Incredibly beautiful ambience and fantastic service. Great food.. We'll be back

Unfortunately just okay. The food was lukewarm, some of the side dishes were even cold. The wine, in contrast, was warm. Two out of four starters were forgotten and not brought even when asked because the food had already arrived. And after a long wait, we received the dessert directly with the bill at around 10:40 p.m. It also came without the espresso we ordered. In general, the service left a lot to be desired, as there was no response to the information mentioned. It was very loud and warm in the restaurant itself. Since we waited a long time for the reservation and were looking forward to the evening, it was rather a disappointment.

I would love to give 10 stars if I could. I was so excited about the atmosphere, the service and the food 🤌🏼🚀 the food was incredible, really tasty, the portions were just right. “Unfortunately” the food was so good that we didn’t even manage to take a photo of it 🤣 Really - we have rarely been so enthusiastic and I would really recommend everyone to eat there 🙏🏼 There is really something for everyone: whether vegan, vegetarian or with meat. And they also responded very kindly to special requests ☺️

On my vacation in Cologne, the visit to the “Belgischer Hof” was one of the highlights. Great food (the menu changes monthly), attentive service and a really nice shop. Price performance for the quality is more than appropriate. I'm already looking forward to the next visit.

The Belgian Quarter in Cologne is already relatively well known. The restaurant was a discovery for me and is right in the middle. We sat on the wide sidewalk in front of the restaurant. My tip is the daily (fish) menu. I had monkfish medallions on sauerkraut and mashed potatoes. French style, of course. Plus the rosé house wine. Brilliant. No photos for reasons of discretion.

Overall the food was good, there was nothing to complain about. What is particularly worth mentioning is the ambience and the child-friendliness! The restaurant is located in a backyard or in several rooms, all of which are stylishly furnished. Above all, the green courtyard itself, where you can sit, is particularly impressive. The staff was very friendly overall, especially to our 9 month old son. We felt comfortable and would love to come back!

I had a business dinner in this restaurant. It was surprisingly busy for a Tuesday evening, which is a good sign. Location is very nice, it felt cosy even if busy. Service was friendly but not very present. Menu was very interesting but quite a few options were not available. At the end I had the asparagus tartlette which was nice and the kalbschitzel (perfectly cooked but a little on the small side considering the hefty price) with white asparagus and savoury waffle. Wine choice was good. All in all a very nice restaurant, crowd and atmosphere. Will be back to try other dishes when back in Köln.

A little more expensive, but tasty.

We celebrated our wedding with 21 people in the Franz Bar and were absolutely thrilled - exactly the right decision. The food was very tasty, the service was attentive and unobtrusive. Since the Franz Bar is in the front area, even the children could run around without disturbing other guests in the rear dining rooms. We had a wonderfully relaxed and all-round successful evening and are happy to come back again and again for various occasions.

As always, a pleasure. For many years we have been going to the “Hof” regularly as a couple or with various events/groups. The bustling atmosphere in the brasserie was again very nice. The great food and wine with great service made it a very nice evening again.

This fine dining restaurant boasts beautiful interiors, creating an elegant atmosphere. While the menu wasn't extensive, the food was enjoyable. Despite the polite waiting staff, the service was a bit disorganized. Nonetheless, the ambiance was pleasant.

The food was delicious, but also relatively expensive. Unfortunately the service was a disaster. Very inattentive. A man who was sitting on the platform, which was far too narrow and dangerous, had his chair collapse under his butt and he flew down the platform. Unfortunately, none of the employees appeared to help the man up, let alone bring a new chair. He got a new chair from a guest who was sitting a few tables away. Unfortunately we won't be coming back.

The food is super delicious. Prices okay. The location is very nice, but unfortunately very noisy when fully occupied.

The fact that the restaurant is divided into several rooms that are connected "across the courtyard" alone makes it special. The monthly changing menu presented me with challenges because I can't, can't and don't want to eat everything, but I managed to deal with it really well - thank you very much!

When I'm in Cologne, the Belgischer Hof is a permanent fixture. Exquisite dishes from Alsatian cuisine and, in the right season, you can't help but try the dishes with white asparagus!

We were there at Easter. Actually we liked everything. If the menu says braised lamb shank then it shouldn't come suvid and fried in a pan. The result was simply too dry. A pity. Otherwise ok.

The food is very tasty but the portions are very small.

We had reserved a table. We were placed in the Franzbar. Unfortunately the room was very stuffy and very warm. Windows couldn't be opened for ventilation. We also had to wait 45 minutes for our drinks, even for a Friday evening the waiting time was far too long. Unfortunately, the service was completely overwhelmed. The taste of the food was ok.

Great location and great food! Not only do you get excellent service here, you also get great tasting dishes in a very nice location. Only the knives should definitely be replaced with sharp/steak knives. (Having to cut meat with a butter knife was an imposition) CONCLUSION: We'll be back!

Wunderbare Räume in unterschiedlichen Stilen. Wir waren in einer kleineren Gruppe und hatten einen eigenen Raum. Das Essen war ein voller Erfolg & wir haben uns sehr wohlgefühlt - gerne werden wir wiederkommen

A hidden gem! Incredible restaurant! Sleek, modern, well decorated, very clean! Minimal interior make it feel simple and it's anything but simple. The menu is very limited and is likely dictated by available ingredients to ensure freshness. The food is very well prepared, seasoned, and presented. Portion sizes were appropriate. The staff is incredible friendly and attentive. The staff does a great job in communication product availability and options due the limited menu. Meats, fish, and veggies options are available. Plenty of drinks on hand. Cocktails, wines, soft drinks, and alcohol free options as well. The restaurant was busy through my time there and was a bit loud at times which made conversations a little difficult - nothing to ruin an experience though. You could say it added to the ambiance. I would absolutely recommend going there for an experience in great dining.

Ein sehr schöner Abend in ansprechendem Ambiente. Man wird gut vom Service versorgt und bekommt die Speisen schön präsentiert an den Tisch gebracht. Auch der Blick auf die Küche wärend des Aufenthalts am Chefstable war sehr angenehm.

Also, es ist jetzt genau eine Woche her, dass wir im Belgischen Hof waren. Wir waren am 08.12. nach unserer standesamtlichen Trauung dort um den Tag auch auf kulinarische Art und Weise zu zelebrieren und was soll ich sagen, wir waren rundum mehr als zufrieden. Zu keinem Zeitpunkt haben wir es bereut, diese Location ausgewählt zu haben. Der Service war perfekt, das Essen, welches sehr schön angerichtet gewesen ist, der Hammer und die Brasserie war ideal für diesen besonderen Anlass, rustikal aber elegant/süß. Ein großes Dankeschön an der Stelle auch an die Mitarbeiterin, die sich um uns gekümmert hat, dessen Namen wir aber leider vergessen haben. Eindrucksvolles Restaurant mit raffinierter Französischer Fine Dining Küche. Wir waren hellauf begeistert, vom Service bis hin zur Teller/Anrichte Sprache in diesem Hause. Jeder servierte Gang war stimmig vom Konzept, bis hin zu den Geschmacks Komponenten, der Chefkoch hat all sein Können und die Raffinesse der vielfältigen Französischen Küche in seine Gänge/Gerichte reingepackt. Positives: +Tolles Ambiente +Schön Versteckt in einer Seitengasse, sehr authentisch Französischer Flair (ruhig und entspannt) +Elegante Tellersprache +Sehr Fein schmeckende Küche +Aufmerksamer Service +Tolle Weinauswahl +Raffiniert abgeschmeckte Speisen Negatives -Keine Parkplatzmöglichkeiten (Tipp Parkhaus, befindet sich jedoch gute 10min. zu Fuß entfernt, also einplanen) -schwer kurzfristig und Spontan Reservierungen für einen Tisch zu bekommen Wichtig, nur per vorherige Reservierungen möglich und das solltet Ihr natürlich Wochen davor schon getätigt haben, dass ist denke doch Verständlich. Jedoch wollte ich es mal erwähnt haben. Im Großen und ganzen hatten wir einen tollen unvergesslichen Abend, der wiederholungsbedürftig ist. Auf ein baldiges kulinarisches wiedersehen.

Das Entrecôte war leider nicht so meine Welt. Es was trocken und zäh. Ansonsten war das Essen lecker und der Service gut.

Wir waren zu viert hier und können das Essen nur als sehr gut bewerten. Sowohl, was die vegetarische Variante (Spitzpaprika-Schnitzel) als auch die carnivoren Varianten betrifft (Duett von der Ente, Entrecôte, Ragout von der Lammhaxe). Nachtische (Schokokuchen, Creme brulée und Himbeerpudding) ebenfalls prima. Der Vierertisch war nur etwas klein und mit Gläsern und Tellern dann arg überfüllt.

Wir waren dort Gast einer Hochzeit. Es war sehr lecker und wir hatten einen sehr aufmerksamen Kellner der uns jeden Wunsch von den Augen abgelesen hat. Vielen Dank für die schönen Stunden.

Wunderbarer Abend mit kleinen Schwächen in schönem Ambiente. Nicht alles lief. Die Tafel mit den Tages-Specials wurde uns nicht gezeigt, die vier Teller kamen nicht parallel, bei Weinwechsel wurde noch leicht gefülltes Glas mit anderem Wein genutzt, Beilagen waren schon kalt, standen offenbar zu lange auf nicht gewärmten Teller. Das nahm aber nicht das Vergnügen am gelungenen Besuch. Sehr freundlicher Service, Vorspeisen Ensemble großzügig und wohlschmeckend, Weinauswahl gut und mit fairen Preisen, Hauptspeisen lecker. Insgesamt sehr empfehlenswert!

Leider geschlossene Gesellschaft, als wir vor Ort angekommen sind. Das hätte man zumindest mal online angeben können.

Sehr gutes Restaurant. Das Essen war bei allen sehr lecker. Die Vorspeisenplatte für 2 ist zu empfehlen. Kellner Leo bekommt extra ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ für seine freundliche und zuvorkommende Art.

Außerordentlich leckeres Essen verbunden mit durchweg sehr freundlichen Bedienungen. Kann man kaum besser machen. Jederzeit wieder.

Das Essen ist ganz gut, was mich sehr stört ist die extreme Lautstärke. Man versteht kaum ein Wort, da es sich anfühlt wie in einer Kantine/ Mensa als ein Restaurant, weil jedes Zentimeter mit Tischen und Stühlen vollgepackt ist. Daher wirkt es extrem Laut und eng beim Gehen oder für die Kellner. Es täte ganz gut wenn mindestens 2 Tische und mehr entfernt werden würden.

Meinem Bruder und mir hat es sehr gut gefallen. Leider war das Überraschungsmenü aus. Ich hatte stattdessen dann eine vegetarische Vorspeise und das vegetarische Hauptgericht. Mein Bruder hatte Reh. War alles sehr gut zubereitet und schön auf dem Teller. Gute Weinkarte. Auch das Preis Leistungsverhältnis stimmt. Danke. Unbedingt reservieren.

Ich habe hier mit meiner zukünftigen die Verlobung gefeiert. Meine Erwartungen wurden mehr als übertroffen!!! Das Lokal hat ein wunderbar entspanntes, hochwertiges Ambiente und der Service scheint gut gelaunt und mit dem ganzen Herzen bei der Arbeit zu sein. Das Essen war einsame spitze. Wir hatten gefüllte Perlhuhnbrust und schwarzen Heilbutt. Die Perlhuhnbrust war mit Knochen (also höchste Qualität) und butter zart. Der Fisch war knusprig gebraten und super saftig. Wir haben für eine tolle Flasche Wein, eine Flasche sprudelwasser, zwei absolute TOP Hauptspeisen und ein großartiges Dessert, glatt 108€ bezahlt. Das ist ein absoluter hammerpreis wenn man die Güte der Speisen und des Ambientes bedenkt. Vielen lieben Dank an das Team für diesen in vielerlei Hinblick unvergesslichen Abend.

Schönes Restaurant mit toller, abwechslungsreicher Küche. Wir waren das erste Mal als Paar für einen besonderen Anlass dort. Die Gerichte waren wirklich gut. Von der franz. Vorspeisenplatte für zwei waren wir etwas enttäuscht. Hat zwar alles super geschmeckt, aber für den Preis haben wir uns etwas mehr französische (!) Vorspeisen gewünscht - Käse oder Wurst. Das Baguette dazu war wirklich überraschend schlecht. So lieblos wie eins vom Aldi/Lidl. Hauptspeisen aber wirklich fantastisch. Warme Teller, super angerichtet - Kalbsentrecote war auf den Punkt medium rare. Ambiente sehr schön, aber vielfältig. Ein Raum war etwas schlichter eingerichtet - die zwei weiter hinten deutlich hochwertiger. Preislich ok.

Total coole Location, Speisekarte klein aber fein, leider gab es das vegetarische Überraschungsmenü an dem Tag nicht...

Schönes lokal in dem man sowohl draußen als auch drinnen sitzen kann. Das lokal war schön eingerichtet und das ambiente hat gepasst. Das personal war super nett und hat uns überhaupt nicht warten lassen. Es gab Erklärungen zur Speisekarte die hilfreich waren. Das Mittagsmenü beinhaltete eine Suppe, ein Hauptgericht und zum abschluss einen Espresso oder einen nachtisch. Das essen war sehr lecker und die wartezeiten zwischen den Gängen war sehr gering. Ich kann das Restaurant auf jeden Fall weiter empfehlen

Not bad, no English on the menu which made it a bit hard to understand and the waiting staff were just o.k at help.. Google to the rescue, never really had this issue with all my travels across the EU.. Food was nice but not amazing where I'd be rushing back..

Bester Flammkuchen in der Stadt, auch die Vorspeisenplatte eine Empfehlung

Sehr schöner Laden, der an ein kleines französisches Restaurant erinnert. Toller Innenhofe und kleine Räume mit Flair. Wir hatten eine gemischte Vorspeisen Platte, die tolle Salate und Belgische (Wurst) Spezialitäten enthielt. Die Hauptgerichte waren geschmacklich und qualitativ sehr gut und hochwertig. Auch die Portionsgröße war angemessen. Leider war unsere Kellnerin (wahrscheinlich) recht neu in dem Laden. Die Gerichte wurden verwechselt und wir mussten beim Öffnen der Weinflasche helfen, was für einen Laden mit gehobener Küche nicht ganz passt. Sehr nett war sie aber. Wir kommen gerne wieder. Karten- und Barzahlung möglich

J’aimerais bien donner plus mais ce n’est clairement pas possible. Le cadre du restaurant est vraiment joli. La nourriture est bonne également sans pour autant être exceptionnelle. Je n’ai pas vraiment retrouvé l’inspiration française dans les plats. Mis à part peut être les flammkuche. Du coup, le rapport qualité/prix en fonction quantité dans les assiettes n’est pas très bon. Maintenant, je ne sais pas si c’était exceptionnel ou pas. Le restaurant était bondé à 19h30 (mercredi soir). Du coup nous étions entassé les uns sur les autres. Pas facile de passer entre les tables pour aller aux WCs par exemple. De plus il faisait vraiment chaud dans la salle et c’était extrêmement bruyant. Impossible de parler Correctement à la personne en face de la table et limite crier au serveur sa commande. D’ailleurs une boisson du coup n’était pas correct et j’ai du lui dire 2 fois ma commande. Maintenant concernant le service, J’ai vu plein de serveurs partout mais principalement un seul pour la grande salle. Du coup ils avaient l’air un peu tous débordés. De plus, il a fallu attendre encore et encore… arrivé à 19h30 les plats principaux sont arrivés après 21h30 avec plus de 1h d’attente entre l’entrée et le plat principal. Du coup au vu de l’heure tardive et le temps d’attente, nous avons préféré trouver un autre endroit pour le dessert. C’est dommage car ce repas qui se voulait un peu plus haut de gamme, charmant afin de profiter sereinement de la soirée n’a clairement pas été à la hauteur. Je ne déconseille pas ce restaurant mais si vous voulez goûter les plats, arrivez tôt et armez vous de patience.

Ich habe auf Grund einer Empfehlung einen Tisch im Voraus reserviert und mich auf Grund der Bilder sehr auf den Abend gefreut. Nur zu gerne würde ich dieser schönen Location fünf Sterne geben. Doch schon bei der Ankunft wurde ich vom Lärm erschlagen. Man konnte kaum normal miteinander reden und musste den Kellner regelrecht anschreien um die Bestellung aufzugeben. Das Restaurant war an einem Mittwoch Abend komplett überfüllt (mehr Tische als auf den Bildern) und die Kellner waren heillos überfordert. So mussten wir über eine Stunde auf unser Essen warten, welches zwar geschmeckt hat, aber jetzt auch nicht außergewöhnlich war. Schade. Wer trotzdem hingehen möchte, empfehle ich unbedingt einen Tisch draussen zu reservieren und je nachdem viel Geduld mitzubringen.

Wir hatten einfach einen rundum perfekten Abend. Die Location ist super schön eingerichtet und insbesondere mit den einzelnen Räumen, abgehend vom liebevoll gestaltetenden Innenhof, ist es sehr entspannt -es kommen Urlaubsgefühle auf. Ein super netter und zuvorkommender Service mit guter Beratung und ein tolles Essen. Sehr schön angerichtete Teller, sehr gute Qualität und kein übermäßiger Schnickschnack. Danke für den schönen Abend - wir kommen sehr gerne wieder.

Wir waren am montag gegen 20 Uhr spontan im belgischen Hof und waren begeistert! Was ein Ambiente im Innenhof, viel Grün und tolle Möbel! Der Service, aufmerksam, freundlich und man sieht das die Jungs und Mädels Freude am Job haben (ach und super coole weinkarten - gerne noch ein paar moselweine drauf - dann perfekt!) Die Küche, eine tolle kleine brasserie Karte, sehr bedacht und toll verarbeitet. Es wird auf regionalität geachtet und frische! - Im ganzen denke ich es ist eine unglaubliche Lokalität um einfach ein paar Stunden dem stadtstress zu entkommen ebenso der perfekte Ort für Hochzeiten und Familienfeiern! Gerne wieder!

The server was very friendly, and the restaurant has a beautiful setting. However, the food was overpriced, under-proportioned, and not all of it tasty. The shrimp appetizer was tasty but a rip-off with just three or four shrimps for over 20 euros. The main courses were also overpriced. Two fish dishes were good, but the vegetarian dish was incoherent and unpleasant and tasted like airplane food. We were ignored when we complained about the dish. Overall, a pretentious and disappointing experience.

Es hat uns ganz großartig geschmeckt. Schöne innovative Küche zu einem guten Preis Leistungsverhältnis. Sehr gemütliches Ambiente, etwas laut wenn der Raum voll ist. Das Cordon bleu war spitze 🤩 Auf jeden Fall einen Besuch wert. 👍🏻

Leider war das Essen ziemlich faht. An Stelle von einem Suffle, hatte man das Gefühl in ein Stück Trocken Kuchen zu beißen ;( Es war schon sehr laut und die Bedienung schaute selten, ob eine Bestellung ansteht.
