I have been visiting the restaurant for 8 years and I really enjoy being here! The food is always delicious and there is a good selection of vegetarian/vegan dishes. My absolute favorite is the goat cheese burger!!! The service is always very friendly and attentive. Edlunds is always busy, so a reservation is helpful, at least in the evenings.

Dedicated staff, great breakfast!

A really welcoming place. We were there for the breakfast buffet. An extensive and very tasty offer! What is clearly worth mentioning is the really outstandingly friendly and courteous service from the employees! A special thank you for this! We will be happy to come back 🫶🏻

Ich war zum ersten Mal im Edlunds - und bin total begeistert. Super freundliches und zuvorkommendes Personal, ein leckeres Frühstücksbuffet, sehr guter Kaffee und ein toller Smoothie. Gern komme ich wieder mal zum Frühstück, aber sicher werde ich auch mal die Hauptspeisen kosten.

Super friendly staff, very tasty breakfast, great coffee.

The food is really very good. Unfortunately, the good impression was completely ruined today by a male waitress. A very forced conversation was set up that was extremely awkward. He leafed through the menu at our table for minutes without taking our order. Very strange...Our children (7 and 5 years old) were offered coffee (which was hopefully just a joke), I was told (when I wanted to summarize the kids' order again) in a very unfriendly tone that I couldn't translate he would have to understand the children. My husband was then told, when he was the last one of us to order a waffle, that he didn't need any, he could eat the kids' leftovers... The waffles were super tasty and so were the female waiters and a male waiter behind them The counter was very friendly, but unfortunately this very unpleasant situation no longer made you feel comfortable. In a few days we actually want to go back to Edlunds with friends, but I think we'll look for another restaurant then.

Delicious food and very nice service 👍

I enjoyed the location and the friendly service. However, the ice cream coffee was quite disappointing. The ice cream had ice crystals, and the coffee was overly bitter and watery. Sadly, it only looked good...

On October 5th, 2024 we rode into Edlunds for the 4th time, this time for dinner...otherwise to drink, eat ice cream and waffles. On every visit the staff was super nice and the food was very good.👍🏼. But yesterday it was just a hit in the bag. The food was simply great, as were the recommended drinks and the entire team... especially Philipp at the bar and Katja in service were simply brilliant. Thank you for the great evening. We'd love to come back (for a "Pale Ale" (insider).🤭 To the entire team "please stay as you are, because you're just great like that" and please have more staff like that in the restaurant. You're happy to pay for that Money. We had booked a table for the Swedish “Frukost-Bord” on Sunday. This brunch starts at 9 a.m., we had reserved for 9:30 a.m. when there was still little going on. After 10 a.m. it became very crowded. Antipasti, cheese, salmon, jam, sausage, scrambled eggs, cereals, salad and much more. The selection was plentiful and tasty. Be sure to reserve.

We were here with a group of nine girls and wanted to eat ice cream in this lovely restaurant. A friendly female waiter offered us a table where the guests were just wanted to leave. We stood there for a moment and waited. A male service worker told us very rudely that we were in the way and that we should wait outside for a quarter of an hour. Of course we didn't do that. This person doesn't belong in a restaurant. Sorry. It's a shame because we would have liked to give a better rating. Get well soon and then good business. 🍀

Delicious, brilliant service on a busy Friday. Vorspeisen Teller is a must

Design and Atmosphere are amazing very cozy and simple. We did not have a reservation, busy Sunday however they managed to accommodate us. I have to admit that waiting is a challenge however all restaurants that we have visited are the same. It was my first time in Marburg this after the weekend, my assumption is that people here don’t rush. Food was amazingly melting in our mouths. My son ate everything and that is not common. I was close to licking up my plate. Even so simple thing as camomile yea was made with real flowers… so delicious. If I will ever visit this city again, this restaurant will be on my to do list. Loved everything.

A small, sweet restaurant where the atmosphere is right, the food is cooked with a lot of love and the staff was super personable and friendly...The food was excellent and tasted very good...I can really recommend it with a clear conscience...

It's one of my favorites. Great location, good food, friendly staff. And you can pay by card. Coming back after two years.... I still love it, but why are the potatoes in the köttbullar whole? Like, why?! köttbullar is with mashed potatoes, not baked potatoes. I ate it all, though.

We ate here with four people and were very satisfied. Delicious dishes and friendly staff. That's how it should be.

We actually had reserved a table (only possible inside). When we arrived at Edlunds on the last day of the open air cinema, we were immediately offered a table outside. The service was very nice and accommodating. The zander fillet, which was expensive in my opinion, would not appease a strong appetite, but it tasted very good! My wife treated herself to the delicious Get-Ost Burgare Veggie Burger. It was very tasty with the goat cheese! We thought the side of fries was super crispy. In short: the ambience is good, the service is great, the toilets are clean given how busy it is. We would be happy to come back. Is recommended!

Top grade! The Scandinavian breakfast buffet completely convinced us and the vegetarian selection is really nothing to sneeze at. Fresh and tasty, friendly and well cared for. The apple and rhubarb cakes are also highly recommended. Thank you very much!

Today we had Edlunds almost to ourselves with a large group and enjoyed an excellent brunch. The Köttbullar were just as sensational as the homemade raspberry smoothie.

The experience at Edlunds was perfect from start to finish. The ambience is classic cool, the staff were amazing and the breakfast buffet was delicious and plentiful. And the location is of course perfect, right on the market place. We were a big group of about 40 and the entire experience went off without a single ripple. One of those kind of dining experiences that you remember for a long time. Thank you Edlunds!!

We had a delicious breakfast there today with a large group (approx. 40 people). The buffet was incredibly tasty and the staff was very nice and accommodating. Great sweet Swedish atmosphere. Full recommendation!!!

A very special breakfast buffet with Swedish delicacies in a particularly cozy atmosphere. The selection of food was great and super tasty, the staff was totally attentive and the restaurant was simply uncomfortable with a lot of Swedish flair in the middle of the market square in the upper town. The view outside was enchanting. Highly recommended 😉

Wonderful Swedish restaurant. A very special welcome atmosphere awaits visitors. A very friendly service team has a particularly warm manner. The customer immediately feels like they are in good hands here. At today's brunch we were treated to delicious delicacies. Despite dialectically-related initial confusion with a Viennese right-wing extremist when reserving a table by telephone 🥺, I was warmly welcomed and was able to enjoy a breakfast buffet that left nothing to be desired. The service was also special, giving this Sunday morning an even friendlier face than it already had. I'll be happy to come back the next time I visit Marburg!

Went to Edlunds again after a long time. It used to be the place for good breakfast and waffles. Went for brunch on the weekend. We were surprised at first because there wasn't much going on. The reason for this became apparent in the food and the service: across the board it seemed careless and as cheap as possible. Neither the selection (very small) nor the quality (low) matched the estimated 20 euros per person. Plus unfriendly service. It's a shame—Edlunds used to always stand out from the other restaurants on the market square. Now it seems to be completely dedicated to ripping off tourists.

Good food, very attentive and friendly service, but still has some room for improvement.

The problem with this store is that when I wanted to pay by card, an employee said that it was possible, but shortly afterwards said that I couldn't pay by card. A second problem is that the prices are outrageously expensive and the employees want to cheat you out of your change if you don't know math.

We really enjoy eating at Edlunds. The food is of very good quality and tastes very good. Unfortunately the portions have become smaller, so we weren't full again.

Had ice cream from window sales. The ice cream was mediocre, the service was unfriendly, no hello, no thank you, no goodbye, and when I was only able to pay with a €10 note, I was asked an annoyed question as to whether I had any change. Then after forever rummaging around I got change, all cent coins. Won't come back

Food was great, service was great but it felt like I had to wait 10 hours for the food that I almost left. That's why I'll never come back here even though the food is so damn good 😔

Wir haben am Muttertag bei strahlendem Sonnenschein Marburg einen kurzen Besuch abgestattet. Wollten eine Kleinigkeit essen und sind im Edlunds gelandet. Gemütliches Ambiente, sehr nettes Personal und das Essen lecker. Alles richtig gemacht 😊

The restaurant was always very busy from lunchtime onwards, so we made a reservation. We were rewarded for this; we had a quiet table with the best view of the town hall. The food came very quickly, the appetizer plate in particular was excellent, and the price was justified. The staff was very friendly.

Wir wurden freundlich begrüßt und das Restaurant hat sehr viel Charme. Das Essen hat uns wenig überzeugt. Für uns war es auch nicht wirklich schwedisch. Alles sehr fad und wir haben zweimal etwas anderes bekommen als bestellt. Weil die Zubereitung recht lange gedauert hat, haben wir es dann so genommen. Leider waren wir enttäuscht. Der Service war freundlich aber recht langsam. Schade, besonders vom Essen hatten wir uns mehr versprochen.

I was there with my girlfriend. The pike perch I served was cold and not even lukewarm. I criticized it immediately. He was taken to the kitchen to be examined. The cook measured it. Apparently it had reached the core temperature with the excuse that it was only cold because the cold cucumber salad was placed in the middle of the fish. However, I tried the fish on the side where there was no cucumber salad. Then I lost my appetite. I didn't want to eat this fish anymore and didn't want to be offered to take it home because otherwise it would be destroyed. Luckily I ordered a portion of fries and then I ate them. When I billed, I was charged 31.oo euros for the fish, but the fries were waived as a gesture of goodwill. I work in customer service myself and have lived in America for a long time and I know from my own experience that customer service can look different. Was rather disappointed with the service. Nevertheless, I still tipped 5 euros for a bill of 59.60 euros for two people. It was a disappointment our birthday dinner at Edlund. The tablecloth was also very dirty!!!

The staff were super nice and the seating was very nice. Our dogs were immediately brought a bowl of water without asking! Very attentive!!!!

It's great to be out here on warm days. The service is top. Very attentive, quick and nice. I can absolutely recommend the chocolate brownie. Really great, especially with the ice cream that comes with it. There is also homemade lemonade here that you are welcome to try.

Interesting "Location" in the historic center, difficult not to notice. But when I write and offer "Brunch" it is not intended only as self-service, but rather a buffet is offered with hot and temperature products which contain the meaning of breakfast and lunch together, this was not offered, just a good and abundant buffet breakfast with very limited seating. Very professional and smiling staff, congratulations 👍

The decision to give the Swedish restaurant Edlunds 5 stars is not difficult. During our stay in Marburg, me and my wife had two breakfasts and one dinner in the restaurant. We felt very comfortable every time. We were served very friendly and are impressed by the quality of the food. We were also able to compare the performance with other local restaurants. It's a shame that we don't have a restaurant like this on our doorstep at home.

We were at Edlunds on Friday evening (March 29th). We had called shortly before and were able to reserve a table and although it was actually only until 8 p.m., we were able to manage to stay longer. All of our expectations were exceeded. Katja's service was amazing! We have rarely experienced such a warm, funny and courteous service person. We will come back just because of her. But the food was also incredibly good. We had vegan as well as fish and meat dishes - everything was more than convincing! The ambience adds the final touch so that you don't want to leave this restaurant. You guys are great! Many thanks from the vegan from Cologne plus family at the round table :-)

To start with, the food is world class and corresponds to the restaurant's motto, Scandinavian cuisine. You can tell that the kitchen staff knows their craft. The Swedish-style decoration goes very well with it and is really successful. Now we come to the negative, namely the non-existent service, which unfortunately completely ruins the whole thing. At the beginning we had the staff come to our table and take our drink requests. Then the drinks were put in front of us without a word, and I had to go to the counter to order something to eat. When we got the food, the drinks were empty and we weren't even asked if we wanted to drink anything else. Then the plates were empty and we sat and sat and after half an hour, as a GUEST, I brought my empty plate to the front and said that we would be happy to pay. I have been self-employed in the catering industry for 15 years with branches in Austria and Germany. I've never experienced anything like that in any restaurant and we won't be back.

10/10. It's been a long time since I've been to such a great restaurant with even warmer service! The food was also very tasty and there is a great vegetarian/vegan selection. A “must-do” when you are in Marburg.

At first glance, 5 stars make a somewhat euphoric impression, but in my opinion they are 100% justified. I've been a guest a few times now and am always impressed by the delicious food. Why 5 stars? I was in Stockholm and visited pretty much every Kötbulla hotspot there. From the traditional “Kvarnen” to “Meatballs for the People” and I have to say here, in beautiful Marburg, there is the best Kötbulla I have ever eaten! The sauce is excellent, as is the quality of the ingredients. In terms of price, I think the restaurant is fair, especially when you take into account the general quality and the location on the market square. 55€ for TWO people including drinks, salad and Kötbulla for this quality is, in my opinion, an excellent price-performance ratio! The service is pleasant, relaxed and courteous. The open kitchen is also a highlight; transparency and cleanliness are always welcome. The interior design is beautiful, colorful and relaxed. I would say Swedish! All in all, a highly recommended restaurant and a “hidden gem” in Marburg. I will gladly come again!

Even in 2019, the breakfast buffet was a real highlight and the boss was very hard-working and attentive. But now we have had very negative experiences: reservation was messed up, waiting time for breakfast was 40 minutes. Nobody is perfect, we are all human and things like that can happen. But then to respond to factually expressed criticism with the words “we’re not right for each other” strikes me as absolute impudence. And this from the restaurant manager in the supposedly “colorful” city of Marburg.

I've been going to Edlunds for years and have always been amazed by the high level of cuisine here. I was always willing to pay significantly more for this than anywhere else. Because I always went home with a smile... Today I was there again after a long time and was bitterly disappointed! I've never left a restaurant as hungry as I am today. And that even though I even had a (shared) bread basket with dips as a starter. If a vegan dish costs €20 and comes without any filling side dish, then you have to be served at least a slightly more filling portion of dacon. But there were just two mini pieces of the actual main component (mashed zucchini) and some mushrooms, carrots, beans, onions and cauliflower. Nothing that fills you up. No potatoes or anything. You really had to look for the braised cabbage from the oven advertised on the menu with a magnifying glass. There used to be a whole quarter of pointed cabbage there. I don't understand why the dish costs the same as a burger with a good piece of goat cheese and fries. Just a few cheap vegetables and a touch of sauce. 20€! Even though the crust on the zucchini was extremely tasty, it was an absolute no-go in terms of price/performance ratio. The waiter responded understandably to my honest criticism. But I would have liked something more to come from such a top restaurant than "yes, there really isn't that much to fill you up". Then just symbolically fill up my bread basket again or give me some fries. Then I would have gone home a little more reconciled. Unfortunately, I have completely lost my desire to visit again. Please decide: increase prices or make portions smaller. But not both at the same time! ...

Culinary art to perfection with extremely attentive service that guarantees a successful evening.

Sehr "hyggelig" eingerichtet, freundlicher Service und leckeres nordisches Essen. Das Lachs-Tartar und das Rindfleisch mit Rübenmus köstlich, geschmacklich ausgewogene Aromen, die sich hervorragend ergänzten. Schweden in Marburg - außergewöhnlich gut gelungen!

Leider war unser Besuch etwas ernüchternd. Dem Kellner war mein Trinkgeld zu wenig. Ich fühlte mich sehr beschämt. Außerdem wollte er unseren 14 jährigen Töchtern Alkohol anbieten. Ich fand es sehr grenzwertig. Da ich aufgrund dieser "Erlebnisse" zu "schockiert" um nach dem Beleg zu fragen, fiel mehr erst auf dem Rückweg auf, dass ich außerdem 20,-€ zuviel abgezogen bekommen habe. Alles in allem wurde so der tolle Tagin Marburg, dass wunderbare Ambiente und das leckere Essen in ein trauriges Licht gestellt.

Es herrscht eine tolle entspannte Wohlfühlatmosphäre - super Service und sehr gutes Essen - man kann sich dort einfach nur pudelwohl fühlen

Gutes Restaurant mit sehr leckeren Essen. Qualität und Geschmack sind sehr gut. Der Preis ist dafür auch wirklich hoch und die Portion kleiner. Service war gemischt ein Kellner war super freundlich und charmant, dafür die Kellnerin mürrisch und mies drauf... Es war auch leider etwas sehr eng.

Ambiente: das Edlund hat eine tolle gemütliche Einrichtung, bei der man sich sofort wohl fühlt. Richtig heimelig! Essen: wir haben zwar nur Waffeln gegessen, die waren aber der totale Hammer. Die Auswahl ist riesig und für jeden Geschmack findet sich was. Die Hauptspeisen auf den Nachbartischen sahen ebenfalls sehr lecker aus. Einfach mal selber probieren. Personal: super nettes und aufmerksames Personal. Hier gibt man gern Trinkgeld. Preise: für Qualität und Menge sehr fair. Fazit: hier kann man gemütlich einen Kaffee genießen oder auch mit der gesamten Familie essen. Gutes Essen bei fairen Preisen und gemütlichem Flair.

Sehr leckeres Essen und schönes Ambiente, allerdings war die Kellnerin die uns bedient hat äußert unfreundlich. Kein guten Tag/Verabschiedung, bei vergessenem Essen keine Entschuldigung etc. Sehr schade - das andere Servicepersonal wirkte allerdings bedeutsam kompetenter.

Wir waren auf der Durchreise und haben einen kurzen Stop in Marburg gemacht. Waren im Edlunds mit unseren zwei kleinen Kindern essen. Das Essen war hervorragend und genug um absolut satt zu sein. Preis-Leistung ist definitiv gerechtfertigt. Das Personal war extrem nett, sehr schnell und nicht gestresst, trotz vollem Haus. Die Atmosphäre war richtig schön und wir haben das Restaurant direkt einer Freundin empfohlen, die regelmäßig in Marburg ist.

Was ein Gaumenschmaus!! Tolles Personal, lustig, freundlich,einfach Klasse.

Essen ist sehr lecker und die Miarbeiter sind super freundlich, so einen Service hab ich ehrlich jetzt noch nirgendwo sonst gehabt :)

Es ist eines dieser Restaurants, in das man nicht allein der Nahrungsaufnahme wegen geht. Hier kommt man zweifellos her wegen des hervorragenden Essens, aber eben auch wegen der besonderen Herzlichkeit und wegen des Gefühls, als sei man bei Freunden zu Besuch. Für uns ein festes Date bei einem Marburg-Besuch.

Sehr schönes Restaurant mitten am Marktplatz. Kann das Essen, vor allem den veganen Burger mit Pilzen und die warmen Waffeln mit Eis wärmstens empfehlen.

Ich hatte für meine kleine Hochzeitsgesellschaft einen Tisch reserviert. Von der Planung am Telefon bis zum Besuch vor Ort war das Edlunds-Team sehr professionell und lösungsorientiert. Essen und Service waren extrem stark, alle Gäste waren sehr zufrieden. Auch die Lage am Marktplatz ist wirklich super. Ich bin froh, mich fürs Edlunds entschieden zu haben und komme gern wieder.
