Restaurant & Café Hanschick in Lübbenau/Spreewald

Wir haben dort zu sechst einen schönen Abend verbracht. Das Essen war geschmacklich und von der Größe gut. Das Personal war freundlich und zuvorkommend. Kann man nur weiterempfehlen.

We were hungry yesterday after a long day outside in the fresh air and found this restaurant and cafe. We arrived around 4:45 p.m. The choice of food was far more than expected. We had the roulades, “the steak with a difference”, the schnitzel with mushrooms and the daily special: 1/4 duck with potatoes and red cabbage. All 5 meals were delicious in their own way. I particularly enjoyed the red cabbage that came with my roulade. The mustard-onion-cucumber sauerkraut was also a bit heavy on mustard, but it still tasted good with the steak. Certainly also to grease the roulade. I found it tasty, at least in combination. 😅 You can definitely do it again for a detour. The service is also very nice and attentive. The dessert was also delicious. A sweet ending to a nice day with our friends.

The restaurant with a small beer garden is very nice, the food is also very tasty, the schnitzels are made in-house (you can hear it) and the portion of chanterelles was appropriate for the price. The service staff very friendly

We arrived shortly before closing time!!! Nevertheless, the service was friendly, courteous and the food was soooo delicious, lovingly prepared and very fresh. The atmosphere is more like a café but that's not a bad thing.

Very nice restaurant near the harbor. We went out for dinner yesterday because my son was starting school and we weren't disappointed. My child has never finished his menu in a restaurant. He still raves about the delicious schnitzel here today. Us adults really enjoyed it too. In between we were always asked if we wanted anything else. Would visit this restaurant again at any time.

I really liked everything, the service and the staff were very nice and friendly. The only thing I didn't like was the cucumber salad because it was almost tasteless. Nevertheless, I give it 5 stars

Then as now, super lovely people, also the super friendly service. We were warmly welcomed again this year! The food was again very tasty, good home cooking - no frills! The older waitress was very friendly and took great care of the guests' well-being, thank you very much for that. Schnitzel with mushrooms and fried potatoes were very tasty. Here again, many thanks to the kitchen for the lovely food, we can also recommend the ice cream sundaes. Slightly older restaurant with charm, very good service and cuisine, a harmonious team. We were there with our dog. He was immediately given water, which I thought was really nice. We only ate one solyanka, it tasted great. Staff was very friendly.

I ordered Curry Wurst because that's all I knew in German. Unfortunately, there is no menu in Polish even though there are many tourists from Poland. You have to learn languages Good food, atmospheric, clean place, nice service. Good location next to the bus parking lot.

We spent two nights in the pickle barrel at Hanschicks. It was very comfortable in the barrel. The sanitary facilities were also fine, but a hairdryer would have been nice for the men. The breakfast, especially the scrambled eggs, was very tasty. The dinner consisted of really large portions and is highly recommended. The staff is also very friendly and always asks what you want.

The iced coffee drove us into the restaurant, unfortunately it was a small but nice disappointment. If you like unsweetened coffee, you will be happy. There is a scoop of vanilla ice cream inside and a cherry on top. Price was €4.90

We were drawn to the ☕ and can only recommend it. A few days later we found out that this coffee shop was also used as a filming location for the Spreewald crime thriller.

We went there to eat spontaneously today. A heavy rain shower forced us to look for shelter. We took a seat on the large covered terrace and ordered a few drinks. The service was very nice and unobtrusive. We saw the beautifully prepared food from the other guests and then decided to just stay. The menu had a lot to offer at fairly moderate prices. And what can we say, it was cooked with love and really freshly prepared. Simply delicious. Thank you

We spent the night in the cucumber barrel and had a great time! The barrels are very comfortable and the sanitary facilities are very well maintained. The breakfast completes the experience - I would recommend the stay to anyone😊😊

We ate at the local Cafe Hanschick several times during our vacation and were very satisfied with all of the dishes. The quality of all dishes was always consistently good. Fans of home cooking will be thrilled here. The friendliness of the staff can be described as familiar and you quickly feel comfortable and welcome as a guest. There was nothing to complain about for us. We will definitely come back on our next vacation in Lübbenau.

We had a delicious meal here twice. Everything was fine. We can recommend both the farmer's breakfast and the roulade. Prices are also absolutely humane.

We visit Café Hanschick and the Spreewald every year. A boat trip is mandatory for us. A beautiful and relaxing ride through nature. We can recommend Cafe Hanschick to every visitor. A nice staff, super delicious breakfast and lunch. Keep it up

Loved the food and hospitality. I ordered fish which came out perfect , tender and delicate. My husband ordered fried chicken which was so so good. They paired the meal with hand cut potatoes which was very well made. Highly recommend if you are at lubbenau

We were there last Saturday with 15 people and were served very friendly. Cake, ice cream, coffee & beer were delicious. Feel free to come back! So really recommended.

Unfortunately only 2 stars because the food that was brought didn't correspond to what was ordered... extra cross fried potatoes... 2 years ago I was thrilled, unfortunately this time I was disappointed... I brought the food back in person... OK, that was the only "comment" I heard . Anything can happen, but you should deal with criticism professionally. Unfortunately, I didn't have the time or appetite to wait for a new meal.

The food was excellent, here blood sausage with sauerkraut, farmer's breakfast, beforehand lard sandwich with cucumber and cucumber salad, good home-style cooking. The prices weren't exorbitant either. It was super tasty, the service was very friendly and attentive. We really liked it and will do it next time gladly again 👍👍.

It is completely closed with no information at the restaurant as to whether it might be open seasonally at Easter. We walked there for free...

I was blown away when I asked for vegetarian dishes or salad. They simply didn't exist. So I had to switch to an appetizer and order a double quantity of it. So the food itself was really good but that doesn't help if you don't eat meat. 🙈

Unfortunately this was a 5 start restaurant, I have been coming here for about a year or more and I have seen a depressing drop of quality. Now when I see the owner there, it’s quality again but I don’t always see him. They have an amazing menu & great food worth the price, in taste & quantity (get a side of rice with ur chicken it’s the way to do it) issues seem to be coming from lack of quality employees. It’s simple but crucial things being messed up. Take the cole slaw used to be incredible every-time I would buy 3 extra each time I was there. And it tasted like someone cared, now it’s dry and taste like a rushed job where someone didn’t give a f. I loved this restaurant it was incredible when the owner is in the back I taste the love and care in all the food. I hope immensely he is able to train a few people to be at the store at all times to keep the love and care there. I understand the economy is hard and people need to just hire low wage peons to get by…but pls get a good manger that cares and loves food inside that place. The quality is going down, pls save it I would love to write a 5star review of this place. I will be coming back to check on it. It is capable of greatness iv tasted it.

Everyplace in Lübenau we have eaten has been good but Café Hanschick ranks among the best. Generous portions, well prepared fresh food into regional favorites. Great, friendly service, tolerant of our limited German. You will enjoy anything you get here. We had the "Spreewalder Steak mal anders" Speewald steak with a difference - a very thick butterflied pork loin, and the "Hanschicks Bauernhacksteak (paniert)" Hanschick's farmer's minced steak. Each served with nicely prepared sides.

Selten eine so fürsorglichen Serviererin erlebt.Wir bekamen beim ersten Besuch einen,für unsere beiden Enkelkinder geeigneten Tisch zugewiesen,der uns auch für zwei weitere Tage reserviert wurde.

Wir haben Eis gegessenn. Das war gut und die Bedienung freundlich. Aber 5,30 € für einen Eierlikör auf dem Eis ist schon in heftig. Im Restaurant roch es muffig und verqualmt.

Tolles, ehrliches Essen im Spreewald. Klar das Ambiente ist in die Jahre gekommen, dafür schmeckt es wie Früher. Für mich eine Empfehlung.

Wir haben hier spontan Abend gegessen. Es gibt eine große Auswahl an Gerichten zu fairen Preisen. Die Gerichte selbst waren sehr deftig und ein wenig fettig, aber trotzdem sehr lecker! Wer auf deftige Hausmannskost steht, kommt hier auf seine Kosten. Aber auch die Spezialitäten aus dem Spreewald sind empfehlenswert. Der Service war sehr aufmerksam und schnell. So wünscht man sich das!

Ein schönes Restaurant/Café. Die Bedienung ist sehr nett und höfflich und das Essen ist sehr lecker gewesen und sah auch sehr schön aus auf dem Teller. Ich würde das Café wieder besuchen und kann es weiter empfehlen.

Die Bedienung ist sehr freundlich gewesen . Das Essen eher Pommesbuden Niveau. Schnitzel aus der Friteuse.Bratkartoffel fettig und eher geschmacklos. Alles in allem das Geld nicht wert.

Die Bedienung war leider nicht sehr freundlich, das Essen war okay, manche Preise sind leider viel zu teuer! Insbesondere das Steak au Four war leider ein Reinfall.Man sollte sich lieber ein anderes Restaurant suchen.

Die drei Punkte gibt es, weil das Personal auf Draht war. Die Küche hat diese Punkte nicht verdient. Die recht kleinen Portionen waren salzarm und lieblos auf den Teller "geklatscht". Was wohl die Salatbeilage sein sollte, passte - ungelogen! - auf einen Teelöffel. Ach nö.

Wir waren in Lübbenau auf der Suche nach einer Frühstücks -Möglichkeit. Allerdings erst um 11:00 Uhr da wir im Urlaub nicht „Früh“-Stücken. Hier gibt es nur Frühstück bis um elf. Keine Flexibilität aber die Alternativen waren gut. Strammer Max und Omelette sowie der Kaffee waren gut. Leider liegt das Lokal direkt an der vielbefahrenen Straße. Idyllisch ist anders.

Super ESSEN Portionen groß und sehr lecker. Preis Leistung einfach alle Daumen hoch!!!!!! Die Rolladen sind der Wahnsinn Sülze und Grützwurst hmmmm...

Wir haben das Restaurant zum Abendessen besucht. Rouladen und Hähnchen Schnitzel waren super. Handgemacht und keine Tiefkühlkost. Service nett und zuvorkommend. Es kann auch auf der Terrasse gegessen werden.

Ich habe hier auch ein paar Kommentare gelesen und überlegt, ob ich da wirklich hin möchte! Vor allem die Kommentare mit den Lebensmittelunverträglichkeiten! Mal vorweg: Ich weiß nicht, was das soll, aber ich fand das Essen sehr lecker und die Bedienung freundlich! Ich glaube ja persönlich, dass die Kommentatoren mit Lebensmitteunverträglichkeiten auch keine einfachen Gäste sind und immer was zu nörgeln haben... Meine Soljanka und das Steak mal anders waren sehr lecker! Es ist kein 5 Sterne Restaurant und man ist in einer Urlaubsregion, das Inventar ist etwas älter, aber es hat geschmeckt, ging schnell und die Bedienung war nett und witzig!
