Everyone is super friendly there. We went home full (farmer's meatball) and in a good mood!

I stopped here on my motorbike and was warmly welcomed by the local regulars. Nice place and warm people.

Simply a great, rustic pub with great food and great prices. Concerts are just great, just like in the living room

We had lunch at the Alte Post at Pentecost and were thrilled with the asparagus plate! The menu is really good, home-style: from simple currywurst with fries and delicious fresh salad with fresh herbs (fries are super delicious!) to schnitzel variations and asparagus delicacies to fish (smoked, fried), there is something for everyone. In the rustic beer garden we had a wonderful shady spot with a view of many well-tended summer flowers that are personally cared for by the innkeeper! About the service: Depending on who is there and how good the service is, it is sometimes very friendly and sometimes... I would like to say "special" (because simply authentic), but some guests apparently can't handle that. We love the Alte Post including the sometimes "edgy" service!!! We find the ambience to be rustic and cozy - an original mix of an old village pub and grandma's living room! We are glad that there is still such an old village inn near us and will definitely come back soon!

You have to give it 1 star. We'll give it to the waitress! But otherwise...disaster. We were in the area and wanted to eat hearty, typically German food. When we arrived, a dog barked at us, there was a cigarette burning in the ashtray on the counter and the boss who was standing about 1 m next to us didn't even say hello. However, she complained to obvious regulars that she couldn't use walk-in customers today because she was expecting a group. The waitress was friendly and served well. The food may of course be a matter of taste, but everyone notices a certain quality. Or rather, no one notices any quality. The currywurst tasted sour, the fries tasted like old fat, the mushrooms and sauce were from a can/bag. A pity. We will never eat there again...

Restaurant with flair from the 70's, really iconic again. Very nice boss and attentive staff. The food is very tasty and there is something for everyone. Very good price-performance ratio. We will be back

Prompt, very North German service. Beer and liquor orders are still taken seriously here! The portion of food was good and the schnitzel tasted good too. The pub is very cozy and quaint. The villagers take part in skat and double head rounds and they seem to know each other. I like it and I'll come back.

Food very tasty and inexpensive, service friendly. Unfortunately, people smoked right in the entrance area at the counter, which then spread throughout the entire restaurant.

Rustic atmosphere (probably not for everyone), homemade food (very tasty!) and very nice service, you don't find that often anymore.

Eating like your mother's, we were surprised at how good the food tasted.

Everything from the 60s and 70s. It's pretty quaint. It has something and it's all simple and uncomplicated. However, the sanitary facilities need to be done urgently. Please have a little more space in the toilet and a door that can also be closed. Otherwise all good.

We have registered a group of 6 people in advance and a dog is also very welcome, said the nice lady with the breathy voice on the phone in advance. The choice of food, especially for vegetarians, is definitely expandable. The salad seemed “fresh from the bag”. Shortly before departure, the lady mentioned above asked us to send the initially “welcomed dog” into one of the vehicles we had brought with us. Our dog didn't bother any fellow guests or the staff.

Wir waren mit einer Gruppe von ca. 12 Leuten auf einem Sonntag Nachmittag vor Ort. Küche hat zu, waren mit die ersten Worten und ob wir noch Platz auf dem Parkplatz gelassen haben. Zur Kuchenauswahl kann ich nicht viel sagen, aber mit dem Kaffee lief es nicht so gut. Ein Tisch wartete z.B. vergeblich auf das schwarze Nass. Die Wirtin war nicht sehr freundlich und für die Uhrzeit waren wir merkwürdigerweise mit die einzigen Gäste. Nochmal muss nicht sein.

Schönes Ambiente mit dörflichem Charakter. Bewohner sind als Laien Darsteller gleich vor Ort. Ein freundliches "Moin", klingt immer besser wie ein steifes guten Tag. Uns hat es gut gefallen und wir werden dort wieder einkehren. Es lohnt sich .

Zufälliger und spontaner Besuch. Das Essen war reichhaltig und sehr lecker. Was jedoch in Erinnerung bleibt ist die auffällige Freundlichkeit aller Sandhattener! Jeder sagte Guten Tag, fragte wie es schmeckt, jeder nahm Anteil und zeigte Interesse. Ein sehr angenehmer Besuch. Jederzeit wieder

Wir bei ziemlicher Hitze dort eingekehrt. Alles gut. Die eine Bedienung war etwas schnippisch. Der Kuchen war lecker.

Der Laden macht seinem Namen Ehre "Alte Post". So altback Ausstattung hab ich noch nicht gesehen aber ist ja Geschmacksache. Nicht Gefallen haben mir die Bedingungen. Wir saßen immer wieder länger ohne Getränke da und es wurde nicht nachgefragt wegen Nachschub das ist auch irgendwie Geschäftsschädigend finde ich, allerdings waren die beiden Bedingungen sehr freundlich. Wir waren mit zehn Leuten da und das Essen dauerte glaube ich eine Stunde. (Es war vorbestellt und ansonsten war der Laden bis dahin quasi leer) Das ist schon grenzwertig.. Es hat dann allerdings wirklich top geschmeckt. Wenn man Zeit hat, gut essen möchte und es rustikal mag dann ist man hier richtig.

Absolut top. Essen gut und der Preis-Leistung stimmt. Bedienung hilfreich und gut drauf. Sauber Toiletten. Ein Besuch wert.

Das Essen war an sich super. Hat wirklich gut geschmeckt. Wir waren mit 18 Personen dort und hatten vorab bestellt. Leider kam das Essen so nach und nach, so daß der Erste quasi schon fertig war, als der letzte sein Essen bekam. Und unter unseren Tisch lagen lautet Kippen. Das war nicht so fein. Der Nachtisch Eis mit frischen Erdbeeren 🍓 war richtig super. Wer es rustikal mag vom Ambiente ist dort super aufgehoben.

Super leckeres Essen, zu mehr als fairen Preisen. Tolle, vielseitige Atmosphäre -drinnen die klassische urige Kneipe, draußen ein wunderschön hergerichteter Biergarten mit unmittelbar benachbarten Übernachtungsmöglichkeiten. Wechselnde Unterhaltung -von puplic viewing bis hin zu Konzerten. Klasse Wirt und Personal!! Wir kommen immer gerne wieder!!

Mal schnell am Abend noch frische geräucherte Forelle holen, dafür muss man nicht in der Großstadt wohnen, das geht hier auf dem Land zwischen Hunte, Wald und Flur. Lecker und Danke

Geiles altes Wirtshaus. Super nett, gemütlich und lecker von Forellen bis Schnitzel...

Geschmackvoll im Retrostil eingerichteter Gasthof. Auch draußen kann man gut sitzen. Die Preise sind völlig angemessen für das was man bekommt. Ordentliche Portionen, ländlich, deftig und schön auf dem Teller angerichtet. Da geh ich nochmal hin!
