Restaurant El Greco in Memmingen

We were welcomed very friendly and served quickly. The food was of very good quality and we enjoyed it excellently. We'd love to come back!

Very negative service experience that clearly shows manipulative business practices. At the bar I ordered a dish and asked about the beer selection. The man (presumably the manager or owner, since he was in everyday clothes and not a work uniform) instead of giving me simple information about the types of beer, only gave me a strict request to sit down first. Obviously a tactic: first get the guest to sit down so that they can then no longer leave so easily - even if they may not like the drink offer. When I politely insisted on finding out what beer was on offer first (a completely normal customer request), he became rude. The restaurant probably had beer on offer, but since I didn't bow to his pressure and didn't blindly take a seat, I was suddenly told there was no beer and I could leave. A clear 'punishment' for not following his instructions. Such manipulative practices are unacceptable. A reputable restaurant should: - Provide transparent information about your offer - Treat customers with respect - Do not try to force guests to stay using psychological tricks - Don't act offended when customers ask legitimate questions

Best Greek in Memmingen with pleasant prices. Very nice atmosphere with Greek background music that you can also hear instead of just the crowds. Very nice, courteous bosses and employees. 1 ouzo before eating, one in between and one for digestion. They care about the guests' well-being. Thank you 🙏

Rather mediocre restaurant. Deep fried calamari was not fresh. Salad is very simple, just ice lettuce, no tomatoes, no olives

The food is very good and large portions for reasonable money. Not so nice from the outside but very warm inside.

Price performance good. Bifteki could have more sheep's cheese in it, but the taste is very good. Nice rust aromas. If you have a salad, definitely upgrade to farmer’s lettuce.

A simple and old restaurant. The beer garden seemed a bit improvised but was okay. The food was good, the meat juicy and tasty. The starter salad was extremely simple. A couple of olives and some sheep's cheese brightened it up sufficiently. The restaurant was busy and the service was satisfactory. Price performance is good

We were looking forward to the beer garden and delicious food, but then unfortunately only discovered the notice "company vacation" on the entrance door. I wonder why it is not possible to put this essential information on the homepage. Would have saved us a 40 km trip to the butcher and almost an hour. It looked as if the restaurant was open as normal.

The best Greek restaurant I've ever been to in my life. I ordered the Poseidon plate and fell in love with the food.

Bad service. People who didn't make a reservation and came after us already had their drinks and even their salad on the table, and we hadn't even taken the order for the drinks yet. The food was almost tasteless, with little to no seasoning. Portions very small. We'd rather pay a little more, but it's fine. In any case, we will never visit this restaurant again.

First of all, a big respect to the chefs, the waiters and the owner. The food was delicious and well prepared, the service was very friendly and respectful and you can eat comfortably outside on the terrace when it is hot outside. I'm sorry that I couldn't drink the welcome drink, but this was a gesture from the house and shows respect and hospitality for the guest. We recommend eating here. Keep it up :)

We've probably been there ten times now and it's always striking how much Ioannis and his team are not just restaurateurs, but really warm hosts. They really care about the well-being of each individual. This may sound cheesy, but you feel like a small part of the family. Now to the most important thing, why you are looking for a restaurant in the first place: the food. We've already tried a lot and haven't been disappointed with any dish yet. Whether it's the starters, main courses or desserts, everything is super delicious. The portions should easily satisfy everyone and the price-performance ratio is absolutely fine for today's standards. Since we never notice the people in the kitchen, we would like to give a big shout out in this regard. By chance, El Greco has become one of our favorite restaurants in Memmingen and we like to drive here from Kempten. So for anyone who likes to eat good Greek food and have warm people around them, we absolutely recommend it.

We ate here today - on our way from the Ruhr area to South Tyrol. We enjoyed it very much and the portions were quite large. Great price/performance ratio. The selection of dishes on the menu is more than sufficient. Gyros very crispy and tasty, souvlaki and pork fillet grilled/fried very well. Delicious metaxa sauce. Dishes came very quickly, very friendly service. We were completely satisfied.

Nettes Personal gutes Essen macht weiter so

Das Ambiente ist ok, es gibt ein paar Nischen, wo man für sich ist zum ungestörten Plaudern, teilweise aber auch Tische die sehr nah beieinander stehen und man die Unterhaltung der Tischnachbarn bis ins Detail unweigerlich mitbekommt. Das Personal ist stets freundlich und die Begrüßung am Tisch ok. Leere Teller werden sehr schnell abgeräumt, leere Gläser bzw. die Frage ob man noch was zum Trinken haben möchte erfolgte leider nicht. Wir mussten immer auf uns aufmerksam machen. Die Auswahl an Speisen entspricht den Erwartungen an ein griechisches Restaurant. Preis/Leistung ist in Ordnung. Das bestellte Essen wurde sehr schnell serviert. Was sich für mich aber nicht erklären lässt, ist die Tatsache, dass die Speisen teilweise schon nicht mehr richtig heiß waren. Schade eigentlich, denn geschmacklich hat es gepasst.

*12.11.2023 Von der Bestellung bis das Essen kommt vergingen nur, ein paar Minuten. Das ist sehr lobenswert obwohl, es am Sonntag sehr gut besucht ist. Essen war lecker und der Service auch sehr freundlich.

Drei Sterne Alles gut, es geht aber definitiv besser, wenn mann es auch will.

Ein schönes griechisches Restaurant mit freundlichem Personal, guten Preisen und leckeren Speisen.

Die Fischplatte ist sehr lecker. Wunderbar zubereitet und empfehlenswert. Für Fleischesser sind die Lammkeulen sehr gut.

Wir waren hier abends mit einer Gruppe von 15 Personen. Perfekter Service und sehr gute griechische Gerichte.

Also das Ambiente ist ganz angenehm kann ganz gemütlich werden. Die Bedienung wo wir hatten war entweder neu oder neben der Kappe da sie einen nicht nochmal fragte ob man noch was zu trinken haben möchte. Und hat auch nicht gerade freundlich geschaut. Das Essen war so teils gut aber anderen Teils war es nicht ganz so gut (kalt, nicht ganz durch gekocht usw). Die Wartezeiten waren normal für Essen und Getränke.
