Restaurant Berry in Kassel

We reserved a table at 5:30 p.m.... No food at 7 p.m. even though the restaurant wasn't fully booked. No one from the staff even came and asked if something was wrong/if we had anything else we wanted. Never again...... .

Very friendly service in a pleasant atmosphere with delicious food.

Dieses Lokal ist für hungrige Gäste n i c h t zu empfehlen! Zur Ausgangssituation: Wir waren mit einer größeren Gruppe im BERRY Kassel zum Abendessen angemeldet. Aus der Speisekarte des Lokals bestellt jeder sein gewünschtes Gericht. Ich habe als Hauptgericht RAVIOLI mit Steinpilzen zum Preis von 17,00 Euro ausgesucht. Als das Gericht geliefert wurde, habe ich wegen der übersichtlichen Menge auf dem Teller scherzhaft nachgefragt, ob dies auch mein bestelltes Hauptgericht ist. Die Frage wurde mit JA beantwortet. Nach dem Verzehr und meinem noch vorhandenen Hunger, bat ich um einen Nachschlag. Die Mitarbeiterin erklärte mir, dass dies nicht möglich ist. Es gäbe als „Standard immer nur 8 (acht) Ravioli“. Ein Nachschlag sei von der Leitung des Lokals nicht vorgesehen. Wenn „Sie noch Hunger haben, müssen Sie ein zweites Hauptgericht bestellen“. Mein Erstaunen über diese Antwort kann man sich vorstellen. Ich äußerte mein Unbehagen und bat die Mitarbeiterin, ihren Vorgesetzen an unseren Tisch zu bitten. Leider ohne Erfolg. Ich versuchte dies noch des Öfteren. Als Folge wurde ich vom Personal bei Bestellungen am Tisch ignoriert. Erst ca. 90 Minuten später erschien der Küchenchef. Er entschuldigte sich wegen der Verspätung. Wenn ich wollte, würde er mir jetzt noch einen Nachschlag oder etwas anderes zubereiten. Ich lehnte ab und bat um die Rechnung. Ein Mitarbeiter kam zum Kassieren. Meine Frau zählte ihm die von uns georderten Speisen und Getränke auf und bat mich, den Zahlungsverkehr per Kreditkarte vorzunehmen. Der Mitarbeiter errechnete den Betrag und bat um meine Kreditkarte. Bevor ich sie übergeben wollte, bat ich um den Bon über die eingetippten Speisen und Getränke. Wie aus heiterem Himmel wurde er plötzlich laut und fragte, ob ich ihm misstraue. Das würde er sich nicht bieten lassen. Er möchte respektvoll behandelt werden, erklärte er. Er sagte, dass ich der Einzige wäre, der einen Bon vorher verlangte. Ich versuchte ihn zu beruhigen, aber es war zwecklos. Ich gab ihm deshalb meine Karte zum Bezahlen. Nach einiger Zeit kam er vorbei und legte den Bon auf meinen Platz. Inzwischen war unsere Runde auf das „Schauspiel“ aufmerksam geworden. Umso erstaunter war ich, als der Mitarbeiter den anderen Gästen an unserem Tisch vor dem Bezahlvorgang den jeweiligen Bon vorlegte. Nachdem wir unsere Rechnungen bezahlt haben, gingen wir auf den Weihnachtsmarkt. Dort verzehrte ich noch eine Bratwurst. Einige meiner Mitstreiter haben mir später mitgeteilt, dass auch sie von den kleinen Portionen und vom Essen insgesamt enttäuscht waren. Die Mängel haben sie leider nicht kundgetan. Ich wollte und konnte dieses jedoch nicht hinnehmen und habe deshalb diese Bewertung abgegeben.

Wir waren auf dem Weihnachtsmarkt mit unserer Enkeltochter und müssten etwas imrpovisieren mit unser Buchung. Das Personal war sehr verständnissvoll und hat uns sofort geholfen - sehr freundlich :) Das Essen war ausgesprochen gut in einem sehr schönen Ambiente. Hier steht der Kunde noch im Blickpunkt

There is finally a great, young Italian restaurant nearby. Not just a pizzeria. Although I'll be back for a pizza. Because here you get the best pizza far and wide. I had pork loin with homemade fries - to die for. The tiramisu is a light and delicious cloud. I am more than satisfied and will definitely come back. Even a year later, delicious and friendly 😊 we'll be back

Today I ate the Pizza India. I swapped the peppers (according to the menu) for broccoli. I had to pay €3 for that!!! impudence. Of course I brought it up because the pizza on the menu was cheaper than on the bill. Absolutely not fair to charge such a surcharge for changing a vegetable. I was just cheekily told that the brocolli would cost more. Bad service, unclear prices. For a €17.50 pizza you can definitely eat better. Not recommended there. Especially since the card prices don't seem up to date.

The three of us are very nice at the window around 8 p.m. The restaurant is huge at the back. There is always a place here. Very friendly service. Food quickly at the table, vitello, insalata, pizza bread, maccheroni alla 'Fratelli, all very good. A recommendation. Attention: toilet in the deep basement.

We were there for dinner. As a starter we had excellent bruschetta. The pizza was outstanding and the tiramisú was also excellent. Top service, fair price and good location. Absolute recommendation!

Pro: good taste, fresh, good price/performance ratio, friendly service Cons: Waiting time for food, long time between starter and main course, mushroom sauce was served with the chicken instead of herb sauce.

We ended up here by chance. The atmosphere is very nice and the food tasted great. Our “extra” requests (converting the dish to child size) were met without any problems. The service was very friendly and attentive.

Berry impresses with authentic Italian cuisine in an inconspicuous but very cozy atmosphere. Bruschetta, spaghetti, pizzas and salads are highly recommended. The service is friendly and attentive, and the price-performance ratio is good. A real insider tip for lovers of Italian cuisine!

I only visited the restaurant because of the good reviews and I have to say, it is simply delicious. We were there as a family and loved it, very nice staff, beautifully designed restaurant and the food was incredibly tasty. The pizza had very good toppings and was very well seasoned. Six of us ate "across the bed" and were all very satisfied. Extremely friendly service. Great, tasty food. Pleasant ambience with unobtrusive background music. Overall, not too expensive and absolutely worth the price.

We were in Kassel with a school class and were looking for a restaurant that could accommodate 60 children under 10 years of age and where the children were also welcome. The pizzeria team didn't hesitate and prepared a pizza buffet for us. Even when we spontaneously made a change of plans, the pizza was packed for us without hesitation. All the children enjoyed it and with so much flexibility and friendliness we can only praise it. And if 60 children like the pizza, then that is probably very honest feedback!

For a normal pizzeria it was great. You shouldn't expect a mega Italian restaurant, but then everything is fine. Very attentive service. Huge portions. Price performance fits

Everyone at our table wanted to eat a piece of it because it tasted really delicious! Pizza Berry is highly recommended! The plate for my pasta was really hot and the food tasted as if it was microwaved

The best rosemary potatoes I have ever eaten. Just the smell when the food was served. I had the pork medallions in pepper sauce. The meat was also on point. It couldn't be better.

It's unclear why the whole city is full but the restaurant is comparatively empty. The service was very friendly and the food was extremely tasty. MMn. The pizza is also better than, for example, from L'Osteria nearby. When we're in Kassel again, we'll stop by again.

We ate at Berry for the first time yesterday with 8 people, and everything was really great, service was very fast, - food arrived hot and tasty for all 8 people at the same time, - everyone enjoyed it and the prices were absolutely reasonable. Only the temperature in the large rear area of ​​the restaurant could be better. Otherwise 5/5! Come back.

I discovered this Italian restaurant by chance thanks to google map. I was really pleasantly surprised. The restaurant was surprisingly large. You can immediately see that the owner has put some thought into the interior design. I really liked the large ceiling lights. If I don't know a restaurant beforehand, I usually order the basics, which every Italian restaurant should taste good. With Cappaccio di Manzo you can tell how fresh the ingredients in the shop are. And yes, this cappaccio was definitely fresh and very tasty! Mmmmmm. And the pizza! The dough was nice and thin and crispy. Cheese wasn't salty, which I appreciated. Overall, I would definitely visit this Italian restaurant again if I'm in Kassel again. Prices and service were perfectly fine. 2nd visit: Today's Lunch: Spaghetti frutti di mare & small salad. Wowowowowow Sooo incredibly delicious! Definitely my favorite Italian restaurant in Kassel! Really recommended.

Unfortunately the meat was too salty and the creme brulee wasn't good at all. There was just brown sugar sprinkled on top. We were a larger group (24 people), but only 1 meal was brought, or a maximum of 2 meals, even though everything had been pre-ordered. The first ones had already finished eating and the last ones hadn't had anything yet. The chairs are very uncomfortable and once the heater was off it was also very cold.

18.7 degrees in the room, I was freezing. Waited a very long time for the food. Starter came with main course🤔 of course it was the guest's fault. Service, yeah. Food not really warm. Maybe you had a bad day, but I don't need it anymore, sorry🤷‍♂️

It is and remains a beautiful restaurant, and what is particularly evident at Berrys are the particularly nice and courteous waiters. The food has a good price/performance ratio. I just like being there, whether for a café or a delicious dinner.

Yesterday we went to the Berry restaurant for the first time as a group of 9 people. We agreed that we had certainly eaten the best pizza outside of southern Italy here. What was also great in our case was that there was a fairly large selection of pizzas and pasta without meat. For the first time I saw Pasta Norma on the menu anywhere outside the Catania region and I was thrilled. Service was friendly and accommodating. We would love to come back 😄

War zum ersten Mal da. Auch wenn der äußere Eindruck unscheinbar wirkt und der Restaurantname beliebig klingt, lohnt sich der Besuch. Nicht umsonst wird der Laden so gut bewertet. Meine Pasta war echt top.

Wir waren alle 3 von dem Besuch begeistert. Ich habe selten solch ein freundliches Personal erlebt. Alle waren super nett und sehr zuvorkommend. Dazu ist das Ambiente sehr schön und das Essen war super lecker.

Eine der besten Pizzen ganz Kassels! Vor allem Verdura. Die Nudeln fand ich etwas hart und den Salat etwas wässrig, aber die Pizza ist SUPER und Kellnerin und Kellner beide sehr nett! Von außen kann man das Restaurant leicht übersehen, aber es lohnt sich. (Tipp: Wie wäre es mit einem Mittagsangebot, zB eine kleinere Pizza + Kaffee oder Softdrink für glatte 10€, um mit Peter Pane zu konkurrieren? Mit einem großen Schild vorm Haus und schon ist der Laden voll! Weiter so!)

Meine Pizza Salami hat mir sehr gut geschmeckt und es gibt sehr schöne Kunstwerke an den Wänden! Am Friedrichsplatz gibt es ausreichend Parkplätze.

Schönes Restaurant und nettes Personal ABER ( langer Text🙈) Mein Mann, eine Freundin und ich, waren das erste mal dort! Ca 19:30 kamen wir an, gleich zum Tisch gebracht, Karten bekommen und Getränke bestellt, die auch gleich kamen. Und dann ging das warten los. 10 min und wir haben das Essen bestellt, weitere 15 min und die Kellnerin brachte uns die schlechte Nachricht, Pizza sei aus😓 schnell was anderes bestellt. Und warteten… Gäste kamen und gingen wieder weil sie auch warten mussten oder es keine Pizza gab. Andere Gäste, die nach uns kamen bekamen ihr Essen zeitnah. Kurz vor 9 fragten wir nach unseren Essen. Ausrede war: „ es war viel zutun deswegen dauert es länger!“ Das Lokal war fast leer 🤨 ca halbe Stunde später kam dann endlich unser Essen. Als Entschädigung bekamen wir eine Cola aufs Haus 👏🏻 Beim verlassen des Lokals sahen wir immer noch 2 Gäste sitzen die lange vor uns da waren und guckten uns erschrocken an und machten die Geste, „wir warten auch immer noch“ 🤷🏼‍♀️ Sorry aber wir kommen nicht wieder! Trotzdessen war das Essen 4 Sterne. Ps genauere Beschreibung der Speisen wäre wünschenswert. (Pilze in der Sauce, leider stand es nicht auf der Karte- Allergiker Vorsicht!!)

Gute Lage und sehr leckere Pasta. Jedoch habe ich schon besseres Vitello Tonnato gegessen.

Wir sind heute zum ersten Mal im Berry gewesen und was soll ich sagen... Es hat so super geschmeckt, dass wir zu zweit zwei Pizzen, Nudeln alla forno und Dessert hatten. Die Pizza hat einen wunderbar weichen aber trotzdem krossen Rand. Die Zutaten sind frisch, an den Nudeln ist reichlich Soße. Der Service ist aufmerksam und freundlich. Wir sind glücklich und satt und werden definitiv wiederkommen!

Wir waren zu zweit und indem Moment Restaurant war leer . Getränke erstmal falsch gebracht, statt Schorle süß ganz normal, auch in Ordnung. Wo wir Mitarbeiter fragen wollte einfach mehr als 10 min gewartet und als 3 Mitarbeiter auf der Theke mit Handy in Hand nicht mal kurz Blick zu uns oder über restoran zu machen. Wenn das Neue Kellner ist, es ist auch in Ordnung aber gewisse Sachen zu uns als Gast soll nicht in Ordnung sein.

Wir haben hier beim Betriebsausflug ein italienisches Buffet gegessen. Sehr leckeres reichliches Essen! Die Bedienung war freundlich und zuvorkommend. Der Saal, in dem wir gesessen haben war leider etwas schlecht gelüftet ....ansonsten aber durchaus okay.

Ich hatte einen leckeren Salat. Für die Qualität des Essens ist der Laden zu schlecht besucht. Offenbar noch ein Geheimtipp.

Freundlicher Kellner, sauberes Lokal und gutes Essen

Eines der besten italienischen Restaurants, die ich kenne. Da passt einfach alles. Gute Auswahl für Vegetarier und "Normalesser". Begeistert hat mich der Mix aus Birne und Käse auf der Pizza.

Moin als Gast aus dem hohen Norden, auf der Durchreise sind wir nach 2 geschlossenen Peter Pane im Berry gelandet, und wir sind froh, dass es so kam. Von außen wäre ich vermutlich dran vorbei gelaufen, wenn wir nicht gezielt gesucht hätten. Von außen bisschen unscheinbar. Wir hatten Glück, denn trotz sehr vollem Restaurant konnte man uns einen Tisch zuweisen, mit der vorherigen Info allerdings, dass alles etwas länger dauern könnte. Dennoch war sowohl Getränke, als auch das Essen in einem sehr angemessenen Zeitraum am Tisch. Die beiden personal waren wirklich auf Zack und stets bemüht und freundlich, der hohen Anzahl an Gästen gerecht zu werden. Einigen Gästen ging es nicht schnell genug, und waren sehr unhöflich, Respekt an das Personal dort so ruhig zu bleiben, ich hätte das nicht gekonnt. Die Auswahl auf der Karte ist sehr groß, und Preislich aus unserer Sicht eher günstig bis normal einzustufen. Zu Beginn gab es eine kleine Bruschetta als Gruß aus der Küche, diese war sehr lecker. Das hab ich so noch nicht erlebt, sehr sehr nett. Vorspeise und Hauptspeise waren bei uns beiden ebenfalls erstklassig, die dazu bestellte Soße hätte gerne etwas mehr sein können, aber ich würde behaupten, hätte ich nett gefragt, dass man mir sicher noch welche gebracht hätte. An diversen Vitrine gab es , auch Desserts Die sehr gute Lecker aussieht. Wir kommen, sofern wir wieder durch Kassel kommen, in jedem Fall wieder 👍 Vielen Dank an das Team für den wirklich tollen Abend und das leckere Essen
