Restaurant BachLiesl in Bad Füssing

We met friends there at the beginning of the new year. We had reserved a table in advance. We were warmly welcomed and shown to our table. The very friendly server took our orders and always asked if we needed anything else. We all ordered different dishes, which were served almost simultaneously. The food was excellent and beautifully presented. We would gladly return.

The food, the service, and the atmosphere are always simply perfect. We celebrated our wedding and several birthdays here. We were always 100% satisfied!

Very nice atmosphere, friendly service staff who were happy to accommodate special requests for an extra charge. The food was very tasty and plentiful; the only thing that wasn't entirely satisfactory was the salad bar. It wasn't very extensive and only offered two dressings. The wait for the food was short. The price-performance ratio was good, even excellent. The way to the restroom is a bit difficult for people with walkers, as it requires going down stairs. The number of parking spaces is also insufficient and the layout is cramped, so you might have to park a bit further away. Reserving a table is absolutely essential, as all the tables were indeed occupied. This could, however, be due to the truly excellent food. Conclusion: Recommended Addendum: The salad bar was already stocked with various salads, but I would have liked to see tomatoes and peppers or beets. That's just my personal preference, though; there was already a selection. A honey-mustard dressing was listed on the menu, but unfortunately, it wasn't available at the salad bar. I also found a salad at the salad bar; the bean salad was very good. I wasn't aware that there was a disabled toilet without steps; please excuse my oversight. Of course, you can't be held responsible for the difficulty in finding a parking space. This wasn't meant as a complaint, just an observation. There is, after all, the option of using the Netto supermarket parking lot. So, to sum it up: The price-performance ratio is absolutely fine, and the restaurant is highly recommended. We will gladly return.

There were eight of us for dinner, and everyone was thrilled. Simply book online and enjoy a wonderful meal.

We visited this restaurant for the first time today at lunchtime. We were greeted very warmly by a waitress and shown to our table. The restaurant is tastefully and comfortably furnished; we immediately felt at ease. The food was excellent, both in taste and presentation. This was our third visit to Bachliesl in one week. This time we pre-ordered spare ribs. The meat was incredibly tender, well-seasoned – absolutely delicious. A sour cream dip is included, and we also ordered the dip that comes with the burger. It was a perfect match! The service, as always, was quick and friendly. Reservations are highly recommended, as Bachliesl is always completely full.

Everything was perfect, as always. However, the limited time of two hours, which we were aware of, was unfortunately far too short. We had a very enjoyable conversation but had to cut it short around 7:30 pm because other guests were already waiting. Perhaps this could be arranged differently.

A truly beautiful ambiance. Exceptionally friendly and prompt service. A fantastic selection on the daily menu, and the New Year's Eve menu was simply first-class. The Burgundy roast, venison shank, and rump steak were all outstanding. The soups served beforehand were also exceptional. Even the dessert was delicious. We've rarely eaten so well. And the portions were generous. We're already looking forward to our next visit.

We always go to Restaurant BachLiesl when we're in Bad Füssing. It's one of the best restaurants in Bad Füssing, and the price-performance ratio is good, except for the delicious trout. It's served on special offer for €18.40 with four small potato halves and no salad! That doesn't match the price of the other dishes. They should at least come with some broccoli and carrots or a side salad. Perhaps they should reconsider that. Best regards, Norbert

We eat at this restaurant very often. The local cuisine is excellent and refined. The service is exceptionally friendly; whenever we're on holiday in Bad Füssing, eating here is a must. We'll be back in the new year.

A very nice restaurant/terrace with a warm atmosphere. I've eaten there several times this year (very varied)! As a single guest, I was usually seated at the round table. There, I don't have to sit alone and I've always had a good conversation instead of just staring into space. I look forward to seeing Angie, Maria, Sarah, and the others again.

We dined at BachLiesl again last night and were once more absolutely delighted. The ambiance is cozy and the decor stylish. The service is very attentive and thoughtfully organized to accommodate all the guests. We were happy to change tables for that reason. The food was delicious once again. From the soup and salad to the main courses and dessert, we found everything to be excellent. There's a positive atmosphere in the restaurant, and the high demand from both tourists and locals speaks volumes about the team's success. Reservations are required, and making them online is very easy.

True professionalism is revealed when things go wrong!! To begin with, I've eaten there several times and have always been delighted with the service and the food. But as is so often the case, everything had always gone smoothly. Today, however, there was a slightly different order than usual, and that's when the negative aspects unfortunately became apparent. What happened and how was it handled: There were three of us. I ordered an appetizer on my own and asked that one of the other two main courses be served with my appetizer. So far, so simple, and something I've done many times before. My appetizer arrived, but the main course didn't. It was probably a mistake, and the friendly server intervened. By then, I had finished eating, and the one main course arrived. Then nothing more came. Despite several complaints, the one main course had been eaten, but the other two were nowhere in sight. The only response I received, repeatedly, was: "Probably a misunderstanding!" Mistakes happen and are human, but how they're handled shows professionalism. At least a brief apology would be reasonable after over two hours for what was supposed to be a normal meal. I won't even suggest that perhaps an espresso or the two apricots could have been complimentary. In short: The food was excellent as always, but the service today and the handling of what was a perfectly human error were abysmal. I'll definitely think twice before visiting again. Addendum and brief response: 1. The young server was very friendly at all times. 2. None of the three people present heard an apology. Neither during the meal nor when paying. This would have been perfectly sufficient for us. 3. The two remaining main courses were explicitly ordered after my appetizer was cleared and the first main course was served. 4. Therefore, I don't see any "misleading" aspect. 5. Absolutely correct; I should have also reviewed previous, very positive visits. I'm sorry if this created a false impression. The food was okay, but I found it rather odd that, despite having reserved and received confirmation for a table for one person online three days prior, there was only a single seat available at the regulars' table. This should have been communicated beforehand, at least via email. Therefore, I am canceling my table reservation for today. Update: Since the food was good, which is the main part of a restaurant visit, and since I/we were satisfied with the seating arrangements on previous visits, I am changing my rating from 2 to 4 stars.

We chose Bachliesl based on the good reviews on TripAdvisor and Google. Reservations are absolutely essential!!! We weren't disappointed. Both the soups and the main courses were excellent. I especially want to highlight the spare ribs. I enjoy smoking meat myself, and here you can tell someone puts thought into it. The meat falls right off the bone. My fiancée's fish was also excellent and cooked to perfection. Unfortunately, we had to wait a little longer for our food to be cleared, even though it wasn't very busy. But that's really nitpicking. The only downside is the parking situation. According to information we received over the phone, you can park at the Netto supermarket about 100 meters away. However, you obviously run the risk of receiving a trespassing notice there. We were lucky and found a parking spot 5 minutes further on (opposite the Kirchawirt). All in all, we'll definitely be back. Please keep up the good work!

NEVER AGAIN❗️❗️❗️ Reserved a table on October 5, 2025 — only available online, not possible by phone. At 7:00 PM — no chance before. We were looking forward to duck, but two of the four dishes on the daily menu had already been canceled, including the duck. We chose another dish, and the waitress replied: "I'm sorry, my colleague just served the last three portions!" We: "But that can't be true, they advertise 'duck and roast every Sunday' and then it's all gone? Answer: We've already sold so much this afternoon. Okay, then we'll pay for the drinks and leave. Then came the biggest sentence: Yes, we're on vacation starting Monday, so we'd have to throw away that much too. For us, that translates to: "Just eat what's left—it has to go." ❗️ That's completely unacceptable. We didn't come here to eat leftovers because we were going on vacation, which we didn't know about and isn't our problem. A lost evening for us—one star is too many for this behavior.

This is what a lovingly run guesthouse looks like. From the moment you check in, you immediately receive an email, a message on your phone, and another reminder...the food was excellent, the service very pleasant and prompt. It couldn't be better.

We ate there today based on a recommendation! Monday is knuckle day! Unfortunately, it was a huge disappointment. They advertise it as being fresh from the grill! This knuckle was definitely not from a grill, but had been kept warm for ages. You could taste it! The rind wasn't crispy and it tasted of old, rancid fat. The sauce was a ready-made sauce with added flavor. Then you had to choose whether you wanted salad from the buffet or sauerkraut? Only one was included in the price! Salads weren't dressed! The service was very stressed; I wasn't even asked if I enjoyed my meal! We were very disappointed!!
