer spitzen Limo. Lohberg ist ein schöner Ort, an dem mit tollen Ideen und viel Engagement gearbeitet wird. Eine der tollen Ideen geht von den Besitzeen des Fago aus. Ein echter Zugewinn und absolut empfehlenswert. Viel Spaß dort.

Zum ersten Mal in diesem Restaurant gewesen, aber sicherlich nicht das letzte mal. Gutes Preis/Leistungsverhältnis, sehr nette und kompetente Bedienung. Eine gute Auswahl an Spezialitäten der verschiedenen Länder, sehr schmackhaft zubereitet. Wir haben gemütlich im Innenhof gesessen, ruhig und entspannend. Wir haben den Aufenthalt sehr genossen.

Heerlijk met het hele gezin gegeten in een mooie ambiance. Er is ruim voldoende aanbod aan vegan gerechten. Heel vriendelijk personeel en uitstekende prijs-kwaliteitverhouding.

Heerlijk gegeten bij Fago in Dinslaken. De ambiance is warm en sfeervol. We hadden tien vegan hapjes als voorgerecht en een heerlijk vegan hoofdgerecht. De bediening was attent en vriendelijk. Aanrader!

Sehr schönes Restaurant, geschmackvoll eingerichtete, sehr netter Service. Die Getränkepreise fand ich etwas hoch. Das Essen war auch toll, für mich hätte es noch etwas mehr gewürzt werden können. Einfach nur toll. Das Essen mit vielen Gewürzen aus dem Orient wirklich super aufeinander abgestimmt. Die Bedienung und Empfehlung des Essen sehr nett und geduldig ;) Endlich mal ein Restaurant das eine tolle Ambiente mit guten Essen und ein Ort wo man sich unterhalten kann und entspannt. Der Nachtisch und die Vorspeisen sind genauso mega wie das Hauptgericht und das für ein Preis Leistungsverhältnis das wirklich bezahlbar ist. Danke 🤩

3x 5 Sterne, es gibt absolut NICHTS zu kritisieren. Wir waren mit einer Gruppe vor Ort und haben die Vorspeisenschüsselchen sowie verschiedene Hauptgerichte genossen😊...jederzeit wieder! Vielen Dank für einen schönen Abend!

Die positive Bewertung geht an die freundliche und hilfreiche Bedienung, wir wurden nett empfangen und gut beraten. Das Essen war lecker, für die orientalische Küche aber teilweise etwas laff, ich bin von anderen Küchen wesentlich mehr Kräuter und Gewürze gewohnt. Vielleicht kann der Koch da noch etwas nachbessern. Die Größe der Portionen ist übersichtlich, aber nicht unangemessen. Insgesamt ein netter Abend, beim nächsten Mal wünschen wir uns geschmacklich noch mehr "Wow".

Kann man machen (wenn es wirklich keine bessere Alternative gibt), muss man aber nicht. Die Vorspeisenplatte war OK, die Hauptgerichte ließen sehr zu wünschen übrig. Wir haben schon oft wesentlich besser gegessen.

Schöne Atmosphäre, tolles Farbspiel, Vorspeisenteller der ein herrlicher Gaumenorgasmus war. Interessante ausgefallene selbstgemachte Getränke. Ein richtig schönes Restaurant, super leckere orientalische Gerichte und überragender Service. Wir haben uns sehr wohlgefühlt. Die Inhaber sind sehr freundlich, lustig und charmant. Wir waren eine große Gruppe, dennoch waren die Wartezeiten zwischen den Gängen angenehm kurz und der ganze Abend war einfach überragend gut. 100%ige Empfehlung. Es werden interessante Gerichte angeboten, wie z. B Marokkanische oder Syrische. Auch die vom Vorgänger übernommen 10-Vorspeisen - teller sind sehr lecker.

Kleine Portionen und teuer. Geschmacklich auch enttäuscht 😞 . Für uns der erste und letzte Besuch in diesem Lokal.

Vorspeisen sind ok, allerdings wird Brot nur in homöopathischen Dosen gereicht. Wir müssten 3 * kostenpflichtig nachbestellen, sehr enttäuschend. Hauptgerichte sind ihr Geld nicht wert: Grillgerichte haben Imbiss- Niveau, Tagine und Couscous sind langweilig und ungewürzt, von Orient keine Spur. Fleisch ist nur in winzigen Mengen vorhanden. Der Service ist überfordert und braucht ewig um Brot nachzubringen. Im Vergleich zur früheren "Karawane" am gleichen Ort ein absolutes Desaster. Lieber 50 Meter weiter in die örtliche Dönerbude,

Wunderschöne stilvolle moderne Einrichtung, wie man es aus gehobenen Lokalen vom Düsseldorf/ Hafen kennt. 10/10 Da es heute leider nicht mehr selbstverständlich ist, erwähne ich die Hygiene. 10/10 Authentisch freundlich aufmerksamer Service. 10/10 Kleine raffinierte Speisenkarte mit ausgefallenen authentischen Gerichten, ein wahres Geschmackserlebnis für jung und alt (4Personen 86, 37, 32, 4), zu einem fairen Preisleistungsverhältnis. Alle Teller waren blitze blank. 10/10 Fazit: absolute Superlative 💯

Leckere, frische Küche die geschmacklich sehr an Urlaub und Orient erinnert. Die Vielfalt ist gut, keine überladene Speisekarte und man merkt die Liebe zum Detail. Auch das Ambiente Innen ist sehr schön modern und stilvoll. Freundlicher Service und auch die Inhaber sind sehr freundlich und nett. Steak auf den Punkt Medium, Tajine wundervoller Duft und sehr lecker, die Lammhaxe war butterweich und sehr zart- traumhaft lecker. Wir kommen gerne wieder, denn es gibt noch so viel mehr zum probieren und auch für Veganger sehr gut geeignet. Lohberg hat wieder ein wundervolles Restaurant.
