I had to look for a Frisian restaurant up here for a long time that offered typical Frisian food. I am absolutely thrilled with what is on offer here! In a beautifully romantically prepared ambience you get lovingly prepared food, accompanied by great service that caters to your guests' every wish! I have never had sea bass prepared so well. The price-performance ratio is absolutely justified and we will definitely come back ❤️

If you like eating fish, definitely go there. But they also offer meat dishes. The fried potatoes are absolutely delicious. The service is very nice and sometimes has a funny saying. So after a nightcap, feel free to try the house-made schnapps/liqueur. The ambience is very nice, inside and out. Top 👍🏻👍🏻👍🏻👍🏻👍🏻

Bedienung freundlich. Essen, in dem Fall ein Schnitzel mit Bratkartoffeln unterirdisch, weil alles in Fett schwamm. Ist mir auf den Magen geschlagen. Beilagensalat unappetitlich. Die Deko, ein Sammelsurium aus vermeintlichen Seemannsdevotionalien muss man mögen. Alles etwas abgestoßen. Terrasse ganz ok. Typische Gastronomie für die Region, eben so lala.

We were on a bike ride and were forced to hide somewhere due to bad weather. Then we found this restaurant on Google. Looking at it from the outside, we didn't expect much from the culinary and ambience. We were all the more surprised when we entered the restaurant. The room looked very cozy, inviting, pleasant and the terrace was magical. Just fits the surroundings. Food delicious, portions generous and nicely decorated. Service patient and very nice. The young gesture has also been thought of to brighten up the waiting time. Food came quickly and people kept asking if everything was ok. I would love to go back if it wasn't so far from home 😟.

A beautiful restaurant. Very harmoniously and comfortably furnished. I rarely or even dislike the wooden paneling on the inside, but here in this restaurant it was very nice, very cozy and the wooden interior exuded a pleasant atmosphere. We were a group of around 20 people, but the service team still managed to serve our food evenly hot! The food, especially the fish dishes, was very, very tasty! And the food was not only very tasty, it was absolutely acceptable in terms of price 🙂 ! Plus the excellent, very friendly and fast service team - it was a nice day! Good restaurant to eat delicious fish. Friendly staff and often well attended. It makes sense to reserve in advance. In addition to the restaurant, the restaurant also has a beautiful outdoor terrace with a view of the Hooksmeer.

We sat on the wonderful terrace right by the water. The food/drinks were perfect. Unfortunately we had to wait a long time for the food because our order was forgotten. But there was generous compensation.🙂

The quality of food and service has been consistent over the years, the fish, some smoked in-house, is always excellently prepared, portions are generous, all sorts of in-house schnapps/liqueurs can also be tried and purchased, the ambience is beautiful and nautically rustic, even if it is a bit old The price is often impressive, but acceptable for the performance received.

We ate here on Sunday, August 11th, 2024, were served immediately, food came on time and the toilets were clean too 👍

Good food in a nice, quiet environment, service depends on the person and unfortunately sometimes poor. Hospitals block beds, restaurants should block tables if there are no staff. It's better to have half the shop full of satisfied guests than a full house and a bad atmosphere. We were there quite soon after opening time on a Sunday and were warmly welcomed by an older, appreciated "local" service person. The menu was quickly presented, quickly followed by the drinks and the main course (delicious!) was on the table after only about 15 minutes. But then... The restaurant was filling up, but not even half of the tables were occupied. Inside there was a larger group of around 20 people who took up all of "our" service staff. In the meantime two more waitresses had joined us...but unfortunately they couldn't manage it at all. No further requests for drinks, no glance in our direction... During their run we ordered the dessert menu from a lady (which we received after about 10 minutes) and also the dessert we had chosen. After more than half an hour we still didn't have dessert and asked if we had been forgotten...No, no, our colleague was preparing it right now... Finally, due to time constraints, we canceled the dessert and asked for the bill. Then our waitress from the beginning was suddenly back at the table, asking what the dessert was, it could "go out right now" and there was "a lot going on". We certainly understood that, but we ran out of time (work called). The bill came promptly and the lady was obviously sorry that we were dissatisfied... Conclusion - delicious food, but unfortunately the poor service left a bitter aftertaste. The prices are too high for that. Too bad.

Great location... the food was a culinary delight. If you like fish and seafood, this is the right place for you. Simply a well-rounded thing. I would recommend resaving. We'd love to come back.

I'm not going there anymore. - It's a shame, but a restaurant that isn't able to get the bones out of the fish fillets in three consecutive visits doesn't deserve the name. The waitress, who I always kindly pointed out this defect (more than 12 thick bones in the fish "fillet"), became rude and said that the fish was just "fresh". There are other, better restaurants in Hooksiel that can handle fish. Even the local fish snack bar can do better. - You won't see me in the bridge again. It's a shame because the atmosphere is nice.

It was like a vacation. We were there on a beautiful summer evening. All in all a great experience, we'll definitely be back!

From the friendly staff welcomed and served to the fantastic food, everything impressed us here. Yes, the prices aren't bargains, but you get freshly prepared food that wasn't delivered frozen. If you want, you can also watch how the food is freshly prepared. When you enter, you walk right past the grill, where the fish is prepared and fried potatoes are prepared in a huge pan. I can't praise it enough, all I can say is make a reservation inside or outside depending on the weather and enjoy delicious food by the water.

Had dinner there with the family yesterday. The service was very good. The employees are very fond of children. My son got his food first. That alone is worth 5 points. There was a menu to color, puzzles and at the end a lovingly designed gift bag. Thank you for that. The mystery has caught the attention of the men at the table. It wasn't inserted completely and so solution boxes were missing. They racked their brains until they asked the waitress if the puzzle was really supposed to be like that. 😂 The fish was very well fried and tasted great. It really worth a visit. To the chef: You are welcome to accept praise when you receive it. The statement: "Well the fish is fresh.... A thank you would have been enough 😉. Thank you for the nice time you gave us.

A nice restaurant near the outer harbor of Hooksiel. The price is quite high, but the quality doesn't suffer either! The dishes are very well prepared and, when the weather is good, you can sit with a great view of the Hooksiel Binnentief. There is a lot of maritime decoration to discover inside. Definitely visit!

Delicious food and accessible by boat

After a long time we made it to the bridge in Hooksiel again and, as in previous years, we were not disappointed. The very unusual and cozy “North Sea” ambience still exists. You feel very comfortable. Our waitress was extremely attentive and very helpful (we are not fish professionals). The food was served in a reasonable time despite the high number of visitors. The fish tastes really tasty and is of good quality. We really had a nice evening and are already looking forward to the next time.

Spontaneously got a nice table on the weekend without a reservation. The staff was very friendly and accommodating, the food was delicious and the portions were large. Even the dessert was a large portion. The restaurant is highly recommended!

We spontaneously went to dinner there with 6 people. Got a place on the terrace. The food was very tasty, the service was a little overwhelmed. There were probably too many guests inside and outside for too few employees (shortage of staff), but otherwise the employees were very friendly and helpful.

A very quaint fish restaurant. Great furnished. Outdoor terrace also to enjoy. Food freshly prepared and beautifully presented to the eye. I was even given a wine to try to see if I liked it. Very attentive! Young, friendly and motivated staff. It is highly recommended. Dogs allowed. There is sufficient parking space directly in front of the restaurant.

It was a successful visit with family and mother-in-law. There was something for everyone and everyone was enthusiastic. Parking directly in front of the house and a wonderful view of the water from inside. The interior and terrace area are lovingly decorated in a maritime style and offer seating in the sun and shade. In the summer evenings, the atmospherically lit terrace is a meeting place for all romance fans. The cuisine, which specializes in fish and seafood, leaves little to be desired. Mediterranean and European. Salt was used in a balanced way, including in the fried potatoes, making it very pleasant for salt-conscious gourmets. The price level is slightly high, but so is the quality. A very nice service team inspires with charm, wit and friendliness. Actually there was no space left as we hadn't pre-ordered, but the team managed it brilliantly through their commitment and flexibility. Be sure to book a spot in advance on public holidays and weekends! In a small shop you can also buy fish and schnapps specialties made in-house. Equally suitable for family celebrations and company events. After eating, you can take a digestive walk on the nearby beach or on the dike.

Recommended restaurant in a beautiful location in Hooksiel, primarily a fish restaurant. There were six of us there at lunchtime and all of the guests were very satisfied without any compromises. Service: Attentive without being intrusive. Worth a visit!

It was our first time here in the Brücke and we were immediately assigned a table without waiting. The service was very competent and friendly. The fish dishes were fried to perfection, fried potatoes, like mother's. The prices are reasonable. We will be back definitely.

Our daily surprise. Discovered while walking. Here you would expect a home-style restaurant. Rustic from the outside. Inside with great attention to detail. Open kitchen and the food is simply great. Well, the crab soup is a bit weaker in direct comparison to the fish soup. Still both delicious. Unfortunately the shrimp was fried to death. But the rest was cooked perfectly. Plaice Cordon Bleu was more experimental. You can do it. But it won't be my first choice. Nevertheless, you can try it. All in all, rightly 4.7 out of 5 We'll meet Again

The food was good, 2 plaice fillets were unfortunately too good and should have been fried a little longer and seasoned a little more. The side salad was super tasty, as were the fried potatoes. The service was great. The ambience went like this. This time it was excessively loud at a few tables, which the restaurant can't do anything about.

Nobody expects from the outside what they get from the inside. Quite inconspicuous on the outside, really nice on the inside, very nice service and it doesn't matter who. Went there for the first time last fall and now twice this year. Absolutely delicious throughout, friendly and just like a little vacation.

Have followed the many reviews and I agree: Great fish restaurant with a maximum maritime ambience and a wonderful view of the Siel. Can highly recommend it. Both the gold perch, herring and children's fish fingers were simply great. We had an excellent stay there.

A really great place with delicious dishes and a great owner as a host as well as a very cozy atmosphere. Had dinner here today and it was very, very tasty. I had the fish pan bridge which was served with a warming plate... Chapeau.... this meant you could enjoy the fish warm until the end... great idea... Finally you want the four pieces of fish and the crabs or scampi , which are part of the fish pan and can also be enjoyed warm/hot until the end... This is already worth 10 stars. My wife also had the Sielswachter's fish plate with golden perch and loup de mer on crab sauce with crab meat. The fried potatoes were hand-made (not ready-made) and served in a warmed pan and, of course, served with a nice, tasty little mixed salad. Of course there was also a great wine recommendation from the owner himself...... of which we took a bottle separately..... All in all a top fish restaurant and more than a recommendation but a "MUST"..... ....We look forward to the next time, even if we have a 200km journey... My request.... Please keep it up......
