Pane Vino in Trier

Yeah, not everything went smoothly 😔. There were 10 of us, the pizza toppings were mixed up, and we had to wait ages for service. The pizza knife was dull, so we had to eat with our hands. It was very loud, and there were lots of small children there (8/9 pm). The feeling was that tourists weren't welcome 🫣.

The table was dirty, even though it had been wiped down. The toilets were dirty. The mushrooms were inedible. The oven-baked vegetables were black. It stank of drains and the pizza was burnt, even though they were out of pizza. This was already the second disappointing visit.

I was at Pane Vino in Trier. The atmosphere was nice, and the seating was very comfortable. Unfortunately, the seafood pasta wasn't particularly tasty. The chicken pasta, on the other hand, was considerably more delicious. The service was okay.

The pizza (Stagioni) was catastrophically prepared, with excessive cheese toppings. Everything tasted quite cheap, like it was lacking in the vegetables and sausage toppings. The bruchetta starter was inedible because it was covered in oil and the tomatoes were watery. According to other people, the pasta dishes were tasteless. The service was OK.

We've been here several times now, but my feedback is always the same: Top-notch service, friendly, courteous, warm, and attentive. Food is delicious, fresh, served at a good temperature, and very tasty. Drinks: a delight for the palate and a perfect complement to the meal. Be it a spritzer or the wine selection.

A pleasant restaurant in a good location. Service was quick, but not particularly friendly. The quality of the food doesn't compare to other Italian restaurants; attention to detail is lacking. Okay for a one-time satisfying meal, but for a special meal, I'd go elsewhere.

I ate here three times this week. The food is delicious, but one waiter is incredibly antisocial and rude. He's completely unfriendly and drives customers away with his behavior. Otherwise, 5 stars.

The restaurant makes a nice impression at first glance. Unfortunately, there are some significant shortcomings. The restrooms are very dark and not particularly clean. The food was also disappointing: I can't recommend the beef noodles – the so-called steak strips weren't strips at all, but rather large pieces that were also very tough and stringy. What was particularly shocking was that I found a maggot at the end of my plate (see photo). The waiter initially tried to explain it as seafood, but later said it was from the tomatoes. You should expect more care in a restaurant. Overall, there's still a lot of room for improvement.

When we came to pay, we were told the price was €150. When we asked for the receipt, we were shown a price of €100. The cashier apparently didn't know anything and said we had misheard. The food itself was good, but the service left a lot to be desired.

Today, July 31, 2025 Visited Trier. Beautiful city. Finally, we had a delicious meal at Pane Vino. The waiter, perhaps also co-owner, was super friendly and the whole team was quick to respond. The food, Pizza Diavolo and Penne Arabiata, were very tasty. It came with spicy oil. Good portions and great value for money! Plus, the shop is located on a lovely little square off the touristy main street. That's what good food looks like!!

I ate a salad that was drenched in ready-made dressing. I've never had such a bad salad. The service was very unfriendly.

We ate there and everything was great, and a woman next to us ordered a pizza without cheese and complained that it was dry, which was really funny. That's why I'm even writing a review.

They did not keep us waiting at all. They gave us an empty table that we wanted. They were polite and respectful. Our food was as we wanted. Their pizzas were very delicious. Unfortunately, the food wasn't good. The pasta in cream sauce tasted absolutely nothing, and the pasta was overcooked. One of the servers was very friendly and accommodating, while the other was incredibly rude and almost aggressive in her service.

This restaurant is one of the worst restaurants ever. On top of that, the service was absolutely unfriendly. If you want to spoil your stomach in Trier, this is the place to go. The restaurant's location is actually quite nice. Unfortunately, the restaurant's decor feels cold and dark.

We just had to have lunch and we were satisfied with what we got. The pasta was delicious and the portions were large, the staff was friendly. What we didn't finish was gladly packed with us. The berry lemonade is also super tasty and beautifully decorated. We were there on Sunday, there were almost no people. The prices are not low, but quite justified. Delicious on site. Service was consistently friendly and prompt. The ambiance inside and outside was also appealing and cozy. A week later, we ordered takeout. When we got home, we were extremely disappointed. The pizza bread (€6.90) was paper-thin and partially burnt, meaning it was inedible. Two pizzas were only lightly topped, meaning about a quarter of the pizza was just tomato sauce. The carpaccio was okay, but only had a few crumbs of grated Parmesan cheese on it. We were extremely disappointed.

If you love pizza, you shouldn't miss the Vera Burrata at Pane Vino. The base is thin, crispy, and baked just right in a wood-fired oven—slightly charred on the outside, still moist on the inside. The fresh ingredients speak for themselves: fruity tomato sauce, aromatic arugula, and, as the highlight—creamy, melt-in-the-mouth burrata that blends perfectly with the warm crust.

We were there yesterday and everything was great.

We spontaneously walked in and were totally surprised to go out to eat in a nice location, we enjoyed it very much, the staff is cool, the price-performance ratio is right, we will be happy to come back, thank you again

Had dinner at this pizzeria tonight. It is located on a pleasant square and looks attractive. However, the food was not good. The bruschetta tasted good, but the pasta al salmone dripped with fat and was far too rich, the insalata caprese lacked the fresh basil. The staff did not welcome us warmly upon arrival, and the smell from the kitchen, pizza oven, was not pleasant. We skipped the coffee. I wouldn't start because it was expensive too.

Very good, large pizzas. But cold service, without a smile or even unfriendly since we don't speak German and it is difficult to be understood, the waiter making no effort. More traders who make a living from tourism while despising tourists.

We had dinner here at the end of a day in Trier. Absolutely no problem even with a dog. The waiters were all very courteous, friendly and in a good mood. None of the boys gave you the feeling that they weren't interested, which is no longer a given today. We both had pizza and it was great too. The "cart wheels" were so big that I took the rest of my bike with me, which was no problem at all. The price is absolutely okay for such a large pizza. My best friend then ordered a tiramisu, which was one of the best things she has ever eaten. (and she is very critical when it comes to tiramisu) Happy to keep it up

The worst restaurant in Trier! Without a doubt. This is the worst restaurant I have ever eaten at. The pasta was completely tasteless, without even a hint of salt. When I asked the waiter, he replied that they don't put salt on the plates here, because customers have to add it themselves at the table. It already seems absurd like this, but even more ridiculous was the fact that the octopus, on the other hand, was excessively salty. The service was also bad. The waiter always had an annoyed expression, as if we owed him money. He just didn't seem to want to work and was extremely rude to customers. Not to mention the sweet potatoes - they were totally burnt! A real shame for Italian cuisine!

We were there for dinner with 9 people. The food was good, except for the salads, which didn't taste like anything. Unfortunately, service wasn't really there. It all took a very long time and you had to actively ask for the conditions to get new drinks. Ambiance is very nice.

Despite the low table occupancy, we had to wait about 20 minutes for the drinks. There were no allergens listed on the menu. When we asked, we were told that no substances were used that could cause allergies. Nevertheless, we both felt nauseous after eating, with corresponding further consequences.

Spacious place, good dishes and pleasant and fast service. Without a doubt recommended to eat in the city center.

Last Saturday I visited Pane Vino with two friends, not my first visit there. We've always been happy so far, but on Saturday we were really excited 👍🏻 this afternoon topped it off again. Although there was a lot going on and we spontaneously went to eat, we were assigned a table straight away by the super nice waiter. Although we had to move around because someone else came without a reservation, that wasn't a problem at all and didn't bother us at all. The staff was very nice. But we really liked our waiter with his friendly and funny manner. Great 👍🏻 kudos to him. We were completely satisfied and special requests were responded to promptly. We'll definitely be back 👍🏻

We were totally thrilled! You come in and immediately feel at home. Super nice service, cozy atmosphere, the food was fresh and very tasty! Nice background music at a pleasant volume. The room temperature was not too warm and not too cold (I personally think it's important to mention). Really highly recommended and we will definitely come back for dinner more often!!

We were there in a group of ten people. What can I recommend going there with a large group and the service was also great, because the employees were quick to oblige and also had a very positive first impression. There was always bread with olives and a spicy oil to satisfy a small hunger. There wasn't actually a long wait for the main courses as we had to wait around 15-20 minutes for our dishes to be ready. My personal favorite was ravioli filled with porcini mushrooms and cheese. The drinks were also very tasty, very well prepared and price-wise you can get by very well with €30 for a single person. All I can say about the ambience of the restaurant is that it is very pleasant. You enjoy listening to the music in the background and the lighting is pleasant so you can dine there in peace.

Wir waren mit 8 Personen da, beim Bezahlen wollte ich eine Gutscheinkarte von 70€ anwenden, diese wurde für ungültig erklärt, jedoch einbehalten, mit der Aussage, dass dieser nicht mehr gültig ist, wegen Besitzerwechsel. Dieses ist jedoch im Internet für den Verbraucher nicht ersichtlich, denn der Name und das Logo des Restaurant haben sich nicht geändert, man hat uns mit einer Flasche Wein abgefertigt, daher nie wieder, das ist totale Abzocke.

For me the best Italian in Trier. Huge, tasty pizza, excellent pasta dishes, great ambience, very friendly service. I have only eaten pizza like this twice in Germany. In Stuttgart and in Dangast. This Italian is a must in Trier. Addendum 09/24: On our last visit all the dishes were quite tasteless. Pasta, salad, meat. We had to season everything properly. One star deducted.

Visiting Trier and ended up in the piazza behind the Konstantine Basillika in the heart of the Haupmarkt. Stumbled on an eatery off the main square that had customers eating outside in the late summer sun. Food look good so have it a go. We were greeted by our host who gave as an extremely warm welcome and gave us English menus to help us order and placed us on a quiet table outside. Inside, the restaurant was warm & inviting where your pizza could be seen being made. Menu had a very good selection of different Italian foods from various meats, fish & poultry & of course, pasta & pizzas. We selected a pane special pizza & a pane cesera, Milano pasta & salad all to share. All the food was fresh, hot & fabulously tasty. No complaints from anyone on the table. Food was great value for money & the service and attention was very good.

Four of us dined at Pane Vino on a Friday evening. The restaurant wasn't very full at that point. Shortly after we sat down, a waitress came and put some bread with aioli and the cards at the table. A look at the cards immediately showed that a lot of emphasis is placed on quality here. Homemade pasta with the typical classics of Italian cuisine. The service was always present without being intrusive. We ordered snails and marinated sardines as starters. Both were excellent and very tasty. The portions are absolutely suitable for an appetizer. For the main course we chose salad, pizza, gnocchi and pasta. All the dishes were very, very good and the portions were almost too well-intentioned. In summary: we would come back at any time. The food was absolutely delicious and successful! The service was great and the atmosphere was very cozy.

We spontaneously chose this Italian restaurant and didn't regret it. It was very busy, but we were still well looked after by the attentive waiters (accompanied to the table, handed a card,...). The only drawback was the description of the size of the pizzas. Big is huge here and so we had to admit defeat to this pizza. The quality is right, the price is reasonable. We'd love to come back.
