Restaurant Benedikt in Quedlinburg

Once and never again! Food completely overcooked and apparently warmed up in the microwave. Service unambitious and anything but friendly.

I've always wanted to go to this restaurant because I saw it in a movie. And apart from one small thing, I wasn't disappointed. The concept of setting up and using such an old half-timbered house as a restaurant is great. Despite the stress that was going on, the service was correct, polite and refreshingly familiar. Even though we only had coffee and cake, we felt like we had arrived. The cake was homemade and tasted great. And we will definitely come back again. I only have to allow a little criticism. The curtain at the entrance needs to be checked again from all sides. Especially in the upper part. Otherwise, keep it up and we look forward to next time.

We were there for dinner. We were welcome with a dog. For dinner we had veal liver, which was very tasty.

Food was really not good, I don't know how you can get porcini mushrooms to be completely tasteless. It really is a miracle. The game goulash was tough and hardly edible. Loveless. We won't be coming back.

Our meal was a 12/10!! It was absolutely delicious, the meat was spot on, the taste was phenomenal. We were very enthusiastic and would come back at any time.

If you want to eat out of a can, you've come to the right place. The prices are exorbitant, but the waiters are great and the atmosphere is nice. We've eaten much better at campsites. That's the lowest level to react to a movement like that. Dogs that are hit bark.

Anyone who is a bit positively crazy, like us, will feel absolutely at home here. Rustic atmosphere, top food and a team of young people who are very committed. Here the food and espresso are served on Meissen porcelain. Certainly a bit extravagant but very comfortable. Great Italian music in the background.

The staff is always ready to answer any questions you may have about the food and everything tastes amazing. I can't wait to come back and try more dishes from their diverse menu.

Sensational food of top quality.

Everything is perfect here: location, food, drinks, atmosphere and the boys are really sweet! The demand is corresponding and it is better to make a reservation or at least get a seat. We'd love to come back!

We went to Restaurant Benedikt twice, once for coffee and cake and the next evening for dinner. We are thrilled with this small restaurant in the middle of Quedlinburg city center. The service was extremely courteous, polite and competent. The food was excellent, as were the wines... which explains why it's better to make a reservation here... we'll definitely come back next time we're in Quedlinburg!

Quite small, which is why you should pre-order inside. The menu is ok and so is the food. If something doesn't work, a solution is found quickly and accommodatingly. We liked it, also because of the ambience.

Wonderful place to have a drink and certainly have a really good meal in the evening. We sat outside, had tea, a really tasty Scheurebe and a fish soup, which was great. The ambience is great, it's quiet outside, there's French lounge music playing and the house looks like it's in France anyway. The service was super nice and good. Really recommended here.

Benedict a wine restaurant 🍴 Lots of mixed dishes and dishes from European cuisines. Had a 🍠 sweet potato soup with broccoli 🥦 and vegetables. Very tasty, but it's too early for wine at lunchtime. Nice service and great ambience outside as well as in the restaurant!

Very nice restaurant right next to the Benedictine Church. Centrally located but not in the middle of the hustle and bustle of the old town. Wonderfully located under shady trees. Quaint restaurant, small but solid menu with fine wines. The waiters very attentive and friendly. Smoked salmon on homemade Röstitaler and the curry with sweet potatoes and fresh vegetables were first class. However, the dessert of vanilla ice cream with fresh strawberries, homemade eggnog and pumpkin seed oil was amazing. If the route takes us back to Quedlinburg, we are sure to stop at Benedikt!

Wir waren während unseres Aufenthalts mehrfach im Benedikt. Das Ambiente unter den schattigen Bäume ist wunderschön, besser sind aber die Speisen. Ob einfache Bruschetta, veganes Süßkartoffel-Curry oder eine Eiscreme-Variation zum niederknieen (Vanille, Eierlikör und Kürbiskernöl !), alles war überaus lecker. Auch der Service war ziemlich perfekt, sehr freundlich. Nur einmal schlug der etwas rauere Harzer Charakter durch, worauf aber prompt eine Entschuldigung folgte. Alles in allem die Empfehlung in Quedlingburg.

Very nice house, the pictures online also look like solid gastronomy. At around 6 p.m. the waiter says that the kitchen is already closed. On Wednesday in good weather. This is a negative attitude towards the guest. If you don't want to, then you shouldn't open it. Or state it in the opening times. I've noticed this in other restaurants too. You don't feel like it...

Light Italian cuisine, I missed a good mayor piece on the menu. Given the location😘 Very good noodles with chanterelles, great service, great atmosphere inside very lovingly designed.

We came here because of the good reviews to try something new. The small, clear map appears well thought out. Our order took less than fifteen minutes to arrive. The food tasted good. Then a long, dark hair was found in the food, which spoiled the experience. We told the young waitress who asked if everything was okay, “Everything would have been okay if the hair (which we showed him) hadn’t been there.” His answer: “No one here has long hair! “. Did someone prepare the meal before their working hours, I wonder, or what did “nobody here has long hair” mean? When paying, I would have liked people to at least express regret... but nothing. There probably won't be a next time for us because we didn't like the fact that a lot of shiny flies came to the table when the food was there. A pity… Reaction... there is NO WAY that could have happened during preparation. Of course… the guest brings hair, puts it on the plate and pays the bill. 😂 Sure!

Very picturesque spot, in the shadow of the large church, behind the market square. Centuries-old trees create a pleasant atmosphere. Benedikter hefe Weizen on tap, nice menu too.

We had very tasty food, but both portions were a bit too small for a (only) main course. It's a shame, because the taste is excellent. Sitting outside is relaxed and much quieter than sitting just a few meters further away in the hustle and bustle of the old town. Staff friendly, but sometimes a bit awkward.

Eine nette Location, um den Abend mit leckerem Essen entspannt ausklingen zu lassen… Die Bedienung nahm fröhlich und freundlich unsere Bestellung entgegen. Zu unserer Überraschung wurde das Essen nach wenigen Minuten gebracht. Der Anblick war allerdings etwas enttäuschend. Das Schnitzel (mit frischen Pfifferlingen) war geschmacklich neutral, nicht frisch zubereitet, die Panade hell und labberig- glich der Qualität von „gut und günstig“, eben in der Mikrowelle erwärmt. Für diese Preisklasse enttäuschend. Die Bedienung darauf angesprochen reagierte beleidigt, drehte sich um und lief weg. Schade, aber wir kommen nicht wieder.

And that the dog is welcome here & water is brought straight away! Keep it up!!

Very nice experience! We came here for coffee and cake, the cakes were homemade and incredibly good. Nice ambience in the historic house. The stairs to the basement to the toilets are very steep. But that is also part of the old building.

What an atmosphere in the great café right in the center of Quedlinburg. The lovingly decorated tables with the very comfortable chairs with lambskin the day after tomorrow for coziness. The interior is full of great decorations and so cozy that you should definitely check it out. The coffee was of course very good and for that I would like to give it 5 stars.

The menu was absolutely fantastic, the service was outstanding and the food was incredibly delicious.

The restaurant is quite small and is spread over two floors. There is a small separate room upstairs with a table for 5 or 6 people. If it's warm, you can also sit outside the door. The menu is short and, in my opinion, seasonal. The food was very tasty, the portions were sufficient. The staff was friendly, but could have been more sales-minded.

Food tasty, expensive, service good.

A really nice atmosphere, but unfortunately with completely overpriced prices. Unfortunately, the spaghetti with truffles and zucchini “The Original in Quedlinburg” for 21.50 euros doesn’t taste like truffles at all, it just tastes bland, and you can’t find the zucchini strips on the plate. If you order schnitzel with asparagus for 24.50 euros (on the menu with hollandaise sauce), they will initially be served without hollandaise sauce. If you ask, an additional 3 euros will be charged for the hollandaise. A children's portion of pasta without sauce and without anything costs 21.50 euros. After a lengthy discussion with the boss, you are credited 10 euros for the children's portion. It's a real shame, we ate at Benedikt a few years ago and it was fantastic. Apparently there has been a change of ownership. It's a shame for such a cute restaurant. @Owner Thank you for the fast feedback. According to the employee when I questioned the bill, it was not a mistaken booking, as there was apparently no children's portion on the menu and therefore the spaghetti with truffle had to be booked. Furthermore, your employee did not cry because of the question about the cost of a children's portion without any side dishes or sauce for €21.50, but because of the situation at the neighboring table, where a guest had to wait more than 2 hours for his food on his birthday despite having ordered in advance and therefore complained loudly. Unfortunately you weren't there at the time. As the owner of a restaurant, you should accept a guest's criticism and respond accordingly in the future.

On Easter Monday we were in this small, cute and cozy restaurant. The menu is easy to understand. Unfortunately, some dishes were already sold out for the holiday. Nevertheless, we both still found something to suit our taste buds. The food was prepared with love and tasted very good. The staff was very friendly.
