Willkommene Rast während der Seeumrundung mit dem Rad. Schmackhaftes Essen und ein sehr eifriger Kellner. Sogar das Handy durften wir während des Aufenthalts nachladen. Die Sicht über den Edersee ist traumhaft

Wir hatten einen sehr schönen Aufenthalt in der Edersee Alm. Die Lage ist einfach fantastisch – der Ausblick auf den Edersee ist beeindruckend und lädt zum Verweilen ein. Besonders bei gutem Wetter kann man die wunderschöne Umgebung in entspannter Atmosphäre genießen. Das Essen war frisch zubereitet, geschmackvoll und liebevoll angerichtet. Man merkt, dass auf Qualität und frische Zutaten Wert gelegt wird. Die Auswahl auf der Speisekarte bietet für verschiedene Geschmäcker etwas Passendes. Auch der Service war freundlich, aufmerksam und zuvorkommend. Trotz des Besucherandrangs fühlten wir uns gut betreut und willkommen. Insgesamt ein rundum gelungener Besuch mit toller Aussicht, leckerem Essen und angenehmer Atmosphäre. Wir kommen gerne wieder und können die Edersee Alm uneingeschränkt weiterempfehlen

Gemütliches Restaurant, das zum Verweilen einlädt. Leider Schnitzel mit Pulversoße für 18 €. Das ist kein gutes Preis-Leistungs-Verhältnis. Der Service ist in Ordnung.

Wir waren schon das zweite Mal hier. Toller Service, klasse Ausblick auf den Edersee und super leckeres Essen mit großen Portionen. Sehr zu empfehlen.

Das Essen war wirklich hervorragen alles frisch, super gewürzt und einfach richtig lecker. Man merkt, dass hier mit Qualität gearbeitet wird. Auch der Service war top: freundlich, aufmerksam und schnell, ohne aufdringlich zu sein. Man fühlt sich direkt wohl. Komme auf jeden Fall gerne wieder!

Wir hatten Ameisen auf dem Teller als wir Ketchup nachbestellt haben. Die Bedienung war davon wenig beeindruckt, was uns sehr erschrocken hat. Zudem war dies zweimal der Fall, dass mehrere Ameisen auf einem Teller krabbelten. Hinzu kommt, dass man nur an der Straße parken kann und die Gerichte der einzelnen Personen zu verschiedenen Zeitpunkten geliefert wurden. Der eine war dann schon halb mit dem Essen fertig, nachdem die anderen Teller serviert wurden. Daneben wurde ein Gericht zuerst falsch geliefert. Der Service war sehr schlecht. Es gibt bessere Restaurants in der Umgebung.

Als jemand, der beruflich viel reist und häufig auswärts isst, kann ich sagen: Dieser Besuch war mit Abstand einer der besten der letzten Jahre. Das Essen war frisch, hervorragend zubereitet und geschmacklich absolut auf den Punkt. Die Aussicht ist einmalig und macht das Erlebnis zusätzlich besonders. Besonders hervorzuheben ist auch das Personal – äußerst aufmerksam, freundlich und fachlich sehr kompetent. Ich komme ganz sicher wieder und freue mich schon darauf, das Restaurant auch Freunden zu empfehlen

Das ist ein Geheimtipp.Es liegt oberhalb vom Wohnmobilpark.Es gibt keine Zufahrt.Man muss hoch laufen.Aber es lohnt sich.Der Blick zum Edersee znd Schloss Waldeck.Das Essen ist Megalecker.

Das Essen war wirklich sehr lecker und frisch zubereitet. Die Atmosphäre ist gemütlich und man fühlt sich direkt wohl. Wir kommen auf jeden Fall wieder.

Die Lage ist einfach traumhaft und lädt zum Entspannen ein. Dazu kommt eine sehr gute Küche mit tollen Gerichten. Insgesamt ein super Erlebnis.

Aufgrund der guten Rezensionen bin ich hier eingekehrt. Ich hatte die überregional bekannte Haxe mit laut Karte Semmelknödeln. Die Haxe war so lala und anscheinend für eine Kinderportion vorgesehen, zwei Tische weiter kamen kurz darauf Haxen für Erwachsene; meine Haxe war obendrein auch noch sehr trocken. Schade... Semmelknödel waren es dann auch nicht, sondern ganz einfache Kochbeutel-Kartoffelklöße. Die dazugereichte Soße war ganz sicher auch Tüte. Vorweg hatten wir die Vorspeisenplatte für fast 17 Euro. Da habe ich mich wirklich gefragt, was da 17 Euro gekostet hat. Ganze 5 Oliven, 3x gefüllte Weinblätter, ein bisschen Salat, Gurke, ... und größtenteils Tzatziki. Ganz ulkig war, dass der Kellner alle Gäste nebeneinander gesetzt hat und der Gastraum dadurch sehe leer blieb. Es war meistens Totenstille, da hat sich niemand unterhalten. Es wäre wohl für alle angenehmer gewesen, etwas für sich zu sitzen... Nunja, ich werde nicht wieder hier einkehren.

Wir haben für eine Übernachtung auf dem Wohnmobilstellplatz unter der Ederseealm gestanden und sind abends dann dort auch in das Restaurant Edersee-Alm Essen gegangen. Der Gastraum, der ganz in Holz ausgestattet ist und mit tollen Deckenlampen , die aus alten Wagenrädern gefertigt sind, war sehr gemütlich. Da nicht viel Betrieb war, wurden wir schnell bedient und auch das Essen war schnell da. Unser Jäger-und Paprikaschnitzel mit Pommes waren zwar gut und reichlich, jedoch ohne Salat, bei einem Preis von 17,90€, naja, muss man sich halt dran gewöhnen. Extra hinfahren zum Essen würden wir jedoch nicht. Das wir unseren Hund nicht mitnehmen konnten war für uns kein Problem.

Das Biergulasch und das Putensteack waren ok. Die Almhaxe war extrem trocken - nicht lecker.

Hunde sind nicht erlaubt!!!! Der Ganze Laden war leer und wir durften mit unseren Hund nicht rein!!! Sie können ihr Essen selbst essen, wenn sie keine Gäste nötig haben!!! Nicht zu empfehlen

Ein gemütliches Restaurant mit Blick auf den Edersee. Das griechische Essen, wir u.a. Bifteki, war sehr lecker und die Portionen waren absolut ausreichend. Leider war die Bedienung etwas lustlos, ansonsten hätte er den ein oder anderen Absacker mehr an den Mann bringen können. Trotzdem würde ich jederzeit wieder kommen um noch einmal dort zu essen.

Leeres Lokal, aber Hunde sind nicht erlaubt ….

Haxe war Klasse, und der Griechische Salat auch. Urige Hütte, nur die Hunde Besitzer können im Wintergarten sitzen LG Peter und Gaby

Hier kann man super essen. Waren mit Womo dort. Alles super sauber und gepflegt. 1aStellplatz. Gehen auch 12 Meter. 👍😉 Für Hundebesitzer gibt es draußen Tische.

Traumhafter Ort mit super Blick von der Terrasse auf den Edersee und die Burg Waldeck. Sehr freunlicher Service, sehr gutes Essen. Das Holzhaus/Alm einfach super schön.

Richtig unhöflicher Besitzer und ein Schwarzgeld Domizil. Habe freundlich gefragt wieso man hier nicht bar zahlen kann und darauf wurde mir gesagt ich "muss Geld haben und das bekommt man auf einer Bank". Offensichtlich hatte der Besitzer aber Kartenlesegeräte da. Eigentümer verhält sich sehr herablassend ggü. Gästen und gibt einem das Gefühl dumm zu sein. Essen war wenn dann nur vergleichbar mit einer Currywurst im Freibad, was bei dem Koch kein Wunder ist. Verschwitzt in einer kleinen Küche schniefend. Ekelhaft!! Zu aller letzt verlangt man hier Preise wie im Fine Dining Restaurant, kann aber wie gesagt nur bar bezahlen. Wer hat um Gottes Willen bei einem camping Urlaub 300€ bar dabei. Absolut nicht zu empfehlen!!!

Wir waren dort bereits Essen und haben dort eine Feier mit rund 40 Personen dort gehabt. Service und Essen waren wirklich sehr gut. Der Chef ist sehr freundlich und zuvorkommend. Das Preis-Leistungsverhältnis ist wirklich gut.

Hier bezahlt man die Aussicht gleich erst Mal mit. Preislich gesehen zu teuer, da die Portionen recht klein sind und nichts an Beilagen - wie ein kleiner Salat fehlen. Denn z.B. ein Beilagen Salat kostet extra 3,40€ Des weitern liegt das Essen lieblos auf dem Teller. Hier fehlt einfach ein bissel Garnierung fürs Auge. Es hat uns zwar geschmeckt, aber sind auch mit einem Getränk und Nachtisch über 60 € los geworden. Alles in allem war es ok. Wir werden aber nicht wieder kommen.

Übers Navi kamen wir von der anderen seite an. Das Navi wollte uns über den Waldweg schicken. Den sind wir dann gelaufen. Ca 5min Fußweg. Angekommen an der Hütte. Sehr schön gelegen. Tolle Aussicht über den Edersee. Es war schlechtes Wetter an einem Samstag/späten Nachmittag. Es war wenig los. Wir wurden freundlich bedient und empfangen. Das Essen war reichhaltig. Und die Preise gerechtfertigt. Alles in einen würden wir nochmal wieder kommen. Dankeschön

A real insider tip on the Edersee! We regularly visit the Edersee Alm – and are impressed every time. Whether it's Greek or German cuisine: everything is fresh, delicious, and prepared with love. We particularly like the varied menu and the consistently high quality. A real highlight is the fantastic view from the terrace over the lake – when the weather's nice, there's (almost) always a sunny spot. We enjoy driving directly here from Kassel in our vintage car and ending the day in a relaxed atmosphere. A clear recommendation! Friendly service, great food, and a fantastic location – what more could you want?

Unfortunately, it's not what it used to be. It was quite dark inside, the lights weren't on, and the number of visitors could be counted on one hand. The menu, unfortunately, no longer features traditional Bavarian cuisine, but Greek dishes, due to the new tenants. Frozen cakes (apple cake and plum cake) 🙈 A real shame

The food was perfectly fine. However, the service was nonexistent after the food was brought. After 30 minutes and a long time of empty glasses, we had to signal for the waiter. It's a shame, really. The prices are definitely high. The ambiance is quite nice.

The food is good, albeit from a deep fryer. I think it's too expensive for that. Service is very friendly and the view is unbeatable. If you want to fill yourself up, it's fine. Otherwise, I'd prefer a different restaurant.

We ate there once during a short vacation. The walk there is a bit different, up a long flight of stairs, but the view of the dam is fantastic. We had the onion schnitzel and the paprika schnitzel. Both schnitzels were freshly cooked, a bit greasy, and you had to pay extra for the salad. The service was very friendly and honest. Yes, dogs aren't allowed on the lovely terrace, which is a shame.

We stopped at the alpine hut in the early evening after a hike. The server was friendly and very prompt, and the food arrived very quickly. We had two different schnitzels (delicious) and a colorful salad (the dressing wasn't our taste). The view is absolutely beautiful; we highly recommend the alpine hut.

We were there on Monday and the Alm was very poorly attended. So there was no waiting time and the food came very quickly. The schnitzels were tasty and big enough. Price/performance is completely ok for today's standards.

Since we were at the Edersee mobile home park and Alm in the 2nd week of April, we went to the Alm (winter garden) for dinner on the last evening. We had tried to reserve a place for the evening beforehand!!! Then the host says, just come at the time you want and take a seat!!! Well, it was a bit strange. But it worked and we were seated at the table we wanted, with a fantastic view of Lake Edersee. We didn't have to wait long for our hearty meal (hock and schnitzel). The knuckle (with very crispy skin) and the schnitzel were really delicious. It was another nice end for us at Edersee.

We were there twice today and were greeted warmly and served quickly. The food was very tasty 😋. We would love to come back. The view in the winter garden is unique.

The food itself was good, but for that price, I wouldn't have expected a bag of spaetzle. Yes, there are simply better ready-made products. However, the service was very friendly, and the location was simply fantastic. A fantastic view over the lake.

Unfortunately not great and friendly service!! When you chewed gum you were treated very unkindly by the innkeeper. As a long-term camper, we finally wanted to visit the Alm. My husband went up at lunchtime to reserve a table. When we arrived in the evening, we were told very rudely that we didn't have reservations on the terrace. One could have said at lunchtime.....instead of looking for a solution in a friendly manner, we were very unfriendly and left chewing gum with our mouths open. Well, you don't need regular guests!! It's probably only for tourists who come once... it's a shame!! We definitely won't recommend it!! That was our experience. Feel free to make your own.

So we ordered drinks and food. After 45 minutes, not even drinks. The restaurant really didn't have many guests and I left. So really not good………

For the prices I expected more than 5kg of fries and a lettuce leaf the size of a small spoon. The starter plate (feta cheese with bread) included half a slice of cucumber with the cheese, how generous.

Dogs are only welcome outside in the limited rear terrace. Nice location but food not as you are used to from German cuisine. Once but never again.

Great view of the lake. The hut looks promising, but the selection on the menu doesn't match the ambience. A mix of Bavarian and Greek cuisine. Food was okay but nothing special - value for money wasn't right. What is service? You were only served when you ordered food. We had to wait 15 minutes for the bill. We won't come anymore.

We were at the door today at 8:15 p.m. and it was already locked. Then we wanted to knock and the light in the guest room was turned off. Unfortunately, not good service when the door says opening times until 9 p.m. 😕 The ambience and especially the terrace look very nice - great view of the lake.

Very nice alpine pasture on a small hill with a wonderful view of Waldeck Castle and the Edersee. Nice staff and delicious food. We'd love to come back.

Nie wieder. Essen war einfach nicht gut. Hier geht man nur Essen weil der Weg woanders hin zu weit ist. Einfach schade. Vielleicht wäre es besser ne einfache Pommes Bude zu betreiben. Da erwartet man auch nicht viel.

Ehrlich gesagt, war das Essen wirklich nicht gut. Ich hatte eine Haxe, voller Schwabbel, die kleinen Klöße geschmacklos das Sauerkraut ungeniessbar. Es ärgert mich einfach, wenn man viel Geld für Essen auswärts ausgibt und es zu Hause da viel besser geschmeckt hätte.

The rustic Bavarian ambience gives hope for Bavarian cuisine. These are also available, but the starters are all Greek. Okay, that's not bad. Unfortunately the food wasn't freshly prepared and there was a lot of ready-made stuff😢. The price wasn't appropriate for that. I think this also shows that the parking space was full, but the restaurant was only half full. The service was friendly and accommodating. We probably won't come back😢

Great location with a fantastic view of the lake. Schnitzel Viennese style is on the menu at 16.60 euros. However, 16.80 euros will be charged. The food was delicious, but the schnitzels were very greasy.

Very nicely located with a fantastic view over the Edersee. The food (hock with dumplings and sauerkraut) was perfect. As a cold drink “Bitburger” Unfortunately, service was a bit overwhelmed as there is a lack of staff here too. But if you have the time and sit together in a nice group, it's not a big problem. Would love to come back.

The view would give it 5 stars, the beer is okay, but the food is absolutely disappointing and overpriced. Loads of iceberg lettuce are smothered in a sauce that tastes like watered-down tzatziki. Buffer bad frozen goods, as well as schnitzel. The saving grace were the flavor enhancers in the hunter's sauce, the fries were okay.

We ate here on two afternoons and enjoyed it very much both times. Dogs are not allowed in the restaurant, but there are spaces in front of the restaurant. But then only recommended if the weather is good.

We will no longer visit the Alm. The separate side salad consisted of 90% better iceberg lettuce, with just a teaspoon of sour cream spread over it. We also felt ripped off when the waiter brought large 0.5 liter glasses of Diet Coke (4.90) for each of us. Especially: When ordering, I wondered out loud in the waiter's presence whether just one drink would be enough because I wasn't thirsty at all (you have everything in the motorhome). But because we now know that the catering industry relies most on drinks, we ordered two Diet Cokes. The waiter brought us two thick 0.5 liter pots. Here we would have liked to have asked for large or small items beforehand. The main course, the sirloin, was okay, but nothing special. However, the price is not justified, especially since you have to pay an extra €3.50 for the watery iceberg lettuce with a teaspoon of sour cream as a dressing.

We were here for the third time today for the New Year's Eve menu. We remember the first two visits very pleasantly. This time, under a different operator, we were very disappointed. The service and the kitchen were simply overwhelmed for such an event. The food came to the table in very different quality. My rump steak was dry and completely fried, the steak at the next table (served later) was as it should be. Fried potatoes were as pale as potato salad and, and, and. We spent almost 3 1/2 hours for the four courses due to long waiting times. Why 2 stars? We also went here for dinner the day before. Knuckle and mushrooms, everything OK. Only the boss seemed stressed. We might come here again, but definitely not for a meal.

With the restaurant only 3/4 full, we waited 1:20 hours for the mediocre food - that doesn't have to be the case, even on vacation. The food was ok, but nothing more, the service and the kitchen seemed overwhelmed.
