It's really tasty here, they also bake their own food (Kaiserschmarrn) and it's very cozy outside. I can recommend it without hesitation.

**Review for Restaurant Buchholz** We have been visiting the Buchholz restaurant regularly since this year and ended up here through a recommendation. The food is absolutely excellent and the service is always very friendly and accommodating. We particularly appreciate the unique dishes that you don't often find in other restaurants. Our special tip: the delicious Kaiserschmarrn – definitely try it! The atmosphere is very pleasant and we always feel very comfortable here. We would definitely like to come back and can only recommend the Restaurant Buchholz!

Staying in Frankfurt for a few days. Our hotel recommended this restaurant, and it didn’t disappoint. The veal schnitzel was amazing, as was the kaiserschmarrn (pancake dessert with apple & raisins), but be warned, the portions are substatial ! Would highly recommended this restaurant

We were there for the first time a few months ago. Since then we have been regular guests. When we arrived we were warmly welcomed by the staff and immediately offered a nice table. We received the menus straight away and shortly afterwards our drink requests were taken straight away. The drinks were served a few minutes later so we could order our food straight away. These came to the table freshly prepared about 30 minutes later. I had Taunus trout, which smelled delicious and was very well prepared. Likewise the side dishes. Everything fresh and impeccably prepared and presented. We actually wanted to order a desert afterwards, but we both ate the large (but not too large) portions, so there was simply no more room. There was also a delicious bottle of Pinot Gris. The price performance ratio is very good! We had a wonderful evening and will come back there often.

Went there spontaneously yesterday, without a reservation and got a table in the garden. The food was excellent and the service was very nice and always checked on us. Highly recommended restaurant with good food and especially the legendary Kaiserschmarrn is just one reason to meet there again and again in the future.

Very large portions, even in the children's menu. Service was friendly. There are cozy tables outside. The Schnitzel + kartoffel dish is missing a bit of vegetables or salad for me.

Excellent service! The lady was quick and friendly, despite a long shift. Delicious asparagus cream soup €5.50, side salad that could almost be described as a main course. Cheap drinks…what more could you want?

Excellent food and drinks. The service is attentive and very friendly. The simple and neutral, cozy guest room is prone to reflections and is therefore unfortunately a bit too loud. If that doesn't bother you, you'll be happy to come back here. Must see in Frankfurt.

So far, I have always gone there with the intention of choosing something from the extensive menu and have always let the so-called daily menu entice me to do something different. It was really delicious every time & by the way, so were the cakes on site (and the chocolate soufflé from the menu :-)), I love going back again and again! My unreserved recommendation.

Das war ja nun wirklich gar nix! Vier Essen bestellt: bei dem einen war der Fisch noch fast roh, bei einem anderen die Rahmsoße völlig übersäuert und dann löste sich bei dem dritten Essen die Schnitzelpanade komplett. Für zwei verschiedene Flaschen Wein aus der eher bescheidenen Auswahl stand nur ein Weinkühler zur Verfügung und bei einer Nachbestellung muss man sich auf einen anderen Wein einlassen.

It's a small place with very good schnitzels. You may have difficulty finding a place, sometimes it can be full. Also, the environment is very nice.

I visited the restaurant today with my asian friends and i really can recommend it. My friend recommended me this place and told me if i want to get “deutsche Hausmannskost” to go there. I can recommend all tourists who wanna try local food this place. You really should try the “Schnitzel” and the “Börek”. If ill be in germany i will go there again.

Das Essen war mehr als ausreichend und hat ausgezeichnet geschmeckt. Das Personal war freundlich und hilfsbereit. Wir werden das Lokal bestimmt wieder besuchen.

Ein kleine, aber feine Perle im Großstadtsortiment. Das Wiener Kalbsschnitzel ist klassisch und besser als gut. Zartes Fleisch mit feiner Panade, dazu scharf angebratene Bratkartoffeln mit etwas Petersilie, Preiselbeeren, Stück Zitrone. Tiramisu und Kaffee ist nicht wie beim Italiener, aber solide! Das Personal ist aufmerksam ohne Aufdringlich zu sein und freundlich. Leerlauf wird fleißig durch Saubermachen und polieren von Gläsern vermieden. Das Ambiente rustikal, ordentlich und sauber ohne steril zu wirken. Es lief keine Musik, es hängen aber Boxen an der Decke. Gespräche am Nachbartisch regen zum Nachdenken an.

Diese harten Verurteilungen, die hier einige Leute abgeben, halte ich für vollkommen ungerecht und unangemessen. Solchen Menschen kann es höchstwahrscheinlich niemand recht machen! Ich weiß, aus persönlicher Erfahrung, dass die Inhaberin sich sehr viel Mühe gibt für ihre Gäste und auch bez. dem Service. Ich kenne kein anderes Restaurant, in dem man so herzlich willkommen geheißen und bedient wird.

So happy to have found this traditional German place! Well-priced menu and beverages. Entrees plus salad under 20 Euro. Of course I had to order the Apfelwein and chocolate cake which pushed the bill closer to 30 Euro. Frankfurter Schnitzel with green sauce is their specialty.

Gute Deutsche Küche mit Wochenkarte.

Die Hauptspeisen sind ausgezeichnet (wir hatten Schnitzel mit Bratkartoffeln, Pommes und Szegediner Gulasch (Wochenkarte)) und auch der Kaiserschmarn war köstlich. Der Service ist freundlich und aufmerksam und das Restaurant ist angenehm hell. Wir haben uns mit unseren beiden kleinen Kindern sehr wohl gefühlt und kommen gerne wieder.

Etwas versteckt, aber absolut empfehlenswert. Sehr lecker und freundlich.

Schnitzel was next level, great service!

Unscheinbar im Wohnviertel gelegen, außen 8 bis 10 Tische. An zwei Straßen (Ecke) gelegen, jedoch trotzdem ruhig und schattig am Außentisch. Innen sitzt man auch gemütlich. Das Essen ist geschmacklich perfekt gewesen, die Portionen waren großzügig. Sogar der Beilagensalat war sehr, sehr lecker. Auch der Nachtisch (Omas Schokopudding) war top. Die Bedienung war sehr freundlich und aufmerksam. Reservieren sollte man, da das Restaurant sehr gut besucht ist. Preise sind top, zum Verhältnis was man dafür bekommt. Einfach empfehlenswert dieses Restaurant.

Das Wiener Kalb schmeckte gut, aber wenn es ein wenig Fett zu viel hatte. Die Kartoffeln schmeckten aber nach nichts und waren eine Enttäuschung. Dann lieber Pommes wenn man Kartoffeln nicht machen kann. Bedienung und Kunden entsprichten nicht wirklich meinen Erwartungen, aber das hatte keinen Einfluss auf meine Bewertung.

Gutes Essen zu fairen Preis. Schöne Lage am Sandweg, empfehlenswert.

Etwas versteckt aber durchaus empfehlenswert! Wir hatten vorab einen Tisch reserviert (relativ kurzfristig) und konnten bei der Ankunft einen Tisch auswählen. Die Auswahl fiel auf den Außenbereich. Trotz der angrenzenden Straßen konnte man sich ruhig unterhalten. Das bestellte Schnitzel mit grüner Soße war sehr lecker. Das Schnitzel war schön knusprig und die grüne Soße frisch. Das Preis-Leistungsverhältnis stimmt allemal. Das Restaurant Buchholz ist daher sehr zu empfehlen.

Hier wird anscheinend jedes Essen für sich zubereitet - hoher Aufwand - den man schmeckt. Deshalb gibt es wohl gerade mal 10 Tische, anders wäre das gar nicht möglich. Ehrliche Küche mit fairen Preisen, sehr schmackhaft und ordentliche Portionen bei denen jeder satt wird. Anscheinend geht hier auch der Kiez zum Essen, was ein sicheres Zeichen ist, dass hier die Qualität stimmen muss. Ein Familienbetrieb wie er im Bilderbuch steht - wir werden wieder kommen - sowohl meine Frau (hatte Spargel mit Hähnchenbrust) als auch meine Kinder (Schweineschnitzel / Lasagne "die beste die ich jemals gegessen habe) waren alle glücklich - dann ist es der Papa auch. Einrichtung ist funktional, deshalb kann das Essen auch zu vernünftigen Preisen angeboten werden. Hier kommen Paare als auch Familien auf ihre Kosten. Wir kommen bestimmt wieder (wohnen im Speckgürtel von FFM).

Zum Schnitzel: Ordentliche Portion und guter Geschmack, grüne Soße schmeckt 1A. Minimale Abstriche an der Location, relativ zentrale Lage und freundliche Bedienung. Top

Die einzige schlechte Bewertung hier auf TripAdvisor können.wir überhaupt nicht nachvollziehen. Hier gibts gutbürgerliche Küche ohne viel schnickscknack- und das schätzen die vielen Stammkundrn hier.

What a great place to eat German food. We had been there during our trip in Frankfurt and we were all happy about it. We ate a lot and the price was really fair. Delicious vegetable soups and Schnizel (typical course). The staff was nice and gentle. The atmosphere is intimate. SUPER RECOMMENDED! <3

Really cozy restaurant the food is amazing and really kind service! Definitely worth visiting it! They also have English menus and you can pay with cash or card. I really recommend it to hungry visitors! We came from the zoo were really hungry but we we are full with just the main dishes and as i have already said the food is delicious! The prices are from 8-16€ but with the amount of food you get and with the quality it’s nothing.

Weiner schnitzels like my mum makes! Great portions and price. They have an English menu for those of us who don’t read German. We ordered two types of schnitzel, a salad and two drinks and were exceptionally full at the end of it. The meal quality was great, we could hear the chef out the back pounding out the schnitzels, they were so tender. Great choice of desserts but we were too full to sample them. Good wine and beer choices too. Wish I’d taken a photo of our meal but we couldn’t wait to get into it. Enjoy this place- we certainly did.

I was there with my boyfriend at dinner time. They had english menu, but actually there was also very nice loyal customer who told us what we should eat. The food was good and price was easy on the pocket. There was few local customers besides us and very nice terrace outside.

Went there with my girlfriend for dinner and the waitress was kind enough to explain us what the ingredients of each dish were. The place is cozy and typically German kitsch style. Both the original weiner schnitzel and the schnitzel with mushrooms sauce were excellent! Both in terms of quantity and quality. The kayserschmarn is an absolute must have! They do it specially well, and comes with a nice ball of vanilla ice cream. Definitely recommended!
