We visited Emilio again last night and were absolutely thrilled. Excellent service and attentive advice. We'll definitely be back.

The day before yesterday, five of us went to dinner at this wonderful restaurant. All five of us went home happy. Everything was just perfect: the selection of dishes, the quality of the food, the wine selection, the ambiance, the service. We had two starters, five main courses (including three different pasta dishes, one sea bass, one octopus), and one tiramisu, and everyone was full. Everything served was perfectly prepared and looked beautiful. The service—despite the restaurant being quite full—was first-class. It made you feel at home! It's a shame I don't live in Dortmund, otherwise I would be a regular here.

A friend recommended this place to me, and I immediately looked it up online. The reviews were great, so I went there with my girlfriend. We walked up to the shop—and what can I say? The online pictures don't even begin to capture how beautiful it looked today. The decor is beautiful, both inside and out: classic, romantic, Italian. The service was very attentive; they greeted us warmly, offered us a seat, and immediately made us feel welcome and comfortable. The menu offered a good variety with lovely, fresh ingredients. After we ordered, the chef came over and made us feel warm. All in all, it was a very informal atmosphere, and the food was perfect for the price. I had pasta with beef tips, and my girlfriend had ravioli with porcini mushrooms and truffles—we were both thrilled ;) After our lovely visit, we naturally left a generous tip. We highly recommend the shop and would gladly return; it's definitely worth a visit!

Unfortunately, the restaurant team wasn't having a good day. Although the restaurant wasn't very busy, the service had great difficulty serving all the guests properly. Our appetizer was unfortunately forgotten. However, we received a free dessert to compensate. Overall, the dining room was very crowded. Privacy at the table is unfortunately not possible. This is probably also the reason why the waiters don't serve drinks on a tray. My wife's meal was very good. My tagliatella with strips of beef fillet was ordinary.

The food was, as always, very good. All served in a very pleasant atmosphere and with extremely friendly service. A perfect evening.

We celebrated my best friend's birthday at Emilio today. It was a wonderful evening. The appetizers and our main courses were delicious. The truffle pasta made from the Parmesan cheese was super tasty, and the portion size was perfect—not too much, not too little! For dessert, we had tiramisu and our homemade cake. Thank you again for letting us eat it in the restaurant! The staff were even kind enough to chill the cake and then beautifully arrange it at the table and cut it. Simply fantastic! It was a wonderful evening; we'll definitely be back!

We were there around 6 p.m. and were greeted very friendly. In addition to the good food, what is particularly noteworthy in this restaurant is the service. We were given very good advice when choosing food and drinks. The food was served promptly and hot. Given the order of the individual courses, we were able to decide when the next course would be served - which we found to be quite pleasant. Overall, we had a very nice evening and will be happy to come back.

Always an absolute highlight! Every time I visit from Northern Germany, a meal here is a must - and for good reason: the food is simply heavenly, made with a lot of love and full of taste. Asked 5 times no drinks 6.30pm reservation, food received 9.40pm. Ordered a cappuccino and almost didn't get it because the boss said you can't drink fish and cappu together. Spaghetti with shrimp and asparagus but without asparagus, trd same price. Asked for another supplement, received no answer. Bill 500€. Recommended to kindly offer alternatives, we have an answer, but it's not on the menu. 1x and that's enough

A solid Italian restaurant with authentic Italian dishes and wines on the menu. The tuna steak could have used a bit less heat, and the beef steak was actually very good, but the pepper sauce on top was unnecessary. Otherwise, you can have a pleasant and delicious evening there.

It was our first time at Emilio and we loved it! The antipasti starter was very tasty. We also really enjoyed the Primitivo Riserva. A highlight was the pasta with Parmesan truffles. The service was consistently polite, personable and attentive. We would definitely like to come back!

You don't have to write much here. Had dinner there yesterday with 9 people. From front to back, everything is great. The ingredients are fresh and superbly prepared. Service (Jan), very attentive, friendly and competent. But I would like to highlight the kitchen team again. They create really great dishes. Price/performance absolutely fine. One star less for the ambience because the acoustics get really tiring along the way.

We were here because of the many good reviews, but we can't confirm them. The food was good overall, but the main courses were of varying quality. At the end of our stay it was the service that ruined everything. About the situation: The restaurant was full and a young couple without a reservation needed a seat. We told the waiter that we would like to sit for another 5 minutes but would then be happy to give up our seat. Two minutes later the waiter comes to our table, intervenes in our table conversation with his cleaning cloth, wipes the table surface and sets new things. To a “Excuse me, couldn’t you please wait a moment?” comes a “Prego!”, but things continue to be covered anyway. An absolute disrespect. To this day I still wonder how someone can be so insensitive.

We (and many compatriots) were recently in Dortmund for a concert by Ludovico Eunadi. A search for good food yielded this restaurant. It was a fifteen minute walk from our hotel and there we found this cute restaurant. We were warmly welcomed and were happy that we had made a reservation, because at 5 p.m. they were fully booked! We chose truffle pasta and pasta with steak and thoroughly enjoyed it, including the matching wine. Dessert, tiramisu of course, was not to be missed! In short, go there, really enjoy it!

... once upon a time in Dortmund ;-) This is how stories begin. I would like to tell you a nice little one here. I visited a friend and went to the motorcycle fair in Dortmund with him. It was the weekend and carnival and so there was a lot going on in the city. I had chosen a restaurant, which was unfortunately fully booked. The friend suggested another one, the Emilio. Luckily there was still a table available. 8:30 p.m. We enter the restaurant. I think I'm not seeing correctly. A familiar face from the past from my current home island of Borkum. I see him, he sees me, we recognize each other immediately… after 15 years. It's Jan. What a coincidence!!! Without knowing he works there. How small is the world? ;-) If there had been something available at the other restaurant, the friend had suggested another restaurant, this reunion would not have happened. :-) And now to the restaurant: Wonderful ambience! Very professional and warm hosts, excellent service and excellent food. I'm already looking forward to my next visit to Dortmund and the Emilio...

From the time we made the reservation until we said goodbye, we were looked after very attentively and in an uncomplicated manner. The premises are well maintained. Even with a larger group we had enough space. The service is very friendly and entertaining. The food was very good and beautifully presented, from the starter to the main course to the dessert. Despite our larger group, the menu wasn't shortened - we had the full choice. Thank you for this lovely evening!

We were there with 11 people. The waiter spoke Russian and Bulgarian, which was very beneficial for our Armenian guests from Moscow. The service was very good. Some had penne pasta with beef and salmon. There were also fresh tuna and salmon with vegetables and potatoes as a side dish as well as rump steak with the same side dishes at the table. All dishes were to our utmost satisfaction. I had the dessert myself, an Armenian specialty for our guests. For a small fee of €1.50, the waiters portioned it out for us, refined it with powdered sugar and served it to us. We were all very satisfied. Highly recommended. Visit 11/2024 Reservation via telephone: great Great, personal service. Great ambience. We had the Pulpo and Tagliatelle di Manzo. The pulp was very good. The sugo with the pasta as well. The beef didn't taste that good. Wine - Sauvignon - was very good. The price of the wine is very fair at €27.50. Dessert cannoli were good. The cafe was also very good.

Sufficient number of parking spaces in front of the Emillio!! Well-arranged menu, the dishes are fresh and very tasty! The wine selection leaves nothing to be desired. The service can't be beat. Paying with a card is also lightning fast. The prices are totally justified and fair. We'll definitely come back.

I live in California and I've eaten in many Italian restaurants around the world. But this was by far my favorite. Never thought I would find such a gem in the middle of Germany. Friendly and very prompt service. Highly recommend this place!!!
