This evening we made the long journey to El Greco - unfortunately it was closed due to vacation until October 10th - it said on the internet that it should be open - drove 30 km for free!

Just got back from a great dinner here. As vegetarians , we ordered the Greek salad and several other side dishes (gigante beans, stuffed eggplant, baked potato, pita), and we left completely satisfied. Everything was delicious, and very friendly atmosphere. And they have an English menu if you need it!

We had dinner here yesterday with four people without a reservation but still got a seat outside. Everything went quickly, whether it was drinks or food. The service was very friendly and attentive. At the end there was an ouzo if you wanted. Since it was only a short vacation for us, this restaurant will be in the back of our minds if we go there again

We had dinner with friends at El Greco this evening. All dishes were very tasty. We were served very friendly and quickly. The price-performance ratio was right. Conclusion...We spent a pleasant evening there and would love to come back.

Food was terrible, I absolutely cannot understand these good reviews. I think only deep fryers and microwaves are used here. We expected more but it was absolutely disappointing.

Wir sind am Ende eines langen Fahrradtages zufällig im El Greco eingekehrt. Uns hat sogleich die freundliche Aufnahme durch das Personal gefreut. Auch die klare, gut verständliche Speisekarte machte einen guten Eindruck. Wir wurden die gesamte Zeit über sehr zuvorkommend betreut. Das Essen war sehr lecker, und vor allem nicht - im Gegensatz zu vielen griechischen Restaurants - zu sehr gesalzen. Das ganze eher historische Ambiente des Restaurants ist ebenfalls stimmig und hat Charme.

We got a nice spot on Friday without a reservation. There was a lot going on outside and inside. But we were warmly welcomed and served very friendly. Although we were told it could take a bit longer, our food was served in a timely manner. Everything was very tasty and we got a delicious ouzo at the end. Clear recommendation!

A traditional Greek restaurant with great cuisine. We received a warm welcome, the food came quickly, was hot and damn tasty. The staff is very attentive, and our pug Manni was warmly welcomed and pampered. The finale was of course crowned with a good ouzo. The prices are justified these days. Thanks! We'll be back!!!

Very pleasant environment. Warm welcome and caring service. The three of us were at the restaurant around 12:30 and had lunch. It wasn't busy so a reservation wasn't necessary. The food was served course by course, allowing for pleasant time to chat. [First the starters, then the salad and then the main course] But that doesn't mean we had to wait forever. It was just a nice, cozy get-together and the food always came quickly after the previous course had been cleared away. The portions were also big enough for everyone to be full. Personally, I was actually able to take a little leftover with me. So all in all a nice restaurant to have a good meal. I will come again. :-)

Went there for lunch, the dishes were delicious and the service was good and attentive. We thought about getting a bulgor salad, but it wasn't ready. But later we were given a portion to try without being asked. Very nice and thank you very much for that. Will definitely come back again.

Discovered while passing through Highly Recommended! The dishes here really lean towards traditional Greek cuisine. There is not the masses of meat here, which taste almost the same in all Greeks I know, but enough to fill you up, but with an authentic touch. Super nice and courteous service! I would eat there again if I were in the area.

We were passing through and had a wonderful evening in this hospitable house. The service was very nice, the food came quickly and tasted excellent. And I was recommended a really traditional Greek dish, Tagania Kotopoulo(#106) - I enjoyed every bite! We were looked after very warmly and we would come back here at any time - if only it wasn't so far from Lübeck 😉. Efcharistó poli and warm greetings!

The Greek restaurant El Greco offers a culinary experience in a class of its own. Of particular note is the Tesaloniki plate, which was authentically and deliciously prepared. Service was attentive, friendly and quick. The ambience and charm of an old German pub/inn, not what you would imagine from a Greek restaurant. Unfortunately, the food is only lower middle class, not freshly prepared. A pity. Next time you visit, go somewhere else.

Das El Greco befindet sich in einem alten Weinlokal mit dementsprechender Einrichtung. Das gesamte Personal war freundlich und aufmerksam. Das Gyros hatte gute Qualität, Suvlaki und Bifteki kennen wir besser. Auch warteten wir im nahezu leeren Lokal recht lange auf unser Hauptgericht welches dann noch nicht mal richtig heiß war. Der Salat ging gar nicht. Billigster Eisberg incl. sämtlicher Strünke, zum Teil bereits braun verfärbt, zugesetzt war ein wenig Mais, eine halbe Tomatenscheibe und Rosinen (habe ich auch noch nicht erlebt, brauche ich aber auch nicht mehr). Das Zaziki war hingegen wirklich lecker, als Vorspeise auch eine reichliche Menge, der Preis mit 5,80 € aber auch recht hoch. Unangenehm überrascht waren wir, dass dieses mit nur 2! ca. 1cm breiten Scheibchen Baguette serviert wurde. Nachdem für die verbleibenden 80% der Vorspeise dann kein Brot mehr da war haben wir welches nachbestellt. Jetzt wurden mehrere Scheiben geliefert, die zu unserem Erstaunen tatsächlich mit 1,50€ berechnet wurden. Das El Greco liegt an einer Hauptstraße, ist vom Ambiente und den Speisen eher mittelmäßig und verprellt -zumindest uns- dann mit einer solch kleinlichen Berechnung….. so etwas kennen wir nur von sehr gehobenen Lokalen mit tollem Blick, Ambiente und Service.

After a hike we stopped here with a larger group. The service lady was mostly alone, but she had everything and everyone completely under control. Very impressive. The food was tasty, plentiful and came to the table quickly. The space is rather small, the atmosphere is good, middle-class, everything is very clean. The team built a large table for the large group so everyone could sit at one table.

Eater tasted very good, we'll be back.

There will be a reason why drink prices are not mentioned or not shown on the so-called menus. It's probably too embarrassing!!

We were here for the first time today (vacation). Based on various recessions, we thought about looking for another restaurant...👀 but were pleasantly surprised. Very clean restaurant, friendly service, pleasant atmosphere. The food was hot and delicious. A very interesting starter salad that I didn't know before. We had a grill plate and a pot of lamb. (Lamb cubes with tomatoes and mushrooms in sauce, with fries) Everything was fried to perfection and seasoned very tasty. We would be happy to come back and can fully recommend this restaurant.

To be honest: I was so disappointed! Loud, long wait for food and with hair in it too, the meat dry and tough. I had a craving for gyros and skewers. Pork gyros didn't even exist. Chicken gyros don't taste particularly good. I know the skewers as skewered pieces of meat, but here everything was cut into shape and therefore not very large. Also a lot of pieces of fat in between. The portion of salad that came with it was also very small. First I found a black hair in the salad when I had almost finished eating it, which was very unpleasant, and then in the chicken gyro. Thanks, that's it for me with the supposedly good food. The liver had been fried for far too long and was therefore very tough. The bifteki looked and tasted like it was undercooked. So not intoxicating either. And when we paid, the real deal came: we ordered a plate for two people plus an extra plate and salad. The price was one plate for three people, which makes a difference of over €20. No deductions for the bad food and no deductions for the hair. There wasn't even a schnapps afterwards. So I was so disappointed and will never go there again. I wouldn't recommend my friends or acquaintances to go there either. It was just a disappointment. As a quick side note: I had fun for two more days when this food tried to leave my body again 🥴

Had a table reserved for 6 p.m. today for New Year's Eve. We arrived 8 minutes earlier and were immediately told that we were early, even though the table was free. With the jacket still off, the waiter was already standing behind us with the menu. We ordered grilled pepperoni as a starter, bread had to be ordered and paid for separately. The main course was chicken skewers with fries, tzatziki and a side salad. Got warm bulgur salad instead of fries. When I complained about it, all they said was that bulgur salad was healthier than fries. We noticed that bulgur salad was being brought instead of fries at the next table and there was also a complaint. Maybe it had to go... The second dish was a Mykonos grill mix plate No. 98 The souvlaki skewer consisted only of fatty pork. The bifteki was inedible. The side salad was iceberg lettuce with lots of woody stalks, 3 corn kernels and half a slice of tomato. The dressing tasteless. We gave the service 4 stars because after all the complaints we were not charged for the poor second dish No. 98. Based on our experience with the dishes we ordered, we will no longer eat there.

Wir waren mit Freunden dort und hatten sehr unterschiedliche Eindrücke. Uns persönlich hat es sehr gut geschmeckt und die Größe der Portionen war für uns genau richtig. Geschmacklich waren unsere Gerichte sehr gut. Unsere Freunde waren nicht ganz so zufrieden. Für sie waren die Portionen zu klein. Bei großem Appetit empfiehlt sich eine Vorspeise. Das Bifteki entsprach auch nicht ihren Vorstellungen. Es fehlte der typische griechische Geschmack.

Wir waren heute zum ersten Mal dort. Das Essen war super, die Bedienung sehr freundlich und auch kinderfreundlich. Die Portionen waren im Preis Leistungsverhältnis sehr angemessen. Zum Abschluss gab es noch einen Ouzo aufs Haus. Wir kommen definitiv wieder und können das Lokal sehr empfehlen.

Essen Bombe, Service Bombe, sollte man mal gewesen sein. Tisch reservieren, ist meistens gut besucht.

Sowohl die Inneneinrichtung, wie auch die Einrichtung im Außenbereich ist in die Jahre gekommen. Der Service ist freundlich. Die Qualität der Speisen ist insgesamt durchschnittlich. Es gibt dabei sowohl Ausreißer nach oben wie nach unten. Die Preise spiegeln nicht bei jeder Speise die Qualität wieder.

Wir hatten als Vorspeise Schafskäse Creme. Die Creme war lecker jedoch passte das dunkle Bauern roth nicht dazu. Einfrisch geröstestes Weißbrot oder Fladenbrot hätte ich mir eher gewünscht. Die Rinderleber war zart aber leider mit einer Soße bestrichen die mir nicht so gefiel. Das Kyros war mir zu trocken. Als Beilage Pommes und 4 Ecken Fladenbrot war mir zuviel Beilage. Das Fladenbrot hätte ich mir frisch geröstet gewünscht.

Das negative: das Porzelan war ungeniesbar; ok ich muss die Wahrheit sagen: das Porzelan konnte ich doch nicht mehr essen da mein stomach schon sowieso voll war. Ich hatte noch kuchen als Nachtisch bekommen; das war nicht bestellt. Die krönung natürlich Ouzo und davon 2 habe ich auf zack .... Wir gehen wieder am Sonntag hin. Die Fotos kommen auch bald ...... .. ..

Gyros mit Metaxasauce und Fritten war o.k.

Ziemlich unschöne Möbel im Außenbereich. Rasenteppich als Bodenbelag in einem Zelt oder wie man es nennen möchte . Das Personal war freundlich und das Essen in Ordnung .

Leider war der Besuch eher enttäuschend. Beilagensalat sehr einfach angerichtet. Platte für zwei Personen vom Geschmack her leider sehr dürftig. Der Gyros sehr trocken. Die Spieße sehr fad vom Geschmack. Die "Frikadellen" sehr fasrig und geschmacksneutral. 4 Scheiben Leber. Vom Geschmack das beste auf dem Teller. Aber mit 4 Stück deutlich über meinen Bedarf. Tzatziki in kleinen Dipp Schalen. Hätte sicherlich gut geschmeckt wenn nicht nach 2 x tunken leer. Service war OK. Der Versuch bei der Nachfrage wie es schmeckt und die ehrliche Antwort dazu kam alles zu rechtfertigen war leider nicht sehr gekonnt. Geschmäcker sind verschieden. Die Küche dieses Restaurants ist definitiv nicht mein Geschmack.

Nach unserer Radtour von Bingen nach Remagen war El Greco genau dad richtige heute. Wahnsinnig lecker und genau die richtige Größe. Gesättigt geht es jetzt weiter in Richtung Innenstadt. Danke für einen leckeren Abend💪😍

Wir waren auf der Durchreise in Remagen und haben nach einem netten Restaurant gesucht. Abseits der Touristen Restaurants am Rhein sind wir dann darauf aufmerksam geworden und hier stimmt wirklich alles. Der Nachwuchs bekam sein erstes Essen in einem Restaurant vom Kellner angeboten (eine Gurke auf der er kauen konnte) und auch die Eltern waren glücklich. Wenn wir mal wieder in Remagen sind, wird sicher auch der nächste Besuch folgen.

Op onze vakantie naar Oostenrijk overnacht in Remagen en 's avonds gegeten bij El Greco in het centrum van Remagen. Het was fantastisch weer en we hadden geluk dat we lekker buiten konden eten. De bediening was prettig en gastvrij. Mijn vrouw en ik namen samen de El Greco Plate voor 2 personen. Dit bestond uit runderlever (lekker apart), varkens saté (erg lekker), een hamburger (ietwat smakeloos) en gyros (heerlijk gekruid, lekker sappig, superlekker). Daarbij werd prima patat en een eenvoudige salade geserveerd. Dit was al met al dermate royaal dat er geen ruimte meer was voor een dessert. Het was een gezellige en smaakvolle avond in Remagen

Freundliche Bedienung, sehr leckeres Essen und nicht nur das bei vielen griechischen Restaurants übliche Grillfleisch. Unbedingt nach frittierten Zucchini als Vorspeise fragen! Einfach und köstlich!
