Nice restaurant. Fast service. Typical offer from Bohemian cuisine. Quick preparation. Szeged goulash, meat loaf with fried potatoes were great. The other dishes did not delight the palate. It somehow lacked spice and aroma. Vegetable salad without ingredients is somehow unusual or is it typically Bohemian?

A nice restaurant on the market square in Pirna. Unfortunately the food wasn't that good. Everything was very sparse or not seasoned at all (e.g. the dish: zander fillet... sure, you can add more seasoning... but unfortunately it wasn't anything special... the grilled vegetables were overcooked and the rosemary potatoes didn't see any rosemary). The service is inattentive and seems overwhelmed. We wouldn't come back straight away.

The interior of the restaurant has a great atmosphere and it's really nice there. They are also served by a robot there. :)

I really like the atmosphere and staff, quite a large dining room with 2 levels and an outdoor terrace, the food was very tasty and sufficient, there was a children's menu with a few dishes to choose from. The adult menu had something from everyone, the selection is not too overwhelming and is sufficient

Cold loin, fries twice fried, over-seasoned and cold Cabbage cold, sauce only tasted of pepper and cheap mixing sauce. My meal came on three small dessert bowls. As “compensation” I was offered an espresso. And I should get in touch next time. But how can a service not be found...

Definitely best restaurant and atmosphere in the beautiful Town of Pirna serving delicious Czech food. Their food even beats many of the restaurants I tried in Prague, I must say. I was initially fixed on another restaurant around the corner, but they turned us down because we didn't have a reservation, but this restaurant took us in without a problem eventhough it was busy and I'm very glad they did. The restaurant has a dark Medieval atmosphere, which I fell in love with. I ordered a typical Czech dish, the beef goulash with the bread dumplings and I must say I was surprised. I was never a fan of the dumplings, but these ones made me think again. The meat sauce was very rich in spices and the meat itself was very tender and the dish in general had a big portion, perfect, no mistakes. The schnitzel was good, nothing special though. The duck dish was however exceptional. It comes with bread dumplings as well and some of the best translucent Rotkohl I had ever tried, I'm a big fan definitely. I really enjoyed my dinner that night and if I ever visit Pirna again, I will sure make plans to dine there again.

Restaurant with Bohemian cuisine, but there are also other dishes, including vegetarian dishes, very fast and very friendly service, supported by a nimble robot serving trolley, which is also a little pleasure to watch while avoiding obstacles and at work. I've eaten better. This has little to do with Czech cuisine. The food came to the table almost cold, there was not enough sauce for the Bohemian dumplings, the meat tasted like the old s.. There was a stone (grit) in the red cabbage and it almost broke my tooth. 🤮 Waitress was nice, apologized and offered me a coffee, well, but I still had to pay the full price. 😡 The male waiter was a bit brusque and stressed. If we want to sit outside and it starts to rain then we're out of luck, there's no service outside and we can't go inside if it starts to rain. 🤦🤷 Original sound waiter! You have to like the operating robot, it might be a hit in China and Japan, but it's inappropriate here. All in all, a tourist trap. Not recommended !

5/18/2024 We discovered the restaurant by chance while visiting Pirna. We were all surprised at how delicious the food was. Real Czech cuisine, no imitations. And the portion sizes? Awesome :) The staff could not be read either. That's why I was surprised by the reviews complaining about the service. Maybe we were lucky or others unlucky, I don't know. Update 6/13/2024 We went to Babička on purpose to eat well. The business did not disappoint, the food was again excellent. We were just unlucky that I sat in a different part of the restaurant than last time. The young lady was obviously not enjoying her work as a waitress and we, as customers, often felt it from her demeanor. The waiter who served us last time was in charge of another part of the garden. It was clear that his concept of customer service is on a completely different level. Warm approach and communication with the customer, humor, relaxed atmosphere. But I'm starting to understand the reviews that complain about the service. Next time we have to be careful where we sit. But even so, the food was again excellent and we will definitely come again sometime

Very tasty food and great service for young and old. The children have a nice play area and were very enthusiastic about the temporary robot. The atmosphere is very nice, everything is clean and tidy.

Although we like to taste local specialties, Babička caught our attention in Pirno. Excellent food and drink, the service is an example of the Czech nature (all with humor and a smile on their face). We had a good time and can only recommend it. Thank you for representing our republic in this way.

So I was thrilled. It was actually a coincidence that we ended up there. They still had a free table. The menu was already convincing. Delicious Czech beers and a wide selection of dishes. I decided on this beer goulash. And it was really, really tasty. The portion was so large that I was glad I didn't order an appetizer. The waiters are quick and very attentive and constantly keep an eye on the level of the beer glasses. And when it comes to the price, you can't complain at all. For €30 you will definitely go home full and satisfied. There are three delicious Urquell on tap included. No question, I would love to come back there.

In principle, the kitchen has to pre-cook the food; goulash, roast beef or pork only work with advance cooking. So why does it take over an hour to prepare? Only one server for the entire guest room plus the outdoor area, and she is also disinterested. According to the cleaning notice, the toilets were last cleaned four days ago, and the guest room was also dirty. You don't need it...

2 people on staff is clearly not enough for the large restaurant + outdoor seating. Tables were not cleared and remained that way until we left the restaurant ourselves. Food came after 5 o'clock after ordering - somehow that gives me the impression that the microwave and deep fryer are not far away. Roast pork already over at 8 p.m. Mashed potatoes completely tasteless with little meat and for almost €22. It's a shame actually. Not again right away.

Came in at 6 p.m., there was no one inside. It didn't take long before we could order. Unfortunately we had to wait over 45 minutes for our food. In the meantime, at least two groups of four arrived and even got their food before us. The waiter told us about the order that got stuck in the system…. Simply incompetent

The food cannot be faulted, everything is at a much higher level than in the Czech Republic in a comparable restaurant. The only flaw is the service, the behavior is uncomfortably intrusive, and attention to the account may not correspond to the actual spending.

Definitely worth a visit: Sitting outside on the beautiful market square or inside in a rustic atmosphere, the food was typical of the country, including a delicious Czech Pilsner, which tasted very good and at a fair price. Been to Pirna for the first time. Did a little tour of the city and at some point I got hungry. And as everyone knows, Czech cuisine is good and hearty. We weren't disappointed, the food was great, and the price was also completely okay. Can recommend the restaurant to everyone.

Open until 10 p.m., we were there at 7:45 p.m., there were only drinks left, the kitchen was already closed and that on Saturday evening!!! I don't have to go there again.

The great inn with its pretty, rustic vault appealed to us. Typical, rustic atmosphere. Unfortunately, the blonde waitress was anything but hospitable... As a guest you had the feeling that you weren't allowed to have a say, the lady had disappeared from the table so quickly. The order was placed in no time. The menu offers a variety of dishes. Big portion. Unfortunately, the meat in the goulash was a bit dry and the sauce was quite bland. Even when clearing the plates, the waitress had little interest in the guest's well-being. It's a shame - good service is already half the battle. Unfortunately, there were used and dirty dishes in every corner, which probably didn't make it back to the kitchen. We'll probably choose a different restaurant next time.

Honestly, we were disappointed. It wasn't typical Czech food. The schnitzels didn't taste like anything, the goulash had large, dry and tough pieces of meat. The staff was overwhelmed. The serving robot threw down a plate. The lady at the bar then complained loudly. Shards and remains of the food had not yet been cleaned up when we left the restaurant. The homemade lemonade was oversweet and tasted like syrup. The waiter did his best, but found it z. B. It's not good that you wanted to make another change to the order. And that after 2 minutes after placing the order. I wouldn't go back to this restaurant after the experience.

This restaurant is not worth eating. I was with my kid, he was playing around a bit and the boy who works there came and told me to keep him next to me. There were a maximum of 3 people on the terrace. When my food came I got the lemon with mold, I told him that it was moldy, he took it and came back with a new one and said that there was no mold, that the lemon was damaged. All the while they were coming out and asking the other people if everything was okay or if they wanted anything else. They didn't even look at me, they were both very grumpy (boy and girl). I will never eat at this restaurant again. I'll walk past him as if he wasn't there

The food was so delicious that we went there again the next day. We waited 45 minutes, but it was also very crowded. But it was more than worth it. The garlic soup and the pork loin are also highly recommended. The staff is very friendly.

We were completely satisfied with our visit here to Restaurant Babička. Great Czech beers on tap and typical dishes are offered here. Everything tasted very good. The plates were well stocked and we were more than full. The staff is friendly. We would be happy to come back. There is a robot that supports the staff and delivers the dishes directly to the tables - something new that you don't see everywhere.

This was the second time I've been to this restaurant, but the second time was worse. Except for the Pepsi 300g of meat, the food was worse than in a 1000-person canteen! We decided on the restaurant spontaneously and got a table without any problems, even without a reservation. We were immediately impressed by the atmosphere. The staff is very nice and friendly. A small but very fine menu and the food is very, very tasty and you can tell that the food is cooked here with a lot of love. We can only recommend this restaurant and we will definitely come back. We wish the whole team continued success.

Update after 11 months: Here's a little addendum: we were recently invited to Babicka. In any case, something has happened, this time all wishes were received in the kitchen and the drinks were also filled up much more quickly. The only thing left is that the food still takes a long time to reach the table and the dishes still lack a bit of seasoning and some of the dishes are still too sweet. It's good that we're seeing improvement, which is why I'm raising the rating from 3 to 4 stars. Went there for a meal with the family. Well, there is still room for improvement. It was good that the waitress took the order quite quickly at the beginning and was very nice and friendly. You can't complain about the ambience or the tavern itself, everything is nice, clean, tidy and newly done, there's also plenty of space. The robot ok doesn't bother me now so I can live with it. The only thing that bothers me a bit is that the Czech language is written first and in quite large capitals, which makes it hard to read. What we don't like so much is that it really takes forever for everything to arrive. The food didn't take less than an hour, unfortunately the drinks also took a really long time and it wasn't that everything was full of guests. But what was really annoying was the extra requests that didn't arrive in the kitchen at all, no matter what and how we ordered, it always came exactly as it was on the menu. The only good thing about it is that it was on the bill without the extras, well I think it was a waste of money. The taste didn't blow us away, it was ok but nothing more. Some of the family said some of the food was quite sweet. The only thing I thought was cool was that we got a whole bottle of ketchup at the table.

Delicious and very good Czech cuisine in a cozy, pleasant atmosphere, right on the market square. The staff is very friendly and accommodating, asks questions and wants you to have a great stay. The Szeged goulash with dumplings, the schnitzel or the dumplings with Kasler filling are highly recommended.

Pleasant atmosphere, nice staff. Unfortunately, the food didn't meet our expectations. The fish and meat were very dry, the vegetables were overcooked and floating in oil. Maybe we were just unlucky with our choice of food.

The food tasted very good and was still affordable at €17. The service was very nice, the robot that brings food to the table is something new and funny.

Very tasty food and good 🍻! A reservation would have been urgently needed over Easter. Everything was fully booked for days. But we were lucky and a table for two became available 😅
