The food is delicious and plentiful. The prices are also reasonable.

Homemade lemonade, espresso, the small appetizers and Köttbullar... everything to the point and balanced in taste. We'll definitely come back :)

I can't rate the food, the prices are normal, but not cheap either. The service was very friendly. There is a "color code" in the outside area - all the red tables belong to the restaurant opposite on the other side of the street, so we weren't served at first and sat outside wondering for 15 minutes.. strange concept

Everything was great, very tasty. Small menu with lots of delicacies. Very friendly and cozy. And the house limo is recommended.

We just wanted to go out and eat some ice cream and decided on the “strawberry ice cream cup”, which was priced at €8.50 on the menu. Since there were no pictures on the menu, we orientated ourselves on the name and – as usual – expected a beautifully presented ice cream sundae in a glass, as you would find in most ice cream parlors. However, we were served a very small portion with three scoops of ice cream, some cream, strawberry sauce and a few strawberry pieces - and not in a glass, but in a simple small bowl. In terms of taste, the ice cream was okay, but both the portion size and the presentation were disproportionate to the price. Overall, we found the portion disappointing and clearly overpriced at €8.50. The name “mug” and the lack of pictures on the card raised a completely different expectation, which unfortunately was not fulfilled. Ps: The same goes for the spaghetti ice cream, the portions are simply not enough for the price.

You know a little about Swedish food thanks to a furniture store. But here you get everything fresh and perfectly prepared. Great, delicious food. The service was super attentive and friendly. The ambience, Swedish, or just as you imagine it. Overall, an absolute recommendation!

It was our first time in Marburg and we followed the good recommendations and chose the restaurant. We weren't disappointed! I would particularly like to emphasize the friendliness of the staff. We were served really nicely and lovingly. I chose the Fiskgryta, which I really enjoyed; I wouldn't have complained if there was a little more on the pan :) but we were also very hungry. The ambience is very nice, especially inside. Great decision and if we go to Marburg again, we'll be happy to come back. vi ses snart

Waren heute zum angepriesen Osterfrühstück mit 4 Personen angemeldet und zwar drinnen, weil die Witterung ja zum Zeitpunkt der Anmeldung nicht absehbar war. Als wir dann da waren (haben mehr als eine Stunde Anfahrtszeit) sollten wir draußen frühstücken, weil drinnen nur noch ein Zweiertisch und auch das an ungünstiger Stelle, direkt wo alle zum Buffet durchliefen, frei war. Das nennt sich dann "sehr schöner Tisch" in der Anmeldebestätigung. Hatten keine Lust an Ostern, dem Fest des Friedens, lange zu diskutieren. Absolut unprofessionell und nicht zu empfehlen!

The restaurant is lovingly decorated and the service was very courteous. What I don't think is quite right is the price-performance ratio. The dishes are not particularly refined, but tend to be rather expensive.

It was our first time here and we weren't disappointed. Good food (something different), attentive service and a cozy atmosphere. Gladly again.

Very nicely decorated restaurant with a great selection of Swedish dishes. The Köttbullar were fantastic, the blueberry lemonade was delicious. I would have liked a little more attention from the service - our dessert order was initially forgotten and, when asked, only brought half an hour later.

Das Restaurant liegt zentral in der Marburger Innenstadt und macht vom der Einrichtung her einen auf schwedisch. Es ist gut besucht und damit wohl auch beliebt. Unserer erster Besuch verlief aber nicht so prikelnd. Wir bestellten zwei mal die Hauslimonade und einen Lumumba der laut Karte für 6 Eur heiß und mit 4 cl RUm serviert werden sollte. Hier kam die erste Enttäuschung. Die Tasse in der Größe einer 0,2 Liter Weinachtsmarkt Tasse war nur etwa zur Hälfte gefüllt. Vielleicht 0,12 Liter und der angerührte Kakao kaum lauwarm. Dei dieser geringen Menge waren auch nicht die 4 cl Rum herauszuschmecken. Auch hier hatte man wohl gespart. Für 6 Eur eine echte Enttäuschung!!! Mein Salat zu den Köttbullar kam weder vor noch zur Haupspeise sondern nur auf Nachfarge dann zum "Nachtisch". Meine Frau hatte einen Veggi-Burger mit Käse und die Speisen waren geschmacklich in Ordnung aber für 57 Eur mit dem Service und dem Lumumba überpreist. Man geht vielleicht doch besser wo anders hin.

Great food and exceptionally good service. There were 2 vegan main courses to choose from, I had the zucchini with cabbage and was very pleasantly surprised. I enjoyed the dish extremely well, vegan alternatives in restaurants often have substitute products, but that wasn't the case here. Hats off to the kitchen, I'll be happy to come back.

I know Edlunds as a “feel-good place” to which the cozy atmosphere, the people who work there and also the delicious food contribute. Today the impression was unfortunately somewhat different - the way a service staff treated us guests was ignorant and strange. Too bad.

Had a reservation. When we got there in the evening, our reservation was simply “forgotten” and there was no table for us. We were offered a very uncomfortable table right next to the bar without a place setting. The waitress said we can wait another 15 minutes to see if someone else doesn't show up. When all the tables were occupied after 15 minutes, the waitress told us very rudely that it wasn't her fault. No excuse for forgetting our reservation. Very unfriendly staff, would absolutely not recommend the restaurant for the prices.

As a provincial, I've never eaten Swedish before and the menu actually offers an interesting selection that you probably won't find everywhere. Since I only ate here once, I don't want my rating to be taken as representative of the entire menu. In my opinion, the food is good average, but not outstanding. Prices are just okay. The service is attentive and friendly. There is one minus point for the toilet. The staircase is designed so strangely that you run the risk of falling on your back when leaving the place. Contrary to my usual habit, I wasn't drunk and still almost lost my temper. Unfortunately, Google deleted the review from 2022 some time ago for reasons that were unclear.

The waitresses are very friendly and very attentive despite the restaurant being full. The food is very tasty, the 5 stars are more than deserved. When we are in Marburg again, we will definitely come back.

Lovingly furnished, cozy atmosphere. The food is outstanding! Creative, fresh, perfectly prepared, high quality, really a treat. The price is a bit higher, but that's definitely justified. The service was extremely friendly. The restaurant is also very dog-friendly. We always like to come.

Our evening in the Edmunds restaurant was a really successful one. Despite the house being fully booked, we were still able to get a table thanks to a flexible reservation option, which surprised us very positively. The atmosphere was particularly atmospheric in the run-up to Christmas, with appropriate music and tasteful decorations. Overall, the service was friendly, attentive and efficient, contributing to an all-round enjoyable experience.

I always enjoy going to Edlunds when I'm in Marburg. It immediately gives you that homely 'Swedish feeling', especially like yesterday during Advent when the Christmas market is outside. Be sure to try the vegan Rostad squash and waffles! Nice service! Not looking forward to the next time.

A beautifully decorated restaurant in the middle of Marburg's upper town. The service really sees itself as a host: friendly, attentive, gives great recommendations without being intrusive and was always there as soon as something was missing. As a starter I had three delicious variations of herbed herring, köttbullar and salmon, which were served in small tapas bowls, and as a main course I had a wonderfully tender, medium rare fried piece of saddle of elk with porcini mushroom sauce, apple chutney and seasonal vegetables. The meat on point and put together in a delicious, creative dish - great!

I have been visiting the restaurant for 8 years and I really enjoy being here! The food is always delicious and there is a good selection of vegetarian/vegan dishes. My absolute favorite is the goat cheese burger!!! The service is always very friendly and attentive. Edlunds is always busy, so a reservation is helpful, at least in the evenings.

Ich war zum ersten Mal im Edlunds - und bin total begeistert. Super freundliches und zuvorkommendes Personal, ein leckeres Frühstücksbuffet, sehr guter Kaffee und ein toller Smoothie. Gern komme ich wieder mal zum Frühstück, aber sicher werde ich auch mal die Hauptspeisen kosten.

The food is really very good. Unfortunately, the good impression was completely ruined today by a male waitress. A very forced conversation was set up that was extremely awkward. He leafed through the menu at our table for minutes without taking our order. Very strange...Our children (7 and 5 years old) were offered coffee (which was hopefully just a joke), I was told (when I wanted to summarize the kids' order again) in a very unfriendly tone that I couldn't translate he would have to understand the children. My husband was then told, when he was the last one of us to order a waffle, that he didn't need any, he could eat the kids' leftovers... The waffles were super tasty and so were the female waiters and a male waiter behind them The counter was very friendly, but unfortunately this very unpleasant situation no longer made you feel comfortable. In a few days we actually want to go back to Edlunds with friends, but I think we'll look for another restaurant then.

I enjoyed the location and the friendly service. However, the ice cream coffee was quite disappointing. The ice cream had ice crystals, and the coffee was overly bitter and watery. Sadly, it only looked good...

On October 5th, 2024 we rode into Edlunds for the 4th time, this time for dinner...otherwise to drink, eat ice cream and waffles. On every visit the staff was super nice and the food was very good.👍🏼. But yesterday it was just a hit in the bag. The food was simply great, as were the recommended drinks and the entire team... especially Philipp at the bar and Katja in service were simply brilliant. Thank you for the great evening. We'd love to come back (for a "Pale Ale" (insider).🤭 To the entire team "please stay as you are, because you're just great like that" and please have more staff like that in the restaurant. You're happy to pay for that Money. We had booked a table for the Swedish “Frukost-Bord” on Sunday. This brunch starts at 9 a.m., we had reserved for 9:30 a.m. when there was still little going on. After 10 a.m. it became very crowded. Antipasti, cheese, salmon, jam, sausage, scrambled eggs, cereals, salad and much more. The selection was plentiful and tasty. Be sure to reserve.

We were here with a group of nine girls and wanted to eat ice cream in this lovely restaurant. A friendly female waiter offered us a table where the guests were just wanted to leave. We stood there for a moment and waited. A male service worker told us very rudely that we were in the way and that we should wait outside for a quarter of an hour. Of course we didn't do that. This person doesn't belong in a restaurant. Sorry. It's a shame because we would have liked to give a better rating. Get well soon and then good business. 🍀

Design and Atmosphere are amazing very cozy and simple. We did not have a reservation, busy Sunday however they managed to accommodate us. I have to admit that waiting is a challenge however all restaurants that we have visited are the same. It was my first time in Marburg this after the weekend, my assumption is that people here don’t rush. Food was amazingly melting in our mouths. My son ate everything and that is not common. I was close to licking up my plate. Even so simple thing as camomile yea was made with real flowers… so delicious. If I will ever visit this city again, this restaurant will be on my to do list. Loved everything.

A small, sweet restaurant where the atmosphere is right, the food is cooked with a lot of love and the staff was super personable and friendly...The food was excellent and tasted very good...I can really recommend it with a clear conscience...

It's one of my favorites. Great location, good food, friendly staff. And you can pay by card. Coming back after two years.... I still love it, but why are the potatoes in the köttbullar whole? Like, why?! köttbullar is with mashed potatoes, not baked potatoes. I ate it all, though.

We actually had reserved a table (only possible inside). When we arrived at Edlunds on the last day of the open air cinema, we were immediately offered a table outside. The service was very nice and accommodating. The zander fillet, which was expensive in my opinion, would not appease a strong appetite, but it tasted very good! My wife treated herself to the delicious Get-Ost Burgare Veggie Burger. It was very tasty with the goat cheese! We thought the side of fries was super crispy. In short: the ambience is good, the service is great, the toilets are clean given how busy it is. We would be happy to come back. Is recommended!

Wonderful Swedish restaurant. A very special welcome atmosphere awaits visitors. A very friendly service team has a particularly warm manner. The customer immediately feels like they are in good hands here. At today's brunch we were treated to delicious delicacies. Today we had Edlunds almost to ourselves with a large group and enjoyed an excellent brunch. The Köttbullar were just as sensational as the homemade raspberry smoothie.

Very nice and cozy Swedish restaurant with lots of delicious food and drinks and a super friendly team, sit down and feel good.

The experience at Edlunds was perfect from start to finish. The ambience is classic cool, the staff were amazing and the breakfast buffet was delicious and plentiful. And the location is of course perfect, right on the market place. We were a big group of about 40 and the entire experience went off without a single ripple. One of those kind of dining experiences that you remember for a long time. Thank you Edlunds!!

A very special breakfast buffet with Swedish delicacies in a particularly cozy atmosphere. The selection of food was great and super tasty, the staff was totally attentive and the restaurant was simply uncomfortable with a lot of Swedish flair in the middle of the market square in the upper town. The view outside was enchanting. Highly recommended 😉

Despite dialectically-related initial confusion with a Viennese right-wing extremist when reserving a table by telephone 🥺, I was warmly welcomed and was able to enjoy a breakfast buffet that left nothing to be desired. The service was also special, giving this Sunday morning an even friendlier face than it already had. I'll be happy to come back the next time I visit Marburg!

Went to Edlunds again after a long time. It used to be the place for good breakfast and waffles. Went for brunch on the weekend. We were surprised at first because there wasn't much going on. The reason for this became apparent in the food and the service: across the board it seemed careless and as cheap as possible. Neither the selection (very small) nor the quality (low) matched the estimated 20 euros per person. Plus unfriendly service. It's a shame—Edlunds used to always stand out from the other restaurants on the market square. Now it seems to be completely dedicated to ripping off tourists.

Good food, very attentive and friendly service, but still has some room for improvement.

The problem with this store is that when I wanted to pay by card, an employee said that it was possible, but shortly afterwards said that I couldn't pay by card. A second problem is that the prices are outrageously expensive and the employees want to cheat you out of your change if you don't know math.

We really enjoy eating at Edlunds. The food is of very good quality and tastes very good. Unfortunately the portions have become smaller, so we weren't full again.

Had ice cream from window sales. The ice cream was mediocre, the service was unfriendly, no hello, no thank you, no goodbye, and when I was only able to pay with a €10 note, I was asked an annoyed question as to whether I had any change. Then after forever rummaging around I got change, all cent coins. Won't come back

Food was great, service was great but it felt like I had to wait 10 hours for the food that I almost left. That's why I'll never come back here even though the food is so damn good 😔

The restaurant was always very busy from lunchtime onwards, so we made a reservation. We were rewarded for this; we had a quiet table with the best view of the town hall. The food came very quickly, the appetizer plate in particular was excellent, and the price was justified. The staff was very friendly.

Wir wurden freundlich begrüßt und das Restaurant hat sehr viel Charme. Das Essen hat uns wenig überzeugt. Für uns war es auch nicht wirklich schwedisch. Alles sehr fad und wir haben zweimal etwas anderes bekommen als bestellt. Weil die Zubereitung recht lange gedauert hat, haben wir es dann so genommen. Leider waren wir enttäuscht. Der Service war freundlich aber recht langsam. Schade, besonders vom Essen hatten wir uns mehr versprochen.

I was there with my girlfriend. The pike perch I served was cold and not even lukewarm. I criticized it immediately. He was taken to the kitchen to be examined. The cook measured it. Apparently it had reached the core temperature with the excuse that it was only cold because the cold cucumber salad was placed in the middle of the fish. However, I tried the fish on the side where there was no cucumber salad. Then I lost my appetite. I didn't want to eat this fish anymore and didn't want to be offered to take it home because otherwise it would be destroyed. Luckily I ordered a portion of fries and then I ate them. When I billed, I was charged 31.oo euros for the fish, but the fries were waived as a gesture of goodwill. I work in customer service myself and have lived in America for a long time and I know from my own experience that customer service can look different. Was rather disappointed with the service. Nevertheless, I still tipped 5 euros for a bill of 59.60 euros for two people. It was a disappointment our birthday dinner at Edlund. The tablecloth was also very dirty!!!

It's great to be out here on warm days. The service is top. Very attentive, quick and nice. I can absolutely recommend the chocolate brownie. Really great, especially with the ice cream that comes with it. There is also homemade lemonade here that you are welcome to try.

The staff were super nice and the seating was very nice. Our dogs were immediately brought a bowl of water without asking! Very attentive!!!!

Ein Lokal, in dem man sich als Gast wirklich willkommen fühlt! Die Servicekräfte sind total freundlich, das Essen mordslecker und man kann herrlich entspannt auf den wunderbaren Marburger Marktplatz blicken.

Interesting "Location" in the historic center, difficult not to notice. But when I write and offer "Brunch" it is not intended only as self-service, but rather a buffet is offered with hot and temperature products which contain the meaning of breakfast and lunch together, this was not offered, just a good and abundant buffet breakfast with very limited seating. Very professional and smiling staff, congratulations 👍

The decision to give the Swedish restaurant Edlunds 5 stars is not difficult. During our stay in Marburg, me and my wife had two breakfasts and one dinner in the restaurant. We felt very comfortable every time. We were served very friendly and are impressed by the quality of the food. We were also able to compare the performance with other local restaurants. It's a shame that we don't have a restaurant like this on our doorstep at home.
