Restaurant Bräustübl in Berlin

We enjoyed our roast goose yesterday. Everything was perfect; the goose was incredibly tender, and the side dishes, including the gravy, were delicious. Highly recommended, and we will definitely be back.

Delicious food, but the back room was unusable due to a broken heater. We'd gladly come again, but only with a reservation.

The food was delicious and plentiful. However, they've recently started charging a 35-cent energy surcharge per guest. That's absolutely outrageous, especially since it was so cold in the restaurant that we had to put our jackets on at times. On top of that, the prices in the restaurant are already exorbitant. We won't be coming back.

We arrived at the Bräustübl on Saturday at 12:00 and were the fifth table. The first table received their four goose legs at 12:50. We ordered calf's liver and goulash and waited until 13:15 – a full 75 minutes. We ordered drinks, but unfortunately, they only arrived after we asked again. The staff seemed completely unconcerned about our empty glasses. We won't be back...

The restaurant seemed very cozy at first glance, but unfortunately, it was quite cold because the heating wasn't working. The food was a mixed bag: some dishes were sold out, but what we were eventually able to order was truly excellent and tasted fantastic. The dessert, however, was spoiled – absolutely unacceptable. On the positive side, the service was outstanding: the waiter was extremely friendly, attentive, and courteous. Overall, it was a mixed bag. With working heating, a full menu, and fresh desserts, the restaurant could be significantly better.

St. Martin's Day Goose, November 11, 2025 I haven't had such a perfect St. Martin's Day goose in a long time. Absolutely delicious. The goose was beautifully crispy and the meat incredibly tender. The kale and red cabbage were exactly to my taste. Plenty of gravy with a subtle hint of orange. Simply put, perfect for me.

Great traditional German type food. Service quite quickly for such complicated dishes. Will be back.

This is still a living tradition, not artificially created. Brewery atmosphere at its finest, you can feel the past, the food couldn't be better, service is typical, as it should be in a brewery, no "pretended" friendliness, decent portion sizes, everything as it should be.

I'm absolutely thrilled with this restaurant. Very friendly staff. A lovely place with an outdoor area. Unfortunately, it's on the main road, so it's a bit noisy. Dogs are allowed. The food is typically German, and there's a good selection with imaginative names. It's very good value for money. The portions are generous, and the food tastes delicious. I'd happily go back.

Onion roast beef and Fhagener dark beer goulash were highly recommended… absolutely delicious!

We were a group of 15 and had made a reservation in advance. The table setting consisted of nothing more than a standing paper napkin and a knife and fork lying on the bare table. It looked as if they had simply been dropped. The bottom edge of the table was so dirty and sticky that you had to use your napkin to cover it so you could rest your arms on the table. The food arrived an hour after ordering. My meal tasted good, but I can't comment on the other dishes. Conclusion: I won't be going to Restaurant Bräustübl again.

Great restaurant, good food, very friendly and helpful staff

Beautiful, rustic ambiance and friendly service! The food is averagely tasty, but tends to be overpriced. The drinks are also too expensive: €4.30 for a 0.3l beer. The principle of goulash: lots of sauce, little meat. For that, €19.80... When ordering, an alternative side dish to the roulade was offered without any indication of the surcharge. The surcharge was justified by the effort involved in "manually booking." Absolutely unacceptable: The proprietor charges an "energy fee" per person, which you only see on the bill. The funny explanation: "With rising energy prices," they don't need to keep raising prices. When we pointed out that energy prices aren't rising, but falling, they merely shrugged their shoulders. It used to be a nice, recommendable restaurant. But definitely not again!

So, I was there yesterday at 3 p.m. We met up with about 15 classmates for a relaxed get-together with food and drinks. It was great, and the service was friendly and helpful.

We were at the Bölschefest (Bölsche Festival) at the Bräustübl today and absolutely loved it. The manager and the entire service team were super friendly, and the food was simply delicious, just like mom's! The goulash we had was something we hadn't had in a long time. Definitely not our last visit!

Anytime, the trout meunière was excellent. Never tasted anything like it before! The baked potato was also very good. 👍

It was like a journey back in time! So attentive to detail! A 156-year-old brewery... beautiful! Our service was very attentive and professional. We felt completely at home, and I recommend a tour of the restaurant. The food was, of course, delicious and plentiful. Everything was perfect! Although the weather was fantastically warm, we opted for the beautiful interior instead of the lovely beer garden:) A must-see! The five of us stopped by for dinner shortly before the kitchen closed. The waiter was friendly, the food was flexible, and the food was prepared quickly. Two beers and an hour later, everyone was finished for the day, and we were able to return to the hotel satisfied and full. We'd be happy to return.

Very tasty German cuisine at fair prices. I can recommend this restaurant to anyone in Friedrichshagen who enjoys German home cooking. Delicious Königsberger Klopse (meatballs) or mustard eggs, delicious! Also, a big compliment to the service staff. Keep up the good work, you're doing a great job.

Great, since my costs have also increased, I'll deduct a flat €1 from your bill. Let's see how big your eyes are. That's a cross between stupid and cheeky. Quick note: It's a shame to annoy guests with the cover of the menu if you don't follow through. With a bottle of wine in the €20 range, at least the first glass should be poured.

Quaint...German...Berlin... Great German cuisine. A 1930s-style setting. Great, attentive service.

Another authentic Berlin restaurant with a traditional feel. Here, the guest is king, not the waiter. It's impressive how seven different dishes are served at exactly the same time to seven eager guests. All at the perfect temperature, and then everyone enjoys their meal. Kudos to the kitchen and service. By the way, this little place was first mentioned about 250 years ago. They've since renovated. 🤭

We were there early evening on a Saturday...received a relaxed welcome...got a table without any problems...someone was there quickly with the menus...everyone found something delicious...We had a solyanka as a starter, then sweet and sour eggs and a steak au four for the main course...everything was good...even my grandmother thought the egg dish was great and loved the Dijon mustard sauce...had nothing to complain about...would gladly go back 👍

If you're looking for an authentic, unpretentious restaurant, this is the place for you. A spacious outdoor area at the end of the wonderful Bölschestraße in Friedrichshagen offers traditional German food. My family had the pork knuckle, and I had the chicken breast. The food sometimes takes a while to arrive, but it's always freshly prepared. The staff is friendly and enjoys chatting with guests. Prices are reasonable. The menu also includes seasonal dishes, such as chanterelle mushrooms. Local beers are available. After the sumptuous meal, a short walk to Müggelsee, just a stone's throw away, is recommended.

A beautiful building, preserved in its period ambiance, truly original from its time. The only thing that bothers me personally is that the guests are incapable of quiet conversation. Also, the parents of small children are incapable of getting their children to rest for an hour. Apart from that, I'm completely sold on this restaurant!

Very delicious food. We had the black pudding, beef goulash, pork knuckle, and meatballs. The portions were large. Good value for money. When it stormed, we were able to move inside without any problems. The staff was very friendly! Thank you!

I eat there regularly, and we were there again just yesterday. As usual, it was delicious. First and foremost, though, I'd like to praise the excellent service. I'm impressed by how friendly, humorous, and polite they are. Since that's no longer a given in restaurants these days, it's especially noticeable here. Many thanks to all the staff for the warm service. I also think the portions are reasonable for the price, and as I mentioned at the beginning, the food is always delicious! For Christmas, we usually order duck with dumplings and red cabbage. Thanks also to the kitchen for the delicious food :)

The meat was cooked to perfection. But unfortunately, the mashed potatoes and vegetables were noticeably cold. Hence only 4 stars.

We have been coming every Easter Monday for the past 3 years and we are thrilled every time.

Eating out on Sunday is fine. Unfortunately too expensive for the week. In any case the accident with 19.50 €.

I had good food but when I paid I could see the cook with black hair and fat scratching his ear and then touching the food. I threw up on Tram with food from this store. He also wore flip flops with black toenails 🤢

For our funeral service with 40 people, we received very competent advice in advance, professional service with pleasant attentiveness and very tasty food, with something to suit every taste. Not when it's cold outside. After an hour of waiting for Eisbein I was already very cold because the room temperature was well below 20 degrees. When Kniebein was served, the waiter "reassured" me with the information that the Eisbein would be delivered here and he couldn't do it either.

We were thrilled. A typical brewery: ambience, food and of course the range of drinks, logically starting with beer. Seasonally currently the Doppelbock...an event, sensational!!!

We went here for lunch with friends. Overall, a good, if not outstanding, experience. When it came to service, one waiter in particular stood out very positively; when it came to the food, there were mixed opinions between "ok", "good" and "very tasty" - no one at the table experienced a disappointment. Definitely worth repeating if you're in the area and feel like traditional Berlin/German cuisine.

We met here 29 years ago and the atmosphere is as authentic as it was back then. Extremely friendly staff, we felt very comfortable. Very good food and a "rat killer" for dessert.

We from the village... We spontaneously got a nice table for 5 people in this great, rustic restaurant. On Saturday, early afternoon, there was excellent, very tasty food. German cuisine! Pork knuckle, pot sausage, goulash, mustard egg and much more. The service was super!! Funny, warm, simply fantastic. And the spicy schnapps is also recommended. :) We say thank you from the bottom of our hearts for this great gastronomic experience. Please keep it up! ♡

Great restaurant. Today we went to Sunday brunch with the family for the first time. The selection was great, there was something for everyone and it tasted very good too. Unfortunately it was a bit dark in the buffet area, which made the selection a little more difficult. Toilets were clean. The staff were always behind, the table was cleared regularly and asked for drinks, but one waiter seemed a bit stressed, but it was also very busy. Of course the volume also corresponds. The parking situation is terrible, but unfortunately that is the status quo in Friedrichshagen. We will definitely come back again to dine a la carte.

We went to the Bräustübl for the first time for Christmas dinner with family on December 26th, 2024 and were very disappointed! Although we had to pay a deposit for the guaranteed goose, it was no longer available on the already reduced menu, supposedly no delivery. The game goulash as well, so that only duck, fish and vegetable lasagna and fries were left for the children, with some. poor quality; the service was like mass processing. Unfortunately, our expectations were not met, so we don't want to experience it again! Better planning and kitchen would be desirable!

After we celebrated our wedding at the Bräustübl 50 years ago, we met here again on the occasion of our golden wedding anniversary. It was worth it this time too, all guests were very satisfied. The buffet was perfect and plentiful, with something for every taste. Our special requests were met and the service was excellent. Price - performance is right. We'd love to come back.

Hello, I would like to give my impression of your restaurant. We recently decided to eat at your place. It should be a pork knuckle and a goose leg. It was unbelievable what we got and especially for this price, especially for the goose leg, almost 34 EU. Both sauces tasted the same regardless of whether it was goose or pork. The goose leg still had quills in it, disgusting and the meat was dry. So you can say none at all Price performance ratio. The service was okay and so was the knuckle. Conclusion not everything should be eaten at your place.

Food was good, but the restaurant itself wasn't that well organized. The atmosphere is old-fashioned and rustic but pleasant. More suitable for a visit with a small group.

Were there for the Christmas party, it was really good. The food was very tasty!!

We had our annual Advent dinner there with the family. Our waiter was absolutely great! He made a tremendous effort to keep track of our hustle and bustle and always had a smile ready for us. Great service! A nice, large extra room was prepared for us. Sufficient thought was also given to the children. The food was good. Prices ok. All in all, a great afternoon! Highly recommended.

It was definitely too cold there.

The service was very rough; when you asked, you were always told that everything was on the menu. The table had sticky dirty fingerprints on the top of the table edge. Food on the display in front of the restaurant had been out of stock for a long time, a brief reorientation when taking the order made the waitress jittery, she had so much to do and couldn't even update the display because of all the stress. Even when asked, after the waitress dropped 2 beers and partly poured them over my mother's back, asking her to go to the toilet to help her clean up (my mother is blind), we were informed that it was yes it is there. The beer mats were thrown on the table and unfortunately so was the beer. We had to wait a long time for the food, it tasted ok. A free drink wasn't even offered to compensate for the sweater that was completely soaked on the back. This was definitely our last visit there, it used to be a great, quaint restaurant, but there isn't much left of it except for the furnishings of the location.

Our assigned waiter David looked after us thoroughly and in a friendly manner. Great performance of the role of host. We felt very comfortable. The drinks and food we ordered came quickly and tasted great. Nice good home cooking! We would love to come back.

We celebrated our silver wedding anniversary and 60th birthday in this restaurant with old charm on October 19, 2024. The food was delicious and our 30 guests were totally thrilled. Such service, especially from Henriette, was exemplary, no one was left high and dry here, always a nice word and so cool that we would like to come back. Despite the stress, she was always in a good mood and very nice. Thanks to their efforts, the celebration was a success. Not to forget the loving and tasteful setting of the tables with our decorations in preparation. We can recommend this restaurant 120%. A very big thank you also to the kitchen!!! Addition: Our guests subsequently raved without exception about the food, the ambience and the service.

Unfortunately, there are only a few authentic restaurants left in the capital. But this is one of those! With flair, heart and soul and a menu to kneel down on. The service is careful, friendly and quick and the ambience is middle-class and rustic. A pearl in the (south) east of Berlin!!!

The waitress didn't like the fact that I was checking the bill before paying and she gave me two, far too hard, pats on the shoulder and told me to be quiet because she had done the math well. I didn't like the way or the strength in which she did it

Everything was just right: friendly welcome, good advice, comprehensive and very friendly support. The food (home-style cooking, fish, meatless dishes) was very tasty and more than plentiful - I had the goulash, my wife fish - and fairly priced, the ambience was rustic with lots of nice details. A very pleasant gastronomic experience, thank you very much!

Although we hadn't made a reservation, the nice waiter gave us a very nice place for us with a small child. The food was very tasty, no matter what everyone had, schnitzel, steak au four or Königsberger meatballs, everything was delicious. Changing table was also available. We'll be back.
