Restaurant Berry in Kassel

The Berry restaurant is beautifully located and centrally located. The interior is largely in keeping with the previous owner's (Fratelli) style, but now looks noticeably worn. The service unfortunately left much to be desired: A young lady served us rather listlessly and asked for our order twice after we'd ordered our drinks – even though the restaurant was almost empty, which made this lack of attention difficult to understand. We ordered two bruschettas for starters. The toppings were tasty and attractively presented, but the bread wasn't fresh and seemed like it had been left over from the day before. The two pizzas we chose as main courses were served quickly and were tasty. The drinks, however, were unfortunately only room temperature and barely carbonated due to insufficient refrigeration. **Conclusion:** The previous owner's concept has unfortunately not been continued at the same high quality level. The service needs significant improvement. While the pizzas were delicious, the overall impression is unfortunately not enough to warrant a return visit.

I went to Berrys today and I was thrilled! Very friendly service, a cozy atmosphere, and truly authentic cuisine. I particularly want to highlight the lasagna – absolutely delicious, perfectly seasoned, and freshly prepared. You can tell that great attention to detail is put into the cooking here. I definitely recommend it; I'll definitely be back!

I discovered it because of the carbonara and the authentic guanciale! It was delicious, but the cream made me miss the original flavor—please skip the cream. Then it's truly an authentic Italian carbonara. The pizza was good, according to my girlfriend.

I was able to enjoy my lunch there on a weekday at a relatively quiet time of day. The restaurant offers 24-hour service, which is a huge advantage for tourists like me. This allows you to plan a stop at any time. My meal was delicious, and the staff were very attentive, friendly, and quick. I can therefore wholeheartedly recommend a visit to Restaurant Berry!

This Italian restaurant offers three stars for food, a midpoint between the quality of the dishes (very good) and the authenticity of the Italian flavors (just adequate). Excellent service, a charming entrance with seating overlooking Friedrichsplatz, and a spacious dining room.

Delicious pizza and pasta, pasta (spaghetti lemon) cooked "al dente" in a delicious sauce and beautifully presented. The pizza was also delicious, with good crust and cooked to perfection. The cheese was a bit salty (maybe with Gouda?), but overall, it was good. The service was a bit slow but very friendly! The ambiance only gets 4 stars because we were outside on a relatively busy street. The interior is modern and chic. All in all, we'd be happy to come back.

The pizza dough is simply phenomenal! I haven't had such wonderfully thin and crispy dough in a long time.

The quality of the food was very good and the value for money was good. When I asked about allergens, the wait staff unfortunately didn't know much about them, but they asked me to check with the kitchen.

We tried it spontaneously and found it very good. The bruschetta was incredibly delicious, and the tomato sauce with the spaghetti Gambero was also super tasty. The waiter was very friendly. He recommended Sepia for us next time. We'll definitely try it.

Beautiful restaurant with delicious food. Unfortunately, the terrace isn't particularly attractive. It's a shame because it makes you hesitate to go in. Once you do venture inside, you'll see that the rooms inside are decorated with great taste, and you'll understand that this isn't your average restaurant.

We came here after finding it on Google Maps. Great first impression, amazing pizza, felt like a hidden gem to us. Then the service ruined everything. We came back 15 minutes later with family to grab drinks and eat the pizza we just bought, after praising it to them, and the server guy treated us extremely hostile. He eye-rolled at us when we told him we want to finish the packed pizza that we JUST bought from THEIR restaurant, had a horrible attitude and made us sit outside all the while the place was completely EMPTY inside and outside. The server told us it’s not normal what we were doing, altough we planned to order more drinks and even desert. But after being treated with such hostility, our taste for desert or anything else has vanished. Then my sister wanted to pay and one of the other male staff (chef or server) started asking her personal questions like where she is from, what her name is, and if she has Instagram. What is this behaviour??? Ridiculous. If this is how they treat happy returning customers, they don’t deserve any. Do not recommend. Never coming back again.

Visited the Berry restaurant in front of the theater in the late afternoon without a reservation. Very nice and attentive service. Interesting pizza and pasta variants on the menu. We had pizza and spaghetti. Everything was fresh and super tasty. Portions are generous. Good price-performance ratio in the middle of the city center. We'll be back.

Dieses Lokal ist für hungrige Gäste n i c h t zu empfehlen! Zur Ausgangssituation: Wir waren mit einer größeren Gruppe im BERRY Kassel zum Abendessen angemeldet. Aus der Speisekarte des Lokals bestellt jeder sein gewünschtes Gericht. Ich habe als Hauptgericht RAVIOLI mit Steinpilzen zum Preis von 17,00 Euro ausgesucht. Als das Gericht geliefert wurde, habe ich wegen der übersichtlichen Menge auf dem Teller scherzhaft nachgefragt, ob dies auch mein bestelltes Hauptgericht ist. Die Frage wurde mit JA beantwortet. Nach dem Verzehr und meinem noch vorhandenen Hunger, bat ich um einen Nachschlag. Die Mitarbeiterin erklärte mir, dass dies nicht möglich ist. Es gäbe als „Standard immer nur 8 (acht) Ravioli“. Ein Nachschlag sei von der Leitung des Lokals nicht vorgesehen. Wenn „Sie noch Hunger haben, müssen Sie ein zweites Hauptgericht bestellen“. Mein Erstaunen über diese Antwort kann man sich vorstellen. Ich äußerte mein Unbehagen und bat die Mitarbeiterin, ihren Vorgesetzen an unseren Tisch zu bitten. Leider ohne Erfolg. Ich versuchte dies noch des Öfteren. Als Folge wurde ich vom Personal bei Bestellungen am Tisch ignoriert. Erst ca. 90 Minuten später erschien der Küchenchef. Er entschuldigte sich wegen der Verspätung. Wenn ich wollte, würde er mir jetzt noch einen Nachschlag oder etwas anderes zubereiten. Ich lehnte ab und bat um die Rechnung. Ein Mitarbeiter kam zum Kassieren. Meine Frau zählte ihm die von uns georderten Speisen und Getränke auf und bat mich, den Zahlungsverkehr per Kreditkarte vorzunehmen. Der Mitarbeiter errechnete den Betrag und bat um meine Kreditkarte. Bevor ich sie übergeben wollte, bat ich um den Bon über die eingetippten Speisen und Getränke. Wie aus heiterem Himmel wurde er plötzlich laut und fragte, ob ich ihm misstraue. Das würde er sich nicht bieten lassen. Er möchte respektvoll behandelt werden, erklärte er. Er sagte, dass ich der Einzige wäre, der einen Bon vorher verlangte. Ich versuchte ihn zu beruhigen, aber es war zwecklos. Ich gab ihm deshalb meine Karte zum Bezahlen. Nach einiger Zeit kam er vorbei und legte den Bon auf meinen Platz. Inzwischen war unsere Runde auf das „Schauspiel“ aufmerksam geworden. Umso erstaunter war ich, als der Mitarbeiter den anderen Gästen an unserem Tisch vor dem Bezahlvorgang den jeweiligen Bon vorlegte. Nachdem wir unsere Rechnungen bezahlt haben, gingen wir auf den Weihnachtsmarkt. Dort verzehrte ich noch eine Bratwurst. Einige meiner Mitstreiter haben mir später mitgeteilt, dass auch sie von den kleinen Portionen und vom Essen insgesamt enttäuscht waren. Die Mängel haben sie leider nicht kundgetan. Ich wollte und konnte dieses jedoch nicht hinnehmen und habe deshalb diese Bewertung abgegeben.

Wir waren auf dem Weihnachtsmarkt mit unserer Enkeltochter und müssten etwas imrpovisieren mit unser Buchung. Das Personal war sehr verständnissvoll und hat uns sofort geholfen - sehr freundlich :) Das Essen war ausgesprochen gut in einem sehr schönen Ambiente. Hier steht der Kunde noch im Blickpunkt

There is finally a great, young Italian restaurant nearby. Not just a pizzeria. Although I'll be back for a pizza. Because here you get the best pizza far and wide. I had pork loin with homemade fries - to die for. The tiramisu is a light and delicious cloud. I am more than satisfied and will definitely come back. Even a year later, delicious and friendly 😊 we'll be back

Today I ate the Pizza India. I swapped the peppers (according to the menu) for broccoli. I had to pay €3 for that!!! impudence. Of course I brought it up because the pizza on the menu was cheaper than on the bill. Absolutely not fair to charge such a surcharge for changing a vegetable. I was just cheekily told that the brocolli would cost more. Bad service, unclear prices. For a €17.50 pizza you can definitely eat better. Not recommended there. Especially since the card prices don't seem up to date.

The three of us are very nice at the window around 8 p.m. The restaurant is huge at the back. There is always a place here. Very friendly service. Food quickly at the table, vitello, insalata, pizza bread, maccheroni alla 'Fratelli, all very good. A recommendation. Attention: toilet in the deep basement.

We were in Kassel with a school class and were looking for a restaurant that could accommodate 60 children under 10 years of age and where the children were also welcome. The pizzeria team didn't hesitate and prepared a pizza buffet for us. Even when we spontaneously made a change of plans, the pizza was packed for us without hesitation. All the children enjoyed it and with so much flexibility and friendliness we can only praise it. And if 60 children like the pizza, then that is probably very honest feedback!

For a normal pizzeria it was great. You shouldn't expect a mega Italian restaurant, but then everything is fine. Very attentive service. Huge portions. Price performance fits

The best rosemary potatoes I have ever eaten. Just the smell when the food was served. I had the pork medallions in pepper sauce. The meat was also on point. It couldn't be better.

It's unclear why the whole city is full but the restaurant is comparatively empty. The service was very friendly and the food was extremely tasty. MMn. The pizza is also better than, for example, from L'Osteria nearby. When we're in Kassel again, we'll stop by again.

We ate at Berry for the first time yesterday with 8 people, and everything was really great, service was very fast, - food arrived hot and tasty for all 8 people at the same time, - everyone enjoyed it and the prices were absolutely reasonable. I discovered this Italian restaurant by chance thanks to google map. I was really pleasantly surprised. The restaurant was surprisingly large. You can immediately see that the owner has put some thought into the interior design. I really liked the large ceiling lights. If I don't know a restaurant beforehand, I usually order the basics, which every Italian restaurant should taste good. With Cappaccio di Manzo you can tell how fresh the ingredients in the shop are. And yes, this cappaccio was definitely fresh and very tasty! Mmmmmm. And the pizza! The dough was nice and thin and crispy. Cheese wasn't salty, which I appreciated. Overall, I would definitely visit this Italian restaurant again if I'm in Kassel again. Prices and service were perfectly fine. 2nd visit: Today's Lunch: Spaghetti frutti di mare & small salad. Wowowowowow Sooo incredibly delicious! Definitely my favorite Italian restaurant in Kassel! Really recommended.

Unfortunately the meat was too salty and the creme brulee wasn't good at all. There was just brown sugar sprinkled on top. We were a larger group (24 people), but only 1 meal was brought, or a maximum of 2 meals, even though everything had been pre-ordered. The first ones had already finished eating and the last ones hadn't had anything yet. The chairs are very uncomfortable and once the heater was off it was also very cold.

18.7 degrees in the room, I was freezing. Waited a very long time for the food. Starter came with main course🤔 of course it was the guest's fault. Service, yeah. Food not really warm. Maybe you had a bad day, but I don't need it anymore, sorry🤷‍♂️

It is and remains a beautiful restaurant, and what is particularly evident at Berrys are the particularly nice and courteous waiters. The food has a good price/performance ratio. I just like being there, whether for a café or a delicious dinner.

Yesterday we went to the Berry restaurant for the first time as a group of 9 people. We agreed that we had certainly eaten the best pizza outside of southern Italy here. What was also great in our case was that there was a fairly large selection of pizzas and pasta without meat. For the first time I saw Pasta Norma on the menu anywhere outside the Catania region and I was thrilled. Service was friendly and accommodating. We would love to come back 😄

War zum ersten Mal da. Auch wenn der äußere Eindruck unscheinbar wirkt und der Restaurantname beliebig klingt, lohnt sich der Besuch. Nicht umsonst wird der Laden so gut bewertet. Meine Pasta war echt top.

Wir waren alle 3 von dem Besuch begeistert. Ich habe selten solch ein freundliches Personal erlebt. Alle waren super nett und sehr zuvorkommend. Dazu ist das Ambiente sehr schön und das Essen war super lecker.
