The food was excellent, whether it was Souvlaki Gyros Suzuki or calamari. Everything tastes very good. Portions are good and the price-performance ratio is absolutely fine. The service staff could be a little more attentive. Otherwise there's nothing to complain about. Will definitely come back.

Food cold If you would like a glass of wine… the waiter says what is that, we have wine spritzer… Staff completely incompetent for a Saturday evening. An evening to forget. We don't have enough money for that!

Today I was there again after a long time, although I hadn't heard anything good. We sat in the next room. Service was very bad. We weren't served for ages after dinner and always had to fetch someone ourselves. Waiters just sat there and looked at their cell phones! One child always cleared the tables! But no service came... We'll probably go somewhere else next time!

Can be expanded, but definitely visitable. Starter huge and tasty, main course different than usual, service a bit slow, location good after renovation, outside very nice.

Addendum 06.2024: Tried again, undercut again. There is nothing left of Zorbas back then. From the best Greek in Vilshofen to the worst Addendum, 04.2024: There has been a change of operator - new facility, new people - but the food is nowhere near what it used to be 🙄 Good lunch specials, consistent quality. Always my pleasure.

BE CAREFUL, some of the staff try to steal from you if they see you are a foreigner. I sat outside to enjoy a €4 beer, he then charged me €8. I called him out and he just acted confused and gave me random change until I stopped asking why his math was so bad. I eventually left €3 short because it wasn’t worth arguing anymore.

Absolute chaos on a Saturday evening - I'm at a loss for words... After a warning that today the meal would unfortunately take a maximum of 40 minutes, we were still sitting at the table after 1.5 hours without eating. In the meantime, several tables left without food and with complaints. Others got the wrong dishes - sometimes even though they arrived much later than us - so you see your food end up at the next table without anyone reacting to it. Waiters are completely overwhelmed and don't even know their own dishes. After 1.5 hours of unsuccessful waiting, we set off - that was our first and last visit to Zorbas. All in all, it's like a bad RTL2 kitchen horror show that you unfortunately can't turn off. For the replacement Viennese at home I give a full 5*

Last night we made reservations for 5 people. There were guests at many tables who seemed to have been waiting for their food for a long time. The boss explained to us that we have to wait 35 to 40 minutes for our food. Wasn't a problem. After we had waited 60 minutes, 5 new guests came and sat down at a table in the next room, but we could easily see them. They also noticed immediately that many guests had been waiting for their food for a long time. At this point 4 of the 5 side salads arrived. The guests at the other table could also order immediately. Then came the worst case scenario!!! 10 minutes later the food was served!!! But it wasn't their food, but the 5 different dishes we ordered!!! They looked at each other in surprise because they knew it wasn't their food! They immediately started eating with big grins. We no longer had the opportunity to react in any way. After waiting 75 minutes, my wife also got her starter salad!!! After 80 minutes, we decided to pull the ripcord. We just wanted to drink in peace and then leave the restaurant. I wanted to let the boss know about this. As we stood in front of the kitchen, we heard him yelling in the kitchen! Then he came out and yelled at us about what we wanted from him. My explanation that we hadn't waited 35 to 40 minutes, but now 90 minutes, didn't interest him at all. On the contrary, he continued to shout at us! Why would we yell at him, which is a joke because both my daughter and I remained absolutely calm throughout the entire conversation!!! He shouted why we had no respect! Why we would stress! Why we would be so evil! Why we would be so angry! Sorry, but there was only one person who was completely crazy and that was him. He insulted and discriminated against my 26 year old daughter without hesitation!!! When she spoke to him very calmly and tried to explain to this man why we were leaving, the situation escalated completely!!! He yelled at my daughter, "Why is this woman talking to me? Does she have no respect? Why is she yelling at me?" He kept making the same accusations, but it was all just shouting!!!!! This guy wore a big cross around his neck! Apparently someone grabbed the wrong amulet when they got up in the morning!!!!

Greek Roulette: You order something at the beginning and hope to get something to eat after an hour. Ultimately, very few people get anything and those who do get something get the wrong thing. It sometimes happens that some people eat their dessert while others starve at the same table.

Unfortunately our food was forgotten. Those at the next table came later and got their food. After an hour and a half and asking 3 times, we went and wanted to pay for the drinks but the nice boss said we didn't have to pay for the drinks.

Good, but it can be even better, Have to change my mind, maybe the chef changed but now it's super good and beautifully presented on the plate. I'll definitely go there again or more often

We were here on a short vacation in the area and were looking for a good Greek restaurant and found it here. The boss was very friendly to us and quickly brought drinks and took our order. The food came in less than 20 minutes and what can we say it was very, very tasty!! (The Bifteki is incredibly tasty and the best I've ever had!) We were completely satisfied and would come again if we are in the area!! thank you for the hospitality

Very good cuisine and attentive staff

The food was rather below average: at the Greek restaurant for Bifteki rocket with balsamic vinegar?? The starter tzatziki was 3 mini spoons side by side drizzled with olive oil. Without olive and without bread. The gyros were unfortunately cold and the shrimp seemed to be leftover from the lunch buffet: dry and hard. That was the second visit. A third party will not follow

So far everything has always been great. But they've slowed down quite a bit recently. Village plate without fries (although they are on the menu), two heaps of rice and a few spoonfuls of gyros and no salad. The whole thing for €5 more. After 15 minutes with empty glasses we were finally allowed to pay. Maybe it was Mother's Day, but that's not possible with the competition.

A PITY Yesterday we were back at the now "regular Greek" after a few weeks have passed. At first we were surprised why there was nothing going on in the outdoor area at 6 p.m. on a Saturday in the best summer weather - it's usually so full that you have to be lucky to get a seat. The first shock: Gyros calamari now costs 18 euros! We were expecting a correspondingly large portion... Pita with tzatziki was ordered as a starter. We only got the tzatziki... When we asked, we also got the pita. At some point the murmur from the only occupied table next door became louder: Food was being handed out that they didn't order - logically, ours was too! When we asked, the waiter brought the food from the neighboring table to us. The taste was still very good. But everything else is cheeky. There are fewer gyros and instead of fries there are only 2 small rice “batzers”. We actually always order the same thing and this time we paid exactly €10 more than usual. Since the service was, to say the least, "improvable", that was it for Zorbas. It's a shame - it was THE top address for us. How this can be reduced to such a level remains a mystery to me. My original 5-star rating will of course be revised downwards. One year ago: Perfect! Everything freshly prepared, nothing warmed up and a good price. No ready-made salad à la Troiber and the rice with this fine cinnamon? - Note is a poem. The atmosphere is modern, the service is very friendly. Other Greek restaurants in the extensive surrounding area can learn a lesson from the consistently very good quality. We'd love to come back often :-)

Was at ZOBRAS again this evening and was actually disappointed! Ordered gyros with calamari again, well what can I say .. gyros cut 2 hours ago were very dry .. a little over lukewarm .. there were always a few fries with it, no longer there either, But every few weeks a new price list... a few calamari with, in my opinion, not too fresh gyros, two small blobs of rice for now €18. I have to say I don't need it anymore... I will go to the Greek restaurant again like before! Actually It's a shame, we got off to a great start!

This time they wanted to get rid of us as quickly as possible so that we could be closed. That evening we were the only guests (4 people). If I hadn't opened my mouth, everything would have been taken away from me (I hadn't even finished eating yet).

The service barely understands German

We have been here many times, but unfortunately the food has gotten worse from time to time! Today the highlight was reached, the squid was like chewing gum, the scampi was still raw, the gyros were totally flaky & very greasy,... none of the food was hot anyway! We left 3/4 of the food behind and weren't even asked if we liked the food when we cleared the plates. The Poseidon plate we had cost €46 and unfortunately it wasn't worth the money at all! We definitely ate there for the last time today! Very unfortunate...

Had lunch with two small children. We were immediately offered a table with a corner bench suitable for children. Overall the service was impressive. Reacted immediately to every eye contact without being intrusive. gave us enough time to choose the dishes with small children. Delivered very quickly after ordering. Super friendly! The dishes on the lunch menu tasted very good at a pleasant price and surprisingly large portions. Even the little ones liked the side salads very much and were also included in the lunch menu. We felt very well looked after! We also really liked the bright, stylish atmosphere. Thank you for this little “short vacation”.

Eigentlich war alles gut, aber der Gyros hatte einen extrem komischen Geschmack, konnte ich nicht essen.

Wir waren gestern mit einer größeren Gruppe im "neuen" Zorbas. Der Service, das Essen und auch die Preis-Leistung sind einfach super. Wir kommen sehr gerne wieder. 😊

Das Essen hier ist hervorragend. Das Fleisch war auf den Punkt gegart und super zart und saftig. Der Tomatenreis schmeckt sehr intensiv tomatig und nach Kräutern und auch der Beilagensalat kann sich sehen lassen. Einen Stern Abzug gibt's leider beim Ambiente, da dies für meinen Geschmack etwas zu schlicht gehalten ist. Das Preis-Leistungsverhältnis überzeugt jedoch auf ganzer Linie. Auch der Service ist mega, die Kellner sind super freundlich, aufmerksam und zuvorkommend. Kinder sind hier auch willkommen. Kommt unbedingt mal hier her, es lohnt sich.

Sehr leckeres Buffet! Man muss auf jeden Fall ein Mal probieren :) Es wird zwischen durch auch Uzo angeboten, leider konnte es nicht probieren, da ich an den Tag noch fahren müsste :(

Sehr gutes Essen, so viel das es nicht zu schaffen war. Beilagensalat und Ouzo gab's auch. Preislich sehr angenehm. 2 Hauptgerichte (Bifteki und Gyros überbacken) plus 2 Getränke für unter 35€ Definitiv empfehlenswert 👍

Preislich ok, Personal etwas konfus aber funktioniere. Hatte den Kretateller. Gute Portion, aber die Lammkoteletts innen noch roh, der Spieß sehr trocken und das Gyros etwas zu fettig. Super waren die Knoblauch Kartoffeln und der Salat. Daher nur 1 Sterne Abzug.

Waren das erste Mal da und im Garten vor der Gaststätte gesessen.Da gibt es immer was zu sehen.Essen und Service war Top.

Hier dreht sich jeder Grieche im Grabe um. Entsetzlicher Service! Wenn man mal auf sich aufmerksam macht, weil man schon 45 Min. sitzt, wird man auch noch blöd von der Bedienung angemacht. Das Essen teilweise nur Matsch und kalt. Ich will mich jetzt gar nicht weiter reinsteigern, aber ich würde sagen "Finger weg" und es gibt auch noch andere Griechen und zwar sehr gute in Vilshofen.

Endlich waren wir wieder bei Zorbas! Das Essen war wieder einmalig gut- zartes Fleisch -sehr gute Kalamaris -Zaziki traumhaft! Die Bedienung war sehr zu vorkommend und freundlich! Wir fühlten uns sehr willkommen geheissen!!! So unbedingt weitermachen! Bis hoffentlich bald wieder im Dezember nach Lockdown! Gerry

Gyros Kalamaris und das Zaziki - einfach sehr gut vom Geschmack und Temperatur. Ich gehe schon viele Jahre in dieses Restaurant und die Qualität ist stets sehr gut gewesen. Die Freundlichkeit ist auch ein Markenzeichen. So weiter machen

gerne wieder. Sehr gemütlich und lecker. Den Gästen wird Zeit gelassen ihre Speisen zu verzehren, ohne dass zwischendurch schon abgeräumt wird, Die Speisen waren vorzüglich.

Die Vorspeisen waren gut, der Beilagensalat war sehr karg und die Hauptgerichte waren unglaublich fettig und geschmacklich wirklich nicht empfehlenswert. Zudem war der Kellner extrem unfreundlich und wir wurden auch des öfteren von ihm ignoriert. Selten habe ich so schlecht beim Griechen gegessen. Das Preis Leistungsverhältnis stimmt bei Zobras leider gar nicht. Ich war das vorletzte mal nicht begeistert vom Service und vom Essen aber diesesmal war es leider noch schlechter.

Gastgarten nett durch Grün von der Straße getrennt. Alle Speisen frisch zubereitet deshalb dauerts ein Weilchen. Alles bis auf Suflaki sehr schmackhaft (ich glaube aber die gibt es in ganz Deutschland immer so trocken) Satt und zufrieden. Service ging auch in Ordnung-nur die Frage nach dem Ouzo (den ich sowieso immer ablehne) fehlte

Die Speisen waren gut und reichlich. Das Personal freundlich und bemüht. Leider waren wir früh die einzigen Gäste im Lokal.

Passing through Vilshofen and looking for somewhere to have dinner, we were attracted to this place by its cozy atmosphere and interesting menu. We arrived early, about 18:00, when only two other tables were occupied. The hostess gave us a friendly greeting, showed us to a table, and offered English-language menus without being asked. She took our drink orders, and when she returned with the drinks she took our orders for dinner. So far, so good. Then the waiting began. As more people arrived their orders were taken, and the people who were there when we arrived began being served their food. We finished our drinks and asked for another, and continued to wait. Then people who arrived after us began being served their food. Finally, after waiting nearly an hour to be served we paid for our drinks and left. There was no explanation or apology of any kind for why we were never served. Definitely not recommended, unless perhaps you’re already a regular.

Ich war mit zwei Kollegen beim Mittagessen im Zorbas - Der Grieche. Dem selbstbewußten Namen zum Trotz wurden wir von der Qualität des Essens enttäuscht. Die kurze Zeit, die zum Zubereiten der Speisen benötigt wurde, hätte uns bereits stutzig werden lassen sollen. Wir gehen grundsätzlich positiv gestimmt zum Mittagessen und suchen nicht nach Kleinigkeiten zum Kritisieren. Doch hier hatten wird den Eindruck, dass wir es mit vorgeformten Speisen aus der Gefriertruhe zu tun hatten. Sowas bekommt man im Großhandel zu Discount-Preisen als Massenware sehr günstig. Wenn ich aber ein Schnitzel mit Pommes frites bestelle habe ich den Anspruch, dass dieses Schnitzel noch von Menschenhand paniert und nicht maschinell produziert wurde. Ebenso bescheiden war das Niveau bei den griechischen "Spezialitäten" und den Salaten, die meine Kollegen gegessen hatten. Das Fertig-Dressing mit gel-artiger Konsistenz kann man bei einem Fastfood-Salat abzeptieren, aber nicht bei einem Griechen. Wir waren vom Essen sehr enttäuscht! Positiv: der Service war freundlich. Ich esse mehrmals die Woche bei verschiedenen griechischen Lokalen in ganz Bayern. Ich schätze die griechische Küche sehr. Leider gehört "Zorbas - Der Grieche" in Vilshofen nicht zu den Griechen die ich wieder aufsuchen werden.

Hier ist nicht nur die Gastfreundschaft hervor zu heben sondern auch das Essen ist hervorragend. Wir kommen immer wieder gerne.
