We weren't offered a seat in the restaurant. We sat down and were served. After a while, the waitress asked us if we had a reservation. We replied no. She said all the tables were reserved. But we had already ordered. She told us we could only sit outside. However, since my husband is allergic to wasps and we had also ordered Pepsi, that wasn't so good. We finished our food quickly because the wasps were flying around us. It was very disappointing because the mussels were very overcooked and the meat very dry.

Very good Greek restaurant, I enjoy eating there. Good selection and excellent taste. The beer garden is a nice place to sit.

Very, very good food. I don't usually like balsamic dressing on salads, but here, combined with the yogurt dressing, we really enjoyed the salads. We also had a Rodos platter and special gyros with Metaxa sauce. Impeccable. And to finish, the galaktoboureko. That was also something different. I've never had such good Greek food before. But the service is also very friendly (really cute) and competent. You feel like you're in good hands.

I thank the local innkeeper who thought it a good idea to book all his tables in advance, which is the opposite of hospitality. But thanks to him, I discovered this restaurant just a stone's throw away. The welcome is quick and friendly, and the food!!! In short, a traveler's delight.

Unfortunately, the Achilleas Tavern in Gelnhausen didn't impress us. The food was lukewarm and uninspired – the flavors were lacking, and the portions were disappointingly small. We had expected much fresher, more authentic Greek dishes. The service, while polite, was generally disorganized and slow, which left our visit with the impression of a stressful evening. For the price, we definitely expected more – overall, unfortunately, we wouldn't recommend it.

On our trip to Gelnhausen we came across the Achilleas tavern by chance, we chose the deor. The environment is very nice and welcoming. the waiters very friendly and the food very good. The meat, the gyros and everything else was very good. I will happily return

Unfortunately there was a hair in the salad and they wanted €4 to heat water for the baby. The food was definitely not worth the money. The drinks are completely overpriced. Not recommended.

At first we were a bit put off by the Google rating (20-30€), but that's not the case, you can also get main courses for well under 20 euros. The service was also very quick. Pleasant restaurant, the staff was friendly and we felt comfortable. The food was great and came out with a normal waiting time despite Mother's Day. Pleasant outdoor seating, although we couldn't use it that day for family reasons.

It could have been a nice evening but the experience went down the drain. Despite a warm welcome, it was a disaster. Waiting time for meals was over 1.5 hours...the kids spaghetti took also over an hour. While it was full and longer waiting times may occur, the owner was not willed to make things right but caught herself in rude explanations. Food was ok but not outstanding...the gyros was burned and the children's spaghetti came at 9,80€. Not recommended 😔

We went to this restaurant with friends on a recommendation. A reservation is definitely recommended as it was full to capacity on Saturday evening. The welcome was warm and friendly. For the adults there was a light ouzo as a welcome. The service was always very friendly and attentive throughout our almost 3-hour stay, but not intrusive. The two starter plates are very good, tasty and rich. The version with fish is particularly recommended. I like to eat classics like the Bifteki and this was completely convincing here. Nice and juicy and filled not only with sheep's cheese, but also with vegetables such as tomatoes and peppers. And it wasn't so greasy and comatose, you're positively satiated. The skewers weren't just pointy, they were awesome. The grilled meat was very juicy and the stuffed skewer was very rich and juicy. We will come back!!
