Restaurant Alte Post in Uhldingen-Mühlhofen

We spend 5 days in Uhldingen. While looking for a restaurant we came across the “Alte Post”. There are very few reviews. We'll try it, that was the plan. So we reserved a table, luckily! The restaurant was completely booked on a Monday. There were also many locals among the guests! The food was super tasty. The zander with shrimp was great, but the sirloin with pepper sauce also tasted great!! We can highly recommend a visit! We will also have dinner there again!!

Today we were in the Alte Post for the first time since it reopened. Great impression, well attended and yet calm, professional service and good quality cuisine. We'll definitely be back and keep our fingers crossed for a great opening phase.

New operator! Opening times from 12 p.m. to 9 p.m. Visited the new tenants for the first time today. There is homemade cake in the afternoon. Today rhubarb cake, cheesecake and apple strudel. Everything was very tasty and the tenant who served was very friendly. They also want to offer lunch during the week. We'll definitely try that out.

We went there for dinner for the first time after the island of Mainau on Wednesday evening. Nice, smaller and very cozy restaurant that we really liked. The service, the food and the prices were all top 👍 We were completely satisfied and will come back 😊

Unfortunately my visit was disappointing as I found a hair in my schnitzel. I have the impression that the hygiene control in the kitchen is inadequate.

Food was good. Reasonably priced, but very little on the plate. They're not big eaters, but none of them were full afterwards. We also reported this to the waitress, who, however, had no understanding of our criticism.

German cuisine, otherwise tasty food but without excesses, summer garden at your disposal. It is not possible to pay by card, only by cash (of course there was no bill). Staff polite and friendly. I recommend.

This is a quaint restaurant with friendly service and delicious food. The menu is clear, but is supplemented by a special menu. The food is quickly served to hungry guests and snails are delicious. The stay is rounded off by very pleasant and friendly service.

Friendly and accommodating, very cheap food, tastes like your mother's. We would come back at any time

We were able to enjoy a great meal together as a family, and all the drinks were fresh and cold. We particularly enjoyed the Willi schnapps from the nearby distillery. It's just a shame that they have to close at the end of the year if they can't find a successor.

Very typical pub restaurant, the lady who served us did not speak English but made an effort to make herself understood and advise us. Good, genuine food, normal portions. Excellent beer!!

Guys, you're looking for a suitable way to refresh yourself after a nice hike on Lake Constance. Google makes it possible, and hey presto, we ended up at the “Alte Post” on the way home. Direct hit! Quaint restaurant, super nice service and delicious food. Plus a great price-performance ratio. So if you don't necessarily want to dine directly on the lake and want to eat something good for little money, this is the right place for you. Thumbs up for the “Alte Post”, we will recommend you. Small, quaint restaurant with an outdoor area. The waiter was very nice and tried hard. The food was freshly prepared and tasted excellent. The portion size was absolutely sufficient. The bill was served in a small "treasure box" with toffees for dessert. A highlight! Great value for money!

Friendly host, fine food, also came very quickly. Large portions (especially for the little ones ;-) Atmosphere is "pub-like", but absolutely ok. Good price/performance ratio

A small, cozy "village inn". Very surprising: the diverse range of dishes, and above all the quality! A chef who gives everything and a service for which you can only give an “A”!

Die Schnitzel werden frisch zubereitet, man hört, dass der Koch sie klopft. Auch die Bratkartoffeln sind frisch zubereitet, wir haben zugeschaut , als sie geschnitten wurden. Das Essen (wir hatten Schnitzel und Cordon Bleu mit Bratkartoffeln) war sehr gut und ausreichend. Der Beilagensalat war mit frisch geraspelten Karotten, Radieschen, Gurken, Tomaten…. Sehr nette Bedienung! Okay, die Inneneinrichtung ist in die Jahre gekommen. Es ist halt keine schicke micky Lokation für Touristen mit Anspruch, sondern eine „ehrliche, alte „ Dorfkneipe

Nur fertiges Essen, nichts selbstgemachtes oder frisches, Bedienung schaut drei mal und lässt dennoch die leeren Gläser stehen, ohne zu fragen, ob man evtl. Noch etwas möchte. Wer weniger Anspruchsvoll ist und auch aufetaute und aufgewärmte Speisen mag macht hier nichts falsch, allen anderen rate ich ab

Gut bürgerliche Küche, lecker, gutes Preis- Leistungsverhältnis. Sehr aufmerksame Chefin, die immer gut gelaunt ist. Immer wieder gerne!

Waren bisher in jedem Urlaub hier zum Essen und bisher auch immer zufrieden. Dieses Jahr fanden wir allerdings, das die Portionen immer kleiner werden. Essen ist nach wie vor sehr lecker und frisch, nur wirklich satt wird man leider nicht mehr! Schade

Eine urige kleine Kneipe mit kleinem Biergarten. Der Spargel war sehr lecker, das panierte Schnitzel auch. Preislich auch völlig in Ordnung. Wir kommen immer wieder gerne hier essen.

Der Gastwirt war sehr höflich. Warum nur leider 4 Sterne, ich fand leider die Portion etwas klein. Geschmacklich war das aber wirklich sehr lecker. Gaststube war sehr sauber. Toilette war auch etwas zu bemängeln. Aber sonst gab es nichts zu bemängeln.

Hab dort abends ein Jägerschnitzel vergernussferkelt. Das essen war sehr gelungen.

Essen ist gut aber zu wenig. Beilagen ist viel zu wenig. Uriger, sehr kleiner Gastraum

Essen war lecker. Der einzige Nachteil ist, dass hier nur Seniorenteller serviert werden. Satt kann man hier nur werden, wenn man eine Vorspeise bzw. eine Nachspeise wie z.b. den Kaiserschmarrn dazu bestellt.

Ausgezeichnetes Essen, sehr nette und freundliche Bedienung, sehr gemütliche Atmosphäre, sehr gutes Preis-Leistungsverhältnis. Alles bestens, wir kommen sehr gerne wieder.

Wir waren heute zum ersten Mal dort essen. Der Kellner war zuvorkommend und versuchte alle Wünsche zu erfüllen. Wir bestellten Jägerschnitzel mit Bratkartoffeln und kleinem Beilagensalat. Es schmeckte sehr lecker. Die Portion hätte ein wenig größer sein können. Der krönende Abschluss bildete der Kaiserschmarrn mit Apfelmus. Dieser war lecker und eine super Portion. Preis - Leistung war echt okay und wir haben uns wohl gefühlt.

Schöner kleiner Biergarten mit leckerem Essen. Die Bedienung ist sehr zuvorkommend und freundlich. Die Schnitzel sind eine Spezialität des Hauses und schmecken sehr gut. Die Beilagensalate sind übersichtlich, schmecken aber gut. Ein gutbürgerliches Lokal ohne viel Schnickschnack. Wir würden beim nächsten Urlaub am Bodensee wieder kommen.

Gemütliches Lokal, toller Service. Essen Lecker. Spareribs könnten noch etwas saftiger sein, die Sauce hat es ausgeglichen.

Das Essen war gut aber wir haben über 1 Stunde warten müssen. Wir waren nur zu zweit. Familien die nach uns gekommen sind, bekamen das Essen vor uns. Eine Erklärung wurde uns nicht gegeben. ek

Die Kellnerinnen sind sehr nett und das Essen ist gut. Wir sind mit Hund draußen gesessen und ihm wurde sofort Wasser angeboten.

Wir sind sehr freundlich empfangen worden. Das Essen gut bürgerlich und frisch, jedoch könnten die portionen etwas größer sein, wer einen bärenhunger mitbringt muss noch einen Kaiserschmarrn essen, sehr zum empfehlen! Vl 2 oder 3 Euro draufschlagen dann werden auch die Männer satt. Natürlich könnte man aus dem Biergarten mehr machen, aber das Essen macht es wieder gut!!

On y mange super bien. Restaurant tranquille.

Leider nur 3 Sterne. Bestellt habe ich Spare-Ribs mit Rosmarin Kartoffeln und BBQ Sauce. Statt der BBQ Sauce wurde irgend ein Knoblauch-Gemüse Mix vorgesetzt. Auf Nachfrage wusste nicht mal der Kellner, wie BBQ Sauce aussieht. Die Ribs waren ok
