I think the prices are a bit overpriced. 20€ (for 5) pieces cevapcici

We ate at the food truck, the fries were a disgrace, not fully fried, half raw, I was surprised why no one was queuing, the cevapcici were good, but the price of €14 per portion (4 cevapcici + fries) is far too high. There was no pressure from a snake or anything like that that could be justified in any way.

Full marks. Unfortunately, nothing more was possible. Well, I haven't had such good Balkan cuisine for a long time. It was worth every penny. Keep it up. Sve je bilo odlicno. Hvala jos jednom

The grilled skewers with various meats were a true delight. The flavor was excellent and the preparation perfect. The service was also attentive and friendly. We were impressed by the value for money. We would be happy to return to try more specialties.

The two of us ate there based on a recommendation. We were ignored and poorly served. And in the end we have for 10 pieces of cevapcici with fries and salad and a normal 5 piece cevapcici, a cola and Paid €43 for an iced tea (we were too nice & tipped €2, so €45 in total). impertinence. Really great! I can only recommend everyone to have something to eat here. Starting with the super delicious pasta with scampi in a sauce, which makes me hungry again when I think about it, to the in-house cevape in Kaymak, simply terrific 🤤 Price-performance ratio was great, we were more than full with the main course and drink for two people for €35. It was our first time there, but definitely not the last time! 🥰

And this one star is too much for you, considering that I had to pay for kebabs that I couldn't eat because there was dog hair in the kebab... It's sad that something like that exists in a "restaurant".

My visit to the Balcanico restaurant at Oberhausen Sterkrade main station was an absolute highlight. I've been there twice at lunchtime and loved it each time. The restaurant offers an interesting mix of Bosnian, Serbian and German cuisine, with burgers also on the menu. The service, which is personally provided by the owner, was particularly impressive. He radiates a calm and friendliness that makes the visit particularly pleasant. The atmosphere at Balcanico is very welcoming and cozy. The value for money is unbeatable, especially when you consider the quality of the food. An absolute highlight were the peppers, which were fried in olive oil and served in a kajmak broth. There was also freshly baked bread that tasted simply heavenly. The sarma from Serbian cuisine were also excellent. However, everything was topped by the cevapi, which was truly a culinary delight. Particularly noteworthy is the kids menu, which the little guests really enjoyed. The selection was child-friendly and impressed both in terms of taste and appearance. An authentic trip to the Balkans is definitely worth it! The variety and quality of the dishes offer a wonderful culinary experience that should not be missed. Overall, I can recommend Balcanico to anyone looking for authentic cuisine and a relaxed dining experience. I'm already looking forward to my next visit!

Service is top. Ambience is nice. Unfortunately, the food you go to the restaurant for is bad. The starter was just fried dough and cream cheese. Cevapcici were the typical ones from the discount store. Bread was also a manufactured product. Dessert was warmed pancakes from the bag, with far too little Nutella.

We had a Groupon voucher and apparently Groupon guests are not very welcome even though they offer it. Well, before we wanted to go to the table we were told that they don't actually offer vouchers anymore etc. Although ours is still valid, we were allowed to go to the place we wanted Don't sit down because it's supposed to be full and everything that wasn't was and was placed right at the entrance. Eating poor food, all finished products, some well-known products from well-known food discounters. Only the service is good.

It was disappointing because the chairs were very uncomfortable and you sat way too low to the table. It was also very cold in the restaurant, which meant it wasn't comfortable to linger for a long time. Unfortunately the food wasn't amazing either, maybe the choice of steak wasn't the right one. We will not visit this restaurant again.

I haven't eaten as well as at Balcanico in a long time. The food came very quickly and was super tasty. Very tender chicken schnitzel with fresh mushrooms in a delicious, creamy cream sauce. There were also crispy fries that were nice and soft on the inside. The service was very, very friendly and always there quickly. We will definitely go here again!!

Wir waren 2023 zu Weihnachten zum Essen dort als wir noch obdachlos waren. Die Solidarität in Mülheim und Balcanico luden obdschlose und bedürftige ein. Man hat sich nach einem Jahr noch an uns erinnert, weil wir mit katzen im zelt schliefen. Es ist dort wirklich sehr familiär und das Essen ist sehr lecker. Menschlich gesehen sehr groß. Sie lassen niemanden hungern. Wir sind sehr dankbar, dass es so wunderbare Menschen gibt, die auch an die Menschen denken, denen es nicht so gut geht. Vielen lieben Dank für beide unvergessliche Tage und gerne kommen wir auch 2025 wieder. 🥰😍🥰

A cozy atmosphere invites you to linger. You literally enjoy the Balkan flair. The Bosnian music in the background completes the whole thing. The food is very tasty, if you like typical Balkan cuisine, this is the place for you. When the weather is nice, you can sit in the cozy outdoor area. The service was very friendly, nice welcome and good advice when choosing the food. We highly recommend this restaurant and look forward to our next dinner at Balcanico Oberhausen.

Very tasty food and courteous service

We wanted to grab a bite to eat on a Sunday. The weather was perfect for sitting outside. The children wanted to play a game in the red helicopter. Unfortunately this didn't work. When a waiter finally came after 15 minutes, we pointed it out to him... But all he said was "how should I know, no one drove today?" He slammed “a card” on the table and went in. There were four of us!!!! I've really never experienced anything like that. We were probably disturbing... that was the impression we had. After another 5 minutes we left... without eating :( If I could, I would give 0 stars. Maybe rethink the staff?!

We stumbled upon the place by pure accident, but the food was great, the service was fun, attentive and professional and the atmosphere was great. If we ever go by again, I will definitely stop by for another meal, because the menu is incredibly rich and there's always more to explore. It also seems like a wonderful place for events, as the service is incredibly friendly and and enriches the entire experience.

The food and ambience are very good and typically Bosnian. Everything actually fit and was very good. Unfortunately, the service was very rude to our group, which is not at all consistent with Bosnian hospitality. It's actually a shame. I probably won't go back, even though everything else was fine. In my opinion, at least the food, ambience and service have to be good!

The ambience of the restaurant is authentically traditional and Bosnian. It not only conveys a classic Bosnian impression visually, but also acoustically and taste-wise. Balkan music plays continuously in the background. The central location of the restaurant is advantageous as there is a large parking lot directly opposite. When the weather is nice in spring and summer, you can also dine outdoors. The food is extremely tasty and freshly prepared. As soon as the dishes are served, the appetizing sight is tempting. Prices are reasonable and offer good value for money.

My husband and I wanted to eat there after we were neither greeted nor given a seat, but were simply told with a grimace, “What do you want?” We immediately turned around and went back out. Today we wanted to try it again but my feeling wasn't wrong. We went in, of course no hello or anything, we were asked again in such an unfriendly tone what we wanted because we wanted to take away. We then asked if we could see the card and they just said, “You have to get it down there on the table.” Then we went straight back out. I don't go to a restaurant where I have to get everything myself, whether it's a menu or a table, and I'm treated in such an unfriendly voice and disrespectful manner. When I go there, I want to be treated like a customer and not like trash. I think the boss is such an unfriendly person, if they don't know how to deal with customers then they should find out more about it or do some training. And if I open a shop where only families are celebrating and there shouldn't be any customers according to the mood, then I won't open a restaurant like that. Either you treat everyone the same in a restaurant or you should just leave it altogether. NEVER AGAIN!

As a customer you are treated like a dog, you have to get the card yourself and you have to come to order yourself, unfriendly from the start. I had been there before but was treated like a dog again, the last time I was there. Tried there twice but failed again. The waiter is so not guest friendly. What didn't work at all was the waitress...pretty unfriendly...no smile or nice word... I tried to order her to the table to say that I needed salt..she just left..when I followed her and she came to meet me, there was no response to my request for salt..but a colleague...who was very was nice... Then I waved to her to pay...I had to do that twice because of her ignorance...we paid to the gentleman...who was nice... The food was really good...my husband said...you can't go wrong with my salad...

Fabulous! Simple and honest cuisine that prepares food with fresh ingredients and very reasonable prices in a nice atmosphere. The landlord gave us very good advice. The cevapcici were delicious and juicy, the side salad dressed with your choice of dressing and served with bread hot from the oven. The only drawback: no EC payment possible, but if the prices can be calculated cheaper, then I'm always happy to pay in cash.

We went to Balcanico for the first time today, the 150km we drove were totally worth it, the food was a 10+, the cevapcici was the best we've eaten in the last two years, even back home you can't get this wonderful taste anymore. We had 5 different dishes 10 cevapcici in bread, cevapcici in kajmak which was the highlight, pljeskavica with fries, steak with fries and chicken schnitzel. We were most looking forward to the cevapcici, which was also very, very tasty, so after the meal and the Bosnian café we ordered two more portions 🙈 The atmosphere is very, very cozy and beautiful, a piece of home that we all miss. The staff (the waiter) are very nice and reliable, they really do their best to ensure that everyone is happy and served on time. The nicest thing was where they handed out sweets to our children and had so much fun with our 10 year old son that our son asked us next time we go there the basement has become his friend ☺️ Guys keep it up, you have great work and great quality. It's just a shame that you didn't have Ustipci today 😅 Ps: to the people who complained about the supposedly longer waiting time, really how long do you wait at other restaurants when they are busy on the weekend (Sunday lunchtime)? Definitely not 30 minutes. We ourselves waited around 45 minutes for the food, which is perfectly fine in a restaurant where around 11 tables were still occupied. Today I ate the worst goulash of my life. Instead of peppers on the menu, there were carrots. The standards for a goulash were far from being met. The mashed potatoes had no nutmeg and the meat was completely overcooked. A little mustard in the sauce would have helped. But the waitress said 80 percent of the guests had a mustard allergy. 80 percent of Germans eat bratwurst with mustard. The host loses every discussion with the guest. Oh then, 9 euros 50 plus 4 euros for the beer is 14.50 euros. A clear 6 in math and cooking. Then I paid 15 euros. Out of pity... We visited the fair in the district and then went to eat at Balcanico. The atmosphere is nice and decorated according to the Bosnian homeland. The waitress was friendly. We liked the food. I ordered the cevapcici with fried potatoes. Not classic but tasty. Unfortunately you could only pay in cash on site! Otherwise we were satisfied with the visit.

We ate there for the first time today, two adults and three children! We were very happy with the staff and especially with the food. We ate seven meals, had coke three times and a large bottle of mineral water. I was in this store three days in a row. The food is ok, but way too expensive compared to the quality. This means it is tasty but not over the top compared to a very high price. There are two small dogs running around in the seating area and kitchen, which I didn't like due to food hygiene reasons. The staff is rude and acts like we have known each other our whole lives. The waitress practically shouted the first time that I couldn't sit in a certain section because it was reserved, even though I was waiting to be seated and hadn't even entered the section yet. On the first day I had a large portion of cevapcici, 10 pieces in Lepinja, which cost €11.90. The meat was good and tasty but a bit raw and lepinja was nice and crispy. I also had a Turkish coffee that cost €5 one day and €6 the next. A drastic nightly price increase that was not corrected in the menu. All in all, I gave this store three chances and was disappointed each time. I wouldn't recommend it unless you really have no other choice. The staff does not issue a receipt.

Waren mit sechs Personen gestern zum Abendessen im balkanico. Das Essen war sehr lecker und der Kellner war auch sehr höflich. Der Grillteller war einfach Spitze. Allgemein das Ambiente war sehr einladend und warm. Kommen auf jeden Fall wieder.

Meso cim se malo ohladilo postalo je žilavo.Narucena je porcija punjene snicle sa pomesom a dobili smo sa rizom.Izmedu ostalih porcija narucene su i tri porcije 10 desetke cevapa a dobili tri smo tri porcije 15 petnaestke i naravno naplacene su tako.Jednostavno previse gresaka da bi covjek pomislio da se nismo razumili pri naruđbi. Salata imala zbilja previše octa. Ocigledno se rjesavate stare riže a i cilj vam je prodati skuplje porcije cevapa od onih narucenih.I na kraju moguce samo gotovinom platiti...neobicno za jedan restoran.Za pohvalu je lokacija i blizina parkinga.

Auf Anfragen bei Facebook wird nicht reagiert, am Telefon meldet man sich mit "Hallo", für den Mojito war keine Minze da, für mein Bombica gab es außer Ajvar keine Soße. Die Beilagen wurden vertauscht. Das Fleisch war leider außen Gummi, innen roh. Und dann wollte man uns nach dem ersten Getränk nicht mehr bedienen (20:30Uhr). Die Vorspeise wurde auf der Rechnung geteilt, ohne das vorher mit uns abzusprechen... Das Ambiente ist echt nett, aber ob es im Sinne der Brandschutzverordnung ist, im Innenraum mit einem Gasheizpilz zu heizen, halte ich für fraglich.

Das Essen und der Service waren leider nicht so gut. Nur Barzahlungen…

Der Salat und der Service waren super allerdings ist das Rumpsteak nicht zu empfehlen das Rumpsteak war unglaublich durch und hat schon fast wie Leber geschmeckt .. die civapcici von meinem Mann waren aber ganz gut daher 2 Sterne für das Essen .

Mehrfach dort gegessen, es war immer sehr Gut. Service ebenfalls Hervorragend.

Sehr gute und leckere Gerichte. Die Cevapcici kann ich nur empfehlen. Ich habe längere Zeit in diesem Umkreis keine bessere gegessen.Sehr nette und freundliche Bedienung nur musste man manchmal länger warten. Die Preise sind In Ordnung. Das einzige was mich gestört hat, ist das man nicht mehr Karte zahlen kann. Ansonsten,kann ich nur weiterempfehlen 👍

Es war alles in Ordnung. Nur 2023 nicht mit der Karte zahlen zu können war echt ein Manko. Essen war aber lecker.

Super restoran , ambijent super puno mjesta.

Ich hatte dem Restaurant zuerst 3 Sterne gegeben, doch nachdem ich nochmal da war kann ich die Anzahl nur erhöhen. Bei den damaligen Umständen gab es zurzeit keine Pommes, was natürlich Schade war. Ich war vor kurzem wieder da und alles war super! Das Essen ist sehr lecker und es gibt eine gute Auswahl für jeden (auch Vegetarier!). Allen hat es sehr gut geschmeckt und ich kann es nur weiterempfehlen!

Sehr gute Gerichte auf der Karte. Wir hatten an diesem Tag Pizza, hat uns sehr gut geschmeckt. Weiter so.

Mhhh das essen war echt total lecker

Standen eben um 17 Uhr vor geschlossenen Türen, obwohl es Dienstag ist und die Öffnungszeiten am Anrufbeantworter von 12-22 Uhr angegeben wurden. Am Eingang stand auch keine Info. Einmal gebe ich der Sache noch eine Chance.

Das Essen schmeckt gut und das Personal ist freundlich

Erste mal hier gewesen. 4 Sterne, für 5 hat nicht gereicht. Sehr nette Bedienung, leider musste man immer lange warten bis Sie kam damit man was neues zu trinken bekommt. Essen ok aber auch nicht überragend. Dips so lala. Der Beilagen Salat war lecker ist in drr kleinen Schale unter gegangen und hätte gut mit auf den Hauptteller gepasst. Meine Frikadelle hatte eine gummiartige Konsistenz und schmeckte irgendwie komisch, ob das so muss keine Ahnung. Der Burger von meinem Sohn schmeckte genauso. Preislich doch eher etwas zu teuer.

Mega leckere, authentische Balkanküche. Die Cevapčiči sind ein absolutes Muß. Das alles in einem wunderschönen Ambiente mit einem sehr lieben und aufmerksamen Serviceteam.

Essen 1a...wie in der Heimat vom Geschmack her. Leider ist der Service nicht wie in der Heimat. 3std Aufenthalt, genau 1x extra Getränke bestellt und das nur weil wir uns bemerkbar gemacht haben. Kann ich überhaupt nicht nachvollziehen, wenn man als Kellner an leeren Gläsern und Flaschen vorbei geht, fragt man ob man noch Umsatz machen kann 😂 also normalerweise jedenfalls.

Na ja was soll man sagen Sataras war nichtmal s von sataras sondern Geschnetzeltes von Huhn 🐔 mit Sahne sose. Nicht vergleichbar mit Oma sataras

Ich war mit meiner Familie dort essen und wir waren sehr begeistert. Wir wurden vom Kellner herzlich empfangen und haben als Vorspeise die Meza empfohlen bekommen. Die würde ich auch jedes mal wieder nehmen. Zum Hauptgericht gab es verschiedenes für jeden. Das Restaurant ist sauber gewesen und zum Ende gab es noch ein Schnaps aufs Haus. Wir kommen gerne wieder 😍

Balkanspezialitäten vom feinsten. Sehr große Auswahl an Spezialitäten. Restaurant ist geräumig und gemütlich . Preise sind noch sehr moderat. Personal sehr freundlich und zuvorkommend. Parken auf dem öffentlichen Parkplatz vorm Geschäft der ist leider immer sehr voll. Aber es wird immer etwas frei mit etwas Geduld. Klare Empfehlung werde die Küche aus der Balkanregion mag. Aber es gibt auch Pasta Gerichte....

Essen war ok. Die Bedienung war sehr langsam und desinteressiert. Obwohl wir fast die einzigen in der location waren, hatten wir nicht das Glück nach weiteren Getränken gefragt zu werden! Schade, aber hier möchte man wohl kein Umsatz machen

Het stonk daar en het eten was een beetje zuur. Het was heel stoffig en er stonden poppen die ik irritant vond. Ik zou naar het restaurant er naast gaan

Wir haben mit 2 Familien gut gegessen. Die Portionen waren riesig und der Kellner war, trotz leichter Arroganz, bemüht uns befriedigend zu bewirten. Unsere Kinder haben Spielzeug vor dem Tresen gefunden und sich damit beschäftigt. Das hat dem Wirten anscheinend nicht zu 100% gefallen, gesagt hat er aber nichts. Als wir bezahlen wollten, stellte sich heraus, dass man nur Bar für das Essen bezahlen kann. Da wir nicht genügend dabei hatten, schickte man uns zum nächsten Automaten. Der war außer Betrieb, also liefen wir im strömenden Regen 1,5 km. Als wir Männer, zurückkamen beklagten unsere Frauen, das eine Angehörige des Wirten unseren Kindern die Spielzeuge ruckartig entzog und unsere Frauen angepöbelt hat, dass es ein privater Bereich sei, als die Dame in der Küche verschwand, schrie Sie noch, es sei eine Unverschämtheit- (die Sachen waren zwischen Tresen und Toilette und es gab keine Hinweise, die daraufhin deuteten, dass sie nicht für Gäste vorhergesehen waren). Das zweite Manko ist das fehlen eines Terminals. Im Jahre 2022 ist Bargeld nicht in jedermanns Tasche und ein Mittagessen für 2 und Baby für 70€ ist kein Imbissstand Niveau, wo man das fehlen eines Kartenlesegerätes verzeihen kann. Es ist ziemlich schade, dass so viel Mühe ins zubereiten der Gerichte gesteckt wird und dann der Gast so schlecht behandelt wird. Es muss nicht die Regel sein, vielleicht hatten wir auch Pech- schade, dass man so einen schlechten Eindruck hinterlässt. Der Wirt sollte mit seinen Angehörigen Lösungen für unerwünschtes Verhalten der Gäste finden. Das würde der Location bestimmt gut tun.

Wir waren vor kurzem mit Freunden zum Essen eingeladen. Der Kellner war sehr freundlich. Aber das war es leider auch nur. Kalbsschnitzel gab es leider nicht nur Hähnchenschnitzel. Haben dann Cevapcici gegessen, war ok, gibt aber auch bessere! Dazu gab es Pommes leider waren diese so was von schlecht, da war das Friteusenfett schon sehr alt! Wir hatten gefragt wann denn das Öl ausgetauscht wurde, der Kellner sagte vor einer Stunde, also kurz nachdem wir bestellt hatten. Wollten dann als Nachtisch Baklava bestellen da es auf der Speisekarte mit drauf stand. Gab es dann leider auch nicht! Dann aktualisiert man doch die Speisekarte oder streicht durch was man nicht anbieten kann! Leider waren wir etwas enttäuscht, da wir gespannt auf die Balkanküche und auf Balcanico waren.
