We visited the Bergsee to have some ice cream and were quite disappointed. First we waited an extremely long time until we could order - despite the occupancy being clear - and then each coupe was really small. The location is great and the service is also friendly - when you are served.

Can't understand the bad reviews. The food was tasty and warm, the staff tried hard and the view was nice even in bad weather.

I don't even know how to rate this place. I have never experienced such rude service anywhere. Some people don't understand German, you have to wait forever for someone to take an order, reluctantly, only to be told that we have to wait at least 2 hours for our food. For me the Landen should be closed. Hygiene also leaves something to be desired. Absolutely not recommended.

Food was terrible, salad was old, cordon blue was pressed meat without cheese, chicken wings weren't cooked through, fries were totally over-seasoned. The outside toilets were unreasonable, apparently under renovation for 2 years. At least we didn't have to pay for the food. There was no water for the dogs either. Definitely a great place to have a drink.

Had something to eat here this afternoon. You didn't get value for your money. The kids wanted chicken wings and chicken nuggets with fries. I didn't think it was worth the money they asked for it. I had a good tuna salad that was well filled. In the men's toilet, 1 urinal was away from the wall. Inside it smelled like nothing had been done since the 80's. The service was not very smooth. It seemed like there was no logic in it. All in all, a dated restaurant that could use a complete makeover.

We were a large group and had made reservations, but there were more people joining us. No problem. The location by the lake is wonderful and quiet. The food was to die for, the portions were very large and tasted wonderful. I had the veal cordon bleu and it was so tender and juicy, it tasted wonderful. The staff is friendly and fulfilled our wish of background music. Next time I'm in the area I'll definitely come back.

The service still needs work. We sat for 30 minutes. The waitresses were busy clearing up and collecting cash; walked past us and ignored us. It wasn't until we entered the restaurant that someone came to our table. It's a shame because the atmosphere has become great.

When I arrived I wanted to order an apple juice spritzer. Answer from the poor German-speaking waitress: We don't have it! When I received the card I was able to show her what I wanted. After what felt like an eternity I got 4 dl instead of a bottle of spritzer at 5 dl. She just said: Ah, you want something big! The place is so idyllic, the staff is so unfriendly and incompetent! To the kitchen: The iced coffee for my wife consisted of ice in the coffee!

A nice place to visit. The chef should be replaced. The cream chips, 2 millimeters thick, were stone hard and almost impossible to cut!!!!! The mountain lake toast was also edible, but should not be served to guests in this condition!

After a while we were finally able to order an ice cream sundae, water and 1x bruschetta. We waited far too long for the three little things. From the time we ordered, the ice cream sundae arrived after 20 minutes and the water 10 minutes later. We had to wait another 10 minutes for bruschetta. After repeated requests, overzealous waves and being told off that someone would come soon, we were finally allowed to pay after another 20 minutes. People at the neighboring tables were also amused by these conditions. About the taste: The ice cream sundae and the water were good, how much can you go wrong? The Bruchetta, however, was subterranean. Two lightly toasted halved rolls and oil-soaked, spiceless tomato salad. There was neither a fork nor napkins. This is definitely a lot better. The restaurant was moderately full at this point and there were a total of 7 employees running around. A little tip for the operators: it may be helpful to divide the operating surface into sections so that each service employee serves their assigned tables.

The drinks were ok, the ambience there is great, it's a shame that the food doesn't fit at all, because you could really do something with it there. The waitress was nice, but not very good at her job (forgotten stuff, waited a long time, not too attentive, but nice!). On a very positive note, when we paid and they saw the food we had barely eaten, we weren't charged for the drinks.

We were there a few weeks ago and ordered a burger and fries. The fries didn't come for ages, but after several notifications they were brought at some point. The burger was okay, the fries seemed like they came from the freezer (cold, soggy and unsalted). When we decided to give the restaurant another chance today, we were once again extremely disappointed. First we felt like we had to beg to be allowed to order. We ordered 5 portions of fries, which still didn't come after waiting for over 45 minutes and being told several times. We decided to pay for the cafe we ​​ordered and left the restaurant. It is a beautiful place with a lot of potential, which is unfortunately spoiled by extremely poor and incompetent service.

Nice restaurant with lots of seats right on the mountain lake. The place by the lake has been beautifully prepared and is lovingly decorated with flowers. You will be served in a friendly manner. Very nice place. Large terrace with a view of the lake. The plates are huge, but I have to admit that the Alsatian sausage salad wasn't good. Please !!! The Alsatian sausage salad has strips of cheese inside and not grated cheese. Unfortunately it was with grated cheese, very salty, unfortunately we couldn't eat it all. Or was the chef in love? A pity. I will come back but will take something else.

3 years ago everything was great, but now there is apparently a Balkan tenant who doesn't know much about service and doesn't speak much German. I have nothing against other nationalities, but when we are served warm, thawed Black Forest cake and my friend has a maggot in the blueberries of the apple strudel, and the waitress doesn't understand anything and just says that this is decoration, then I literally vomit. Unfortunately it was the last time!

Friendly staff and delicious food

We were left sitting for a very long time and had to wait a long time. We got the menu card ourselves. We had croquettes that were almost burnt. Very dark brown. We had spaetzle with cheese and cream. The cheese spaetzle arrived completely cold and the cream sauce tasted like a sauce in a bag. It is absolutely overpriced and it didn't taste good at all. The toilet is a disaster. Not maintained at all. It was worth it just for the location. Next time we'll take a picnic with us and sit comfortably by the water.

We had been looking forward to a visit to the Bergsee Restaurant for days only to be surprised by an ugly, disgusting and loud construction site. The entire restaurant is being remodeled and the boat rental is also closed. In order to avoid such a deep disappointment, we checked to see if the restaurant was open and we couldn't find anything about the renovation online. We won't be coming back.

The schnitzels were dripping in fat and were even charred. This can happen when there is a lot going on, but if as a chef you only have one schnitzel in the pan and there are no other guests, you have probably missed your job.

We recently took a walk by the mountain lake when the weather was nice and felt the need to grab a bite to eat and drink in this restaurant. The ambience of the mountain lake is great, but in my opinion that's it. The waitress greeted us in a friendly manner as we walked in and that was it. We waited about 15 minutes and still weren't served. The waitress had plenty to talk about with the cook, but it didn't sound like anything important when it came to the work. I also have to say that the restaurant was almost empty, there were only two people there who had already been served. The toilets are also beyond terrible. The end of the song is that we got up and left. We will only stop here again in the summer for an ice cream because there is nothing else on site, but otherwise we will no longer be guests here with this service.
