Restaurant Croatia - Trier in Trier

We ate here on both evenings during our short trip to Trier. (We enjoyed it so much that we went there on the second evening) Absolute recommendation!!! Very friendly staff and very tasty food. The atmosphere is very clean and attractive.

In sunny weather you can sit on the terrace with a wonderful view over the Moselle and Pallien up to the Weishaus. Coffee with milk and latte macchiato were okay, although not a bargain at 4.80 and 5.50 euros, but worth the view. But people, don't order apple strudel, it was really terrible. Chewy, rubbery dough, the base rock hard in the middle, the "vanilla sauce" a transparent sweet something, obviously without milk. The cream only comes from the spray can. Isn't worth the money.

Great little restaurant and very affordable. We had the beef salad (Croatian salad) and salmon. Amazing food and worth a visit.

Food was super tasty, even our kids liked it really well, staff 5 stars 🌟 we will definitely come back and recommend it at any time

Once again we ate very well. Totally nice and quick service. The burgers are awesome. Large salad buffet with most dishes.

The service was super friendly and the cevapcici were delicious. There is a self-service salad bar to accompany the main courses. The 19.00 euro salad from the menu is not recommended. The dishes lack a bit of passion. (Raw onions as a side dish) Otherwise, customer requests are taken into account and the card actually ranges from good and cheap to expensive.

We were really looking forward to a visit based on many recommendations and reports and were so disappointed. Our drinks had not yet been brought when our food order was taken. There were leaves in the salad buffet that were no longer edible. Regarding our meal, none of the four different dishes were hot, the fries were light and not hot either. A dish from the winter menu didn't taste as listed and the vegetables were definitely not fresh. A plate that was completely returned was not taken off the bill and when we asked about it we didn't get a correct answer. The waiters were nice and tried hard but the boss didn't make it to our table. The guests sitting behind us got their skin course, and the starters hadn't even been cleared away yet.

Was great! The waiters sometimes aren't very attentive, so only 4 stars!

Went to the restaurant around lunchtime and felt very comfortable. The service was quick and super friendly. The portions are large and tasty. Great taste and great value for money! Had the specialties Cevapcici and the minced steak. Both very tasty. There is definitely a plus point for the absolutely charming service. Plus, the latte macchiato is homemade! Thumbs up. Tippi Toppi!

Such a lovely place! Went there with a friend for a cocktail and some small bite. The staff is extremely friendly and polite, the drinks were lovely and the fries fresh. I would totally recommend, and I’m sure if I visit Trier again, I’ll go back in. Gorgeous view only adds to the whole scenery. A++++

I haven't seen the inside of the place or location for years. Yesterday I was invited and the food was picked up as Croatia doesn't deliver food! I had “Cordon bleu “Zagreb” schnitzel filled with ham and cheese, garnished with French fries, curry rice and salad €20.50*". The cordon bleu was very good and almost still warm. The fries were cold and of an unacceptable consistency. The curry rice, which is why I ordered the menu, was missing. Everything was carelessly "thrown" into the packaging and overpriced at €20.50. I was glad that I didn't order a vegetable platter, it was absolutely nothing without sauce. Restaurants that don't deliver takeaway food don't offer.

Very nicely located on the Moselle. That was pretty much the best thing. Service .. the young woman really tried hard and tried to run the store as best she could on her own. The lords of creation were busy eating and smoking themselves. We can say about the food... The fries were good, the rest were warmed up and fried.

As some of you already know, we often travel by bike. Of course we often drive past Zurlauben. Last time we stopped at Croatia. Since we often pushed past, cycling is forbidden on the promenade, we examined the really delicious looking plates. It was definitely the right decision to come here. We ordered the BBQ burger, we can only say it was awesome!!! Price performance, as they always say... Top! Really delicious, really a lot, my second lunch the next day. The service was very attentive, the boss was in service himself, which doesn't always happen! A clear recommendation for us. I'm sure we'll come back here next time we cycle!

ATTENTION ⚠️ You order roast beef and get something else but not roast beef. It's funny, after you've pointed out the condition, she pokes at the plate and explains that this is pork meat.

I was really disappointed with my visit to this restaurant. First of all, the salad was only served with vinegar, instead of a proper dressing. This was not only tasteless but also unpleasant to eat. I would have expected much more for the overpriced prices. As if that wasn't enough, the toilet was in a dirty condition - absolutely unacceptable! I definitely won't be back and can't recommend this restaurant.

Fast, good, very friendly service. We've only been there once but we'll be back. In summer there is a beautiful terrace with a view over the Moselle

Beautifully located on the Moselle. But that was it. The food was cold, but the wine was warm. When I tried to explain this to the waiter, he didn't understand me. The salad consisted essentially of canned ingredients but cost almost €20. I wouldn't visit again.

We had a drink here on the terrace, after we had done a boat trip on the Moselle, and we drove back to the Netherlands, the staff member was not really friendly, which is a shame.

The service is pleasant. The magnificent setting opposite the Moselle. I ate the chicken escalope too dry and poorly accompanied. Maybe the other dishes are better. In any case, it's very nice on the terrace in summer.

Nice atmosphere, we enjoyed eachothers company and the lovely summer evening. The food did not quite met our expectations but at the other hand the bill was lower than expected. So overall an average experience but a night to remember.

Wir waren zum ersten Mal beim Croatia und zum letzten Mal. Es war zwar ein Fest, aber das Essen war enttäuschend. Der Kellner machte auch nicht darauf aufmerksam das es ein Salatbuffet gibt. Also gab es keinen Salat zum Teller oder es wäre lauwarm geworden. Die Freundlichkeit des Personals ist als Unlustig zu bezeichnen. Positiv ist die Lage, schöne Außenterrasse .

The pizza was good 5 years ago... from 2023 to today the quality has deteriorated so much that it no longer tastes good! A pity! Today was the last time... it's probably only designed for tourism

We ordered a salad from the buffet it wasn't delicious neither fresh , and Flammkuchen 4 cheese was very small and almost without cheese, my first and last time here

Die Lage ist toll. Das Personal ist sehr nett und aufmerksam. Leider ist das Essen von schlechter Qualität. (Hackfleisch ist zu fest und trocken, Nackenkotlett ist zu fettig und schlecht gegrillt/gebraten) Es ist mehr Imbissniveau als Speiserestaurant. Hie haben wir schon viele viel bessere kroatische Restaurants kennengelernt. Hier ist absolut viel Luft nach oben.

2 small cappuccinos for 9 euros is overpriced for this atmosphere. Terrace not maintained and no cushions on the chairs. Unfortunately the beautiful one opens Neighboring restaurant Alt Zurlauben only opens at 3 p.m

Visited this restaurant located on a nice path along the Moselle River. I waited for a while but eventually was told to sit anywhere. The meal eventually arrived but I had to get my salad from a salad bar and my own cutlery. The food portion was good though it was a bit expensive for what I ate and the soft drink Fanta cost 3:50 euros! I had a better meal the next day in the city centre for half the price!

Die Lage des Restaurants ist wunderbar. Der Kellner war auch sehr nett und aufmerksam. Leider war das Essen sehr enttäuschend. Wir hatten einen Tunasalat, der letztlich aus einer geschnitten Tomate auf Olivenöl und Essig, dicken Zwiebelscheiben und darüber gekipptem Tunfisch aus der Dose bestand.

Cappuccino €4.50 / Latte Macchiato €5.50... it's probably not possible, it's a complete rip-off! I have no reason to justify this (other than greed for profit). :-(

Restaurant and food were good. Of course, due to the location, the price is very high for 2 adults and 2 children. We paid 95 euros. However, we were full.

We were there on Sunday. A complete disaster!! The service couldn't speak German, the glasses weren't washed, the food was frozen. Just awful! I can only advise against everyone!

For the first time in Trier. Headed to the Croatia restaurant and was pleasantly surprised that there were a lot of bikers and a rock band there. Really cool 😎 And I thought that there was only wine & stößchen on the Moselle 😉 In any case, we first had an Alsatian tarte flambée, which tasted delicious because we were really hungry, but was actually a bit too crispy. Therefore one star less. Otherwise, the main course was Cordon Bleu with fries and self-service salad. Everything was perfect here 👍🏻 The service was super friendly 👍🏻

The main course was very good, the starters were slightly overpriced, the salad bar had unfortunately been looted and I didn't want to go there again on suspicion. Drinks were nice and big, beer was great on tap! But you had to speak to the waiters for supplies. The ambience is so-so, you either sit in the passage of the entrance and the passage to the kitchen or the Zurlauben exit, so always in the passage. Upstairs, the kitchen bell constantly rings when the next meal is ready. Good value for money, but flavor enhancers are in almost every meal. I spent 1:30-2:40 on the toilet plus a 10 minute shower because I was dripping wet with sweat. Probably won't go there again, but would recommend it to any meat lover if you like pork. If I were to go again, it would be for steak or pizza.

It was very beautiful and delicious. The service was a little pushy and could hardly speak German. So he probably didn't really understand that we wanted to have our food packed. This was actually forgotten. And we had to inform the service again that we would like to take the food away. One service worker then said something to the other in a loud tone (in a different language). After about 5 minutes the box with the remaining food came to take away. I had fish and ate it all and my girlfriend had a vegetarian burger. When we got home, we looked at the food and asked ourselves how a fish bone came from my friend's vegetarian burger. We would rather not imagine how and ask for a statement.
