Weinstube zur Eiche in Memmingen

Zu meinem Wurstsalat wurde leider Brot mit leichten Schimmelspuren serviert. Trotz meines Hinweises gab es keinen Preisnachlass, was ich enttäuschend fand. Etwas verwundert hat mich zudem, dass keine Kartenzahlung möglich war. Zwei Sterne gibt es dennoch, da die Speisen meiner Stammtischkollegen offenbar gut waren.

Das Essen war leider ungenießbar. Das Cordon Bleu war sowohl oben als auch unter rabenschwarz und hat geschmeckt wie Kohle mit Käse Toilette war ebenfalls unzumutbar, ein total verstopft und eklig.

Urige Weinstube mit sehr freundlichem, manchmal auch etwas herben Service, sehr gutes Essen, wechselnde Tagesgerichte, meist voll und laut, nichts für Menschen, die in Ruhe ungestört Speisen wollen aber gut für die, die einen lebendigen Abend vielleicht sogar mit vorher Fremden verbringen wollen, im Sommer idyllischer Außenbereich am und über dem Stadtbücherei.

Sehr leckeres, bodenständiges Essen in der Weinstube zur Eiche. Besonders cool: Frank Oehler hat uns persönlich begrüßt – super sympathisch. Komme gerne wieder!

Gut bürgerliche Küche, Essen mit kleinen Abstrichen gut, hervorzuheben ist der ausgezeichnete Kaiserschmarrn, noch nie so feinen Schmarrn gegessen. Preise mittleres Niveau.

Kleine, urige Gaststätte mit lecker Essen und tollem Service

Mir fällt es schwer, das alles zu bewerten. Ich war heute das erste Mal als Gast in diesem Lokal. Die Akustik war ein bisschen laut, aber das lag wohl daran, dass ein Verein seine Weihnachtsfeier dort verbracht hat aber es war trotzdem relativ kalt. Als ich die Speisekarte aufmachte, war ich ein bisschen enttäuscht von dem Angebot was es so alles zum Essen gibt. Wenn das aber das Konzept sein soll, ist es auch nicht zu beanstanden. Jeder hat seine eigene Philosophie da dazu. Nachdem ich meine Maultaschen mit Röstzwiebeln und Kartoffelsalat bestellt hatte, bekam ich Mega leckere Maultaschen. Aber die Röstzwiebeln waren gekauft und nicht selber gemacht. Da war ich sehr enttäuscht, dass man bei so einem Sternekoch gekaufte Röstzwiebeln verwendet. Der Kartoffelsalat war auch gewöhnungsbedürftig und ich denke er war mit Kürbiskernöl angemacht. Es war geschmacklich interessant, aber nicht meins. Leider war der Chef nicht zugegen ansonsten hätte ich ihn gefragt um seine Philosophie zu verstehen und welche Gedanken ihn dabei begleitet haben. Aber das mit den Röstzwiebeln hat mich wirklich enttäuscht und im Normalfall würde ich für das Essen nur drei Sterne geben. Zum Essen werde ich da mit Sicherheit nicht mehr hingehen, aber im Sommer was trinken geht immer.

Seid Frank Öhler die Weinstube übernommen hat geht Geldgier vor Gastfreundschaft. Er hat doch tatsächloch den Stammtisch der seit über 30 Jahren jeden Donnerstag kam mit drr Begründung rausgeworfen, dass einer der Mitglieder nichts gegessen hat, sondern nur 10,60 Euro verkonsummiert hat.Die anderen 7 hatten Zechen von 30 bis 40 Euro. Unglaublich.

Seit Fernsehkpch Frank Öhler die Eiche übernommen hat hat sich Gastfreundschaft nach meinem Eindruck in Geldgier verwandelt. Der Stammtisch, der seit über 30 Jahren in der Eiche ist wurde "ausgeladen", der Tisch unangekündigt anderweitig vergeben. Begründung: letzte Woche hat einer von Euch nur 10,60 € Zeche gehabt und nur 0,40 € Trinkgeld gegeben. Die restlichen Mitglieder des Stammtisches hatten wie immer Zechen zwischen 30 und 40 Euro. Das ist dem service -und Kundenorientierten Superwirt auch erst eingefallen als Abends die Gäste zu ihrem seit Jahrzenten reservierten Tisch wollten. Ein weiteres Manko sind seit der Übernahme der Gaststätte durch Frank Öhler die Gäste aus der Schicki Micki Szene. Der Schallpegel durch lautes Gelächter und Geschrei macht teilweise Unterhaltungen unmöglich. Die Variationen der Beilagen zum neuen Dauertagesgericht " Fleischküchle" sind lecker. Aber jede Woche Fleischküchle sind auch nicht jedermanns Sache. Zumal das Preis-Leistungsverhältnis mehr als fraglich ist. Den Sanitäranlagen sieht man an, dass mit Ausnagme einer Billigmodernisierung vot gefühlt 10 Jahren immer noch der Zustand der 80er Jahre erhalten ist. Bei meinem letzten Besuch vor ca. 3 Wochen klabte der Boden vor dem Urinal kräftig.

Unser Besuch in der Weinstube zur Eiche war insgesamt sehr enttäuschend. Schon am Eingang mussten wir durch eine dichte Rauchwolke laufen, da der Raucherbereich direkt vor der Eingangstür platziert ist und sich dort zudem mehrere stark alkoholisierte Gäste aufhielten. Man betritt das Lokal praktisch nur einmal – und riecht den Rest des Tages wie ein Aschenbecher. Das ist absolut nicht mehr zeitgemäß. Auf der Terrasse wäre genügend Platz, um den Raucherbereich einfach ein paar Meter weiter weg zu verlegen. Ganz ehrlich: Hätte ich nicht gesehen, dass das Restaurant von Herrn Oehler betrieben wird, wäre ich gar nicht erst hineingegangen. Das Lokal wirkt eher wie eine einfache Bierboazn, bei der der Fokus eher auf Trinken als auf Kulinarik liegt. Innen wirkte alles rustikal, aber insgesamt ungepflegt. Der Boden war schmutzig, in den Ecken lag Staub, und die Toiletten hinterließen den schlechtesten Eindruck: verdreckte Pissoirs, Haare an der Wand – insgesamt sehr ungepflegt und weit entfernt von einem Standard, den man in der Gastronomie erwarten darf. Kulinarisch war der Besuch ebenfalls ernüchternd. Zu jedem Gericht gab es ausschließlich Kartoffelsalat – keine Bratkartoffeln, keine Alternative. Lediglich bei den Linsen wurden Spätzle serviert. Ich liebe bayerische, bodenständige Küche – und weiß genau, dass ein guter bayerischer Kartoffelsalat zwar eine kräftige Brühe braucht, aber ebenso das feine Spiel aus leichter Säure und Zwiebeln. Genau das hat gefehlt. Das Schnitzel und das Cordon Bleu waren außerdem sehr fettig und deutlich versalzen. Für meine 9-jährige Tochter wurden „Spätzle mit Soße“ empfohlen, gekommen ist jedoch eine kräftige Pilz-Speck-Soße – geschmacklich das Highlight des gesamten Essens, aber für ein Kind völlig ungeeignet und ohne Hinweis serviert. Dass zusätzlich keine Kartenzahlung möglich ist und man erst einen Bankautomaten aufsuchen muss, macht den Gesamteindruck nicht besser. Alles in allem war der Besuch weit entfernt von dem, was man sich von einem Restaurant unter der Leitung eines bekannten Kochs wie Frank Oehler erhofft. Sehr schade – das Potenzial wäre da, aber umgesetzt wurde es an diesem Abend definitiv nicht.

The long-standing regulars at the Eichenstammtisch (10 people, for 35 years, at 5 different inns) are unfortunately no longer welcome at the wine bar run by "chef Oehler." One of the reasons given was that they hadn't tipped enough – an accusation that was delivered to the regulars in an inappropriate manner. It's a shame that such a long-standing tradition has ended in this way, especially since the Memminger Zeitung newspaper of August 30, 2025, still reported: "Everything stays the same."

The Weinstube zur Eiche offers a wonderful, cozy atmosphere, a somewhat rustic yet first-class food, and a warm, attentive team. The dishes are lovingly prepared and taste fantastic, complemented by a great wine selection. A truly harmonious experience – highly recommended!

We were there yesterday with friends who raved so much about the Weinstube zur Eiche that we wanted to try their delicious food for ourselves. And I have to say, it was absolutely delicious, with dishes I'd never had before. Just like Mom's cooking, and maybe even a touch better 🤩. We'll definitely be back! No fuss, just the essentials. Food made with love.

The atmosphere is truly special, a place where the heart sings. And then comes Frank Oehler with his delicious cuisine, with which he brings regional and traditional dishes to perfection. We had sausage salad, bread and butter, and Maultaschen (swabian ravioli) with potato salad. Every bite was a delight. Our friends said they had never tasted such good sausage salad or Maultaschen. To manage this in a 4-square-meter kitchen – hats off! Moreover, the prices are more than fair. I can only attest to the fact that Frank Oehler is taking a truly wonderful and down-to-earth approach, which brings us great joy and pleasure. We will certainly be coming back many more times.

We were there to celebrate my birthday. We felt very comfortable. The restaurant is certainly a bit dated, but that's precisely what gives it its special charm. Combined with the excellent, no-frills, home-style cooking, the straightforward service, the affordable prices, and the hospitality, this is once again a place for everyone. Regardless of age or social background. We'd love to come back and are happy to have something like this in Memmingen. Thank you!

Great location, like being in your living room. My wife and I felt very comfortable. Super friendly service. Reservations are recommended. We were lucky that two seats remained.

A friend and I visited the Eiche a few days ago on a Tuesday evening. Despite the restaurant being full and no reservation, we were able to find a table with the help of the waitress. The daily specials included meat cakes with napkin dumplings and Bavarian cabbage. These were also highly recommended by the waitress. We both opted for them. The quality of the dish was outstanding. If you enjoy classic Swabian/Bavarian cuisine and value expert chef craftsmanship, the Eiche is the place for you. I'll be back.

The food is absolutely delicious. As you'd expect from a former TV and Michelin-starred chef. Frank Oehler's small menu is down-to-earth but perfect. We've rarely eaten so well. The service is very friendly and has recommendations for wine and food. Mr. Oehler was even personally at the table and greeted his guests. Seven people were here for our wedding anniversary and had made a reservation.

We visited the Zur Eiche wine bar for the first time at the beginning of September and were absolutely thrilled. The location by the Stadtbach stream is breathtaking, and the food was superb. Frank Oehler, the new owner of the wine bar, has swapped the Michelin-starred cuisine for the heartfelt cuisine. The food is just like mom's, and every forkful is a little bit of a childhood memory, heartwarmingly delicious. We're already looking forward to the next time.

Good choice for dinner with friends

Very quaint, right on the Memmingen city stream. A dream, at least in summer.

Totally disappointing experience. Service was too slow, and one dish arrived 20 minutes before the other three. Only two sausages on a bed of sauerkraut, the ham was dry and not very tender, and the baguette was overpriced for what was served. The only redeeming features were the schnitzel and the beer. We were outside, and when the natural light faded, there was no table lighting, and I even took the bill (by the way, you can't pay by card) with a flashlight. It's a shame because the location is very nice. Prices don't match the quality.

It's an exceptional bar, in an incomparable setting next to the Memmingen Canal. The food is delicious... watch out! The meatballs are super soft and spectacularly flavorful. The frankfurter is delicious, and the accompanying sourdough is for the most exquisite palate. For those who like strong sourness, it's typical of Germany (Bavarian-style cabbage). ESSENTIAL: BRING CASH. CARDS ARE NOT ACCEPTED. (Something they should inform customers about beforehand.)

Nice restaurant in the city center. Has a homely feel. It's very inconvenient that you can't pay with a debit card. In 2025, that's a very inconvenient thing.

Terrible experience...a girl of Asian origin...laughing, she welcomes me...but in front of the menu she tells me that almost nothing is available...I choose a small beer...she brings me another...which she then replaces...the dish I ordered arrives after 30 minutes...to call it terrible is to already give it a positive value...I ask for the bill...she tells me that they don't accept cards...without% I had said before...I go around to get the cash...I return and ask her for a receipt while I pay...she pushes me out of the restaurant saying that I don't have to pay but to leave....obviously I have documented everything...

A small family-run restaurant specializing in traditional Swabian cuisine. The menu isn’t very extensive, but it stays true to its niche and traditions. If you're looking for burgers, pizza, or fries – this isn't the place for that. We left feeling very full and overall satisfied. The atmosphere was great, with an authentic German vibe that made the experience even better. Expect to spend around €25 per person.

The landlord is - like the restaurant - an original and relaxed 👌🥳 The menu is manageable, the restaurant is simple, but we ate well in a cool atmosphere 👍.

When the tables outside by the stream were full, the host was always friendly and always had a joke on his lips.

The food was quite tasty. The beers are very good. The service was good and you really have a great time sitting by the river. The only drawback: You can't pay by card, so one point is deducted.

A real insider tip.. inside a clock-like, authentic room with art and cult.. sitting outside directly on the city stream has something of Strasbourg.. plus exquisite local wines/beers and the finest cuisine with the Swabian classics.. a real pleasure for under 20€

Old inn in Memmingen, where regulars meet and you can eat and drink.

This restaurant is cute and very characteristic and is located in a very old building, hence the only flaw I found was the bathroom, which was very inconvenient to access on a narrow staircase and which clattered when going up. If you are lucky enough to have a nice day and find a place, you can eat or drink outside its outdoor tables where the landscape is very beautiful. I tasted a tasty and hot goulash soup. The beers are freshly drafted and prepared with a good combination of flavours.

Have been there a few times. Very rustic, cozy and authentic restaurant in the heart of Memmingen run by friendly hosts. The menu is manageable. In return you get fresh, delicious Swabian specialties. Sometimes there are also culinary evenings where you can choose from fresh oysters, Chinese dumplings or a Portuguese menu. In any case, we will come more often ❤️

Die Eiche. Urig, rustikale Weinstube direkt am und überm Stadtbach. Gibt’s schon immer, und wird es hoffentlich auch immer geben. Memminger Institution. Einfache Küche wie Käßspätzle, Maultaschen und das Eichenbrot, aber mindestens so leckeres wie bei Oma 😋 Auf jeden Fall einen Besuch wert 👍

Gott sei Dank - die Eiche ist aus dem Urlaub zurück! Das urigste Lokal mit der besten Bedienung und kalten Getränken im heißen Sommer und wohlschmeckenden Gerichten ist heute ab 17:30 wieder geöffnet.

Die geheime Topadresse, mega urig, hat inzwischen Kultstatus, hier trifft sich bekannt und unbekannt zum lockeren Plausch, tolle gutbürgerliche Küche, lockeres perfektes freundliches Personal, immer wieder Musikevents im Wohnzimmerflair, Mane und Steffi wirklich begeisternde Gastgeber, wir sind oft und gerne hier!

Eine sehr gemütliche, stimmungsvolle kleine Weinstube, direkt am Memminger Stadtbach gelegen. Bei warmem Wetter kann man auch auf dem kleinen Brückle über den/ dem Forellenbach sitzen.
