Restaurant Delphi in Vilshofen an der Donau

Ich war mit einer kleinen Gruppe im Delphi essen. Der Grillteller hat mir sehr gut geschmeckt, vor allem das Gyros und die Pommes, die ich anstatt der Portion Reis genommen habe. Von den Anderen am Tisch habe ich auch nur Worte des Lobes gehört. Die Bedienung war sehr bemüht und fragte in passenden Abständen, ob noch alles passt. Nur wegen dem Gyros mit Pommes würde ich gerne gleich noch mal dort essen gehen. Dann musste ich auf Toilette und war doch etwas "erschrocken". Als ich die Tür zum Vorbereich der Toiletten aufgemacht habe, da kam mir gleich ein ziemlich muffiger Geruch entgegen. War gar nicht schön. Die Damentoilette hatte zwei Toiletten und ich entschied mich für die linke...großer Fehler, denn ich hatte etwas Durchfall und KEIN einziges Blatt Toilettenpapier, obwohl es einen "Spender" für drei Rollen Toilettenpapier gab. Keine Ahnung, wann da das letzte Mal kontrolliert wurde. GsD hatte ich noch ein gebrauchtes Tempo in der Hose und bin dann auf die rechte Toilette gewechselt. Das war aber auch nicht viel besser. Toilettenpapier war vorhanden aber da konnte man die Tür nicht absperren und hätte sie evtl vor den Kopf bekommen, falls noch jemand diese Seite benutzen hätte wollen. Anschließend bin ich zu den Waschbecken gegangen...ein Flüssigseifenspender an der Wand war SEHR "geizig", bei einer Betätigung kam so eine geringe Menge heraus, dass ich nach dem ca zehnten Mal endlich eine einigermaßen kleine Seidenmenge hatte, um mir endlich die Hände waschen zu können. Eigentlich war da noch ein Papierrollenspender zum Hände abtrocknen vorhanden, aber dieser war anscheinend auch defekt und die Rolle stand hochkant auf dem Waschbecken. Als ich anschließend zu der zuvor so bemühten Bedienung gegangen bin und Sie auf die "Missstände"angesprochen habe, war Sie etwas genervt und meinte nur, das Ihnen das schon bekannt ist, daß die eine Tür nicht abschließbar ist. Also bitte ... was soll ich dazu noch kommentieren? Das Essen war super und der Service in dem Bereich auch sehr aufmerksam, aber man sollte tunlichst nicht die Toilette benutzen müssen.

Gutes griechisches Restaurant mit tollem Gewölbe und viel Platz. Die Kellner sind sehr freundlich und schnell. Aufs Essen muss man auch nicht lange warten. Habe den Bauerteller bestellt, da von überall etwas dabei ist. Die Portion ist groß und ausreichend. Der Preis ist auch in Ordnung. Und einen Uzo aufs Haus gibt es auch noch dazu. Komme gerne wieder.

Tolles Essen, kann man sehr empfehlen

Am Sonntag um 13.40 Uhr wurden wir nicht mehr bedient mit dem unfreundlichen Hinweis wir haben ab 14.00 Pause. Danke für nix! Offensichtlich haben es die Betreiber nicht nötig Gäste zu bedienen. Offensichtlich werfen die überhöhten Preise genug Profit ab. Nicht zu empfehlen. Personal sehr unfreundlich!

Titel: Schönes Ambiente mit Schattenseiten beim Service und Essen ​Wir haben das Restaurant aufgrund der Guten Bewertungen besucht und wurden anfangs nicht enttäuscht. Das Ambiente ist sehr gemütlich und stilvoll eingerichtet. Auch für Familien ist gesorgt, da es eine Spielecke für Kinder gibt, was den Aufenthalt entspannt beginnen ließ. Zur Begrüßung gab es zudem einen Ouzo aufs Haus – eine nette Geste. ​Leider konnte der restliche Abend mit diesem ersten Eindruck nicht mithalten: ​Der Service: Ein Teil der Bedienungen bemühte sich zwar um ein freundliches Auftreten, allerdings fühlten wir uns als Gäste nicht wirklich willkommen. Der Grund: Es wurde sich auf Griechisch und negativ über andere Gäste ausgelassen. Ein gut gemeinter Rat: Man sollte nie davon ausgehen, dass die Gäste die Sprache nicht verstehen. Das wirkt leider sehr unprofessionell und schafft eine unangenehme Atmosphäre. ​Das Essen: Hier stimmt das Preis-Leistungs-Verhältnis leider aktuell nicht. Die Fischplatte war für den aufgerufenen Preis deutlich zu klein und wurde ohne Salatbeilage serviert. Die Zubereitung wirkte insgesamt etwas lieblos und geschmacklich eher durchschnittlich. ​Die Auswahl: Wer nach dem Hauptgang noch eine Kleinigkeit süßes essen möchte, sucht vergeblich. Es standen keinerlei Nachspeisen auf der Karte. ​Fazit: Ein tolles Gebäude mit viel Potenzial, aber das Essen und die Professionalität des Personals hinkten in unserem Fall dem schönen Ambiente leider hinterher. Wir hätten uns mehr Herzblut auf dem Teller und mehr Respekt gegenüber den Gästen gewünscht.

Nettes Personal. Das Essen kann man essen aber etwas zu teuer. Für knappe 30€ ein Fischteller hätte ich mehr erwartet z. B Salatbeilage. Sonst war es sehr gemütlich.

I know it's Christmas, but the person I spoke to on the phone was very unfriendly. Instead of speaking in a friendly tone, they said, "Look, I'm fully booked, but I can call you back and tell you when I can reserve." So very bad, unfriendly, what a shame! 😒😒😒😒

A good Greek restaurant with moderate prices that match the quality. Portions are definitely sufficient, and they don't skimp on onions or anything else. One person's meat was a bit too crispy, but we had a customer at the table who preferred that. The salad to start with was good, but a simple dressing would have been excellent and would have tasted better, like the oil with salt and vinegar that was provided. We'll definitely be back here and therefore give it 4 stars. The ambiance seems a bit cold and not what you'd expect. A little attention to detail, so it's one star less.

Very good Greek restaurant, but the food preparation is a bit different from other "Greek" restaurants. The gyro is a bit thicker, but still juicy on the inside and crispy on the outside. The pita was also very tasty, and tzatziki was outstanding. Only the side salad tasted of nothing. They must have forgotten the dressing; it was the only one there, which can happen sometimes. Points deducted for the very loud background noise, even though the restaurant was only half full. But I would go back anytime.

Great food, superb service. Everyone is very friendly and helpful. And you even get a free ouzo.

Update 08/21/25 - Unfortunately, everything has gone downhill. The tomato rice was cold and looked like a flatbread. The gyro was rather tough and hardly crispy. Old post: Good Greek restaurant with friendly service. Even substitutions to the plates were no problem. The courtyard, as well as the vaulted ceiling in the restaurant, are nice places to sit.

We were at your place for the first time this afternoon. I've never eaten such good bifteki in my life. Highly recommended. Completely satisfied with the service and the food, I'm happy to give a review. We'll be back whenever we're in Vilshofen. Thank you.

The best of the two remaining Greek restaurants in Vilshofen: ZORBAS on the town square is closed forever. The food is excellent, the service is attentive, and the interior is beautiful—not kitschy! That's what most people want from a Greek restaurant 👍👍👍

Great Greek restaurant. We stumbled upon it by chance. Very friendly staff and super delicious food. The garlic bread and taramas are highly recommended. Great interior. If we pass by again, we'll be back. Dogs welcome.

We picked up the food, and it was very good. Ordering and pickup went smoothly, and the staff were friendly. The food was delicious, especially the tzatziki. It's also worth mentioning that there was no extra charge for the farmer's salad instead of the regular salad.

We recently dined at the Delphi Restaurant in Vilshofen and were absolutely thrilled! The food was excellent – fresh, authentic Greek, and prepared with love. We'd especially like to highlight the children's playroom, which our daughter absolutely loved. While we were able to relax and eat, she had a blast playing – a real plus for families with small children! You can tell that the needs of the youngest guests are also taken into account here. The staff was very friendly and attentive, and the atmosphere was cozy and inviting. We'll definitely be back – both for the delicious food and the child-friendly facilities. A clear recommendation for anyone who enjoys Greek cuisine and is looking for a family-friendly place to eat!

We ate here for the first time today and were very pleasantly surprised. The restaurant is located in a beautiful vault, which you wouldn't expect from the outside. The service was friendly and attentive and the food was very tasty and plentiful. We'll come back and try the other dishes on the diverse menu.

Lunchtime, ordered from the normal menu. Locally very dark, Rice was cold in the middle. Suvlaki very tough gyros with a lot of flax or fat, meat only lukewarm. Taste was good

Yesterday we got a plate there for two people (which was already expensive for what was on offer at €53) and today we both have stomach pains and diarrhea. Not so recommended and would like our money back :/

Very good cuisine and very friendly staff. The only thing that bothered me was the price for a still water, which was over 1 euro more than a wheat beer. I don't think that's right, otherwise there was nothing to complain about. If we go again no water will be ordered.

Very unkempt behavior from the staff.. Salad - just an oily broth... and my salmon - a nightmare. The salmon was probably good and cheap (about 4 euros) with some rice and an indefinable sauce... 20.50 euros... the sight was unappetizing... the red peppercorns are supposed to numb the taste when you bite on it... taste - without words.. . Unfortunately I can't post a photo - at least I can't find an option.

Good Greek restaurant where you should definitely make a reservation in advance, even for 2 people. Without a reservation it is quite difficult to get a place. The lamb shanks on the menu in 5 different versions are highly recommended.

Just got something to eat!!! For me, it was the best Greek restaurant we ate at, but now we are very disappointed, we eat nothing but a fatty broth, etc. You can't eat it anymore, just E.....!!! I don't eat there anymore

Food is nowhere near as good as it used to be.. > Fries are dried out and taste old and everything is very oily!! Definitely not appropriate for the prices.

Reservation went smoothly. Food and service were good. The vegetarian dish “rice noodles” wasn’t really warm at the core. The gratinated cheese probably didn't let the heat through because the porcelain bowl was hot on the outside. What irritated us was that there was no Greek mocha. Just “normal” espresso. The atmosphere was nice and Greek music was playing at the right volume.

Are occasionally guests in the evening and also for lunch. At first glance everything seems neat and clean. Unfortunately, the rooms are rather dark unless you sit directly by the window with daylight. The quality of the food is consistently good 😋. Service is friendly and helpful😊. Definitely worth recommending as the price/performance ratio is right👍👍.

We were 6 adults and 3 children. Had the round table. 1) The meal was very successful across the board and well seasoned 2) The waitresses were always there straight away. 3) This is a Greek inn that does this with passion 4) Very child-friendly with an extra playroom

I was just really floored. Just as I was a little choked up about the amount I had just paid, the waiter said, if it's too expensive for me, I should fry fried eggs at home, it's cheaper. Crazy. I'm self-employed myself and know how expensive everything has become, but to make such a rude statement to the customer is an impertinence. I ordered the plate for 2 people for 1 person. It would have cost 33.90, so for 1 person it was half the price, i.e. 16.95 and charged he gave me 22.90. It's clear that this shocks me and then I have to let myself be spoken to so stupidly because everything is expensive, I should cook fried eggs at home, it's cheaper. Shameless rip-off

We ordered 4 dishes and picked them up shortly before the agreed time. The food was already packed and ready at the counter. The contents of the boxes were only lukewarm. Or everything equally warm/cold Tzatziki had the same temperature as the rice or the meat. The baked rice noodles were also cold but overcooked. It's debatable about taste - the salad and the dishes didn't suit our taste. It's a shame - it could be much better.

Very nice atmosphere, food was very good, I personally particularly liked the rice compared to other Greek restaurants, but that's just a matter of taste. We had the farmer's plate, salmon and the fish platter and everyone enjoyed it.

A very cozy and authentically decorated restaurant. The food is excellent and the service staff is friendly and attentive. Children are also welcome here. As far as portions are concerned, some dishes could be a bit larger, but the prices make up for it. Senior portions are also offered. A very clear recommendation from me.

Wir waren sehr sehr zufrieden mit allen!!! Das Personal waren super nett, freundlich und aufmerksam! Wir haben spontan Tisch reserviert für 8 Personen. Das Restaurant ist ziemlich groß, es gibt Kinderecke wo die Kinder spielen können, wenn die Erwachsene sich unterhalten. Das Essen war super lecker! Portion war so ausreichend und das Brot war auch gut! Wir haben auch einen Hund dabei, und das Personal hat ihn ein ganze leckerli gegeben und er hat sich seeeehr gefreut!! Am Ende haben die Kinder auch Lutscher bekommen!! Vielen lieben Dank! Wir haben schönen Abend gehabt! ❤️

Ein Lokal das mit gutem Essen sich hervorhebt. Die Preise sind akzeptabel und ausreichend groß. Nur ist es im Lokal sehr dunkel so dass man zum lesen der Speisekarte Probleme hat.

Waren gegen 21 Uhr abends da, und sind auch dann sehr nett freundlich bedient worden. Essen war klasse. Super👍👍

Ich war hier zum ersten mal. Bestellt wurde der Bifteki Teller mit Giros. Bifteki super saftig und perfekt gewürzt und gegrillt. Giros resch aber immer noch sehr saftig. Der Tomaten Reis ein Traum. Zaziki sehr fein. Einer der besten Griechen die ich kenne. Hab grad mit der Mama gesprochen und ihr mein Kompliment mitgeteilt. Super freundlich. Und 2 Uozos hab’s auch noch. Einfach top.

Essen super, Service super und es gibt ein fantastisches Spielzimmer für Kinder. So können Mama und Papa entspannt sitzen bleiben und noch etwas trinken. Einziges Manko: wenn es voll ist, ist es sehr laut und man kann sich nur schwer unterhalten.

Wir waren nach längerer Zeit wieder im Restaurant Delphie und habe vorher reserviert. Es hat alles sehr gut geklappt. Das Essen war sehr gut. Die Bedienung war sehr freundlich, jeder Wunsch wurde erfüllt und das Preis- Leistungsverhältnis hat wirklich gepasst! Wir kommen sehr gerne wieder!

Das Essen war sehr lobenswert und das Ambiente wirklich ansprechend. Nur wäre es doch freundlicher wenn man den Tisch den man anbietet vorher sauber macht und nicht erst wenn schon die Getränke bestellt sind und wir mit dem Taschentuch schon mal anfangen den Tisch sauber zu machen. Aber wie gesagt das Essen war wirklich empfehlenswert.

Meine Frau meinte es war ein bisschen dunkel, zum Karte lesen, ich fand es angenehm. Parkplatz direkt vor der Tür. Freundliche Gastgeber, leckeres Essen, Am Gericht Leber erkennt man wie gut der Koch ist und meine bestellte war optisch wie auch geschmacklich sehr gut. Der Fisch auf der Fischplatte war ebenfalls sehr gut gebraten. Es ist auf jeden Fall empfehlenswert.

Ein Kellner in Niederbayern, der kein deutsch spricht, ist schon mal ne Ansage ;-) Das wird aber mehr als kompensiert durch Humor, aussergewöhnliche Freundlichkeit, viel Schnaps auf’s Haus und sehr gutes Essen. Ein Ort zum Wiederkommen.
