Exorbitante Preise für das Essen und die Getränke.Qualität schlecht.Service aufdringlich, unangemessen. Hatten uns auf einen schönen Abend mit Freunden mit kulturellem Erlebnis gefreut und wurden bitter enttäuscht. Das kulturelle Erlebnis war sehr gut, die gastronomische Begleitung ein Reinfall.

Hvis du sætter næsen op efter ægte spansk mad, må jeg desværre fortælle, at du vil blive slemt skuffet. Muslinger og rejer fra frost. Derudover var betjeningen meget arrogant på grænsen til at være flabet.

Waren während unseres Urlaubes im Café Madrid zum Abendessen gewesen und wurden nicht enttäuscht. Super Services und tolle und leckere Speisen. Wir können das Café Madrid nur empfehlen. Es ist ein Besuch wert, der gerne Tapas essen möchte.

Großartige, nette und angenehme Bedienung, hervorragende und herzhafte Speisen, nettes Ambiente. Der Besuch lohnt sich.

Gingen er 5 jaar geleden ook weleens iets eten. Vonden het altijd goed de tapas dus dachten we gaan wat tapas eten. Het viel wat tegen . Patatas brava dreef in de saus en was koud. De rest was ook minder kwaliteit als jaren terug.Jammer

Wir waren Sonntag abends hier. Die Reservierung klappte einwandfrei. Die Speisekarte ist zwar etwas überfrachtet, aber das muss wahrscheinlich so sein. Das Essen war sehr lecker, der Service sehr freundlich und angenehm. Das Ambiente ist sehr ansprechend. Es könnte etwas laut sein, wenn es mal voll besetzt ist.

The food is not what I expected. The classic steak with side dishes, I would have preferred food instead traditional home-style, to feel like I'm eating in a Spanish restaurant. The coffee is very good, you have nothing to choose from, too few options, likewise, I think a Spanish-specific dessert would have been beastly Inside the restaurant is gorgeous, Spanish decorations and paintings, uncovered terrace, no ambient music. The tapas came quickly and were tasty. Unfortunately the churro's were totally greasy and not good. The restaurant manager apologized. But they were still on the bill. At around 7:30 p.m. the restaurant was full and therefore it was very loud and uncomfortable. We decided to have a second glass of wine somewhere else.

After more than a year we were guests here again. This time we tried our way through the many small tapas. Starting with olives, aioli, cheese, in between all kinds of meat, fish, potatoes and... finally the dessert variation. Wine and a digestive schnapps are also included! We were thrilled again, it tasted great. Our waiter was very nice and gave us enough time between courses. We had a nice little break from everyday life! And be sure to reserve! This is how all restaurants in Leipzig should operate! Great service, the guest is still the focus here. If you want something special, I can only recommend Café Madrid. I have been an occasional guest for several years and have never been disappointed. The inner courtyard with outdoor seating is particularly recommended in summer. Reservations are essential here. The staff is polite and courteous. The food is of consistent quality. My favorite is the Variación de Tapas Grande “Café Madrid” (large tapas variation) for just under 60 euros. This will easily feed 2 people. A bottle of Cochino red wine rounds off the evening. The ambience inside is also impressive. Thanks for the pleasant evening, keep it up!

This was our second time at Cafe Madrid and again we were not disappointed. The service staff is very friendly and always tries to fulfill the guests' wishes as quickly as possible. The food was also perfect again. We were there in a large group and all the food was served at the same time and still hot. Not to mention the taste - simply heavenly. You almost feel like you've been transported to Spain. The location is also very nicely designed, but it is a bit noisy when there are a lot of guests present. Of course there's not much you can do about it, as it's most likely due to the architecture. It shouldn't seem like that either. The rest is really more than great and absolutely recommended!

Very tasty tapas place. We were there as a large group and our waiter memorized every order without any errors and was able to assign them to the individual people without asking. I was very impressed with the service. The taste was fantastic too. However, unfortunately it remains a rare and special visit due to the prices.

Very good Spanish, extensive tapas selection in a stylish location. Tasty, nicely prepared and on the table very quickly. The staff is quick, friendly and attentive. The wine list also leaves nothing to be desired (or our demands are not exotic enough). The price is rather high, but not exorbitant and worth every cent. We had two fantastic evenings there and really enjoyed it. Highly recommended for a sophisticated tapas evening.

It was a great evening. Be sure to reserve in advance as the restaurant is in high demand among both locals and tourists. The cuisine is excellent and good wines accompany the tapas. The price segment is in the mid-range €€ to €€€. The service also left nothing to be desired; it was service-oriented without being intrusive. The only downside: 2 hours per guest & table are planned. I can imagine that 2 hours is not enough for a big, cozy group of friends;*) We liked it very much. We'll definitely be back.

Chicken breast fillet and fish platter were delicious, but we actually went back there to eat tapas. The tapas prices shocked us so much that we decided not to try them. The ambience is more pleasant in the warm season, it was very cool in the restaurant for the time of year.

The restaurant was quite busy for a weekday. The ambience is well done and the toilets were very clean. As a starter we had the large tapas. They were enough for 5 people (€60) and tasty. The disappointment was the main course, which was supposed to be Iberico pork. Unfortunately, the typical nutty taste and tenderness were missing. The meat was already sliced ​​and relatively firm when served. The waitress briefly commented on our complaint and then only took care of us in a taciturn manner. This is much better and can be requested here. The red house wine is not recommended as it is very thin. Unfortunately a disappointment.

On Friday evening we had made reservations for dinner with 5 women. It was very crowded and very loud, but that's just how it is in a location like this. The food was mostly delicious, some tapas were a bit bland in the bowl, the price/performance ratio wasn't quite right. Example: I ordered baked sheep's cheese with olives and bread so that I could have bread with my tapas, otherwise you have to order a small basket of bread for 3 EU. Olives, plural, yes, there were exactly 2 olives. One green and one black. As far as the bread was concerned, there was an unpleasant incident, 3 of us 5 women had ordered a dish with bread, one woman had ordered bread separately. But we only got bread three times, and since no one came to the table until we ordered the bill, we were only able to complain about the missing bread then. The service staff reacted very angrily to my suggestion that we be given the fourth additional bread basket that had been ordered and not served, and argued that the additional bread basket had been brought and that the missing one was from the baked sheep's cheese, which I only had one of anyway I would be entitled to half a bread basket (which was not clear from the map), and if I wanted to make a fuss about a euro difference for a missing half bread basket! She is only human! Mistakes happen! (That's true, but delivered in an aggressive tone it's hard to accept as an excuse for an oversight...) I tentatively objected that the bread basket was charged at 3 euros on the menu and therefore half of it would be 1.50 euros , but then gave up because of the aggressive tone of the waitress and asked her, for the sake of peace, to charge everything at full price. My change was then given to me in the smallest coins down to cents. I understand that things can get stressful on a Friday evening, but I found it extremely disappointing that the problem couldn't be dealt with a little more generously.

We were here for the first time for Valentine's Day. The interior is very nice and cozy. The staff very friendly and attentive. When ordering food we wanted to change a side dish due to an intolerance. The employee was unsure whether this was possible and had to ask in the kitchen. This was simply a matter of switching from peppers and leeks to green beans. This seemed very strange to us. Extremely fast, approx. After 15-20 minutes, we got our food. We were pleasantly surprised as it was very busy in the restaurant. Unfortunately, the pork was so tough and dry that it was difficult to cut even with a steak knife. The mashed potatoes (very commendable since they were homemade) were incredibly dry, there was no salt and there were still 3 harder, larger pieces of potato (2-3cm). All 3 types of fish, like the pork, unfortunately died twice, were very dry and firm. We suspected that the food had been warmed up. We also expressed all of this to the staff. He apologized several times and consulted with the kitchen. A few minutes later he came back with the answer: "It has to be that way!" Since he himself seemed embarrassed by this answer, he apologized again. Despite great service, we didn't give a tip. For 2 meals and 4 drinks over 80 euros for this quality is not justified. We would have at least expected, for example, a coffee as an apology. Furthermore, there was no Spanish music playing, just hard rock to rock! It's a shame and won't be happening again.

A meal at Café Madrid is a must for us when we go for a stroll in Leipzig. There is fast, friendly service and very tasty food there. We recommend the restaurant without reservation.

For the second time, the food was above criticism. Unfortunately you wait a quarter of an hour for a waiter. Even if the drinks finally come straight away, the whole thing doesn't hide the fact that it's aimed at tourists, i.e. customers who don't come back. If you come here to grab something quick to eat before or after the cinema, you've come to the right place. Why, with what feels like 10 waiters, you aren't at least greeted quickly and given something to drink is a mystery to me.

For us, Café Madrid is one of the best restaurants in Leipzig. The quality of the food is without exception very good and authentic Spanish cuisine. If you love typical cuisine with its wonderful tapas, this is the right place for you. In addition to tapas variations, you can also put everything together individually. The three of us decided on the variation of 10 tapas + 1x Albondigas and we were all very full. If you want something a little more rustic you can visit the Pata Negra on the Karli. Both restaurants belong together. We know both places and are always happy to be guests. Highly Recommended!

One of the best restaurants in Leipzig. The atmosphere is a mixture between a typical restaurant and a Spanish tapas bar. The food was delicious and the waiters were really friendly. Like to come again and again.

Looking for something different, we stopped by Café Madrid today… On the one hand, we have never really tried Spanish and on the other hand, we don't know any other Spaniards in the city center 😁 The ambience seems cozy, but a bit too “atypical” for our taste, it lacks the typical Spanish flair… But that's just our personal opinion! Nanni can say negative things about the service and the menu! The service was super nice and you didn't have to wait long. The menu offers something for every taste and even if you are a guest for the first time like us, you can try out a variation of the delicacies first 👌🏼 We had a gazpacho andaluz as a starter and, as already mentioned, the tapas variations as the main course. Both tasted exceptional and there was a bit of everything. We will definitely come back and try more delicacies. We definitely have a clear recommendation if you're looking for something different than the normal locations!

Spanish food for the first time ever. I actually didn't want to go there, but then I let myself get beaten up... I shouldn't have done that. Where's the best place to start... With the service, not really that great. The waiter wasn't really friendly, looked grim the whole time and if you wanted to change something about the food you ordered, he was pretty annoyed. The ambience didn't really appeal to me either, there was no music and the restaurant wasn't that nice. The food, hmm, it took me ages to find anything at all. It didn't suit my taste at all and then I picked out something with "spicy" paprika and leek vegetables. It was supposed to be little, but unfortunately it wasn't taken seriously; half the plate was full of it. And then I bit into something extremely spicy. It really wasn't funny. All in all, no one can get me in there anymore. Shame about the money.

The place charge for every ketchup and mayonnaise 2 euro. The plates are small and very industrial taste. Wouldn't go back there.

For a person who has never been to Spain, the tapas can taste good. But a person who has been to Spain and knows Spanish food knows that there is hardly any similarity to tapas here. 1. Meatballs are usually made from ground meat. Here they are served from sausage meat. 2. Spanish style tomato sauce is very special and contains many flavors. But here you can tell that they are pureed tomatoes from a can from the supermarket. 3. The so-called Patatas Bravas have nothing in common with the actual Patatas Bravas from Spain. Instead of a real salsa brava, you get a sauce made from tomatoes... 4. Overall, the dishes are rather second-rate Spanish dishes and do not correspond to authentic Spanish cuisine.

Die Onlinereservierung hat super geklappt. Wir waren 7 Personen inkl. 3 Kinder. Das Essen war wie gewohnt ULTRALECKER - die Tapas vom Feinsten, auch die Haupt- und Kindergerichte sehr gut! Der Service war sehr nett, an einem Samstag-Abend und voll besetztem Restaurant entschuldige ich auch, dass es manchmal etwas länger gedauert hat. Ich hatte 2 Gutscheine a 60 € mit, die schon 2 Jahre abgelaufen waren. Wir waren darauf eingestellt, dass diese nicht mehr akzeptiert werden, wurden aber positiv überrascht. Wir konnten die komplette Summe anrechnen lassen. Das fanden wir wirklich außerordentlich toll!!! Vielen Dank nochmal dafür! Wir kommen auf jeden Fall sehr bald wieder!!

Die Preise sind im oberen Bereich, dafür zahlen wir aber gerne den ein oder anderen Euro mehr. Man kann bei schlechtem Wetter im großen Innenbereich gemütlich sitzen und bei Sonne natürlich im Hinterhof draußen. Unbedingt mal ausprobieren und verlieben!

Von der Qualität des Essens gibt es wenig zu bemängeln. Der Service war allerdings mehr als fragwürdig. Als unsere Kleinen etwas unruhig auf der Bank herumrutschten, meinte der Kellner, sie sollten damit aufhören, sonst würde der "Onkel" (er meinte sich selbst) böse werden. Außerdem sagte er zu unserem Kleinen (6 Jahre), dass er die Mütze abnehmen soll. Da er selbst vier oder fünf Neffen hätte, wüsste er, wie man mit Kindern umgeht. Ich selbst hätte ihn gerne mehr als deutlich darauf angesprochen. Da ich aber meiner Familie zuliebe den Besuch nicht "verderben" wollte, blieb ich ruhig. Fazit: Wir werden nie wieder dort hingehen und raten jedem, der mit Kindern dort essen gehen möchte, davon ab. Schade, da das Essen wirklich gut ist.
