Restaurant Chaplìn in Hamburg

Unfortunately I can't understand all the positive reviews. The decor is rustic and old and unfortunately it is very dirty there. Lots of stamens on the lamps and seating. We waited a long time for the food and it was ok, but definitely nothing more. The service was nice and friendly, you can't say anything about that. Unfortunately I can't recommend Chaplin!

Probably THE address when it comes to fresh beef liver! HAMMER!!! A MUST visit if you like perfect beef liver with mashed potatoes! UPDATE 09/16/2024 Unfortunately the restaurant has a new owner and also a new chef. The result..... The taste of the liver is okay, but..... But also just okay.... The pictures that I uploaded here then and TODAY are light years apart. The service ladies try very hard, but.... If you knew this before, then.... Sorry.... We won't be coming back!

Food was good. Service very friendly. Card payment not possible, which would be desirable.

Unfortunately that was nothing. Neither the food, the service nor the ambience made anything good. The positive reviews here are completely incomprehensible to us.

Dear Ercan, I had a long, sad time and today you fulfilled my heart's desire with fried potatoes and a fried egg. Thank you, kind regards from Sabine Went to dinner at Chaplin today, May 28, 2024. Unfortunately there have been changes there that, in my opinion, don't fit there. I ate fried potatoes with a fried egg, it was seasoned very well, but unfortunately the kick was missing: bacon. In Hamburg you eat fried potatoes with bacon and there was no small salad. I also can't understand why they took pork off the menu...we eat pork here in Germany. Why do we have to eat ourselves? adjust. I think it should be the other way around because I can eat as much pork as I want. It's a real shame, the Chaplin in Ercan's time was very popular with German cuisine. In winter, kale with smoked pork, cooked sausage, bacon. Etc.

We were in Hamburg for a short detour and were looking for a restaurant where you could eat something delicious and came across the Chaplin based on the reviews. We weren't disappointed! The food is delicious, the service is friendly, the chef is great, the place is cozy and you come in and feel welcome. Thank you!

Left me to the toilet, no one else could use the toilet at the kebab shop, unfortunately it was suspiciously defective.

We ate there for the first time today. The service was super nice and very attentive, the food was tasty and the prices were more than reasonable. Definitely coming back!

Cozy dining room...delicious food...the entire staff was friendly, courteous, and asked if everything was ok...the chef should get at least 3 stars...a pleasure to dine there...

The food was super tasty and left nothing to be desired. We tried everything from fish to steak. Very cozy, friendly and familiar restaurant with a warm atmosphere. Hatice in particular was very friendly and gave us really excellent service. Always my pleasure !

Gemütliches kleines Lokal mitten in Rothenburgsort / Hamburg. Das Essen, Currywurst mit Pommes sehr lecker. Der Salat dazu sehr erfrischend. Preis Leistung absolut passend.

Rustikales Restaurant mit ehrlichen Gerichten. Ich hatte einen Filterkaffee und Rinderleber mit Kartoffelpürre und Zwiebeln. Der Preis war fair und passt zum Gericht und zur Menge. Ich werde wieder kommen und mehr probieren.

Sehr nett und freundlich. Gutes Essen und große Portionen. Sehr faire Preise. Gerne wieder!

Inhabergeführtes Restaurant mit kleiner Karte. Dafür ist alles frisch und mit Liebe zubereitet. Für jeden Geschmack ist etwas dabei. Man kann drinnen gemütlich sitzen und auch draußen sind viele Tische. Ich komme gerne wieder und kann es jedem empfehlen.

Super tolles Restaurant ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ Wir waren hier im Urlaub. Ein sehr lieber zuvorkommender Chef.. Kleine übersichtliche Karte, mit frischen Zutaten.. total gemütlich und ruhig gelegen.. Parkmöglichkeiten sind ausreichend gegeben.. Das Essen war sehr lecker und es kam heiß an unseren Platz. Sehr zu empfehlen, es ist ein Besuch Wert. Wir kommen definitiv wieder.

An amazing place where the food is exceptionel good. The waiter was warm and welcoming. Before we Got our food we recieved bread and a small salat which was super delious. The main corse was a gourmet Experience! I would highly recommend place to everyone

Gutes Lokal mit einer schönen Auswahl an Speisen und herzlichen Gastgebern. Die Speisen findet man auf der Karte vor dem Lokal. Für jeden ist etwas dabei. Das Preis-Leistungsverhältnis stimmt dabei sehr. Alles in allen sehr zu empfehlen und die Top-Adresse in der Gegend.

Das Chaplin kann ich zu 100% empfehlen, das Essen war trotz der unerwarteten Größe unserer Gruppe perfekt und es war sehr gemütlich und freundlich. Wir kommen auf jeden Fall wieder!

Pizza war sehr fettig....die Erbsensuppe war gut. Gibt keine Speisekarte ....nur die Gerichte die auf der Tafel stehen.
