Die beste Pizzeria in ganz Kassel. Service top, Essen immer hervorragend und auch das Ambiente sehr schön 🥰 Wir hatten uns die Pizza auch schön öfters abgeholt, weil es oft sehr voll war. Auch zu Hause schmeckt sie immer sehr lecker als wäre sie frisch aus dem Ofen. Ich liebe eurer Restaurant und eurer Speisekarte ☺️ Man hat selten noch so ein freundliches Personal, danke dafür. ❤️

Heute waren wir zum zweiten Mal hier und auch diesmal begeistert . Beim letzten Mal waren wir zu sechst dort, heute zu dritt, und beide Besuche waren rundum gelungen. Tolles Ambiente, sehr leckeres Essen in guter Qualität zu fairen Preisen. Besonders hervorzuheben ist der freundliche und aufmerksame Service ,man fühlt sich sofort willkommen. Ich kenne das Lokal noch aus den 90ern und muss sagen: Es hat sich wirklich gut entwickelt. Heute wirkt alles deutlich moderner und einladender. Die Speisen waren frisch, ansprechend angerichtet und geschmacklich hervorragend. Auch auf Sonderwünsche wurde freundlich eingegangen. Ein rundum gelungener Besuch, absolut empfehlenswert. Wir kommen sehr gerne wieder!

★★★★★ Absolute Empfehlung – besser geht’s kaum Wir waren heute im Da Gino in Kassel, nachdem wir ein Video darüber gesehen hatten – und die Erwartungen wurden nicht nur erfüllt, sondern deutlich übertroffen. Wir hatten Vorspeisen, Pizza und zwei Nudelgerichte. Ganz ehrlich: So gut haben wir seit Jahren nicht mehr gegessen. Alles war extrem frisch, hervorragend abgeschmeckt und handwerklich auf einem Niveau, das man selten findet. Die Bruschetta war aromatisch und perfekt balanciert, die Pizza sah nicht nur perfekt aus, sie schmeckte auch so. Der Boden und Rand war extrem lecker und mit richtig guten Zutaten belegt. Die Pasta-Gerichte waren geschmacklich einfach extrem gut (das Pasta Gericht meiner Tochter stand nicht mal auf der Karte und wurde trotzdem zubereitet). Für uns ist das ab sofort die beste Adresse in Kassel. Klare 5 Sterne – wir kommen definitiv regelmäßig wieder. ----------- Ergänzung nach dem zweiten Besuch: Heute waren wir erneut im Da Gino – bewusst mit anderen Gerichten als beim ersten Mal. Das Ergebnis war eindeutig: Die Qualität ist kein Zufall, sondern Standard. Auch die neu gewählten Speisen waren handwerklich auf den Punkt, geschmacklich klar definiert und qualitativ durchgehend auf extrem hohem Niveau (insbesondere die Pizza). Besonders erwähnenswert ist auch der Nachtisch: keine überzuckerte Beliebigkeit, sondern eine echte geschmackliche Komposition, die den Abend konsequent und überzeugend abgeschlossen hat. Spätestens nach dem zweiten Besuch ist klar: Hier wird konstant höchste Qualität mit hervorragendem Geschmack abgeliefert. Das Konzept funktioniert, die Küche ist stabil, und der Anspruch an Qualität und Service wird sichtbar gelebt. Für uns ist das keine Momentaufnahme mehr, sondern eine verlässliche Adresse auf Top-Niveau. Zur Einordnung: Während meiner Zeit als "Leiter IT-Projekte Deutschland" bei dem marktführenden Hersteller für IT-vernetzte kardiopulmonale Diagnostik war ich beruflich im Außendienst regelmäßig und viel in Deutschland, Frankreich und der Schweiz unterwegs und habe in diesem Kontext eine Vielzahl hochwertiger Restaurants kennengelernt. Vor diesem Hintergrund lässt sich nüchtern feststellen: Dieses Restaurant spielt (trotz der fairen Preise) ganz oben mit. Wir freuen uns schon auf die nächsten Besuche. ----- Ergänzung nach weiteren Besuchen: Inzwischen waren wir häufiger im Da Gino: Die geschilderten Eindrücke haben sich ausnahmslos bestätigt. Es handelt sich hier nicht um einzelne starke Tage oder glückliche Momentaufnahmen, sondern um konstant hohe Qualität über mehrere Besuche hinweg. Küche, Geschmack, Frische, handwerkliche Präzision und Service bewegen sich weiterhin auf demselben überzeugenden Niveau. Genau diese Verlässlichkeit macht uns große Freude, da jeder Besuch verlässlich gut wird. Das Da Gino liefert nicht nur einmal ab, sondern reproduzierbar – und das ist in der Gastronomie aus unserer Sicht das eigentliche Qualitätsmerkmal.

Was soll ich sagen….für mich der beste Italiener Kassels. Tolle Gerichte mit wirklich typisch italienischen Zutaten. Die aus meiner Sicht beste Pizza im Umkreis von mehreren Kilometern. Allein der Duft des Teigs zeigt jedem Gast, dass hier Wert auf lange Teigführung und den neapolitanischen Geschmack gelegt wird. Ich liebe jede Pizza. Und wo bekommt man schon Pasta alla Puta Nesca, die ich heute wieder gegessen habe? Wer sich die Karte anschaut und mal in Italien war wird merken, dass es hier wirklich italienische Küche gibt. Wer noch nicht da war, sollte das schnellstens ändern. Und wer mal da war, wird immer gerne wieder kommen. Vielen Dank für wieder mal einen tollen Abend bei euch.

Sehr leckere Pizza und insgesamt ein richtig angenehmer Besuch! Die Qualität der Speisen war top – besonders die Pizza hat überzeugt. Der Service hatte zwar ein paar kleine Patzer, war aber durchgehend freundlich, aufmerksam und sehr kulant, was das wieder mehr als wettgemacht hat. Auch das Ambiente ist schön gestaltet, man fühlt sich direkt wohl. Die Preise sind absolut angemessen für das, was man bekommt. Kleiner Tipp: Am besten vorher reservieren, da es schnell voll wird – lohnt sich auf jeden Fall!

Das Essen ist sehr lecker und der Service sehr freundlich aber die Lautstärke ist auch sehr hoch

Wir hatten die Pizza Pistacchiosa mit Fior di Latte, Mortadella, hausgemachter Pistaziencreme, gehackten Pistazien und Stracciatella. Der Teig war in Ordnung, hätte für meinen Geschmack aber etwas fluffiger sein können. Insgesamt war sehr viel Käse auf der Pizza und es wirkte, als wäre zum Schluss noch zusätzlich Olivenöl darübergegeben worden, wodurch sie ziemlich fettig war. Die Pistaziencreme schmeckte für mich eher wie normales Pesto. Positiv hervorheben möchte ich aber den Service – das Personal war wirklich mega freundlich. Auch das Ambiente war sehr schön und gemütlich eingerichtet.

Unsere Gerichte waren alle sehr lecker und gut gewürzt. Obwohl es voll war, war die Wartezeit nicht lang. Auch die Cocktails sind empfehlenswert. Der Service war gut, sehr freundlich und flott.

Wir hatten ursprünglich für sechs Personen reserviert, letztlich waren wir jedoch nur zu fünft. Zunächst saßen wir etwa 45 Minuten an einem Sechsertisch, was auch problemlos möglich war. Anschließend wurden wir jedoch gebeten, uns zu fünft an einen Vierertisch zu setzen. Für mich wirkte es so, als sollte der frei gewordene Tisch anderweitig vergeben werden. Ich habe angesprochen, dass ich dieses Vorgehen nicht in Ordnung finde, da es für uns deutlich unbequemer war. Leider zeigte der zuständige Herr dafür wenig Verständnis, was ich als nicht besonders kundenorientiert empfunden habe. Eine solche Situation habe ich in dieser Form bislang in keinem Restaurant erlebt. Positiv hervorheben möchte ich jedoch die sehr freundliche Kellnerin, die sich bemüht hat, die Situation wiedergutzumachen. Das Essen war sehr gut und qualitativ wirklich überzeugend.

The pizza was quite good, but the side salad was very disappointing. The Aperol was watered down. The place was noisy, with poor soundproofing. The service was also inattentive. All forgivable, of course. But the truly outrageous thing is the gender-neutral restroom, where the urinal is completely exposed. They've misunderstood the whole gender-neutral thing!

The absolute highlight of the restaurant, however, are the pizzas; for me, they are definitely the best in Kassel. We have been to "da Gino" for the fourth or fifth time since it reopened and unfortunately we cannot share the many positive reviews. At first glance, the redesign was worth it: the restaurant now has a stylish, modern design and seems to appeal to a wider audience. Unfortunately, we no longer feel comfortable in the new atmosphere: it's hectic and impersonal, you can't understand the person you're talking to because the acoustics in the restaurant are subterranean, and it's incredibly loud! What we appreciated so much about the old "da Gino" was the familiar, cozy atmosphere and the exceptionally delicious food! In our opinion, there isn't much left of that: our food was only lukewarm on at least two visits, and the toppings on the pizza are clearly stingy compared to previous years, while the price has remained the same. In addition, after a while there doesn't seem to be any time left to ask the guest whether everything is OK, which was part of previous visits to "da Gino". To summarize: Here, the once attentive and personal atmosphere has given way to a rather impersonal, far too loud ambience. Too bad! We still wish the family all the best for the new start.

The salad was too small, too expensive, the Parma ham on the pizza was dry and cut too thick, unfortunately not crispy either. We haven't had espresso in a glass either. Card payment only at the counter. My friends weren't happy either.

The atmosphere was very pleasant, the tables were well spaced (often in restaurants you get the feeling that every inch has to be occupied – but not here), the service was very friendly, and we had a view of the huge pizza oven. Das Restaurant ist nach der Reservierung modern, schlicht aber trotzdem sehr ansprechend eingerichtet. Das Essen hat uns sehr gut geschmeckt. Insbesondere die Pizzen waren ein Gedicht. Der Service war freundlich und aufmerksam. Kartenzahlung war natürlich kein Problem. Fazit: Guter Italiener in moderner Einrichtung - gerne wieder!

Our drinks were only served after repeated requests and the waiting times were far too long, which made the evening unpleasant. The quality of the food also left a lot to be desired. The starter plate was very clear. The bruschetta consisted of plain sliced ​​bread from the discount store, which is simply unacceptable for an Italian restaurant. It was the first time that I had to add seasoning to all dishes, which really shouldn't be the case for an Italian restaurant. The beer was also served without foam, which greatly affected the enjoyment. The atmosphere was loud and impersonal, which didn't help the overall experience. Particularly disappointing was the tiramisu, which was served with cocoa powder and whipped cream - it was really bad. I am giving this feedback because I want the restaurant to improve. Unfortunately, I can't recommend it overall.

There were two of us there and we each wanted a pizza burrata. When we ordered we were told that there would probably only be one burrata left. After thinking about it for a while, we decided to split the burrata half/half. After more than 20 minutes, the waiter came to us again and told us that unfortunately there would be no more burrata. (Various grocery stores are in the immediate vicinity.) We then ordered something else because we were quite hungry by now. Our question about how long it would take was not answered at all. Our cards weren't accepted when paying, so we had to pool because neither of us had much cash with us. Last but not least, the waiter simply took the money as a matter of course and thanked him without making any attempt to give change. Really audacious after such bad service. It's a shame, the atmosphere in the store is really nice, but because we were right next to the door there was a lot of noise every time someone went in or out... Food itself was okay, but not great either.

After the reopening, Da Gino presents itself with modern, attractive furnishings. The tables are spaced generously apart from each other. The investment in the new stone oven was worth it. The pizza is very tasty and of a very high standard. But the lasagne we tried also tasted excellent. The service was convincing and very friendly. The prices are moderate, almost cheap (for today's times and the quality offered). We'll be back.

I've been going to Da Gino for 23 years and have never been disappointed. First, we got the wrong pasta, which can happen sometimes. But even that was mediocre and way too expensive for the portion. The pizza was terrible... The sauce was incredibly sweet, 6 pieces of mozzarella that didn't even melt, the crust was black underneath, and the fungi pizza had about 3 sliced ​​mushrooms on it, so there were mushrooms on a total of 3 slices. The salad was delicious, but they didn't give you any bread with it, and it's not worth €13. A real shame.

Wir waren zu zweit an einem Samstag Abend dort. Zum Glück hatten wir reserviert, es war sehr gut besucht. Wir wurden sehr freundlich begrüßt. Auf Grund des großen Raumes war es relativ laut, vielleicht wäre eine Akustikwand an Stelle des Weinfasses eine bessere Alternative. Die Karte ist übersichtlich, auch vegetarische Köstlichkeiten sind dabei. Die Pizza war unglaublich lecker mit durchgängig frischen Zutaten. Auf Grund dessen würde ich gern wieder hier essen. Der Service ist leider ausbaufähig. Weder wurden wir nach einem weiteren Getränk, noch nach einem Dessert gefragt. Vom Nebentisch haben wir mitbekommen, dass nur noch 1 Dessert (von 2 zur Auswahl) zur Verfügung steht. Das war sehr schade.... Auch wurden die Tische lange nicht abgeräumt. Da die Pizzen reichlich groß sind, wollten wir den Rest gern mit nach Hause nehmen. Leider wurde das nicht gut an die Küche weitergegeben 😞 Alles in allem.......sehr leckeres Essen, schönes Ambiente, aber der Service muss noch an sich arbeiten....

Since December 3rd, 2024, Da Gino has shined in a new, unrecognizable shine. The long wait due to the renovation was more than worth it. Breathtaking taste. The pizzas here have always been one of the best in Kassel and the surrounding area and they have actually managed to raise the level again. The warm-hearted interaction with the customers rounds off a perfect day. We are now looking forward to eating regularly at Da Gino again and having many more nice conversations with the entire family.

Da Gino wurde wegen Generationswechsel sehr schön renoviert und im November 2024 quasi neu eröffnet. Man hat nun mehr Raumfreiheit als früher, es ist dadurch allerdings etwas lauter als früher. Die Speisekarte zeigt weitgehend die alten Gerichte auf. Die Küche ist jetzt offen einsehbar mit einem großen Pizzaofen, der 500 Grad schaffen kann. Very nice shop, great atmosphere - run by Italians and a fantastic pizza!!!!!

Successful reopening and we are happy to have been there. Great new room concept, completely new dagino. The oven-fresh pizza was very tasty and our favorite in Kassel! The Fritze has a new highlight and we'll be back, guaranteed regularly ;).

Small, sweet Italian restaurant with a very nice boss, where we like to stop by spontaneously and uncomplicatedly. All the dishes we have tried so far have been very tasty. The ambience was a bit dated, but the restaurant is currently closed for renovation. We are therefore very excited about the new opening.

I think the store will last forever.

Very tasty food for a good price. The “small” salad is huge, the pizza is great with a thin and crispy base. We were served very friendly. The ambience is a bit old, but that doesn't really bother you ;-)

Yesterday we were there for the first time with a larger group. The food and service were great. Great price/performance ratio. The deduction for the ambience results from the sanitary facilities. They were clean, but visually and smell-wise they could use some renovation.

Hausgemachte Pasta ist sehr lecker. Die Pizza ist ebenfalls Top, so wie man es sich beim Italiener vorstellt. Personal sehr freundlich und aufmerksam.

Ristorante gestito da famiglia calabrese squisita, mangiato bene con prodotti ottimi italiani. Dopo la cena è stato un piacere chiacchierare con tutti loro con la passione dei motori condivisa da entrambi .
