The dinner was really good – delicious and beautifully presented. The service was very friendly and attentive. I also found the ambiance really sweet and cozy. I felt completely at home and would gladly come back!

Service top, kitchen flop. The service was attentive and professional - unfortunately the kitchen couldn't keep up. Two dishes had to go back: dry lamb, inedible risotto. The remaining dishes were also disappointing - below average in terms of craftsmanship and taste, but with prices of around €30 for the main course, they were clearly excessive. The advertised French flair? None - even the baguette was more reminiscent of discounter baked goods. It's a shame about the potential.

Simply recommended! The atmosphere is incredibly inviting – warm, cozy and designed with great attention to detail. Coupled with the extremely nice and attentive staff, you feel welcome here from the first moment. The food is an absolute delight: fresh, tasteful and prepared with a lot of dedication. You immediately notice that quality and hospitality are very important here. I always enjoy coming here and can only recommend that everyone spend time here and be pampered.

I thought it was okay, the dishes looked very nice and the taste was also quite good. Would definitely recommend sitting in the main hall when making your reservation, as the tarte flambée room lacked atmosphere.

We were put in a room alone, with no music. That was pretty strange. The food was okay but not worth mentioning. The service was friendly.

Rarely eaten so insignificantly, there was always a lack of salt. After we waited 1.5 hours for the main course, the lamb was tough. The staff was very friendly but not very attentive, it was difficult to get drinks. To compensate for the long waiting time, a dessert was offered, but unfortunately we were not impressed. It was loud and stuffy in the dining room. We won't repeat this.

One night in Cologne and we were so happy to find this restaurant. Anna was a super friendly waitress who went out of her way to explain the dishes. Double checked to make sure dishes were safe for my allergy. We both had fish dishes and were delighted with the food and given it was a Monday evening we were surprised how busy it was. The atmosphere was lovely.

Service is completely overloaded on March 29th and you can hardly see it here in the separate room where we sit. Beverages empty for quite some time. Table was reserved for 7 p.m. - still waiting for the main course at 8:45 p.m. The surprise menu was already completely over at 7 p.m. The monkfish medallions for €30 became a single medallion with otherwise cheap side dishes and a relatively solid fish - price/performance inappropriate. Schnitzel only lukewarm. Veal cheeks were very good. Room very stuffy and loud. Our bill was generously discounted due to our dissatisfaction. Very fair. Overall it didn't meet expectations. Too bad.

We've been to the Belgischer Hof a few times now with colleagues/company, and we're truly more than satisfied. We highly recommend the lovely team, the food, and the overall atmosphere. The staff is uncomplicated and attentive. The value for money is absolutely spot on. See you next time :-)

Very nice restaurant with good wine accompaniment

Great restaurant, with rustic spartan decor! The service is a little hectic, but friendly, polite and on the ball! The menu is not overloaded and there is something for everyone! Really great in terms of taste and quality and great creations! Goat cheese and sea buckthorn brulee was great and the paprika schnitzel was great! I think it's admirable that you also offer non-alcoholic wines; Unfortunately, this is still too rare in the catering industry and shows that you are moving with the times!!!! If I'm in Cologne again, I'd love to come back!

The atmosphere is very appealing, beautifully decorated, totally cozy. The food is very tasty and varied, beautifully prepared, an experience for the taste buds and the soul. The staff is really friendly and attentive, you just feel comfortable here. We would be happy to come back any time 😍

Conclusion: mediocre The food is actually quite okay, but the atmosphere in the main room is unbearably loud - it's hard to think of relaxed enjoyment. What's particularly annoying is that with a well-thought-out sound concept, the volume could be reduced significantly without much effort. But the biggest faux pas: the bread. A restaurant that goes for fancy actually serves the cheapest discounter baked baguette? This raises doubts about the basics and leaves a bad aftertaste. Too bad!

Last year I was able to photograph a wedding at the Belgischer Hof – and was absolutely thrilled with both the food and the ambience. The dishes are true little works of art, and the charming courtyard exudes a romantic atmosphere. A perfect location for weddings in a small, stylish setting!

Very nice shop that I happened to pass by. Actually everything was reserved, but the very friendly and professional waitresses reorganized a little and I got a table. You can easily go here alone. Delicious large tarte flambée and fine wine. Only the salad was a bit awkward to eat in the small bowl because the leaves weren't cut very small. Still delicious 😋

I was in the restaurant as part of a celebration. There were several corridors. First of all, the main course: veal roast beef was very tasty along with the side dishes. The main course can be given 5 stars. Then let's go to the starter: I chose a gratinated tofu to try. This was disappointing, as other guests in the company who often eat tofu confirmed to me. The tofu itself was unseasoned and gratinated with cheese. So you only tasted the cheese. You could have safely left out the tofu chunk underneath. Then for dessert. White mousse with grilled pineapple. The mousse was ok, but all guests who had this dessert had the entire core still in the pineapple, i.e. the middle of the pineapple was rock hard. You could see it on the plates; for more than half of the guests, the pineapple almost completely disappeared after they had managed to remove at least a piece of the stem. This shouldn't happen at the prices you normally pay on the card. Regarding the food as a whole, you have to explain that you could choose between different starters, main courses and desserts. Almost all of the guests ate almost half of one of the courses, which was probably not due to the size of the portions. Otherwise positive: the ambience and the friendly waiters.

We held our Christmas party at the Belgischer Hof at the end of January: it was the perfect choice and exactly the right location! The Flammkuchen Hut was particularly suitable for our group of 25 people and the ambience was exactly the right mix between stylish and cozy. The service was super nice and very attentive - simply great! And of course very important: the food was really tasty and well prepared. It was a great evening and therefore from us: A very clear recommendation and would be happy to come again!

Selected as a place to sit together and eat well as part of an internal meeting. Location simple and yet appealingly positive. Very attentive and knowledgeable service with a very friendly and authentic manner. Few words needed to communicate. The starter and the beef cheeks are a dream at an absolutely fair price. Fresh and excellent preparation. A new favorite for the next private event. Hats off!

Nice restaurant. As an individual you will be treated with the same respect here as if you came in a group. This is no longer a given these days. My food was great. The menu is clear, but I had tarte flambée and it tasted delicious. At this point it should be said that all tarte flambée variations are vegetarian! In terms of price, it's already a good midfield. A glass of wine (0.15l) and the tarte flambée cost just under €25. Points deducted for the ambience. There was a lot going on and the volume level was 80db and more. That didn't really make it pleasant.

We celebrated our granddaughter's baptism in the Belgian courtyard. Everything was right from A to Z. I can only warmly recommend it!!!!

Nice district, away from everyday life in Cologne. Competent service, of course Belgian beer 🍺 on the menu, Leffe Brune, a good alternative for dark black beer lovers. Weinberg snails 🐌 are not to be despised as a starter, risotto or monkfish. We'll be back.

Great evening with great service! A really nice restaurant with a cozy atmosphere. A quality menu with a clear selection. What is written on it is done well! We had the appetizer platter for 3. There's a little something missing from the photo, but in my opinion it's a bit expensive at over €35. It was still delicious! The main course was excellent to the point. Super tasty components that were tasty in their own right. Young dynamic team. Clean toilets. The only negative point is that it was very crowded and you found yourself in a very loud room. You couldn't communicate normally across the table. Giving tips at the cash register has also become more difficult due to a confusing cash register system. Tips were in cash. Finally, compliments to our waiter. The young man gave us a reason to laugh with every course!

We went there for the first time today and decided on the menu. Good selection of food, large wine list. Modern atmosphere, nice staff. Unfortunately it was very loud today due to probably numerous Christmas parties.

Nice, friendly restaurant, with the inner courtyard, that's something completely different, so the ambience is right. The service was very attentive. The dishes are interesting, we can definitely recommend the mixed starters (for a reasonable €13.90 per person) you can share them and there is something for everyone. The sauerbraten was fine, nicely prepared, but the consistency was rather firm (definitely too firm for sauerbraten for me!), fish was great! In terms of prices, we are already on the higher side here, you start to think when a starter soup costs around 16 euros... And as a conclusion? It's a good place to go, but not our first choice for French cuisine!

A charming restaurant that is perfect for both small and larger occasions. The portions, especially for the starters, are generous. The dishes impress with their high quality and attractive presentation. The staff is friendly and always attentive. I can recommend everyone to visit this restaurant when visiting Cologne.

Our visit to the 'Brasserie' from the Belgian Court was a thoroughly successful evening. We each had the surprise menu (1x with meat and 1x vegetarian) and neither of us were disappointed. The food was really great. We were also served very well by the service - even with a little wine tasting to find the perfect wine for our taste. The ambience and mood in the restaurant is also very nice and lively. This was definitely not our last visit!

Really great! Was at an event in Cologne followed by dinner at the “Belgischer Hof”. A very cute location with (in my opinion) upscale food. The staff is very friendly, courteous and very attentive - just as you would imagine. Clear recommendation!

Pretty restaurant, delicious food, nicely presented - but in homeopathic doses! Lookup apparently not possible. Around half of the guests went home hungry after the 4-course menu. The room was rented until 11 p.m.; Last order was asked for drinks at 10:10 p.m. On the tables there were - among other things - bottles of water and wine. The staff never had the idea to ask if anything else was wanted.

Simply wonderful. Good food at reasonable prices, top service and a beautiful location, just be aware that it gets very loud (there's nothing you can do about that, but you might find it annoying if you wear hearing aids, etc.) I always like to come back.

As always, a pleasure. For many years we have been going to the “Hof” regularly as a couple or with various events/groups. The bustling atmosphere in the brasserie was again very nice. The great food and wine with great service made it a very nice evening again.

Wir hatten jeweils eine Vorspeise und ein Hauptgericht. Bei den Vorspeisen war es noch im „geht so“ Bereich. Zu kalt beides. Die Hauptgänge waren zwischen halb daneben und geht gar nicht. Bei meinem Gang war da alles zwischen versalzen und bitter an schleimigen Kartoffelpüree auf einem Teller. Der Umgang mit unserer Kritik war allerdings vorbildlich. Wir wurden ernst genommen! Der Service ist absolut freundlich, zugewandt und unprätentiös. Die Atmosphäre ist einfach sehr schön. Eine zweite Chance gibt’s jedenfalls - auch wenn die Preise recht ambitioniert sind.

Das Essen war leider nur durchschnittlich: Durchgebratener, trockener Fisch mit ebensolcher Polenta. Eine sehr überschaubare Menge gutes Ratatouille, leider mit reichlich Rosmarinblättern versetzt. Der Service war ok. Der Druck mehr zu verkaufen war offensichtlich. Kein Lokal, in das wir zurückkehren werden.

Unfortunately just okay. The food was lukewarm, some of the side dishes were even cold. The wine, in contrast, was warm. Two out of four starters were forgotten and not brought even when asked because the food had already arrived. And after a long wait, we received the dessert directly with the bill at around 10:40 p.m. It also came without the espresso we ordered. In general, the service left a lot to be desired, as there was no response to the information mentioned. It was very loud and warm in the restaurant itself. Since we waited a long time for the reservation and were looking forward to the evening, it was rather a disappointment.

I would love to give 10 stars if I could. I was so excited about the atmosphere, the service and the food 🤌🏼🚀 the food was incredible, really tasty, the portions were just right. “Unfortunately” the food was so good that we didn’t even manage to take a photo of it 🤣 Really - we have rarely been so enthusiastic and I would really recommend everyone to eat there 🙏🏼 There is really something for everyone: whether vegan, vegetarian or with meat. And they also responded very kindly to special requests ☺️

Wir besuchten das Restaurant Belgischer Hof und wählten eine Vorspeise und einen Hauptgang sowie eine Weinbegleitung. Leider war die Qualität der Produkte äußerst mangelhaft. Die Zutaten waren nicht frisch, sondern zeigten Anzeichen von Verderb. Die Lebensmittel hatten einen unangenehmen Geruch und waren teilweise kaum gegart, was sie unangenehm hart machte. Die Wurst war gräulich verfärbt, was ebenfalls auf mangelnde Frische hinwies. Das dazu gereichte Baguette war sehr trocken und von minderer Qualität. Der servierte Salat war kaum mit Dressing versehen, was ihn sehr trocken und schwer zu essen machte. Zudem wurden bittere Salatsorten verwendet, die den Geschmack weiter beeinträchtigten. Auch die Beilagen schmeckten fad und es fehlte an Gewürzen und frischen Zutaten. Wir konnten nicht einmal ein Drittel der servierten Speisen essen. Das Servicepersonal fragte uns weder nach Feedback noch bot es uns eine Alternative an. Für diese Erfahrung zahlten wir rund 100 Euro, was angesichts der gebotenen Qualität als völlig unangemessen empfunden wurde. Ich kann das Restaurant daher keinesfalls weiterempfehlen.

On my vacation in Cologne, the visit to the “Belgischer Hof” was one of the highlights. Great food (the menu changes monthly), attentive service and a really nice shop. Price performance for the quality is more than appropriate. I'm already looking forward to the next visit.

Este lugar era todo lo que esperábamos, y más! Nuestra camarera Anna era encantadora, tan atento y servicial y la comida era hermosa - saludos a Thomas, el chef. Tuvimos cañas de cordero y fueron las mejores que hemos probado. Postres y café eran excepcionales también. Este lugar es tan encantador, no sirve comidas típicas fritas y alemanas, es mágico y se siente muy comida de gama alta, pero no precios de gama alta, que es genial! Estás hecho para sentirte muy relajado aquí... ¡ve a visitarnos, definitivamente no te arrepentirás!

The Belgian Quarter in Cologne is already relatively well known. The restaurant was a discovery for me and is right in the middle. We sat on the wide sidewalk in front of the restaurant. My tip is the daily (fish) menu. I had monkfish medallions on sauerkraut and mashed potatoes. French style, of course. Plus the rosé house wine. Brilliant. No photos for reasons of discretion.

Overall the food was good, there was nothing to complain about. What is particularly worth mentioning is the ambience and the child-friendliness! The restaurant is located in a backyard or in several rooms, all of which are stylishly furnished. Above all, the green courtyard itself, where you can sit, is particularly impressive. The staff was very friendly overall, especially to our 9 month old son. We felt comfortable and would love to come back!

I had a business dinner in this restaurant. It was surprisingly busy for a Tuesday evening, which is a good sign. Location is very nice, it felt cosy even if busy. Service was friendly but not very present. Menu was very interesting but quite a few options were not available. At the end I had the asparagus tartlette which was nice and the kalbschitzel (perfectly cooked but a little on the small side considering the hefty price) with white asparagus and savoury waffle. Wine choice was good. All in all a very nice restaurant, crowd and atmosphere. Will be back to try other dishes when back in Köln.

We celebrated our wedding with 21 people in the Franz Bar and were absolutely thrilled - exactly the right decision. The food was very tasty, the service was attentive and unobtrusive. Since the Franz Bar is in the front area, even the children could run around without disturbing other guests in the rear dining rooms. We had a wonderfully relaxed and all-round successful evening and are happy to come back again and again for various occasions.

This fine dining restaurant boasts beautiful interiors, creating an elegant atmosphere. While the menu wasn't extensive, the food was enjoyable. Despite the polite waiting staff, the service was a bit disorganized. Nonetheless, the ambiance was pleasant.

Really nice little place......food and service as well as the ambience

The food was delicious, but also relatively expensive. Unfortunately the service was a disaster. Very inattentive. A man who was sitting on the platform, which was far too narrow and dangerous, had his chair collapse under his butt and he flew down the platform. Unfortunately, none of the employees appeared to help the man up, let alone bring a new chair. He got a new chair from a guest who was sitting a few tables away. Unfortunately we won't be coming back.

The food is super delicious. Prices okay. The location is very nice, but unfortunately very noisy when fully occupied.

The fact that the restaurant is divided into several rooms that are connected "across the courtyard" alone makes it special. The monthly changing menu presented me with challenges because I can't, can't and don't want to eat everything, but I managed to deal with it really well - thank you very much!

When I'm in Cologne, the Belgischer Hof is a permanent fixture. Exquisite dishes from Alsatian cuisine and, in the right season, you can't help but try the dishes with white asparagus!

We were there at Easter. Actually we liked everything. If the menu says braised lamb shank then it shouldn't come suvid and fried in a pan. The result was simply too dry. A pity. Otherwise ok.

We had reserved a table. We were placed in the Franzbar. Unfortunately the room was very stuffy and very warm. Windows couldn't be opened for ventilation. We also had to wait 45 minutes for our drinks, even for a Friday evening the waiting time was far too long. Unfortunately, the service was completely overwhelmed. The taste of the food was ok.

After our small civil wedding, we spent an unforgettable evening at the Belgischer Hof. The exclusive Chefs Table offered us a separate and beautiful space where we enjoyed a fantastic meal. The service was excellent and made our evening perfect. Everyone was happy and content and we couldn't have imagined a better place for our wedding evening. Great location and great food! Not only do you get excellent service here, you also get great tasting dishes in a very nice location. Only the knives should definitely be replaced with sharp/steak knives. (Having to cut meat with a butter knife was an imposition) CONCLUSION: We'll be back!
