A culinary highlight in Dortmund! I had the pleasure of visiting Emilio Restaurant in Dortmund and all I can say is that it was an outstanding experience! The food was simply fantastic - every dish was carefully prepared and enriched with fresh ingredients. The flavors were perfectly balanced and pampered my taste buds. The service was equally excellent. The staff was friendly, attentive and always tried to make our stay as pleasant as possible. The atmosphere in the restaurant is inviting and cozy, which contributed to an overall successful evening. I would highly recommend Emilio Restaurant to anyone looking for a first class dining experience in Dortmund. Everything is just right here! 5 stars! 🌟🌟🌟🌟🌟

A solid Italian restaurant with authentic Italian dishes and wines on the menu. The tuna steak could have used a bit less heat, and the beef steak was actually very good, but the pepper sauce on top was unnecessary. Otherwise, you can have a pleasant and delicious evening there.

It was our first time at Emilio and we loved it! The antipasti starter was very tasty. We also really enjoyed the Primitivo Riserva. A highlight was the pasta with Parmesan truffles. The service was consistently polite, personable and attentive. We would definitely like to come back!

You don't have to write much here. Had dinner there yesterday with 9 people. From front to back, everything is great. The ingredients are fresh and superbly prepared. Service (Jan), very attentive, friendly and competent. But I would like to highlight the kitchen team again. They create really great dishes. Price/performance absolutely fine. One star less for the ambience because the acoustics get really tiring along the way.

We were here because of the many good reviews, but we can't confirm them. The food was good overall, but the main courses were of varying quality. At the end of our stay it was the service that ruined everything. About the situation: The restaurant was full and a young couple without a reservation needed a seat. We told the waiter that we would like to sit for another 5 minutes but would then be happy to give up our seat. Two minutes later the waiter comes to our table, intervenes in our table conversation with his cleaning cloth, wipes the table surface and sets new things. To a “Excuse me, couldn’t you please wait a moment?” comes a “Prego!”, but things continue to be covered anyway. An absolute disrespect. To this day I still wonder how someone can be so insensitive.

We (and many compatriots) were recently in Dortmund for a concert by Ludovico Eunadi. A search for good food yielded this restaurant. It was a fifteen minute walk from our hotel and there we found this cute restaurant. We were warmly welcomed and were happy that we had made a reservation, because at 5 p.m. they were fully booked! We chose truffle pasta and pasta with steak and thoroughly enjoyed it, including the matching wine. Dessert, tiramisu of course, was not to be missed! In short, go there, really enjoy it!

... once upon a time in Dortmund ;-) This is how stories begin. I would like to tell you a nice little one here. I visited a friend and went to the motorcycle fair in Dortmund with him. It was the weekend and carnival and so there was a lot going on in the city. I had chosen a restaurant, which was unfortunately fully booked. The friend suggested another one, the Emilio. Luckily there was still a table available. 8:30 p.m. We enter the restaurant. I think I'm not seeing correctly. A familiar face from the past from my current home island of Borkum. I see him, he sees me, we recognize each other immediately… after 15 years. It's Jan. What a coincidence!!! Without knowing he works there. How small is the world? ;-) If there had been something available at the other restaurant, the friend had suggested another restaurant, this reunion would not have happened. :-) And now to the restaurant: Wonderful ambience! Very professional and warm hosts, excellent service and excellent food. I'm already looking forward to my next visit to Dortmund and the Emilio...

We ate a beef steak in gongonzola sauce there. It was prepared to perfection.

The Helot company visited the Dortmund trade fair and visited the Emilio restaurant with a larger group. The restaurant was busy and seemed known to many people. From the time we made the reservation until we said goodbye, we were looked after very attentively and in an uncomplicated manner. The premises are well maintained. Even with a larger group we had enough space. The service is very friendly and entertaining. The food was very good and beautifully presented, from the starter to the main course to the dessert. Despite our larger group, the menu wasn't shortened - we had the full choice. Thank you for this lovely evening!

We made a reservation 2 weeks ago, the restaurant was already fully booked, so we were accommodated in the wine bar. We were received very well and the service was very attentive and courteous throughout the evening. Food and drinks are very good according to the overall impression. A really nice shop with tasteful decor and friendly staff. The food was very tasty and left nothing to be desired. There is absolutely nothing to complain about here – an all-round successful visit!

We were there with 11 people. The waiter spoke Russian and Bulgarian, which was very beneficial for our Armenian guests from Moscow. The service was very good. Some had penne pasta with beef and salmon. There were also fresh tuna and salmon with vegetables and potatoes as a side dish as well as rump steak with the same side dishes at the table. All dishes were to our utmost satisfaction. I had the dessert myself, an Armenian specialty for our guests. For a small fee of €1.50, the waiters portioned it out for us, refined it with powdered sugar and served it to us. We were all very satisfied. Highly recommended. Visit 11/2024 Reservation via telephone: great Great, personal service. Great ambience. We had the Pulpo and Tagliatelle di Manzo. The pulp was very good. The sugo with the pasta as well. The beef didn't taste that good. Wine - Sauvignon - was very good. The price of the wine is very fair at €27.50. Dessert cannoli were good. The cafe was also very good.

Sufficient number of parking spaces in front of the Emillio!! Well-arranged menu, the dishes are fresh and very tasty! The wine selection leaves nothing to be desired. The service can't be beat. Paying with a card is also lightning fast. The prices are totally justified and fair. We'll definitely come back.

I live in California and I've eaten in many Italian restaurants around the world. But this was by far my favorite. Never thought I would find such a gem in the middle of Germany. Friendly and very prompt service. Highly recommend this place!!!

Einfach nur top! Spontan nach einem BVB Spiel dahin, und absolut begeistert! Herzliche Mitarbeiter, das Essen war total lecker und absolut empfehlenswert. Tiramisu war der perfekte Abschluss und vom Chef persönlich noch herzlich verabschiedet. Der empfohlene Wein war auch perfekt zum Essen - ein rundum gelungen Abend da :)

We stayed at Emilio on a Friday for our 3rd wedding anniversary. Very spontaneously we got a table in the wine bar (unfortunately the main restaurant was already occupied). Overall, the Emilio is divided into two rooms of approximately the same size. There is a kitchen in every room, and there is open cooking in the wine bar. We received a warm and warm welcome, a delicious smell of food also greeted us. The acoustics are surprisingly pleasant: even though we were sitting quite close to the neighboring table with four other guests, we were able to have a relaxed and quiet conversation. The map is updated daily and manageable. First we ordered an antipasti platter for two people, which was extensive and, above all, very varied. The wine list leaves nothing to be desired. We then decided on two meat dishes, which received 10/10 stars. Rarely eaten so well. The owner and his wife gave us a wonderful evening. We would like to recommend this restaurant! Best regards

I found it yesterday by accident, but unfortunately when I got there it turned out to be full and fully booked. Fortunately, the very nice waiter showed great empathy, made sure we would be ready in a given time and offered us a table! Thank you very much for your huge heart, delicious food and wonderful atmosphere! I recommend it to everyone, a hungry and cold customer from Poland :)

We had a more or less involuntary stay in Dortmund - but the city's reputation increased immensely through our meal at Emilio's. I actually always have something to complain about, but I would like to give this 10 stars 🙈 We didn't have a reservation on Friday evening, but we still got a place - which I think is very good but I don't understand at all. The service had a few teething problems, but was increasingly friendly😁 It is the best Italian restaurant I know in Germany so far!

Staying in Dortmund tonight and the food options were not great. I googled ‘best Italian restaurant in Dortmund’ and it came up with Emilio in Kaiserstrasse. There were many diners outside but I selected to eat inside and I wasn’t disappointed; the chef (Sayimo Bufo) cooked me jumbo king prawns in a broth with olives and chillis followed by Octopus with a vegetable medley. I travel a lot for work and I have to say that this is the best Italian food that I’ve had in a long while. I’ll be back…tomorrow!

The service was very reserved and reserved (to put it kindly), not a friendly word, not a smile, nothing like that. The waitress hardly paid any attention to my girlfriend and me. Even the simplest serving rules were not applied, such as putting down the beer glass and leaving the water bottle somewhere on the table. No water was put into the glasses either. My plate was taken from the table while I was still eating. I know it completely differently. The salmon with orange sauce we ordered was a big disappointment as it was served very dry and completely unseasoned. Neither pepper nor salt helped here. The side dish was exceptionally good (a tiny bit of vegetables). On the other hand, the quantity of our meal was very, very small, but the price was unreasonably very, very high. The many tables were too close together. The noise level was extremely high (too many tables in the small room). That's why it was difficult to have a conversation. The service, the food and the ambience still leave a lot of room for improvement. Unfortunately, my girlfriend and I cannot agree with the positive reviews online in any way. Therefore, we only stayed at this restaurant as long as necessary. We will avoid this restaurant in the future, it's a shame for the time lost and money wasted unnecessarily.
