Sehr sauber, sehr freundliches Personal, sehr gute Parkmöglichkeit auf dem Hotelgelände, gute Busverbindung in die Stadt falls man das Auto stehen lassen will, ein perfektes Preis-Leistungsverhältnis. Absolut zu empfehlen.

Top Hotel, tolle Lage direkt am See mit tollem Ausblick. Durchweg freundliches Personal. Hervorragende Küche im Restaurant. Preislich allerdings in der oberen Liga angesiedelt.

Schönes Hotel. Klasse gelegen. Mega Frühstück. Superfreundliches Personal. Empfehlung. Gegenüber dem letztem Besuch war das Zimmer aber in manchen Ecken sehr staubig. Sauber war es trotzdem. Allein das Restaurant finde ich für die Qualität zu teuer... Das geht woanders besser.

Alles in allem finde ich, dass dies das beste Hotel der Stadt ist. Die Aussicht ist absolut faszinierend und bietet immer wieder neue Eindrücke, und alles strahlt Qualität und Sorgfalt aus. Die Stadt selbst ist ehrlich gesagt nicht so aufregend, daher lohnt es sich, etwas mehr in das Hotelerlebnis zu investieren.

Der Service im Restaurant (Außenbereich) lässt zu wünschen übrig. Entspricht nicht dem eines renommierten Hotels! Heute bei bestem Wetter im Außenbereich Platz genommen. Keine Bedienung! Auf Nachfrage gab es die Antwort, man könne nicht ständig nach draußen laufen, um zu schauen, ob Kundschaft da sei. Die beiden Damen standen scheinbar lieber hinter dem Tresen um zu Plaudern. Der Cappuccino wurde dann zwar zum Tisch gebracht, dieser aber nicht zum Platz gerückt. Cappuccino sehr milchlastig. Insgesamt noch deutlich Luft nach oben.

Direkt am See gelegen, in einem renovierten ehemaligen Getreidespeicher, besticht es durch seinen einzigartigen Charakter, der es von typischen Hotels abhebt. Die Lage ist eine seiner größten Stärken: Der Blick auf den Ziegelsee und die Terrasse am Wasser laden zum Entspannen ein, besonders bei Sonnenuntergang. Obwohl das Hotel in einer sehr ruhigen Gegend liegt, ist die historische Altstadt nur 15–20 Gehminuten entfernt. Die Zimmer sind komfortabel und gut ausgestattet und bieten einen modernen Stil, der einen schönen Kontrast zum historischen Gebäude bildet. Das Hotel ist sehr schön und ruhig am Ziegelsee gelegen. Wir hatten ein Zimmer in der 2. Etage zur Landseite, wohl eher eine schlechtere und günstigere Kategorie, wobei 196,90 € für Übernachtung mit Frühstück im Doppelzimmer für 2 Personen nicht wirklich ein Schnäppchen sind. Innenstadt, Altstadt, Schloss und weitere Sehenswürdigkeiten lassen sich vom Hotel aus gut fußläufig erkunden. Die Qualität und Präsentation des Frühstück ist sehr gut bzw. ansprechend. Der Service war sehr freundlich und aufmerksam. Für einen Kurztripp mit wenig Aufenthalt auf dem Zimmer war alles topp.

Wenn man länger da ist ist die Auswahl beim Frühstück leider immer gleich keine Abwechslung in 3 Tagen Schade.

Wer ein gemütliches Wochenende oder einfach nur ein paar gemütliche Tage zu zweit oder in Gesellschaft verbringen will, der ist im Hotel Speicher am Ziegelsee in Schwerin gut aufgehoben. Große, geräumige Zimmer mit vielen Fenstern zum zum Ziegelsee laden über insgesamt sieben Etagen zum verweilen ein. Die Zimmer selbst sind mit großen Betten ausgerüstet und großzügige Badezimmer garantieren, dass niemals Raumangst aufkommen kann. Der eigene PKW kann auf dem Hotel eigenen Parkplatz während des Aufenthalts ausruhen, denn in wenigen Metern Entfernung kann man mit den Buslinien bequem ins Zentrum von Schwerin fahren. Dort kann man bummeln oder mit der Straßenbahn zum Beispiel in den Zoo oder an einem beliebigen anderen Ort fahren. Das äußerst freundliche Personal hilft gern weiter mit Tipps und man kann auch die Tourismuskarte für ein zwei oder sieben Tage erwerben, mit der man an verschiedenen Orten diverse Ermäßigungen bekommt oder alternativ permanent frei mit den öffentlichen Verkehrsmitteln innerhalb von Schwerin reisen kann. Im Keller warten zwei Saunen auf einen entspannten Abend und nach dem Saunieren kann man gemütlich im Hotel eigenen Restaurant oder in mehreren Gaststätten in der Nähe sein Essen einnehmen. Die Hotel eigene Restaurant Speisekarte ist zwar nicht besonders groß, aber die Gerichte sind alle liebevoll zubereitet und schmackhaft. Im Sommer kann man hinter dem Hotel in Strandkörben ein gewisses Strand Feeling genießen, wenn man zum Beispiel einen Aperitif genießt und das Treiben auf der Strandpromenade beobachtet . Ein eigener Bootsteg steht zur Verfügung, an dem im Sommer wohl auch die weiße Flotte anlegt. Die Übernachtungspreis und Preise für Arrangements sind fair. Die vier Sterne hat sich das Hotel zurecht verdient. Aus meiner Sicht unbedingt empfehlenswert. 😎😃😎

Es hat uns sehr gut gefallen: Schön ruhig, alles sehr sauber, tolles Frühstück, nette Bar. Schade nur, dass die Bushaltestelle nicht vor der Tür ist und der Bus so selten fährt, aber dafür kann ja das Hotel nicht.

Es war wieder alles perfekt!!! Super Frühstück, sehr nette Mitarbeiterinnen und Mitarbeiter!!! Kommen immer gerne wieder!- Auch unser aktueller Aufenthalt (26.02.-01.03.26; es war unser fünfzehnte Aufenthalt im Speicher!!!) war wieder perfekt und erholsam; alles stimmte! Besonders erfreulich ist die Tatsache, dass die Speisekarte des Restaurants überarbeitet wurde und jetzt wieder sehr ansprechend ist!

Schönstes Hotel in Schwerin! Wir waren jetzt über die Jahre schon 15mal in diesem Hotel, es war immer perfekt! Besonders gefällt uns das sehr freundliche und serviceorientierte Personal, man fühlt sich als Gast immer herzlich willkommen! Die Zimmer, die ganze Einrichtung, die Lage direkt am Ziegelsee: alles super! Zu Fuß ist man in 20 Minuten mitten in der Altstadt Schwerins. Das Restaurant hat eine sehr gute, gehobene Küche, jetzt wieder mit regionalen Gerichten, was uns sehr gut gefällt. Auch das Frühstücksbuffet lässt keine Wünsche offen! Hier stimmt wirklich alles!

Wie waren begeistert und haben hier eine wundervolle Zeit verbracht. Das Hotel ist ein aufwändig umgebauter, historischer Speicher direkt am Ziegelsee. Es ist modern und geschmackvoll eingerichtet. Schöne Zimmer, da direkt am See mit toller Aussicht. Das Personal ist sehr freundlich und zuvorkommend. Das Restaurant bietet gehobene Küche, und hat in jeder Hinsicht überzeugt. Eine großzügige und moderne Sauna und ein Saunarium laden zum Entspannen ein. Wer Lust auf Workout hat, kommt bim Fitness Raum auf seine Kosten. Wir können das Hotel in jeder Hinsicht empfehlen und sind hier gerne wieder zu Gast.

Empfehlung: 7 Etage Zimmer mit Seeblick ... toll!

Wir waren zu einem mehrtägigen Seminar hier. Unser Seminarraum war hell, freundlich und modern eingerichtet. Die Lage ist top. Parkplätze sind reichlich vorhanden. Das Personal ist sehr freundlich und aufmerksam. Die Zimmer kann ich nicht beurteilen. Aber die Versorgung ringsum war sehr zufriedenstellend. Gerne wieder.

Wir haben uns bislang nur per email ausgetauscht. Wir möchten die längst fällige Bewertung jetzt nachholen. Wir haben uns sehr wohl gefühlt in ihrem Haus. Es war alles ordentlich, sauber und chic. Das restaurant war ebenfalls sehr schön wie auch die Bar. Der Service war allzeit nett und zuvorkommend. Wie schon in der email beschrieben, ist die "Gefahr" gross, dass wir wiederkommen. A very nice hotel right on the Ziegelsee lake. This hotel is now our new favorite in Schwerin. Besides the peaceful location, we especially enjoyed the service, the cuisine, and the spa area.

Our room was very nicely furnished. I can't comment on the food, but the cocktails and snacks were excellent. The feeling of being right on the water in the beach chair was wonderful.

Absolutely recommended! We were thrilled with the Speicher Hotel in Schwerin: stylish, modern rooms, spotlessly clean, and pleasantly quiet. A dream for dog owners – we've rarely experienced such a warm and attentive welcome with our four-legged friend (a genuine welcome, not just "allowed"). We spent one night at the Hotel Speicher. It was truly very pleasant. The room was stylish and comfortable. The service staff was very friendly. The breakfast was absolutely perfect. The overall impression was very harmonious. I felt very comfortable.

Two words that say it all: Everything was TOP-NOTCH. We were thrilled years ago and therefore deliberately booked again this time. Conclusion: Everything was done right. From booking, to checking in, the stay, to checking out – it was unforgettable. The staff was fantastic. Delicious food in the evening. The breakfast was perfect. The recommendations for activities – extremely practical.

A very nice hotel with excellent service. The rooms were very clean, but there was no small refrigerator. Unfortunately, the restaurant is no longer open for lunch. But all in all, it's top-notch.

A beautiful hotel with a truly great location. Friendly staff, fantastic food in the hotel restaurant, and a good breakfast selection; we all enjoyed it very much. Unfortunately, the attic room was a bit noisy at night due to the storm, and it was chilly.

Great hotel. We had a spacious room with a lake view, on the first floor by special request. It was wonderful that there was a sofa and two chairs. The location was perfect for us because we drove into town anyway, which was too far for us to walk. We also spent two lovely afternoons sitting outside in the sun and out of the wind. The food is also excellent. We ate there two evenings (out of five) and were definitely impressed.

We enjoyed a wonderful candlelight dinner in the hotel restaurant. The evening was very good and highly recommended. The location of the hotel/restaurant is very good. The restaurant itself is very nice and has a peaceful atmosphere. The food, a three-course menu, was very good and very tasty. The courses were very well coordinated, and for the main course you could choose between meat, fish, or vegetarian. The price was more than fair for the service (in Hamburg you would certainly pay twice as much). Everything was topped off by the server, Ms. Kähler. She turned a good meal into an unforgettable evening. Very accommodating and friendly, always there when you needed her, but not intrusive. Every question was answered or clarified, always with a calm, obliging smile. I have rarely experienced such service. An unforgettable experience.

An exceptionally beautiful hotel with very comfortable rooms in the city center. A delicious à la carte dinner and a very generous breakfast ensure that nothing is lacking in culinary terms. The very friendly staff rounds everything off and makes the stay unforgettable.

We stayed at the Speicherhotel Schwerin for a short stay and were absolutely thrilled. The staff was very friendly and accommodating, making us feel immediately welcome. The cuisine deserves special praise: the dishes were excellent and absolutely delicious! A true highlight of our stay. The hotel's location is perfect for a quiet time, for wellness, or simply to unwind. The center of Schwerin is easily accessible on foot in 10 minutes. We would be happy to return.

I wasn't a hotel guest, but when I'm in Schwerin, I like to go there to chill out a bit and drink a very good coffee. It's relaxing to look out at one of the many lakes.

Unfortunately, I can't recommend it. We were rudely turned away, saying dinner was only for hotel guests.

The hotel we originally booked had reserved the wrong room for us (one wheelchair user and one companion), so we were left somewhat clueless in Schwerin, unsure of what to do. The Hotel Speicher am Ziegelsee had a great room with a lake view available for one night. The entrance and the various floors are easily accessible with a wheelchair, and the bathroom has a practical sliding door. Grab bars have been installed by the toilet. A shower chair was available for the shower. One tiny negative point: unfortunately, there is no grab bar in the shower. With a little help—which I need even with grab bars—I was still able to shower. The entire hotel, including the room, was very clean and functionally furnished, and the mattresses were very comfortable. The attached restaurant/bistro exudes a wonderful atmosphere, which I would enjoy all the time if I lived nearby. The breakfast was fantastic! I must mention the friendliness of the staff at this point. We thank you very much and would love to come back!

Highly recommended! A very clean and well-maintained hotel with very friendly staff and an upscale and stylish ambiance. The breakfast was absolutely sufficient and focused on organic and homemade products, which was noticeable in the quality. Carbon neutrality and general ecological awareness are very important to the operators, but are never intrusively presented to guests; rather, they are unobtrusively integrated into the hotel's daily routine. My request for a firmer pillow was promptly addressed, and I was then presented with several options. The location on Lake Ziegelsee gives the hotel an extra atmospheric kick. Relaxing in a beach chair and watching the hustle and bustle on the lake while enjoying the great weather and a cool drink was very relaxing for us. We would love to come back, and definitely stay longer this time!

This hotel, converted from a grain warehouse, offers amazing views from the upper floors. It's well-maintained and clean. There's a sauna in the basement, which I always use. The massages (reservations required) are also excellent, so be sure to give them a try! The staff are friendly and always welcoming. Breakfast on the terrace is fantastic in the pleasant seasons. For dinner, I recommend ordering the classic dishes. The slightly more unusual dishes didn't appeal to my palate. I think the sauces and combinations are often quite unique. (Opinion after four stays) The city center is about a 20-minute walk away. I always stay at this hotel when I'm in Schwerin.✨

We spontaneously checked in last Sunday. The welcome was so warm that we immediately felt at home. The ambiance was also pleasant. The free hotel parking made choosing this hotel an easy task. The room was beautiful, the view of the lake even more beautiful, and the breakfast truly fantastic. Thanks to the entire hotel team! The lady at the reception: a very special thank you. Service at the bar: They should have looked around more often, otherwise we wouldn't have had to get the drinks ourselves and pay again at the bar later. We would have had another drink in between. 😉

A very nice hotel, with great service, great rooms (at least room 407 was great, also with the view of the lake), and very good food, both for breakfast (buffet) and in the evening. The wellness area is small but very nicely furnished, with two saunas at 65 degrees Celsius and 90 degrees Celsius, as well as an infrared sauna. Between sauna sessions, you can relax wonderfully on the hotel's jetty, which offers a view of Lake Ziegelsee. It's highly recommended if you want to visit Schwerin. It's about a 20-minute walk to the city center. Tip: Book a room facing the lake or the front facing the city center, then you'll have a very nice view. Of course, the higher the floor, the better. I can't say whether an attic room is a good choice. Free parking is available at the hotel.

A truly beautiful hotel with a great location, excellent service, and excellent cuisine. The breakfast is just right, not too much, and nothing is missing. Very convenient breakfast times for late risers until 11:30. The parking lot is right outside, including an electric charging station. The only drawback, and it only becomes apparent at 35 degrees Celsius: The rooms don't have air conditioning, and the mattress covers unpleasantly reflect the heat. But honestly, when do you ever get 35 degrees in the shade in Schwerin? Highly recommended!

Great hotel, I think the nicest in Schwerin. Excellent breakfast, but unfortunately, the dinner menu isn't so great. There aren't any simple, affordable dishes.

Our third visit to this highly recommended hotel (this time in a land-facing room). Great location and beautiful view of the lake from the terrace/beach chairs. Very friendly staff who seem to enjoy their work even in 35-degree heat. Lots of nice touches: drinks, fruit, fresh flowers in the reception area, a rose on the bathroom mirror, etc., a fantastic breakfast with many regional products, a short walk to the city center, and an ideal starting point for exploring Schwerin's attractions or starting a bike tour (bike rentals available). And the parking is free—where else can you find that these days?

It was very nice the third time, we will come again.

I'll start with what went less well: The noise insulation of the room was bad. We could hear the people in the next room talking, and we could clearly tell what TV channel they were watching. I'm guessing it was an elderly couple, as they woke up at 7am and would watch TV until the breakfast buffet started at 8am. Two nights in a row, that I didn't get a full nights sleep. For the price of the room, that was very disappointing. What went well: - The room was spacious, had all the basic amenities, a very nice bathroom, and a large and comfortable double bed. The view to the lake and the castle were amazing. - The breakfast didn't offer a lot of variety, but what it did offer had really high quality and freshness. The fruits, cheeses, spreads, juice, all pretty amazing, and I highly recommend, if you stay, that you enjoy the buffet. - The private spa is amazing. The staff set the sauna temperature according to our request, offered a bowl of fruit, and asides from sauna we had a pleasant large bathtub with jacuzzi function, a walk in shower, and large chairs and chaise longues to lay down and rest from the sauna, multiple towels and bathrobes. Having all that space just for ourselves felt really luxurious and relaxing. Unfortunately the view from the spa is not to the lake, but that is a minor detail I don't mind at all, I came out of that spa feeling truly happy and relaxed. - Despite our limitations in the German language, the staff was able to understand us, and mostly actually communicated in English, for our comfort. - The restaurant bar has some exterior seating. Now, unfortunately we had poor weather, but otherwise the couples seating baskets would have been wonderful! - We didn't try the "public" spa of the hotel, but wandered around, and it looked to be very comfortable and complete. In summary, amazing staff, location and wellbeing facilities. I would however not stay in the future, with fear of not being able to sleep through the night. I would absolutely visit for another booking of the private spa, or to try the "public" spa.

We highly recommend this hotel! Visitors are welcome here and are attentively looked after. The evening dinner completes the overall impression; a big compliment to the kitchen and, of course, the service. We particularly liked that the building retained its original facade, and in a leisurely half-hour walk through the old town, you can reach the castle. The location is also very good, as on the one hand, you have the tranquility of a residential area, and on the other, you can quickly reach the old town with all its sights. We would be happy to come back.

The hotel is simply great. The decor is beautiful, the rooms are clean, the staff is always friendly, the food is delicious and the technical equipment in the meeting rooms is simply great. Luckily the hotel is a 30-minute walk away from the city center, otherwise you wouldn't have anything to complain about. The next stay in Schwerin will definitely be planned here again.

The hotel is worth 5 stars all around. Unfortunately, due to time constraints, I was hardly able to see, let alone enjoy, the unique location right on the lake. The dinner was very tasty and special, there was nothing missing at breakfast and all the employees were extremely friendly and helpful.

As soon as you enter through the front door to the Reception, you are sucked into the pleasant and welcoming atmosphere. It oozed far from Christmas cheer. This impression continued both with the room (among other things a real rose on the bathroom mirror) and our breakfast, the service was fantastic, the buffet top notch, which was decorated for Christmas and the staff were extremely service minded. PS we had a lovely walk along the lake to and from the Christmas market. There is a small footpath which is peaceful and cosy. I am often in the seminar rooms for further training. The ambience, preparation of the seminar rooms and gastronomic accompaniment are always top.

Great hotel in the former warehouse, as the name and location suggest, on Ziegelsee. About 30 minutes walk from the old town. Nice spacious rooms, very attentive and friendly staff. Great breakfast buffet and exclusive diner. Very tastefully decorated. I would not only recommend it, but would also take it again the next time I visit the city.

The rooms were nice, the facilities average but the food, considering it's a 4 star hotel, was really bad. The bread at breakfast was dry, as if it was from the previous day. At dinner the meat was overcooked - we had a hard time chewing it - the wine had a weird taste, the dessert was almost not touched and the staff didn't even bother to ask why we didn't eat or if we liked it, they just didn't care. This is unacceptable for the pricey room in a 4 star hotel.

We had the pleasure of being there from October 31st. to spend a short vacation at the Hotel Speicher am Ziegelsee in Schwerin until November 2nd, 2024 and can only warmly recommend the hotel. The location right on the lake is simply fantastic: quiet and yet only a few minutes' walk from the city center and the castle. The welcome was very warm, the staff were always friendly and attentive. Our double room was sufficiently large and modernly furnished, and we didn't miss anything. Particularly noteworthy is the cleanliness - the entire hotel was very well maintained. The breakfast buffet was fantastic. There was a wide selection to suit all tastes and the quality of the food was excellent. Dinner in the hotel's own restaurant was also a highlight: the menu is well selected and the taste of the food is hard to beat. The price-performance ratio is also perfect here. Thank you for the lovely stay – we would be happy to come back and recommend the hotel!

Nice hotel located on Ziegelsee. We had room 705 with a wonderful view of the lake. The staff was very attentive and friendly the entire time! There was also the opportunity to have a drink at the bar late in the evening. There was something for everyone at breakfast. If something was missing, it was added after a short time. On the lake side there is a beautiful terrace overlooking the lake, beach chairs and a platform on the water. What I found negative was that there was only one elevator. We would definitely come back!

Always a good address. TOP beds and large bathroom. The staff is also friendly. It's not cheap either - in that sense it's worth the price.

Nice hotel, nice room, good breakfast, nice location and nice staff...what more could your heart want.

Very friendly staff, service is great. Breakfast was very plentiful, but the evening menu was a bit sparse, but that's my personal impression.

Highly recommended, book and enjoy

It was a short vacation at its best. Everything was harmonious, friendly, competent staff, the room was well equipped, well thought out and clean. The beds were great, we were able to sleep very well. The breakfast was delicious and the menu was good in the evening, the food: I haven't eaten so good in a long time and the dessert was indescribably delicious, the combination of celery, apple, brownie, candied walnut and blue cheese, brilliant, incredibly delicious, you have to get to that first, We won't forget the weekend, thank you

Great hotel, very friendly staff and the breakfast was top

The super nice and considerate people who don’t just “do their job” here are the biggest plus. But the building itself also exudes a very special charm. Our room was very clean, the mattresses very comfortable and there was a good working hot shower. All in all, 100% recommendation! The only downside is the portions in the restaurant. It tasted delicious, although not exceptional. But if you're hungry, you should go into town.

A particularly beautiful city and always worth a trip! The hotel has a perfect location and is highly recommended!

Great hotel, super delicious food and super super nice staff. I was there for a week, there were only 2 things that bothered me, firstly, when I showered the whole bathroom was wet because the "separation" was very small. And secondly, some rooms have a water surface and some don't

Great location, staff very accommodating and helpful. Very well-kept hotel, rooms very well equipped, even with charging options for USB devices. Breakfast highly recommended. Everyone in the bar also exudes friendliness; you feel comfortable and welcome everywhere. The cocktails are also highly recommended. Great price/performance ratio. Very centrally located and still very quiet. It takes about 20 minutes to walk to the market square. Conclusion: We will definitely come back! Keep it up!

Location is solid. The cleanliness of the room is generally okay, but I am unsure why they installed carpet. Real cleanliness cannot therefore be guaranteed. The staff is mostly friendly, but not professionally trained. The promise of sustainability is more of an illusion here than anything else. The windows aren't really well glazed & the frames don't help to insulate anything at all.
