Restaurant Doon in Berlin

It is a nice place to have dinner. The taste of the food is on good side, but not so great. However the portions are really big. Overall, I can recommend this place. Update: After making multiple visits and trying different items, I found the food is really great. Absolutely recommend this place

The food was very good. There was a lot of choice of vegan food. The staff was also super friendly. Have rarely eaten so well and felt so comfortable!

Had dinner at Doon Restaurant the other day and it honestly felt like I was back home. The food was not just tasty, it had that proper homemade feel that’s really hard to find in most places. Nothing was overly spicy or greasy, just simple and full of flavor. I had the butter chicken and dal makhani. Both were spot on. The naan came out soft and fresh, perfect for scooping up the curries. Finished off with a cup of chai that tasted exactly how it should. The place has a relaxed vibe and the staff were kind and helpful without being pushy. If you miss home-style Indian food, Doon is definitely worth a visit. I’ll be coming back soon.

The ambiance and service were good. The food is a 3 out of 5. While Dal Makhani was tasty alongside with rice, the non-veg dishes were disappointing. The restaurant is quite spacious and can accommodate large groups.

Felt like I'm back at Kolkata with the authentic Indian atmosphere with the food, but I prefer the food to be more spicy but hey it's my first time eating and left with with smile on my face.

The butter chicken was the worst thing I've ever tasted. There was a piece of bone in the sauce! 14.90 for that is outrageous. The sauce was far too thin, more like a soup, and the chicken pieces were completely overcooked and dry. Also, the sauces for the bhatura weren't included. And one more thing: Bhatura isn't supposed to be crispy, so that wasn't the case either.

The restaurant is very close to the Adlershof S train station. I drove from Bundesplatz towards Königs Wusterhausen. The restaurant is very nice and cozy. My colleague from Nepal recommended it to me. You can also express your wishes, for example if you can't tolerate garlic. The service is very good. The food tastes very good. I'll be happy to come back

Just had the chocolate brownie with ice cream and sauce. The brownie was tiny, the ice cream was small and the chocolate sauce burned on the hot stone. The whole "tiny" dessert cost over 7 euros. An impudence

Very friendly service and I haven't had such good Indian food in a long time. Extras such as 3 dips, pepper bread and 1 mango lassi for our daughter were free. We felt completely comfortable here. Thank you, see you next time 😋

Delicious inexpensive food, friendly service

I ordered various dishes declared as vegan and had to find a piece of meat in one of these dishes. That's absolutely not possible. Something like this simply shouldn't happen. If you cannot ensure that certain criteria are met without errors, then it is better to simply not offer them or declare them as such.

Edit, Chicken biryani here isn't great, it's soggy and the taste isn't soulful. Amazing food! I asked for spicy and I did get spicy, it was very very delicious. The portion was good! The service was fast and really polite. I'll definitely return. I had fish jalfrezi and a Bailey cocktail - €17 Also a complimentary shot on the house, I had the mango shot. Abhishek was a great host!

Went there for the first time yesterday and celebrated my birthday with the family. Very attentive and friendly staff. We were greeted with a birthday mango champagne on the house. Very nice! The food was also very tasty. I can highly recommend it and would love to come back!

Food tastes very good, seasoned better than in other restaurants, service is courteous on site, food delivery and pick-up also works very well. Portions are so large that you can easily share. We usually order 2-3 main courses plus side dishes for 2 adults and 2 children.

The restaurant gives typical Indian vibes.. the staff here is friendly and nice. Food quality is good. The good thing is that sometimes you will get some complimentary items. It's a really nice gesture of the owner there. Must visit for tasty Indian food if you are in Adlershof.

4/5 for the food. It’s good, not excellent. My wife and I both had palak paneer and the portions were very good, would ask for less rice though, if given the choice. The complimentary salad that came with our main course was “weird” to quote my wife. I absolutely agree. Just seems like a mishmash of lettuce, pickles, and oranges from the kitchen, with a hollandaise dressing that was not appreciated. The side dish of basmati rice is bland, but I can’t blame the restaurant, as that is what basmati rice is best known for. The cheese naan was excellent, but I would not recommend the chapati if you are used to a specific type.
