Restaurantevmuy amplio , mejor ir con reserva porque son muy cuadriculadoa para organizar el servicio. Nos atendió una camarera de origen cubana excelente, muy profesional y agradable. La comida muy buena sobre toso el codillo de cerdo. El chucrut demasiado avinagrado y el wienersnitzel ( bistec empanado) riquísimo. El mejor que probamos en Alemania. La cerveza muybrica. Todos bien recomendable

Excellent environment, excellent food... but above all excellent beer!

Had an Obazd'n with an extra pretzel. The Obazda is the Bavarian litmus test. Kitchen - it has to be made fresh every day because the onions incorporated cause it to tip over after 24 hours and the Camembert comes through sharply; it has to be homemade, anything else is fake cheese. The Obazda here: pale, tasteless, homogeneous consistency: industrial product, with an attempt to spice it up with fresh onions. Plus a side dish of radishes: watery, tasteless, at least no radish or radish taste whatsoever, but preservative E300, probably industrial goods (Metro?). The bread: crumbly, old, industrial goods. The “freshly baked pretzel” was old and hard from the day before. This place advertises itself with the name of an almost 800-year-old Munich institution, and the contrast to the main building couldn't be greater. Of course, also a statement that Berlin and the numerous tourists there come to terms with. The Augustiner company should withdraw the name. One star for service and ambience.

Quaint Bavarian beer house and restaurant. Very busy, noisy, but worth a visit. Only the service on the outdoor terrace could have been better.

Had an unpleasant experience during my dinner at this restaurant. Food is delivered very quickly but incomplete, and even after asking for my side dishes I unfortunately did not receive anything. When the waiter came to pay, we immediately asked "What should the bill be?", instead of first asking if we were satisfied. The waiter seemed rude and not very service oriented. We didn't tip because we weren't satisfied, to which he responded "Oh, so you weren't satisfied?". We were then given a suspicious look and the payment was completed without exchanging a word. Finally, a tip is expected in the toilets for a woman who, while holding a piece of paper, tries to convince us that she maintains the toilets there. However, the toilets were smelly and dirty. Unfortunately, I was dissatisfied with my visit and advise everyone not to come here. It is assembly line work made for tourists.

Really nice building but our experience was tarnished by staff demanding tips. Even when going to the WC, a woman shouted at me for not paying her to use the bathroom. The waiter then asked for a tip - but this pressure is unnecessary. Customers must be permitted to leave (or not leave) what they feel appropriate. We normally round up the bill, but given the unnecessary pressure we simply declined - the waiter was not happy and scoffed at us. The food was canteen quality and very basic. Overall very overpriced for what it is.

Every time me and my family come to Berlin, we always come to eat here. The place is cozy and authentic, the food is delicious in here! There is always plenty of people and no matter how many years have passed it’s great! Highly recommend!

La Brasserie allemande dans sa splendeur. L'accueil est sympa, l'ambiance bon enfant, (on dirait que les "garçons" s'amusent en travaillant). En plus les bières sont très bonnes, et elle propose des plats du jours (copieux). Sinon, la carte est bien garnie, avec des spécialités allemandes (Currywurst, escalope panée, jarret de porc...). Située au Gendarmenmarkt, pas loin de la cathédrale française, elle mérite le détour.

We were there for a quick business lunch. Prices were rather high for the amount to be found on the plate. Service was fine and friendly. Nothing special , nothing extraordinary but all good.

Absolute robbery. Food is decent but double normal Berlin prices. Waiters trying to guilt trip you into giving them 20% tip. Avoid.

If you want to stop drinking beer - this is the place for you! Rude service. It was the middle of the day - and we didn't have half the menu in stock. The food was gone! We waited 20 minutes for beer after ordering! We waited 1 hour for food. How can that be?

We had made a reservation online that was valid for 2 hours and when we arrived on site they had no knowledge of it and seated us at a table. After 3/4 of an hour we were informed that our table was occupied elsewhere and complimented us outside with the comment that the table was reserved. The food also left a lot to be desired and was overpriced for the quality. The fries were soggy and the currywurst was more of a ham cracker. Therefore awarding a star for ambience

Anyone who is not afraid to spend an evening sitting on not-so-comfortable chairs and enjoys the typical brewery atmosphere (which is sometimes reminiscent of a train station hall) can always experience fantastically friendly, fast and courteous service here with great pub food ! The half farmer's duck is crispy and virtually fat-free, the pork roast actually always includes a piece of crust, the schnitzel comes in a super-crispy breading, the snacks are really filling and the beer just tastes good... =) The selection is only for vegetarians/vegans quite minimal, but somehow that's to be expected. If you have more than 2 people, it's best to reserve a table in advance!

Unfortunately the waiters are a disaster. We were a larger group, paid individually and everyone was charged a tip without asking. The service wasn't friendly from the start and when we pointed out the calculated tip, they became very rude and told us that it was the least we could do. After 15 minutes of discussion, they deigned to persistently ask everyone for a tip and not calculate it from the start. If you offer good service you are happy to give a tip, but with this kind of condescending manner and the menu is not cheap anyway, definitely not. It's a shame because the restaurant could actually be quite nice. Unfortunately not recommended. Then it's better to go to Erdinger, which is not far away.

Poorest quality Snitchel I have eaten in German! Very thin poor quality mean and the overall taste was that it had been fried in oil that fish had been cooked in. Very unpleasant and disappointing!

Despite having reserved a table (online), we were asked to leave after an hour. There was no reserved sign at the table we were assigned. The waitress who asked us to leave simply turned around and left. We definitely won't be going there again. Fries were soggy.

I was in Berlin for two days with my girlfriend, and decided to try German cuisine in this restaurant. I can't say that it's cheap here, but it's not too expensive and the portions are huge. We really liked it

After the final experience with with mask protocol once and providing poor service is 4 out of 5; yes the food, beer, and atmosphere were that good.

Terrible service. We’ve booked a table and arrived earlier by one hour: waiter literally yelled at us what are we doing so early and told us to come on time. This is a busy place! We were patient with a few things that were goofed up, but our overall experience was great! We ordered Nuremberg sausage and the fried schnitzel. We enjoyed it to the end! Refreshing German blond beer made it all come full circle for us. We will be back again!

Food was okay, but nothing special. This is a restaurant in Berlin trying to be a stereotypical Bavarian restaurant for tourists (For those who don't know, Bavaria is very different from Berlin). After 2 weeks in Germany, I found the service here was below average for German standards. It was slow service, but I've found that to be pretty standard in Germany-- Dinner seems to be an event where you have a table for at least 2 hours, in contrast to the U.S., where they try to have you in and out in less than an hour. In Germany (and most of Europe) I've also found that the wait staff generally will leave you alone unless you get their attention-- no big deal, cultures are different. However, here I could tell they intentionally ignored me multiple times when I was attempting to get their attention. I've seen many reviews now that they pressure you to tip, and this was also my experience. In Berlin, tipping is not manditory, but 5-10% is considered normal for good service. Nonetheless, I tried to leave a 5% cash tip (generous for below average service) and the waitress tried to pressure me to leave more. I did not, and she scoffed and slammed the tip back on the table. I think this is a place that attracts American tourists, and they try to pressure unknowing tourists into leaving large tips when they don't know any better. I would not recommend this restaurant-- if you want good Bavarian food, just go to Bavaria. Berlin has a lot of good food of their own.

The restaurant was recommended to us because of it's traditional Germanic foods. Our waitress was blunt and not very courteous, which I wrote off as a cultural "thing." We tried the Currywurst, Pork Schnitzel, and a couple of beers; which were average.

Food, drinks and atmosphere were fine but the evening ended rather unpleasantly when the waiter decided to tip himself 10% and was annoyed when I said I wanted to decide myself how much I want to tip. After trying again to take the card reader away from me I finally got to type in myself.

Not like the beergardens that they have in Munich but still it is one of the best options around charlie point. Best commercial beer of baveria, we liked their touch of currywurst also.

Table reservations make sense. Everything fits. Ultimately it is just a “Bavarian tavern”. The ambience, food and drink offerings are designed accordingly. Food was tasty, beer too.

Centrally located place with typical German food, there is variety and in our case we ordered currywurst. We didn't like that the waitress pre-marked the tip for us, although it must be said that she asked us if we agreed or not but we didn't have the option to indicate up front the amount we wanted to leave in that case.

Very unfriendly service, despite the advertising display, no precious material barrel tapping and the room mushrooms are unimaginative, bland and with an unpleasant amount of starch. A real failure and a shame for the Augustiner restaurants and brewery.

Most of the staff could communicate in English. I visited Haksen because I was really curious about it. Arrived before 6 o'clock. Perhaps because it was before there were too many people, the food came out on time. I was also recommended beer, and wow, I was really satisfied. It was so delicious that I thought about ordering another drink, but I was full so I gave up. ㅠㅋㅋㅋ Haksen is 1kg... haha.. I found out after ordering. Unless you are eating a large meal, you cannot eat alone. And the hakseon is crispy on the outside and moist on the inside. (But the meat inside is dry. The skin is oily.) Halfway through eating, I suddenly got bitten and slowed down, but I used mustard sauce and salt and pepper to get rid of it. Haha. The sauce that comes with the meat also cuts down on the greasiness, so make good use of it. I think I'll order cabbage salad together later. I had a delicious meal thanks to the friendly staff who welcomed me! exorcism!

This was the last meal of our euro tour and it did not disappoint, the pretzel was warm and soft, the schnitzel Vienna style was mouthwatering and bigger than the plate! The fried potatoes were golden and seasoned well. The staff here was great and offered us the Oktoberfest barrel that came back and it hit the spot. If you're in Berlin you Can't skip on this place.

Scammers. They charged us 20€ extra and didn’t give us the ticket with the details. The waiter yelled at us saying the tip was mandatory when we decided not to tip. Horrible experience, I really encourage to choose other restaurant.

First of all, waiters unpleasent, teasing our pregnant friend why she orders alkoholfree… rolling eyes, every order takes ages. Anyway, food was tasty and we had a nice time, until we was kicked off (on Google maps open until 1 am, the waitress said we have to leave at midnight) and altaugh we waited for our „last round“ beers over 20 minutes we had to leave at 23:45 and she suggested to finish the beer outside. It was the first and last time for us.

Actually "just" a Bavarian brewery restaurant, as there are many, but still apparently very popular in Berlin. Even on a Monday evening nothing works here without a reservation. It's correspondingly hustle and bustle here, which also has its charm. However, the service staff clearly find it difficult to keep track of the hustle and bustle, so you should take extended waiting times into account. The food is decent, but nothing more. The beer is of course delicious, of course where else if not here...

The manager was discriminated against Asians. Even though there were plenty of seats, they guided us to the seats next to the door. I've heard and seen people without reservations being asked to come inside. That manager should be ashamed. It is that they do that in Berlin, Germany, where the Jewish Museum is located. Unlike him, the other staff were friendly and the food was delicious.

Augustiner is a classic, even as a Berliner I go there once a year to eat the really good knuckle. It's always busy, lots of tourists and you should make a reservation. But it's still worth it. The waitress is always busy, but does her best. This time I wanted to try something different and chose the goulash with spaetzle. Maybe I could have thought that you shouldn't order a Swabian specialty in a Bavarian restaurant... The goulash was actually quite good, but it was ready-made spaetzle. Unfortunately that was disappointing for the price. Then it's better to have the knuckle again!

Underground experience!!! Don't go. Pure tourist booth that places zero value on service. On the contrary, the service is insulting. We were criticized several times for being seated at the wrong table. From impatience to rolling our eyes when ordering because we weren't quick enough to groaning in annoyance, it was all there. When I asked why the service was so bad, they said: it's just Berlin. Just, wow!!

We stopped in for a snack and overall food was tasty and beer was flowing. Service was very friendly but a little slow at times. We ordered Hell and were also talked into getting the Octoberfest beer that was a little flat. I had better beer elsewhere during the weekend. We had sausages, mash and sauerkraut which was great and also potato soup

I don't mind tipping. If my experience wasn't terrible, I'll tip you. If the waiter obnoxiously tries to FORCE me to tip by saying "it's part of german culture, you have to", firmly suggesting an amount of 10%...wow. That's ridiculous. Not the amount, but the interaction itself. Everyone is free to tip as much as they want. If you can't survive without those tips, take it up with the restaurant owner charging absurd prices for disappointing "bavarian" food with no soul or love. Absolute tourist trap with obnoxious, rude and at least delusional, at worst manipulative wait staff. Stay away. If you want a mediocre schnitzel, just go to any random döner place. What a terrible experience.

It feels like a German version of TGI Fridays, but specializing in pork knuckle dishes. The only thing I really appreciated was the size of the pork knuckle. The taste was underwhelming, and the service was average. I’d recommend it only if you’ve never tried German pork knuckle before—it’s worth a visit just to see what Schweinshaxe looks like."

Very fun atmosphere, had a great time drinking steins if their namesake beer. The sampler was great, but didn't love everything on it. Favorites were the knuckle, of course, sausage, schnitzel, and kaesespatzle.

The food is good, service is on a very low level. Our waiter pretended not to speak english when i saiddont want to tip him. If you pay by card you have to choose if you want to tip (and how much) or not to tip.

Well, I know that a waiter from Chile itself is going to read this message and understand it, so I can only show my gratitude for the professionalism and courtesy of the workers, I fall in love with one of them, who had English legible and very friendly. A HIGHLY RECOMMENDED place, very central, with a spectacular kitchen.

A pity. I arrived super excited to eat lokal food and had the worst service. The place was at 20% occupancy there were enough servers. They just didn't want to do their job and they were lazy around. A pity because the experience started amazing and could have been great.

Let's go by points. Positive things to highlight: the food was delicious and of good quality. The beer is very worth it since they pour it great. We tried two of the beers on tap and loved them. “Questionable” things: the waitress did not tell us or comment on the fact that in that establishment we had to tip 10% and she literally imposed it on us. In addition, from time to time I would take a sip of a liquid similar to beer (I can't say if it was or not), which seems quite ugly to me and gives a pretty bad image when you are working and therefore providing a service.

First of all, we were at the Augustiner headquarters in Munich-am Platz1 (that's the name of the street corner there). It was great there!! That's why we went to Berlin to have a comparison (Munich was too far for us this time). Berlin It's a very cheap imitation! The waitress wasn't in the mood to look - the beer didn't come close to the Munich one at all - the Edelstoff tasted just like the Munich Hell!! The same tap waitress said: I have no idea!! Food: Well! The goulash and the roast pork (the flagship dish) with dark Augustinian sauce, super in Munich - no comparison in Berlin!!! Maybe the chef should take tutoring lessons in Munich again!! Outside in the well-prepared summer garden the mice have wandered around the tables! Conclusion: There is enormous potential for improvement - but as long as the tourists come, everything is fine! We as Berliners will avoid it!
