Unfortunately I was absolutely disappointed. Unfortunately, my Bifteki Special was very dry and there was definitely no feta in it. The pig was killed twice. Absolutely no comparison to its predecessor! Communicating with the waitress was also a bit difficult. On the positive side, we got a carafe of ouzo on the house to start with. Maybe we'll give it another chance. It was a real shame!

In a word, great. If you are in the area you must visit here.

Went to the Alexandros restaurant for lunch today. Very tasty, friendly service and a very nice garden with a covered outdoor area and playground for children. We liked it very much.

No comparison to the previous one, instead of coleslaw, sauerkraut was stuffed and the meat was very rubbery. A pity

My suflaki was great. On the accompanying plate was frozen broccoli and Dutch sauce. So everything is “fresh” out of the bag. Unfortunately, this has nothing to do with cooking. And not with Greece either. Map way too big. Always creates an uneasy feeling. Good cuisine doesn't need a big menu. Mediterranean vegetables or cuisine would have been nice. Using garlic was brave and a real joy for me. The ouzo at the table was also well received. All in all, there is still potential for improvement.

We had booked a table at 6:30 p.m. and were there on time. We were free to choose the table. After more than thirty minutes someone came and we were finally able to order drinks and, just to be on the safe side, food too. Two tables that ordered after us received their starters before us! After asking our side several times, we were told that the starter we ordered was no longer available. (The tables that ordered after us received exactly this starter). Now more than 70 minutes had passed and we energetically asked about the main course because we were there as a family and our child was really hungry. The children's dish then came and we discovered that the Suzuki (Mett) was raw inside. The service (we now had at least three contacts) apologized for the collective failure. I couldn't hear it anymore. We then left. You can definitely not recommend the restaurant. I have never seen worse service than there. The previous owner Alexandros never had such poor service!

Just completely satisfied. Without words. Just perfect. It was worth the 50km journey. Exemplary...can only be recommended.

Unfortunately, the service is subpar... the employees apologize several times, but unfortunately no solutions are offered. We couldn't try the food because it didn't come. However, tables that came after us already had their food. Just picking up the drinks and bringing the menu took 40 minutes. We asked 5 times for our starter because the starter was served at other tables that came after us. Unfortunately for us it was over. When at least the food for our child came after 1 1/2, it was undercooked and partly raw. We then left... Very unfortunate. More communication from employees towards guests would be desirable.

I spontaneously stopped at Alexandros yesterday and ordered takeaway food. The service was really nice and accommodating. However, I cannot understand the rave reviews regarding the food. The gyros looked like pan gyros from a discount store and tasted like them too. The bifteki was totally over-seasoned and extremely dry. But at least I could use it to soak up the fat from the gyro. The souflaki was similarly over-seasoned, dry and hard. The fries were edible, but also very clear. The side salad, I'm really at a loss for words. You quickly throw cabbage and lettuce out of the bucket into a bowl, place a pepperoni and olive on top and then briefly add a few drops of dressing. All in all, I will eat at Alexandros again if I need a reason not to work the next day.

A very nice restaurant, with a nice garden area to sit and a playground for children. Very nice, attentive, friendly staff, we were greeted with an ouzo. The starters were a hit, the dishes were also very tasty and salad from the media counter. OK Here you can sit and linger outside and is suitable for a bike stop.

New owner...and a new breath of fresh air. We were absolutely thrilled: Great service, very friendly and endless free ouzo. Delicious. Much better than before. Salad included again and finally there are olives and pepperoni as it should be! Large portions, delicious gyros, the calamari finally no longer feels like rubber...we can only recommend it without reservation! Any time! From now on our favorite Greek again!

Staff friendly, food great and plentiful, toilet clean

Neuer Besitzer ....und neuer frischer Wind. Wir waren absolut begeistert: Toller Service, sehr freundlich und Ouzo ohne Ende kostenlos. Super lecker. Viel besser als zuvor. Salat wieder incl. und endlich gibt es Oliven und Peperoni wie es sich gehört! Grosse Portionen, leckeres Gyros, die Calamari endlich nicht mehr wie Gummi....wir können nur uneingeschränkt eine Empfehlung aussprechen! Jederzeit wieder! Ab nun wieder unser Lieblings-Grieche!

Better than before, super tasty, super juicy. Had bifteki with metaxa sauce. The price is completely okay, as there is always a delicious salad...and plenty of ouzo. Very attentive service. Everyone was super friendly. We always enjoy coming back.

We had dinner at “Alexandros” with our family and cannot understand the bad reviews. It is true that it is different than the previous operator, but that does not make it fundamentally worse. The service was very friendly and attentive and the food was served quickly and quickly to all five guests at the same time. Everything was attractively arranged on the plates. The composition on the small grill plates is sometimes different to what many “Greeks” are used to, e.g. B. Gyros and liver. There was also no rice as a side dish but instead fried garlic potatoes. We were very satisfied with the deviation from the usual monotony and the quality of the food. Price-performance ratio was right for us.

We were there with friends last night. It was just great. We immediately booked a table again and would love to come back.

Since the change of operator things have only gone steeply downhill!!! Service not exactly what you would expect there. The new owner is his best customer. Don't go there anymore. We used to eat there very often. Not worth a single star anymore!!!!!

Since the change of ownership (whenever this took place) not really recommended anymore. The restaurant wasn't even really well attended (2-3 occupied tables) and it took ONE hour until the food was on the table? wow... what happens when the store is packed? Shortly before the food came we were told that we could get salad at the buffet (after we had already waited 45 minutes) The food is still good, but the service really left a lot to be desired. In the end, they didn't even issue an invoice but simply stated the amount to be paid. “Everything used to be better” is not always true, but in this case it is

Unfortunately, my last visit to this restaurant did not live up to the expectations I had based on previous experiences. It appears as though there has been a change of ownership, resulting in a noticeable change in the cuisine on offer. While the restaurant was once known for its modern Greek cuisine, today's menu is more reminiscent of the 90s. What was particularly disappointing was the very limited selection of vegetarian dishes, and vegan options were virtually non-existent. A concrete example is the vegetable platter with fries, which is offered for 16.90 euros, which in my opinion does not qualify as an appropriate main course either in terms of price or composition. I hope the restaurant takes this feedback as an opportunity to improve, especially in terms of menu variety and creativity.

Attractive, modern atmosphere. The service is attentive, very friendly and unobtrusive. The food was delicious and the price-performance ratio was good. We'd love to come back.

Unfortunately I had to delete my first review because I was accused of violating the law. Specifically, I am accused of not having been a customer at the "new" Alexandros and of having given a presumably false review. We have enjoyed Alexandro's good cuisine for 20 years, and the service has always been excellent. ...the last time we ate there was on March 9th. At the “new” Alexandros. That was probably the last time too. :(

We were regulars at the “old” Alexandros and always enjoyed dining there. The service in the “old” Alexandros was also excellent. We wanted to try the “new” Alexandros and were very disappointed. The food no longer has the quality of the “old” Alexandros. The service also leaves a lot to be desired. The main course was already brought to the table after we had just received the starter. All in all, we definitely won't stay there again for a while.

Great place! Clean and modern, great menu, food really good, staff very attentive and friendly. Prices are pleasant and reasonable, even if, like everywhere else, they have unfortunately risen sharply. But you get a decent value for your money, keep it up!

I ate there once now, after the change of ownership. Tzatziki was very good, bread too. Everything else we ate wasn't even average. It wasn't terrible either, but it was light years away from the old “Alexandros quality”.

Unfortunately, with the change of owner, something SPECIAL!!! with undressed. And the standard that you would find in a Greek restaurant. Where do I begin: The menu has been changed. It now looks like a fast food restaurant. Unfortunately there is no longer a daily menu. But you can help yourself to the salad buffet again (at no extra charge). There is ouzo first. 0.2 ml which is way too much for two people! Especially if someone still has to drive a car. Too bad! In terms of price, it's outrageously expensive (which is probably why you don't have to pay extra for the salad) and the meat is seasoned the same. Whether gyros, bifteki or zuzuki. All dishes come with garlic potatoes. It sounds interesting at first, but it ruins the rest of the meal. We had ordered a warm starter, which we hadn't finished yet, and our main course arrived. You had to decide which food should be cold now! We've loved coming here over the last few years, but after today there won't be a next time! Kudos to the previous owners and I wish you all the best for the future!

Der Besuch war nicht mehr so doll!!! - sportliche Preise, Salat nur noch als Extrabestellung - Abtrunk auf Einladung des Hauses wurde bei uns eingespart. Diese Einschätzung teilen wir mit Bekannten. Der neuen Bewirtschaftung wünschen wir viel Erfolg. Der jun. vom A. hatte in der letzten Zeit nicht so richtig die Einstellung.

After comparing the prices with other Greek restaurants, it is now the most expensive Greek restaurant in the Hildesheim district and partly beyond. €17 for a simple Giros and the salad, which is served with everyone else or can be put together by the guest at the buffet, you have to order and pay extra. So you pay around €22 for a Giros with a little salad. For other Greeks, €14.60 - €17.

Hello dear people, We were at the Alexandros restaurant in Groß Düngen near Hildesheim when the weather was quite cloudy. There was enough parking space in front of the location and the restaurant was well filled around 1 p.m. If we made a reservation in advance, we were kindly assigned a table in a visually modern atmosphere. The service was friendly and service was prompt. The drinks chosen were at a pleasant temperature and served cleanly. Salad was available at the self-service buffet (€4). There was also a gyros mix with rice and a skewer of souflaki (€20) = €24. The plate ordered was neatly presented, although the rice was quite unimaginative in taste, the gyros and the skewer souflaki were mediocre in taste, compared to the many competitors in the Hildesheim area, there is still room for improvement. As I said, the look is good and clean, but there is more to the taste. The dessert for (€6.90) was also visually good, all the other blackhead dishes were probably okay. Only the gyro mix, actually a standard menu, is rated here. Service and cleanliness were good and the price-performance ratio for the plate ordered was too expensive, even taking into account the general increases, as the taste is crucial. Nevertheless, the visit was not a disappointment and we hope that constructive criticism can be dealt with. Best regards MV

I haven't been there for several years, but yesterday we went there with the family, had reservations and everything went just perfectly. You feel really comfortable in there, the service is super nice and responds to everything, listens well, etc. You didn't even notice that it took a while for the food to arrive because the starter salad (which you have to mention when ordering) kept you busy because you can put it together yourself. I ordered the Bifteki Burger and was initially surprised at how big it was. There's no way you could eat it with your hand, but that wasn't a bad thing. It tasted super juicy and the caramelized onions gave the whole hearty dish a nice sweetness. The fries were nice and hot and in perfect condition. Not extremely crispy but still good to bite, I would say. The dip that went with it was absolutely delicious, I'm not even sure what it was but I think it was the tzatziki. I've never eaten it the way it's made there, but I'm convinced. My father and I ordered another carafe of wine liqueur. It was very edible and very sweet. After the burger I was completely full but dessert is always possible. I ordered the mascapone with cocktail fruits. The cream was delicious and fluffy and was sweet, but not too strong. Everything was perfect with the fruit and the caramel sauce.

Our recommendation when it comes to Greek food! Great dishes on the menu, lots of variety, daily specials always worth trying!

From favorite restaurant to disappointment! A pity! The ambience wasn't convincing at all today - the dining room was really cold! The food was also not of the usual quality and quantity. Just perfect! We were there for dinner with a larger group! We were greeted warmly and served surprisingly quickly. Special requests were also possible - even though it was very full. The dishes were very tasty and attractively prepared. We were particularly excited about the baked dishes! The Metaxa sauce is a hit! The ice cream is sourced from the local ice cream parlor - locally awesome! Thank you!

It's a disgrace how few fries there are at €17..

Bin zur Reha in der Nähe. Wir waren jetzt schon 2x dort und es war an beiden Tagen sehr sehr lecker, der Service unschlagbar. Sogar für einen außergewöhnlichen Scherz zu haben. Was ich besonders gut fand, das es keinen Ouzo vor dem Essen gab. Ausserdem gefällt mir die Karte sehr, sie ist anders als bei den herkömmlichen Griechen nicht so fleischlastig. TOPP! Ich empfehle das Restaurant hier in der Einrichtung jedem uneingeschränkt. Bevor ich Abreise komme ich nochmal wieder.

Wir haben uns vor den Änderungen wohler gefühlt. Leider ist der Eindruck entstanden, dass beim Essen einiges an Volumen eingespart wurde. Das wir am Ende trotz Trinkgeld auch keinen Ouzo bekommen hatten, rundet die Sache ab. Schade! Ein Vergleich in anderen Restaurants zeigt: Das muss nicht sein.

Wir waren von unserem letzten Besuch beim Griechen echt enttäuscht. Unhöflich Personal und schlechtes Essen. Heute waren wir dann hier und müssen sagen: Schon lange nicht mehr so gut gegessen und super freundliches Personal. Wir werden wieder kommen!

Wer die Bewertungen von 2017 mit den heutigen vergleicht erkennt dass es damals keine negative Kritik gab. Aber heute? Es stimmt : fades Giros, kein Salat includiert, aber eine deftige Preiserhöhung, kein Ouzo mehr , mauliges Personal und bei Kreditkartenzahlung wird die Nase gerümpft. Freundlichkeit geht anders. So kann man sich auch selbst ruinieren Alexandro war mit ❤️dabei, aber sein Sohn muss noch viel lernenes war einmal....

War sehr gespannt auf das Restaurant, es gibt ja negative, als auch positive Kritik. Meine Kritik fällt auch eher negativ aus. Der Service ist relativ aufmerksam und nett. Hatte Gyros mit Calamaris. Das Gyros war , wie das ganze Essen lauwarm, null knusprig z.t. waren noch rohe Fleischstückchen dabei. Die Calamaris hatten die Konsistenz eines Radiergummis. Als Entschuldigung hatte der Kellner zur Antwort, dass sie eben schnell kalt werden. Interessant!! TK-WARE. Auch interessant, dass ein normaler Buffet-Salat jetzt extra kostet. Auch am einfachen Ouzo, der bei jedem Griechen auf's Haus geht, wird gespart. Wenn der Laden gefüllt ist, versteht man sein Gegenüber auf 50cm Entfernung nicht mehr.

Da wir einige Vegetarier in unserer Gruppe haben, war es uns wichtig, auch für diese leckeres Essen auswählen zu können. Bei Alexandros hat das gut geklappt.

Das gute ist der wunderschöne Außenbereich und eine schnelle und freundliche Bedienung Leider keine Getränke Karte, kein Salz Pfeffer Öl Kein Hinweis das es ein Salat Buffet gibt, bei anderen Griechen bekommt man zu Fleisch Gerichten einen kleinen Salat, hier leider nicht Auch kein Hinweis das man zu trockenem souflaki keine Sauce bekommt Die Portionen sind klein Ich musste meinem Mann der calamaris mit Gyros hatte von meinem Essen etwas abgeben, er hatte sehr wenig Die calamaris waren wie im Supermarkt aus der tk gekauft Das Gyros sehr überwürzt Zwiebeln matschig Nachtisch Karte wurde auch nicht angeboten und der Griechen typische Ouzo am Ende fehlt auch Mit Trinkgeld 50 Euro für 2 Gyros Teller und 2 Bier Nicht satt und ich muss sagen enttäuscht Hatte mehr erwartet Aber der Biergarten ist wirklich schön

Wir hatten für gestern Abend eine überdachten Tisch im Biergarten reserviert. Bei Ankunft wurde uns jedoch aufgrund des eher wankelmütigen Wetters auch ein Tisch im innenbereich angeboten. Schon mal sehr zuvorkommend vom Service! Wir haben dann aber doch unser äussert leckeres Essen draussen überdacht genossen und nebenbei dann dem einsetzenden Regen gelauscht. Das Essen war geschmacklich sehr gut und der Service aufmerksam, höflich und schnell. Das Preis-Leistungsverhältnis war ebenfalls angemessen. Wir hatten einen schönen Abend und kommen gern wieder! Vielen Dank!

On a warm summer evening dining in this lovely garden is a joy . We had a delightful table under a large pine tree and our waiters were very attentive. The food was excellent ; we chose a mezzo selection starter which was spot on , and very tasty main dishes to follow some traditional and some with a nice twist . All in all we had a very nice meal and I would thoroughly recommend this restaurant.

Haben uns spontan entschieden hier essen zu gehen. Eigentlich nur mit Vorbestellung möglich. Wir haben nachgefragt und es war doch möglich, lieben Dank !!!! Essen, Bedienung und Location super . Kommen gerne wieder, damit wir noch die anderen Speisen probieren können 😁

Sehr leckeres Essen und nette Atmosphäre

Nach meiner Wahrnehmung, hat sich mein lieblings Grieche, bei dem wir viele Jahre Stammgäste waren, in der letzten Zeit verschlimmbessert. Die Preise sind rasant gestiegen und dabei ist das Essen nicht mehr konstant so lecker wie früher! Beim letzten Besuch war das Essen gar nicht gut.Der Salat muss jetzt extra bezahlt werden und ist dabei eher schlechter geworden! Die Metaxasouce ist ohne Metaxa und der Ouzo am Abschluss ist Geschichte... Positiv zu bewerten ist das Personal und der Biergarten aber das reicht leider nicht! Wir werden nicht mehr wiederkommen!

So muss ein Grieche sein, der auch an die nächste Generation denkt… vielseitige Karte (auch für nicht Fleischesser) tolle Portionen… optisch und geschmacklich hervorragend…

auch bei der aktuellen wirtschaftlichen Situation kann die Preisfindung unterschiedlich beurteilt werden. Den Quzo vom Haus zum Abschied gibt es schon seit einiger Zeit nicht mehr-muss nicht unbedingt sein/ war aber angenehm. Im Vergleich der Preistafel 04.22 zu 09.22 gab es eine Preisanpassung. o.K. - die Gesamtsituation ist/ war bestimmt nicht einfach. Jetzt wird aber der Salat ausgegliedert und ist auf Wunsch für EUR 2,50 in Selbstbedienung verfügbar. Damit möchte ich die Preise doch schon als sportlich bezeichnen.
