It's a shame that you can't eat on the terrace upstairs., we had to go back down and eat there.,

Drop your tired thoughts and go to the German Oak. 2 people run the store there with unparalleled patience and immense kindness. The food was a bit pricey but very good. The fish wasn't a Loupdemare but a frozen pike, but it was wonderful on the rice with fresh vegetables. The wine is simply delicious. A bit expensive but it was Oktoberfest time. Very nice atmosphere.

On several evenings I tried 4 of the main courses. I was most satisfied with the Vienna schnitzel with wonderful sauces and very tasty potato salad. The turkey breast was also very tasty, the mushroom sauce was lovely but unfortunately too salty (unacceptable). The wurst - nothing special. The pork was the most boring, especially because of the tasteless potato dumplings. However, the salad with it was fresh and I liked it. The quick preparation of the dishes - big plus. My overall impression is good. A little more innovation won't hurt.

Great restaurant. Service very attentive and funny, which is a welcome change from the standard service in Munich! The food is also excellent and the atmosphere is cozy. Will come again.

The food didn't taste good. The food smelled unpleasant. Some of the food tasted like finished products. Everything was really inedible. Too bad! I can't explain the good reviews here/ The waiter wasn't particularly on point either, even though there wasn't much going on... When we told him when we were paying that it wasn't tasty, he didn't say anything about it The Kinderschnitzel was a joke It costs €21 and not even the fries were tasty

Outstandingly good real Viennese veal schnitzel - there are few places in Munich that do it so well. The other dishes are also really great. We enjoy eating here alone or with friends. People who don't get along with the service here in the reviews just seem to be unable to deal with humor and a wink. We always feel completely at home... An institution that I wouldn't want to miss in Munich. Warm food in the evening until 11 p.m. – always a safe bet. Really fair prices for southern German conditions. Keep it up!

Nice restaurant, schnitzel and currywurst unfortunately only get 3 stars. Currywurst was cold, schnitzel was very fatty. But the Kaiserschmarren gets it out again. The portion plus the taste 10/10. Price for two drinks, two main courses and a portion of dessert 65 euros. That's good.

Cozy cafe with excellent cuisine. This place was interesting to me because many years ago Freddie Mercury dined and spent time here. Because I am a fan of his work. And I was pleased to plunge into this atmosphere.

Very quick service and food was good - though a little expensive. The furniture felt a bit dated and not super clean.

The roof terrace is wonderful. The view over the city. The sunset and first class service. There is a large selection of drinks. It's never crowded. Only the number of people who have a seat will be allowed in.

Main courses are highly recommended. The salad we ordered with the meal was poorly prepared and tasted like nothing. The roof terrace with its great view over Munich and the good range of drinks are a highlight.

Visit on Sunday 11.08.24 we visited this local that we were in the area and had a bad experience not far from here, there was only one person in service and one at the drinks counter, it all took a while but The service was very nice and she looked after the children without any problems. Very child-friendly, thank you for the lovely lunch

Very nice Bavarian food, a cut above the rest. We especially loved the liver pate bruschetta!!! The mains were good as well but the bruschetta had already filled us up! Restaurant has a bit of history and reputation as well. Clean and good atmosphere. Lively crowd. Would recommend taking visitors here to experience a bit of town center and Bavarian cuisine.

Phenomenal! The food was really great and the portions were really large (handmade spaetzle and currywurst). The roof terrace offers a relaxed atmosphere to enjoy the view after eating in good weather. My highlight: I lost a gold earring there and someone from the staff actually found it and kept it for me. Even though I had hoped that he would be found, I never dreamed that I would be able to call him my own again. THANK YOU THANK YOU THANK YOU!!!!!!

Tasty food at standard prices, but in a quiet and peaceful place. The food was very tasty and the portions were large. In addition to Bavarian specialties, there is also a seasonal menu. Beer - Franziskaner. You can pay by credit card.

Small but very nice and welcoming place. Friendly and helpful staff. Possibly there is also an Italian waiter. Generous portions and very good. Very good beer, light, not too carbonated, tasty and not bloated. We took: -Spaztle with 4 cheeses, chives and crispy onion: really really good, highly recommended. -Roast pork in broth with a side of potatoes and sauerkraut: very good. With 2 beers and the previously written dishes we spent €42 (very honest in terms of quality/price). I highly recommend.

Visited this place on Christmas day, The venue was nicely decorated for the occasion. As well it encompasses a traditional ambiance. Seating is comfortable consisting or chairs and couches. We had some items from the christmas menu , such as soup, pasta and the dessert. Food was served quickly and was hot, fresh and mouth watering. Prices are reasonable and quite affordable given the quality, taste and portion of food. The staff are very welcoming, friendly and very social. The place looked very tidy and clean cutlery was nicely presented, and well polished. Toilettes are super clean, and there is a relaxing bird sound played as well. It is a pet friendly venue as many customers had their dogs with them.

Solid Bavarian cuisine. The Kaiserschmarren dessert was the highlight - nice and fluffy and crispy. One portion to share is easily enough for more than two people...

Far too expensive, furniture outdated, no decoration, inconvenient to go out to eat, food has to be ordered downstairs at the entrance and picked up yourself, so no service

We were there for lunch on Easter Sunday. The restaurant is located near the Viktualienmarkt. The furnishings are attractive and a large mirrored wall makes the room appear much larger. The menu is small but there were several Easter specials. Everything we ordered tasted very good and the portions were more than sufficient. The service was quick and very friendly.

They charged us €8 for a 500ml water bottle. Shame on them!!

The roof terrace is a dream. The view over Munich... the waitresses are friendly, the food is wonderful and the selection of drinks leaves no wish unfulfilled.

A nice selection of tasty Bavarian dishes with Christmas specialities on the day. The staff were nice and friendly, checking in to make sure we were okay despite only a small number on the floor! Lovely Christmas decorations as well.

Really nice typical restaurant close to the main places to visit in Munich. A warm welcome, and after having taken our weisswurst breakfast, the waiter offered us a glass of prosecco and made us go to the terrace on top of the hotel to have a beautiful view on the roofs of Munich. That was very pleasant and a good surprise !

Honestly they have the nicest toilet I've ever had the pleasure of peeing in. Most chill tranquil lighting with bird song, could have spent the evening there. Worth it just for that (other stuff was good to).

Ein Restaurant zu einem Hotel. Wir saßen draußen an der Straße, war nicht ganz gemütlich, aber bei schönem Wetter nett. Das Kalbsschnitzel mit Kartoffelsalat war nett angerichtet und hat uns gut geschmeckt. Der Preis war ok für ein Kalbsschnitzel. Die Bedienung kam schnell um die Bestellung aufzunehmen, besonders aufmerksam war der Kellner jedoch nicht, nach oben ist noch Luft.

Am Samstag Abend wurden wir von einer Servicekraft “Stefano” bedient: sehr unaufmerksamer und unhöflicher Service. Unter Gastfreundschaft verstehe ich etwas anderes. Der Zahlbevorgang dauerte 20 Minuten.

Einen Besuch lohnt sich, meine Empfehlung ist das Wiener Schnitzel vom Kalb mit Kartoffelsalat.

Im Restaurant unten roch es erbärmlich nach Fisch und wir sind in einem Gay Place! :-) Dachterasse für drinks zwar geöffnet aber dunkel und nur mit Selbstbedienung. Schade! Zwar ist das Wetter nicht ganz so toll aber da oben ist es einfach schön! Die Bedienung im Restaurant ist außergewöhnlich freundlich!
