Very impressive and took me back to my childhood

How cool is that? Such an awesome restaurant. Eating like mom’s. Everything is just right here. We'll be back. Thanks to the girls who served us.

You feel like you've been transported to old Russia, the folkloristic original decoration, the pictures, the excellent traditional cuisine... And on the way to the toilet, "Nu pogadi" and old Russian fairy tale films are playing on a television... The employees are super nice, the service 1a. Thanks!

Very good service and great food. Real experience

We had Blinys and Solenie as starters, sauerkraut soup and pelmeni for the main course, and Vareniki for dessert. There were five of us here and we all enjoyed it very much. I can't judge whether the original dishes in Eastern Europe might taste different. I just don't have the experience for that. But we can judge the service, it was friendly and competent, the atmosphere was homely, and we were particularly impressed by the furnishings.

We had to queue to get a seat in the beer garden. Although there were enough seats available inside and outside.

We had such a delicious lunch that we went back for dinner the same evening. Everything was great, we'll be back - thank you, dear team

Excellent and original Russian culinary (my wife is Russian is she told me everything was delicious). The atmosphere, although affecting a bit by the kitsch decor, is really good. The service is courteous and efficient, but the hosting at the entrance deserves some improvement.

Quaint Russian restaurant and café in the middle of the Russian colony Alexandrowka. Friendly service, tasty original Russian dishes, sweets and drinks at fair prices. A real enrichment in Potsdam for years.

Something delicious and very cozy, but also totally authentic. The service was very friendly and accommodating, which was a dream for me as an allergy sufferer - there is a lot of gluten-free food.

This place serves super tasty, authentic Russian food and is located in a beautiful old county house. The food was great, and the service was decent. I had a delicious stew served in a clay pot, paired with a fantastic piece of bread. They even offered some old-fashioned Russian beer, which was a fun addition. I highly recommend checking this spot out for a unique dining experience!

Authentic cuisine at low prices. A must when you are in Potsdam. I. Summer also outdoor dining, very lovingly furnished beer garden. Very special and unique!

Reservation via the homepage did not work. However, the busy restaurant was free when we arrived.

The Alexandrowka 1 restaurant is located at Russian Colony 1, 14469 Potsdam. In this respect, the aforementioned Russian restaurant is a picturesque wooden house with a garden. Pelmeni and blini as well as tea from the samovar are served here. I recently drank good beers here and ate a chicken Alexander. Both were very delicious. What a cozy and incredibly beautiful restaurant. Great service, the food tasted incredibly good and the guest rooms were lovingly decorated and cozy. We really enjoyed our time and definitely recommend the restaurant.

I've eaten in this pretty little Russian restaurant a few times now and have been very satisfied every time. An absolute highlight is the ambience - especially when you can sit outside in the summer, as you are then sitting in a small garden rather than just on a terrace. But it's also cozy inside, just a little bit cramped and since there's significantly more space outside than inside, it's worth making a reservation if you want to eat there on colder days. The staff was super friendly every time. I also really liked the selection of dishes. It's not necessarily huge, but it has everything you need and for me it was a nice surprise that things like pelmemi or beef stroganoff are also offered in vegetarian versions. But there is also a very nice selection of desserts or warm drinks if you just want to stop by for coffee and cake. But the selection of drinks is also impressive. The beer is very tasty and you simply have to try the in-house Baba Yaga liqueur. So you can easily stop by for a few drinks in a cozy atmosphere. Although the menu is a bit clearer, you can have a good time here in many different ways. The prices are a little higher, but still justified and due to the good location close to the city center, the restaurant is also suitable for tourists who want to explore Potsdam away from the city center or as a place to go when you visit has.

Very cozy restaurant, delicious dishes that you should try 😉

The food was very overpriced and plain. My stroganoff for €19.90 had exactly five very small potatoes (there was no sign of rosemary) and a child's portion of sauce with meat. The waitress had no chance in the kitchen! The salad plate was also very over-seasoned!

Lovely restaurant/bar in the Russian Quarter in Potsdam. Full of memorabilia belonging to Russian iconography. We eat well. A good refreshment point

Walking by we decided to have a lunch. We were seated by young waiter, who was very nice and helpfull. He suggested what to eat, tried to talk english (he was speaknig german or russian), but it was all understandable. Meals were perfection, ambient like grandmas garden. Prices ok. Wonderful experience and lunch!

Great experience with Russian beer, Russian food and Russian vodka!

Too many or too young children are undesirable! The age of the children is requested in the contact form when making the reservation. Our first reservation was rejected because the restaurant was fully booked. During the second reservation without specifying the children, a place was suddenly available and it was even possible to increase the number of people from 3 to 4. If children of a certain age or too many children in one day are not desired, you should simply communicate this honestly. Since we didn't want to sit outside, we were given a place in the house in the last corner, of course monitored by cameras. The owner then personally pointed out to us that the children had not been declared and that we should pay attention to this in the future. When asked why this was so important to him, since the children didn't take up more space, he couldn't give an answer. The statement was simply "we want to know." Yes, then just say that too many children or children of a certain age are not desirable. There would be less of a problem with this statement than being blatantly lied to. Honest takes the longest. Food was okay, but not great.

A very Russian inspired menu on offer here full of authentic German food in the heart of the Russian Quarter. We cane here for the cakes but ended up sampling a few other dishes as well. Our table managed to get through the honey cake, apple pie, milchreiss, ice cream cake, berry dumplings, the okrashka and the incredible Ukrainian bortsch. It is all very high standard. Even the coffee was excellent. Service was fantastic, as are the surroundings. Worth a visit, either for cake and coffee or a full meal....just don't leave without trying the bortsch......

The owner was very rude to the lady who advertised her dish. He approached her table, raised his voice and said that the dish was fresh, she was wrong, etc. I do not recommend.

It's a beautiful authentic Russian resturante. We sat in the outside area. This is very well maintained and literally invites you to relax. The menu leaves nothing to be desired when it comes to authentic Russian dishes. The food was consistently excellent. Personally, I can recommend the deer ragout. The service took a little long, but was consistently friendly. Can only recommend a visit.!!

This “restaurant” smells like a Soviet public canteen still in the parking lot. Chefs have a very dubious idea about borscht and chicken Kiev. Dumplings - a frozen store-bought semi-finished product, shish kebab, along the way, meowed yesterday.

The present, as in childhood and youth - the sight, taste and aroma of food and drinks... a good selection of music, small things around bring back memories and create comfort. As they say, the soul unfolds and does not collapse... pies, dumplings, dumplings, borscht and solyanka, vodka with lard and pickles, tea from a samovar, fruit juice... dinner turned out just right! We highly recommend it and will come again.

We had lunch at the Aleksandrovka restaurant on one of the warm summer days. Tables were only offered outside. The restaurant area is very beautiful. Everything is done in the old Russian style. Music from previous years is playing. The menu corresponds to Russian-Ukrainian cuisine. We tried borscht, meat solyanka, Siberian dumplings, meat plate, and pickles. Everything was delicious !!!

Our lunch was very tasty. We sat comfortably in the garden. The employees are very nice. I can recommend it very well.

A nice restaurant right in the middle of the entire Alexandrowka colony, only open from 12 p.m. Small Russian accessories scattered around the garden. Nice service, you can also get small souvenirs in the entrance of the house (Russian fairy tale book, matryoshka...).

The ambience was very nice, you could sit outside or inside. The house is reminiscent of a witch's house, almost like in the Harz Mountains. There is a TV corner for younger guests where they can watch a film. Unfortunately, the food took some getting used to: some dishes tasted good, others not so much. I'm not sure if I would go again. The staff was very friendly. I can particularly recommend the piroshok, which tasted good, and the semolina porridge for dessert was also really tasty.

We were lucky: After a short tour of the colony, we were able to visit the restaurant on a Saturday lunchtime and treat ourselves. The weather was good, so we were happy to have a spot in the garden. We were in the mood for a main course portion of vegetarian borscht as well as the wonderful venison ragout with croquettes and red cabbage. The soup was much too small, but this was less due to the volume in the cup and more due to the extremely delicious taste; I immediately wanted more. The venison ragout was equally delicious and the portion was just right. There, too, there was quality instead of quantity, so there was also room for one of the wonderful semolina desserts with fruit sauce. The menu is quite extensive and offers something interesting for everyone. Whether meatless, fish or meat: you have to be able to decide; It's not about the choice... On the drinks side we found continental classics as well as delicious specialties; We particularly liked the pear lemonade. However, we found it quite difficult to decide on a drink here too; the interesting selection makes a return visit absolutely necessary. The staff was extremely hard-working, quick, very friendly and very attentive. We also received our ordered dishes and drinks within a short time, despite a very busy lunchtime business. Everything seemed well organized and clean. The dishes that were carried past us were the best advertisement for the house - every plate made our mouths water as we watched. Anyone who visits Alexandrowka 1 should be prepared for a few small special features. You are still seated here - but the table is ready, clean and prepared for the next guest. Benches and tables in the outdoor area are firmly connected to each other; So when you eat, you have to be a little more careful that it ends up in your mouth and not on your stomach. But that should also be the case elsewhere. The wooden benches are solid, and it is wood. If you would like to sit more comfortably, you should not refuse the request for a pillow when greeting you; otherwise it will soon become more uncomfortable. In the outdoor area there are numerous decorative corners with a Russian-like atmosphere; Even the bicycle with a samovar in front of the restaurant attracts attention. There are also a few bee colonies that guests can watch at work; The view can wander from time to time and always finds interesting moments. All in all, we enjoyed a surprisingly nice, pleasant and enjoyable lunch time that would make us rave about it even later. No question: it wasn't our last visit!

As a couple, we ordered 1 Pino Grigio, which was well tempered. Also 1 bottle. Russian beer which was also OK. The service was very attentive. The beef strogananoff was completely wrong. The meat was of poor quality, tough and hardly edible and ultimately led to a moderate stomach upset, which could also be caused by the possibly spoiled sauce. Of course we asked the waitress about it. But unfortunately no response or demand from the kitchen. The Cossack pot, on the other hand, was ok in my opinion. Conclusion: unfortunately not recommended.

The food is special and unusual. We had 5 different dishes and were all satisfied. The waitresses are attentive and very nice. We'd love to come back.

It's impossible to eat enough of it, the portions are very small, Ukrainian borscht soup without beans 6 euros, one pancake and some salmon only 16 euros, I left hungry... The herbal lemonade tastes like a cheap orangeade with food coloring, I don't recommend it unfortunately

Very nice restaurant with delicious dishes

The three of us were having dinner on Mother's Day and immediately found a place in the garden. The food was delicious, both my baked chicken with wild mushrooms, my wife's salmon omelette and my daughter's vegan dish. Together with the nice service, I can only recommend it.
