The service was very fast and the staff friendly. The green sauce was simply exceptional and very fresh, the fried potatoes were wonderfully crispy... Everything was just perfect. We highly recommend this restaurant!

I went to Restaurant Buchholz on Sandweg for the first time last night and I'm absolutely thrilled. The moment you walk in, you're greeted warmly and immediately feel at ease – the entire team is attentive, friendly, and genuine. The food was simply perfect: fresh ingredients, homemade, and prepared with palpable passion. I had the veal schnitzel with mushroom sauce – tender, juicy, and simply divine. The Frankfurt green sauce was also outstanding. The portions are generous, the quality is top-notch, and the prices are absolutely fair. The ambiance is cozy and well-maintained, perfectly complementing the honest, down-to-earth cuisine. You can tell right away that the food is cooked with heart and every move is precise. For me, it's one of the best restaurants in Frankfurt – honest, welcoming, and perfectly balanced. I'll definitely be back! Accessible wholesome food, served with a warm smile. We loved our evening here at a restaurant specializing in German and Austrian food. We came in Chanterelle mushroom season, which determined our excellent starter. Schnitzel main course was a must. The Merlot by the glass was an excellent accompaniment. The service was friendly and spot on. A great evening in Frankfurt.

I hate eating out because it's always a challenge for me. I'm on a ketogenic diet and don't eat any carbohydrates. But that wasn't a problem here; they conjured up a super delicious meal for me that wasn't even on the menu, perfectly fitting my diet plan. I'm super full and happy. I visited this cool little restaurant tonight and the food and service were excellent. I had the Frankerfurter schnitzel and a glass of apfelwein as recommended by my server. For dessert I had the house special German pancake which was amazing.

I had a gathering with friends, and among German restaurants, it is a very friendly place, and the customers are generally quiet. The food is plentiful and delicious. Everyone said the desserts were delicious too. Most of the parking is on the nearby street, but if you are worried, there is a parkhouse nearby.

After visiting the zoo, we looked for a restaurant and chose this one that was nearby and had very good reviews. The ambience is a bit old, the service was very nice, the food and drinks came very quickly without a long wait. We all had asparagus 2x with chicken breast and 1x with schnitzel except for our little daughter (children's schnitzel with fries). The asparagus was fresh, but seemed a little too hard. My daughter's fries were frozen. The chicken breast with the asparagus wasn't even 100 grams, the schnitzels were ok but no WOW effect. We had all hoped for a little more, the food wasn't bad but for the price we wouldn't come again.

If this time it didn't taste so great, the fish soup had too much tomato paste and the schnitzel had too much fat, then for me it remains "the place" for a particularly good schnitzel... but only during the week, because on the weekends when the restaurant is too full, it doesn't get "baked quite as well".

I used to enjoy going to “Buchholz”, but in recent years the quality of the food has suffered considerably: the schnitzels apparently come from industrial production and are just thrown into the deep fryer. The breading layer was strangely pale, and one searched for taste in vain. Fried potatoes were dripping with fat. The salad dressing is no longer homemade either. Too bad! The service was nice and attentive.
