My husband and I went there for dinner, and we were absolutely thrilled! They have a wonderful menu with cool, nice-to-know facts about Afghanistan. The selection of dishes is excellent, with something for everyone, including vegetarian/vegan options. Our food was extremely delicious, and the service was super friendly and accommodating. We will definitely be back; we highly recommend it!

A real insider tip! The food was fantastic – authentic, fresh and full of flavour. But what really made the evening special was our waiter Belal. Not only was he incredibly attentive and professional - he is also incredibly handsome! His charming manner and radiant smile made the evening perfect. Honestly, I would visit the restaurant again just because of him. A culinary and visual pleasure at the same time!

Fades,verkochtes Gemüse,Tomatensosse geschmacklos,ziemlich ungewürzt das Ganze.Brot gummiartig.Eine Bestellung einfach vergessen.Viel Deko,was okay ist,aber zwei Flaschen hatten als Deko Burkas,jeder kann das beurteilen wie er möchte.Ich war irritiert.Man kann sein Geld in bessere Nahrung anlegen.

Mega delicious food (had the chicken skewer), fantastically seasoned. The rice was refined with raisins, the meat was tender and the vegetables were cooked to perfection in a tomato-like sauce. Thumbs up, highly recommended 👍

Discovered by chance, had a parking space right in front of the entrance and enjoyed a really delicious meal. The three of us had all three versions of the carved leg of lamb and each dish was delicious in its own way

Service is good and fast. The atmosphere is colorful and relaxing. Food is great. First time to try Afghan food and it did not disappoint. The desserts are also must try. The Joghurt drink is not to my liking though.

There were four of us here with a reservation. Authentically decorated, friendly service and great food. The dessert was ok, but the rice pudding could have been twice the portion. But the rice pudding didn't spoil the lovely evening. Would love to come back. 👌🏼👍🏼

Fantastic food, portion size was ok and we waited a bit for our drinks. All in all a great experience and definitely worth a visit. A special recommendation goes to the dessert with the sweet dumplings.

Very friendly reception, there was a bit of a crowd at the tables, so we were immediately included in the conversations at the table next to us. The starter for 2 was a bit sad, so lots of iceberg lettuce with dressing with 2 fried parts and 2 dry brown balls. Unfortunately for us it wasn't a selection of typical local delicacies for 14.90. I had the 73, unfortunately the rice wasn't a taste explosion, no cardamom or anything, but light. the leg of lamb was an indefinable goulash in a very sour sauce. The second meal, however, was good, Maultaschen, which I would recommend. We had also ordered naan, which unfortunately came without the dip described on the menu.

Friendly service, the ambience has been adjusted with few but effective objects to create an atmosphere that is perhaps reminiscent of Afghanistan, which was not yet ravaged by the many overpowering and wars. The food is very tasty, spicy and rich. We'll definitely be happy to come back.

The first experience with Afghan cuisine was very positive. The food was super delicious, full of flavor and variety. Definitely worth a visit!

Unfortunately there was only a slimmed down menu on Boxing Day without prior notice. The food was overpriced. The dishes are on the regular menu 5 € less. Card payment is still not possible, apparently for technical reasons. The service leaves something to be desired.

We got a table for Boxing Day at short notice. We were very satisfied, the food was very tasty, definitely an alternative to the usual Christmas roast 😋. Happy to come back :)

Top very tasty food, great ambience, gladly again

We went to this restaurant for the first time on New Year's Eve. The restaurant is very nicely decorated! There was an extra card for New Year's that day. Nevertheless, there were still plenty of delicious dishes to choose from. The service was very friendly and they also catered to our somewhat specific requests and preferences. We ordered the last “culinary trip of the year” and this was followed by a delicious plate of starters, followed by a very tasty main course, also varied, and at the end a small dessert, which was also lovingly prepared. For dessert there was tea on the house. Very attentive! The food was served very quickly and we left the restaurant very full and very satisfied. The prices are higher but still absolutely reasonable. We can definitely recommend the restaurant!

Extremely delicious. Very polite and nice service. A top restaurant here in Gelnhausen. It's really worth it. In the picture menu 4, the main meal. Chicken soup as a starter. Pudding for dessert. Here again. Everything is still extremely tasty. My wife likes to be vegetarian and there is a lot of delicious food on offer here. With the new premises, things have improved a lot. And been here again. Pleasant environment. Extremely nice service. As always, the food was delicious and definitely worth the price.

The staff is super friendly and the price-performance ratio is perfect. If you want to experience Afghan cuisine authentically, you should definitely eat here. We'll definitely be back!

Dear people, my son brought me to the Durrani restaurant in Gelnhausen this evening. What should I write that others haven't already written? If you want to experience a palate explosion, you definitely have to go! I have never eaten Afghan food before but it is to die for. From starter to main course to dessert! And this location! Simply perfect. I'll be a regular customer.

Online reservation was easy, service was very friendly and accommodating. Food very tasty and plentiful. Selection diverse. Complaint at a high level: Salad dressing could have been a little more plentiful. Great restaurant! Thank you!
