Super friendly and helpful staff – a young, motivated team – a lovely ambiance, the beer garden – a place to unwind. Delicious food, generous portions, and it's very rare to find a buffet with such fresh salads in a restaurant. After our first visit, we returned three days later, this time not quite as hungry. The warm appetizer platter for two is ideal and very plentiful. Highly recommend this restaurant!

Very friendly and attentive service. Even the dog got his bowl of water without us having to ask. We received a carafe of ouzo and water before we ordered. The appetizer platter was very generous and varied. It included the typical dishes, such as tarama and feta cheese dip, grilled vegetables like eggplant and peppers, dalmadakia, baked dumplings with various fillings, and pickled beans. It wasn't a problem at all when we ordered a grilled platter for two people for three guests. And even the three of us couldn't finish it all. On each of my visits, they always offered to pack the leftovers. All the dishes, including the dessert, are very attractively presented. Lovely ambiance, whether inside or outside. We'd be happy to come back!

This was our first time back at Alexandros since the change of ownership. We were very curious to see how the restaurant had changed or stayed the same. We were truly pleasantly surprised. Upon arrival, you receive a small carafe of ouzo. The menu offers a wide variety of meat and fish dishes, appetizers, gratinettes, pan-fried dishes, vegetarian dishes, etc., and there's always a salad at the salad bar, with a manageable but perfectly adequate selection. The staff was always very friendly and attentive. We didn't have to wait long for our drinks or food, and we were asked several times in a friendly manner if everything was OK. This definitely makes you feel more at home as a guest. The only minor drawback, in my opinion, would be the price of a bottle of water at €7. I find this a bit expensive. However, the prices of the other drinks and dishes are fair, and the value for money is good. Nevertheless, we were really satisfied and are already planning our next visit to the Alexandros restaurant. 👍🏻

If you're passing through from Hamburg to the south, or are simply nearby, this restaurant is highly recommended. Friendly staff, you get a small carafe of ouzo on your table, the food arrives at just the right time, and you get boxes for leftovers! We'd be happy to go back anytime!

We went to Alexandros Restaurant for a birthday dinner with the whole family, including the children, and we were absolutely thrilled. The food was excellent, freshly prepared, and tastefully prepared—a delight for all ages. The service was very friendly, attentive, and warm, even with our larger group. We ate there today (May 25, 2025) for the first time since the new owners took over. First, I'd like to mention the incredibly attentive staff! I've rarely experienced anything like it. A clear 5/5. The quality of the food was also really excellent! There were three of us, and everyone was very satisfied with their (various) orders. We'd love to come back! And at this point, I'd also like to say "thank you" to the team. Keep up the good work, fantastic!

The service was exceptionally good and very attentive – the staff were always friendly and helpful. Some of the food was delicious, but overall it could have been a bit hotter. The bifteki, in particular, was very tasty and well-seasoned. The souvlaki, however, was unfortunately quite tough, and the garlic potatoes were a bit too greasy and also not quite warm. Despite these minor flaws, the visit was overall positive, and I would gladly return if I had the chance.

Had 2 dishes to take away. The quality of the food was good, the quantity was sufficient but not too much. The side salad is more of a joke in terms of quantity. Salad isn't the most expensive ingredient in the dishes, so annoying the customer isn't exactly smart

New operator - new menu! We were there with a larger group for the first time after the change of operator! The ambience is unchanged, the service is attentive and friendly! The menu is extensive and the portions are huge! Gyros, suflaki, liver and the like were very tasty - the side dishes of fries and garlic potatoes weren't entirely convincing. In particular, I cannot recommend the pasta in the children's meals. But we would still like to come back and try other dishes.

Four of us had dinner at Alexandros. We felt very comfortable, the restaurant has a pleasant and modern atmosphere and everyone also enjoyed the food. We had different main courses with gyros, prawns and suflaki with side dishes (fries/garlic potatoes). The team is attentive, friendly and quick when it comes to taking orders and serving food and drinks. Sometimes it can be a little more thoughtful and, for example, let everyone at the table eat first. Having leftover portions packed up is no problem. It is important that the coffee machine works again, but unfortunately it was broken during our visit. We'd love to come back!

Food is really, really bad. Swims in fat and the meat tastes better at McDonalds. It's a shame we were disappointed. This no longer has anything to do with old Alexandros. I cannot recommend a visit. The prices are also very proud.

Due to my assembly work, I was in this mega restaurant for the first time today. From the welcome, service and the “little” :-) Ouzo in advance, everything was great. But then came the appetizer. Saganaki very nicely prepared and very tasty and not too dry as is often the case. Then came the gyros/calamari plate. Insanely delicious calamari, perfect in terms of taste and craftsmanship, gyros also very tasty and fresh. The garlic fried potatoes are a dream. When I'm in the area again I'll definitely come by again. Price/performance very very good. Keep it up.

Very good food, very well seasoned and prepared, the meat was not fried but tender and juicy. The portions were also very generous. From the starters to the dessert, a great meal - I don't know of a better Greek restaurant in the region. The service was very nice and courteous, always present and never intrusive. And the constant refilling of ouzo was also a highlight, something I had never seen before. All in all, a full recommendation, We'll definitely go there again soon!

Unfortunately I was absolutely disappointed. Unfortunately, my Bifteki Special was very dry and there was definitely no feta in it. The pig was killed twice. Absolutely no comparison to its predecessor! Communicating with the waitress was also a bit difficult. On the positive side, we got a carafe of ouzo on the house to start with. Maybe we'll give it another chance. It was a real shame!

My suflaki was great. On the accompanying plate was frozen broccoli and Dutch sauce. So everything is “fresh” out of the bag. Unfortunately, this has nothing to do with cooking. And not with Greece either. Map way too big. Always creates an uneasy feeling. Good cuisine doesn't need a big menu. Mediterranean vegetables or cuisine would have been nice. Using garlic was brave and a real joy for me. The ouzo at the table was also well received. All in all, there is still potential for improvement.

I spontaneously stopped at Alexandros yesterday and ordered takeaway food. The service was really nice and accommodating. However, I cannot understand the rave reviews regarding the food. The gyros looked like pan gyros from a discount store and tasted like them too. The bifteki was totally over-seasoned and extremely dry. But at least I could use it to soak up the fat from the gyro. The souflaki was similarly over-seasoned, dry and hard. The fries were edible, but also very clear. The side salad, I'm really at a loss for words. You quickly throw cabbage and lettuce out of the bucket into a bowl, place a pepperoni and olive on top and then briefly add a few drops of dressing. All in all, I will eat at Alexandros again if I need a reason not to work the next day.

We had booked a table at 6:30 p.m. and were there on time. We were free to choose the table. After more than thirty minutes someone came and we were finally able to order drinks and, just to be on the safe side, food too. Two tables that ordered after us received their starters before us! After asking our side several times, we were told that the starter we ordered was no longer available. (The tables that ordered after us received exactly this starter). Now more than 70 minutes had passed and we energetically asked about the main course because we were there as a family and our child was really hungry. The children's dish then came and we discovered that the Suzuki (Mett) was raw inside. The service (we now had at least three contacts) apologized for the collective failure. I couldn't hear it anymore. We then left. You can definitely not recommend the restaurant. I have never seen worse service than there. The previous owner Alexandros never had such poor service!

Unfortunately, the service is subpar... the employees apologize several times, but unfortunately no solutions are offered. We couldn't try the food because it didn't come. However, tables that came after us already had their food. Just picking up the drinks and bringing the menu took 40 minutes. We asked 5 times for our starter because the starter was served at other tables that came after us. Unfortunately for us it was over. When at least the food for our child came after 1 1/2, it was undercooked and partly raw. We then left... Very unfortunate. More communication from employees towards guests would be desirable.

The starters were a hit, the dishes were also very tasty and salad from the media counter. OK Here you can sit and linger outside and is suitable for a bike stop.
