Restaurant Bräustübl in Berlin

We celebrated our silver wedding anniversary and 60th birthday in this restaurant with old charm on October 19, 2024. The food was delicious and our 30 guests were totally thrilled. Such service, especially from Henriette, was exemplary, no one was left high and dry here, always a nice word and so cool that we would like to come back. Despite the stress, she was always in a good mood and very nice. Thanks to their efforts, the celebration was a success. Not to forget the loving and tasteful setting of the tables with our decorations in preparation. We can recommend this restaurant 120%. A very big thank you also to the kitchen!!! Addition: Our guests subsequently raved without exception about the food, the ambience and the service.

Unfortunately, there are only a few authentic restaurants left in the capital. But this is one of those! With flair, heart and soul and a menu to kneel down on. The service is careful, friendly and quick and the ambience is middle-class and rustic. A pearl in the (south) east of Berlin!!!

The waitress didn't like the fact that I was checking the bill before paying and she gave me two, far too hard, pats on the shoulder and told me to be quiet because she had done the math well. I didn't like the way or the strength in which she did it

Everything was just right: friendly welcome, good advice, comprehensive and very friendly support. The food (home-style cooking, fish, meatless dishes) was very tasty and more than plentiful - I had the goulash, my wife fish - and fairly priced, the ambience was rustic with lots of nice details. A very pleasant gastronomic experience, thank you very much!

Although we hadn't made a reservation, the nice waiter gave us a very nice place for us with a small child. The food was very tasty, no matter what everyone had, schnitzel, steak au four or Königsberger meatballs, everything was delicious. Changing table was also available. We'll be back.

Small portions for a price that is way too expensive. During asparagus season I got a mini schnitzel, a few limp unsalted fries and 4 strips of asparagus for just under €35. Sauces, ketchup etc. cost extra. In my opinion, this is not a guaranteed price if you compare this portion with other German restaurants and their prices. Unfortunately for me it was a FLOP.

Beautiful, original hospitality room. Few beers to choose from as a brewery. The lady at the tap never managed to actually draw 0.3 or 0.5. Sometimes there was far less in the glass. Relatively expensive drink prices. The food was okay, but nothing special. My side salad had an indefinable dressing with a lot of garlic on it, which didn't taste good and didn't go with the dish at all. I hope that was an oversight. The bill is presented as an interim bill, the 0.35 euro energy flat rate PER person is added. Before you check out, you will be informed that tips can be paid in cash or by card. We always tip, but a tip like that is pretty embarrassing.

Unfortunately I can't recommend the kitchen, my old friend also feels the same way.

Service for us was quick and attentive. Food was really very good. Had the crusty roast and it was really like it came from grandma herself. Prices are also reasonable. I will come back.

We just came here on the off chance that we would have to wait a long time for food, but we were served quite quickly. Friendly and attentive service, we had cold cucumber soup from the seasonal menu - a poem in the heat -, stuffed braised cucumber - very successful - and the beef roulade - very tender, with delicious red cabbage. Good beer selection as you would expect at a Bräustübl, we sat outside on the terrace, but there is also a nice atmosphere inside.

Under no circumstances should you eat the grilled knuckle in the evening! I warmed it up in the microwave. The potatoes reminded me of the potatoes from the school canteen. Sauerkraut and the sauce were fine

3 friends and I were visiting Frederichshagen yesterday and we saw this place as we drove past. We were about to sit down at a table and the waiter greeted us with a very dry “Your meal will take 45 minutes”, no hello, nothing else. After some internal discussion, my friends and I said, “Ok, maybe 45 minutes isn’t so bad, we’ll sit down with a beer,” to which the waiter then replied, “Ok, but it could take up to an hour.” It was very clear that we were not welcome. Not a great way to treat tourists or other customers in my opinion.

Nep!! We had a grill plate for 2 people for the proud price of €58. The meal consisted of 2 minute steaks each of beef and pork (both tough) and 2 chicken fillets. Plus a small portion of bacon beans and a small side salad - each enough for 1 person. Bad quality, completely overpriced. And it was only when I got home that I discovered that I had been issued a so-called interim invoice! What happened to the Friedrichshagen brewery? We've had better experiences in the past. Very unfortunate!!!

We were here again. Yes, we are repeat offenders. Because the food is very tasty. The service staff are in a good mood and are always courteous and friendly. Eating out is fun and absolutely delicious. I could barely stop myself from licking the plate.

Card selection for the summer was poor. All just hearty food. Nothing easy. The fries weren't cooked through, the trout wasn't seasoned. It's a shame, otherwise we were always very satisfied.

As seen above we had schnitzel, the quantity was sufficient/good, the food was tasty and the drinks were a good/very good size. Solid home cooking, food = good Despite small miscommunications in both directions and special requests from our Seitz, the lady was always friendly. It was relatively busy, so I can imagine she was a bit stressed. Service = good/very good We sat on the terrace near the street, but neither the traffic nor the passers-by disturbed us. The problem of the situation was therefore solved satisfactorily. The outdoor area is neat, tidy and you don't get in the way of the neighboring tables. Ambiance (outside) so good/very good. All in all a nice restaurant, I can imagine visiting it more often.

Unfortunately, the food was disappointing and carelessly prepared. For the relatively high price, only warmed-up ready meals were served. The “small salad” was particularly disappointing: it consisted of a single lettuce leaf, a few grated carrots, a tomato, a few slices of cucumber and a ready-made dressing. To make matters worse, in the end an energy flat rate was charged in addition to the already high price, which was not mentioned anywhere before. Conclusion: Overpriced and poor quality.

Everything was great! We'd love to come back.

The food tasted great. For a brewery the range of drinks was meager. The staff: Not very enthusiastic. If you sit outside, the heavy traffic is annoying!

Very tasty, very nice service. Unfortunately, the terrace facing the street is a bit noisy due to the traffic. But the restaurant can't do anything about that.

Barrier-free and friendly service. Table and menu a bit sticky. The air in the room was stuffy, unfortunately no window could be opened. Food was O.K!

The Worcestershire sauce was very diluted so it could have been left out. The prices have risen so much and the quality is not convincing. We know it differently from the Bräustübl. I hope that changes again. For now, nothing is drawing me there.

It was empty. They served the same grey piece of meat as "steak" and "schnitzel." Our server wished to remind us that "tip was not included in Germany." Our beers were made incorrectly. We spent a great evening in a group with very tasty German food and a diverse selection of drinks. At first we were a bit put off by the prices of the food, but the portions are really big and you'll be very full. The food is delicious. There is always a changing menu depending on the season. I would particularly like to highlight the black beer goulash: the meat is very tender, excellently seasoned and, unlike other restaurants, it actually comes with two large dumplings. Great respect for the service, because despite the fact that it was full we received good service. We would like to come again!

Very nice, historic inn, a bit outdated, but you can quickly fix it without any problems with a little paint, cleaning equipment and commitment. The service was very friendly and quick. The food did what it promised and the prices are very good for today's times.

On the occasion of the "Open Ateliers Friedrichshagen" on June 8th and 9th, 2024, we once again found ourselves in this beautiful part of the city - and soon our stomachs growled (it's almost poetic). The food on offer was tempting and we sat on the terrace. Well, this is on a main road and you know that beforehand. But it wasn't loud. It was busy that day, the service was quick and friendly and the drinks and food arrived in a reasonable time. I had the grilled knuckle and it was simply great with delicious sauerkraut and potatoes. The sauce was amazing and as we later found out, you can also order some more sauce if you need it. All in all, a highly recommended restaurant and if you like a bit of nostalgia, I recommend taking a look at the interior - it's just great. Unfortunately we ate so quickly that we forgot to take pictures. We will definitely come back and can highly recommend the Bräustübl.

Food wasn't really our thing. Portions small, casserole was only lukewarm. It was too expensive for that. Drink prices were okay. But the service was very good. Very friendly, funny, good-humoured and quick. We really liked the atmosphere. We sat outside.

We booked the ballroom for a big anniversary and were completely satisfied with the preparation and service. The buffet and drinks also left nothing to be desired. Our guests were thrilled.

The Bräustübl is actually a good restaurant. However, you shouldn't go there for coffee. ☹️ The ice cream sundaes are sublime. Ice cream doesn't taste good and everything is carelessly thrown together. And that for €8.75. Since the waitress couldn't give it out, she also added a tip.

We were guests at the Braeustuebl for dinner today on May 1st. We were immediately given a table outside. We received the tickets immediately and a little later we were asked what drink we wanted. We ordered beer (1× Robin + 1x Staropramen) - both on tap and excellent. As dishes we chose Grandma's beef roulade and the homemade boulette. Both dishes were excellent. We would like to send a particularly big compliment to the kitchen team and thank you very much.

Went there last night with a friend: poor service, average food, high prices. No greeting from the waiter at the table, he just stands there and waits. Already a good start. Food was ok, Viennese style schnitzel not recommended. Re-ordering drinks was difficult as we were always ignored when a waiter was nearby. Ultimately we had to call the waiter over. The request for a clean glass was accepted without comment. On the bill, both of our dishes were at the menu price, even though we had each ordered without potatoes and there are quite different prices on the menu for the same dishes with and without potatoes. Repetition excluded.

The food was average. Sometimes something different was put on the plate than what was ordered. The potatoes weren't good at all, but the knuckle was very tasty. The mustard (sauce) wasn't particularly good. Unfortunately a little disappointing for these prices. The ambience was also rather mediocre. Long waiting times when ordering drinks. It is still the restaurant in Berlin with a rustic atmosphere and old traditions. Hearty, mostly German cuisine, good beers. Fast service with a Berlin snout, but friendly and hardworking. At the end of the well-known Bölschestrasse. I have enjoyed being a guest there since 1971.

We ate there on Easter Sunday. Apparently there were a lot of reservations, 3 ladies came and they were seated at the dark table. I ate the roast lamb and my brother ate the currywurst. The beans with the lamb were lukewarm and no bacon beans. One of the ladies at the next table also ordered lamb and got more meat than me. However, taking another energy flat rate when the food price is crooked is no longer inviting for another visit.

Just picked up a few spare ribs take away there. service friendly, fast. the food itself: VERY moderate. rip, oh well. quite dry and not very much. The, oh so praised, steakhouse fries were totally limp, without any salt.. the “crowning” in a negative sense was the totally loveless coleslaw. it didn't taste like anything. Pity. and the whole thing for just under 19 euros. sad. There is much better in Friedrichshagen. For me, at least the ribs will NEVER be in the Bräustübl again.

Very, very long wait for food, which is okay but definitely not worth waiting for an hour. Ordering drinks is only possible if you are lucky enough to have intercepted the service staff. When we asked how long the food would take, as we had a small child with us who was now very hungry. We only got cheeky answers after pointing out that we had already been waiting for an hour. The food was then brought to us with the words that it only took 58.9 minutes. Additionally, the toddler was the last to receive. Definitely not recommended and not worth repeating!

As a walk-in customer, it is certainly a good decision to eat here. But I advise against a larger company. Any agreements are for the cat. That's a shame because the food is good. But ultimately the service has to be right and the guest should be king, not the waitress.

Must try: beef roulade. Best in Berlin!

Went to the Bräustübl for the first and last time today. Yes, it was Easter and yes, it says in the menu that it can take a while because everything is freshly prepared, but you have to wait an hour for the food and if you want another drink you have to hope that you get the waitress somehow can intercept. Service is definitely different. We had a small child with us and asked an hour after ordering whether it would take long because the child was really hungry. The answer we received was that we weren't the only guests. When we were told that we had already been waiting an hour, we were simply brushed off in an unfriendly manner. When the food finally came, my food was served to me with the message that it would now be 58 minutes and 9 seconds, which I found to be very cheeky. If the food had been at least outstanding, then I might have been able to understand it, but that was far from it. It's a shame that you have to give at least one star so that you can write a review. Even this is not worth the Bräustübel. You can definitely not recommend this restaurant. A pity!

A rustic brewery restaurant in the style of old Berlin. This restaurant breathes history! Worth seeing!!! You have to look for something like that in the rest of the city and find it. The three of us were here spontaneously yesterday and without a reservation. The reception was very friendly and after a short wait we were assigned a table. The order was taken quickly and after a short wait the food was served. We chose crusted roast, pork knuckle, grilled pork knuckle. Everything was hot, soft and of the best taste. In the evening, my granddaughter and I were looking for a restaurant with German cuisine that suits us in terms of price and where our dog is also welcome. We ordered nuggets with fries and I ordered veal liver. The Bräustübel was pleasantly attended and although it was a bit noisy, that was due to the men obviously needing to communicate. It had something of a rustic Kiets pub :). The food was delicious and there was nothing left over. The daily beer (a dark yeast) is delicious fresh from the barrel. For me it's a revelation, as there is everything to eat everywhere except German cuisine!!!!! Always my pleasure!!! The service was friendly without any frills and present and friendly, not only because of its impressive size. We are also friendly and when it tastes good and everything works we are always grateful! It was a good kill that evening! Always a pleasure and my tip for you is a good place to go after work. I think the idea of ​​an energy flat rate of 34 cents per guest is good and better than increasing the price even further :)

Stopped by the Bräustübel again today. The guest room is rustic and cozy. You have the feeling that time has stood still. Really great. Service was quick. Real German cuisine. Recommended black beer goulash / veal liver. A real Potsdamer (beer with draft beer). A delicious Müggelschorle (soda with elderberry syrup with ice cream with lime and mint leaves). Every now and then there is live music. Always my pleasure.
