We've been here several times now to eat and relax at the "Kiosk Mainasicht". So it's time to write something. It's a nice, simple but charming kiosk. We sat in the garden, in the kiosk and also on the "terrace" at the front. The service is attentive and friendly. Our food was delicious and we can recommend the following dishes; - Grill plate with fries, tzatziki and salad. - Fish plate with boiled potatoes - Currywurst with fries - Börek filled with cheese, tzatziki and Salad garnish The price/performance ratio is ok! What more could you want! 👍

Delicious food with a view of the lake. The waitresses were all very nice and helpful. We were even allowed to recharge my bike battery as a matter of course. Price-performance ratio fits. Don't be irritated by the simple building. The food is much tastier than we know from Kioken.

On every vacation we spent in Unteruhldingen we visited the Main Lookout kiosk. This evening we were there again. Absolute recommendation with a fantastic view of Lake Constance. Very good food, especially the whitefish fish dish with potato salad and the grilled plate are highly recommended. It's a smaller menu, which I personally think is great. The price/performance ratio is perfectly fine. We paid 61 euros for 2 people plus drinks. Thank you for the great service. The waiter was very friendly and accommodating!

I was there with my girlfriend on Saturday at 5 p.m. because my girlfriend isn't from here and I just wanted to show her something very special and what can I say she was thrilled, the food was super tasty and the atmosphere and view was a dream, very nice service I would go back with her in a heartbeat, thank you for the lovely relaxing evening. We have been coming here for years and eating here, except for the day off, 10 days. I can't understand bad reviews! Everything fresh, great service. If everything fits, we check regularly. We can only recommend the kiosk.

This kiosk probably has the most beautiful view in the country! And an attractive offer, consisting of food (hearty, cake) as well as souvenirs of all kinds. Indoor and outdoor areas. Very good, friendly service.

We happened to arrive at a restaurant that is probably the best in the area! Helpful and kind owner, The best dishes we've eaten so far on the trip - both for adults (fish platter and cheese cigarettes - wow!) and for children (the nuggets, spaghetti in London - the kids licked their fingers). It was delicious, pleasant, located on the shore of the lovely lake, enjoyable and worth an excellent review! Thank you, we will definitely be back again!

Underground... Never again!!! Staff/Owner??? Is completely overwhelmed and can't keep up with the assumption. Totally unfriendly. There was hair in my salad with fish, after I showed it to the waiter he just shrugged his shoulders... Why does the “bartender” stick his nose into every water glass (filled only with water) before it goes to the guests? We always enjoyed staying with the old owners...

Don't understand the previous reviews! The service was subpar and slammed the plates on the table without you knowing which dish the salad or fries belonged to. Overwhelmed when asked. Even though we were sitting at the table with strangers, they were unable to give us a separate bill. Completely annoyed. Food - sometimes looked better than it was. Ok - you eat at a kiosk. But a few pieces of breaded fish with sticky fries is not worth 16.50 euros. The salad, although very lush, is drowning in mayonnaise. The location and the view are nice, but the hectic surroundings don't allow for relaxation. In the end, there are no convincing sanitary facilities either.

A regular guest in Unteruhldingen again this year. The host, food and location are absolutely great. Harun in particular impressed us very much with his friendly and open manner. Great ambience and delicious food. The landlord and his team are just as great as the atmosphere. Unfortunately it's no longer an insider tip, so reserve in good time.

The fish was great, the schnitzel was a bit dry but still delicious! The staff was friendly and the location right on the lake was very idyllic

Ich bin zufällig daran vorbeigekommen und spontan eingekehrt. Die Lage mit Blick auf den See unter Bäumen ist phänomenal. Die Bedingung war freundlich und schnell trotz vieler Gäste. Ich hatte nur ein Alkoholfreies Radler und einen Salat mit Tunfisch. Der Salat war super. Frisch und alles gut aufeinander abgestimmt. Die Menge war für den Preis mehr als genug. War sehr zufrieden

There's not much to complain about about the food, 4 stars would be normal. But you can only pay in cash, hence only 3 stars. I find that quite questionable.

I just popped in spontaneously at the end of the day and, despite the fact that I was already getting up/coming off work, I still got a currywurst with fries to take away. I find it very nice and attentive

Sehr gemütlich zum drinnen sitzen mit Blick auf den See (es hat geregnet als wir da waren). Ganz tolles, aufmerksames Personal. Das Essen war super und reichlich. Und das auch für den kleinen Geldbeutel. Wir kommen auf jeden Fall wieder 😊

Actually the word “kiosk” is wrong here. It is rather a small but very good restaurant. Fish plates and chicken skewers are highly recommended and the view of the Mainau is great

We've been coming here to eat at Pentecost for years and are always thrilled because it tastes great and the staff is very friendly...

You can't see it from the outside. But once you sit down, it's great.

With motorboat or sailing ship at the buoy of the Knoblauch sailing school. Boat taxi garlic… and then perfect food (including fish) with a very pleasant atmosphere! WOMAN/MAN have to test it. Worth it👍😋

Were there today (May 7th, 2024) with our 2 small children and immediately got a place by the lake :-) Restaurant was half full. The nice gentleman from the service is extremely quick and on the ball. During our 1.5 hour stay he always had a smile and never once changed his expression, which has become quite rare these days! He didn't need a notepad, he memorized it. Really TOP! The food came to the table quickly and was super tasty. Absolute recommendation. Food top! Service top! Deserved 5 stars!

On May 1st, at 25°C, we had a nice evening sitting in the garden with a view of the lake. Don't let the name "Kiosk" put you off. Lamb skewer and börek in a large and delicious version.

The view is fantastic, great service, unobtrusive, competent and very friendly! Tried various dishes and everything was of very good quality and tasted great. We'd love to come back!

We really enjoy coming. The food is very good, the prices are reasonable. Nice boss and nice staff. And a great view of the lake. Fish, steaks, salads, side dishes and currywurst. Everything perfect. We will be back.

At first glance it's a simple kiosk. We were surprised at what kind of food was on offer and, in addition to 2x currywurst fries for the children, we decided on 1x char, which we wanted to share. With this portion an extra plate with a small side salad was brought so that fish and potatoes could be divided onto it. I've never experienced anything like this before. Really great!!! The food was really tasty, the fish was excellently prepared and the fries and currywurst were also really good. Absolute recommendation and, with the cold wind around Easter, a really good place to eat right by the water without freezing to death.

Great restaurant, great service and a breathtaking location! We will dine here again and again. The portions are really big and the prices are reasonable. The waitress and the owner are always there to help wherever possible, quickly and attentively. And zero intrusive

It's nice to sit outside, in this case under a chestnut tree with a view of the lake. Steak price is acceptable, but: Juicy, with a firm crust, absolute class and better than others, some of which cost twice as much. Perfect! There are also good fries and the salad is fresh too. Clear recommendation!

Quite surprisingly, the kiosk was open on the 3rd of Advent. The catered winter garden was nice and warm. The guests' food looked very good. A little insider tip. Anytime.

As of September 2023: Still recommended. Menu including schnitzel, fish, fries, Chevapcici, beers, wines, coffee, etc. Very romantic location, great view. A little old, but absolutely fine for a kiosk. An acceptable toilet facility is also available. You can sit outside or inside, there is a small menu with simple dishes.

We love eating at Kenan! We have always eaten very well and everyone is very friendly and accommodating! Is a clear recommendation for anyone who wants to eat very well in Unteruhldingen!

Eine super coole Lokation mit einem super Angebot an Speisen. Gaaaaaanz besonders das Steak (mein persönlicher Favorit) ist zu Empfehlen, aber das Essen ist durchweg spitze und die Preise sind angemessen.

Ideal für einen Zwischenstopp mit dem Fahrrad. Leckerer Fisch und Speisen. Sucht auf den Bodensee.

Waren hier zu einer Hochzeitsfeier. Sehr schönes Lokal, direkt am Wasser und mit schöner Sicht auf die Insel Meinau. Sehr gemütlich, sehr nette und aufmerksame Bedienung, sehr leckeres Essen. Haben uns erst gewundert, dass die Hochzeitsfeier an einem "Kiosk" stattfindet, aber wir wurden schnell überzeugt! Schöner hätten wir es uns nicht vorstellen können. Danke für den wunderschönen Tag!

Ich würde 6 Sterne geben wenn ich könnte;) Mega liebe Bedienung. Das Essen war der Hammer. Haben 5 Gerichte gegessen die super lecker waren. Preis/ Leistung ist unschlagbar, gerne wieder!

Inkl. Blick auf den Bodensee. Kiosk ist untertrieben, ist schon eher eine Terrassengaststätte. Der Besitzer der uns bediente war sehr nett. Das Essen ist für den Preis vergleichsweise gut bzw., den anderen einen 1 Schritt voraus. Essen sind gute Portionen und schmeckt auch sehr gut. Preise noch human. Der Chef hat alles richtig gemacht.. weiter so, dann klingelt die Kasse auch. 👍 Ambiente ist auch ganz ok. Sehr empfehlenswert.

Wir waren das erste mal dort essen und es war echt super. Wir sind auf Empfehlung von bekannten die in der nähe wohnen hin. Als ich es von außen gesehen habe dachte ich mir was für ein heruntergekommenes Etablissement. Wir sind schon oft vorbeigefahren aber gerade wegen des ersten Eindrucks von außen haben wir nie angehalten. Parkplätze sind wirklich nicht viele gerade mal 2 stück. Wir sind innen gesessen da es geregnet hat. Es gibt sicher Restaurants die ein schöneres Ambiente haben aber das ist Geschmacksache. Wir würden sehr schnell bedient und das Essen kam auch zügig. Ich kann euch sagen es war sehr sehr lecker. Die Portionen waren reichlich. Angerichtet war es jetzt nicht besonders schön aber es war ok. Was nützt mir ein wunderschön angerichtet es Teller wenn das Essen kalt ist oder nicht schmeckt. Auch die Bedienungen waren richtig auf Zack, kein Teller oder Glas blieb lange leer auf dem Tisch stehen. Wir haben uns mit einem Paar aus der Schweiz unterhalten und mitbekommen das dass lokal mehr oder weniger als Geheimtipp gilt. Der Ausblick direkt auf den See ist natürlich der Knaller. Alles in allem war es ein gelungener Abend. Ich kann es nur weiterempfehlen.

Der beste Spot am Bodensee. Manches Restaurant kann da nicht mithalten. Und vor allem "normale " Menschen die Geselligkeit lieben.

Ci siamo fermati per pranzo abbiamo preso una birra e un piatto di filetti di pesce ( trota, luccio, coregone) molto buono. Servizio veloce vista bellissima sul lago.

Wir haben den Mittagstisch im Kiosk Mainausicht heute genossen. Der Saibling mit Kartoffeln, sowie der Fischteller hat sehr gut geschmeckt. Die Bedienung war sehr zuvorkommend und hat sich das Essen, sowie Getränke von 10 Personen einfach merken können. Es hat alles gepasst, wir kommen wieder.

Schade, trotz Reservierung vierzehn Tage vorher und der Bitte uns einen schönen Tisch zu geben wurden wir im Eingangsbereich direkt am Durchgang platziert. Das Essen....nun ja sagen wir es mal so, es gibt einige Lokale im gleichen Preissegment die es besser machen und wo man auch gemütlicher sitzt. Es ist eben die tolle Aussicht, aber das andere muss auch einfach stimmen. Der Fischteller war nicht schön angerichtet aber okay, die Cevapcici waren kleine harte Rollen, die nicht lecker waren. Kein Salat dabei, alles extra. Nein, wir kommen nicht wieder.

Sehr nette Leute, gutes solides Essen zu fairen Preisen. Der Ausblick ist super, das Restaurant ist alles okay, das drumherum könnte schöner sein. Aber dafür kann der Besitzer nix. Kläre Empfehlung!!

Superfreundliche Bedienung. Sehr gutes Preis-Leistungs-Verhältnis. Egal ob Cevapcici, Spaghetti oder Fisch, das Essen ist top. Tolle Aussicht über den Bodensee zur Insel Mainau.

Wir besuchten das Restaurant mit 8 Personen und wurden sehr freundlich empfangen. Der Fischteller (19.90.-) war sehr gross und hat wunderbar geschmeckt. Auch das Pfefferrahmschnitzel (16.50.-) war super. Das Personal ist sehr freundlich und aufmerksam. Wir werden sicher wieder kommen. Alles bestens.

Wir haben in Unteruhldingen gewohnt. Auf dem Heimweg von vielen Ausflügen machten wir oft Halt am Kiosk. Wir haben immer einen Tisch bekommen. Der Fischteller war super lecker. Bedienung sehr freundlich. Parkplätze sind nicht vorhanden. Man kommt zu Fuß oder mit dem Rad.
