A great restaurant, the food is very good. Everything we ate there is very tasty. The service staff very friendly and attentive. Great ambience with big lights. The tables are stylishly set and there are beautiful dishes. The only thing that bothers me a bit is the acoustics. When the store is full it is very loud. This can be very annoying for older guests.

We were here spontaneously for lunch on March 3rd, 2010. The food selected was tasty and good. Unfortunately we cannot say the same about the service. Apparently they forgot about us after the starter - it only came after we reported. The drinks we ordered didn't come at all, but they were on the bill. The restaurant wasn't crowded, but the service was unfortunately overwhelming. Too bad.

The food was delicious, it tasted good! Unfortunately, you couldn't fully communicate with the employee because he didn't understand anything and couldn't speak German. I also noticed that German customers are treated better than foreign customers. Which was an absolute no go for me. Normally there is the option to pay at the table, we were asked to pay directly at the checkout, which wasn't entirely understandable to me - the shop was pretty empty. I cannot recommend Al Dar.

Simply great!!! We ate at AL DAR in Bremen with 8 people (some of them for the first time). Everything was delicious and even the skeptics want to come back again. Very friendly staff and despite there being a lot of guests, the food came very quickly and you didn't have to wait longer for anything else. I can definitely recommend the AL DAR 😊

Friendly greeting at the entrance. Menu items were listlessly placed on the table. Hardly any desire to make changes in food. The very expensive food was very tasty. Unfortunately there are no pine nuts in the salad with pine nuts. Freshly tapped beers clearly under calibration. Overall OK. But in the price range there are better alternatives for us.

The two of us ate here on a Saturday evening. Really very tasty food at relatively high prices. Since we wanted to try different things, we ordered the “Journey through Syria” and were really full in the end. The starter was the best for us, everything was very tasty. The main course consisted of a lot of meat, but you can also order vegetarian. At the entrance you will be greeted by a service person and seated at a table. It was very busy and therefore a lot to do. All the employees were friendly, but of course also a bit stressed. The food still came quickly and we had a lovely evening. We will definitely come back again at some point.

After a long time, we were here again on a Saturday. There were five of us. What was positive: We had different starters, all of which were very tasty. Here there were different dips, lamb, lamb coated in a dough and salads. The main courses were even better. The minced lamb kebabs are very tender, nicely seasoned and have great roasted aromas. The chicken follows suit completely. There was also aioli, for example, which has a firm structure and an intense taste. A red dip that was very spicy and slightly spicy convinced us all. What was negative: A drink came after 40 minutes. One of the many waiters who served our table managed to spill some of the drinks onto the table twice. According to the menu, the starter with hummus and lamb in butter should be served with pine nuts. Unfortunately, there were significantly cheaper almond slivers that also fit but didn't correspond to the description. Too bad The rice for the main course was at most lukewarm. We were missing more of a sauce here. The saffron sauce tasted good. If you're lucky, it contains very little saffron. Last time there were individual threads on top this time I was able to find a single 1mm thread in the sauce. There are probably savings here. Also very unfortunate. The dessert platter, which is supposed to contain a bit of everything, left us looking for more in terms of taste. The sweets are mass-produced, the tea biscuits too, the ice cream was okay. The pudding tasted best there. So after the delicious main course, it left a rather disappointing finish. The bottom line is that the prices are too high for the performance. All in all, we found the food delicious, the service chaotic, disorganized and not very friendly or inviting, the location was nice but also very loud and we went home with mixed feelings.

The service: We went there spontaneously yesterday and wanted some delicious food. We went to the terrace and wanted to choose a nice place because we didn't see a waiter at first. Unfortunately, when we chose a nice place for the 5 of us, a waitress came with a very unpleasant tone and said: "That's a waitress' job, choose another place, otherwise I'll have to walk so much." I come from the catering industry myself, so I was a bit outraged. We then chose a new place that was closer. There we were greeted by a really great waiter. He was really friendly and was able to brighten up our reception.🌸 The food: The food was really delicious. The meat was totally tender and well seasoned. The rice tasted really juicy and just as I had imagined. The Al-Dar Restaurant is definitely worth a visit. The food is great and the service is always great. Unfortunately we were a bit disappointed with our visit to Al Dar. We had falafel and an olive salad as a starter, both of which were tasteless and uninspired. It was also way too expensive for what you get. The excessively high price also extended to the drinks menu and main courses. For the main course we ate two different lamb dishes. In contrast to the matzah, both were very tasty, although nothing special. There is nothing negative to say about the service, the ambience is also good.

I really like that restaurant!! Just because of the desserts it deserves to try it hahahaha. I LOOVE the roses and the fig ice cream there. The chicken was juicy and tasty, I will go again and I recommend it to you😊 The service 10/10, always smiling and very professional!

Were here for the second time. Our companion had asked for a quiet table as we hadn't seen each other for a long time. The table was then directly under a loudspeaker, so it was difficult to hear each other. Oh well! It worked somehow. The service staff were all friendly and accommodating. The table and the restaurant absolutely clean and tidy. The menu is clear but sufficient. You absolutely can't complain about the food itself. Everything was fresh and really tasty. However, we find the prices for the food and drinks on offer to be quite expensive. For two people with starters etc you can quickly get to €100+! All in all, we had a lovely evening with a delicious meal in a wonderful atmosphere. We'll definitely be back.

The ambience is great! You enter a very nicely decorated restaurant and the sanitary facilities are clean and well maintained. The service was friendly but not very attentive. Requests were not addressed, orders were forgotten and the lady was very unprofessional when uncovering and clearing away. The food was ok. Unfortunately nothing special. The bread and potatoes were very dry. The meat was great, unfortunately the creams were not well seasoned. The homemade lemonade tasted very good. Unfortunately the price-performance ratio doesn't fit and therefore I won't be coming back.

Nach langer Zeit waren wir mal wieder im Al-Dar in Bremen. Vor einigen Jahren hat man ohne Reservierung keinen Platz bekommen. Heute war das große Restaurant nur spärlich besetzt. Wir haben die Reise durch Syrien genommen. Vorspeisen sehr lecker. Hauptspeise (Fleisch und Fisch) etwas einfallslos. Der Service wäre sehr freundlich, glänzte aber durch Unkenntnis. Auf die Frage, was für ein Fisch denn die Hauptspeise sei, erfuhren wir: Fisch mit Tomatensauce. Die Fischsorte war unbekannt und wurde auch nicht geklärt. Die bestellten Aperetife entsprachen auch nicht dem Bestellten. Auf dem Tisch fehlten Servietten und teilweise Besteck.

The tables are classically decorated with white blankets and dishes, the furniture is past its prime. The service is tried hard. The food is so-so. The starters are partly delicious, partly also completely bland. The bread served with it was sticky. A starter platter for 2 people (10 small bowls of creams and a dessert plate with a few warm items) costs 50 euros. The same applies to the main courses. Fried foods appear to have been fried again and are correspondingly tough. The prices are also rather high. The wines all come from Lebanon and are special and expensive at just under 10 euros per glass. Conclusion: expensive so là là, that can be done better.

The restaurant is beautifully located on the Weser and is divided into various different areas. The entrance is in a vintage car exhibition! The service was very good, hence 4 stars. Unfortunately, the food was average at best in terms of taste.

We had dinner here yesterday with 6 people. First of all, the positive: We ate several different courses - everything was very good and authentic. Since we have already been to Syria several times, we are confident that we can judge this. The reception was very friendly and a table was set for us according to our wishes. But here it comes: When ordering the meal, they tried to push us in a certain order direction by repeatedly asking questions. Our impression was that we should order everything completely for 6 people, as the waitress wanted. The highlight was the wine order: We had chosen a specific wine, but the waitress wanted to push us in a different direction. We made it clear several times which wine we wanted. After a very short time the wine, already decanted, was served and poured to us. Since the carafe was almost empty, we immediately ordered another bottle of the wine we had chosen. Then the waitress came with two different bottles and we realized that we didn't have the wine we ordered in our glasses, but the wine that the waitress had highly praised. We now insisted that we receive the wine we ordered. All glasses were then exchanged and we finally got the wine we had chosen. We consider this behavior to be a massive impudence. When paying, contrary to our usual habit, we paid in cash rather than by card. Then nothing happened - and only after repeated notifications did we receive the change... The restaurant is really recommended, but be careful: you have to be careful not to get ripped off.

A wonderful place with only one downside. He's too far away. At first we were very skeptical about what might be here. Some things sounded very special. But the great service with appropriate explanations led the two of us on a journey through Syria that was a culinary delight. The finest ingredients, perfectly balanced and well prepared offer a fireworks display of flavor in all directions. We will definitely come back if we are in Bremen. A special recommendation for anyone who is in the area.

We ordered the “Journey through Syria” with three people. Unfortunately, with three people you get the same portions as if you order with two people (I've been there before with only one person). Simply cheeky with a bill of €160.00 to serve three people only 2 scoops of ice cream for EVERYONE. Almost a rip off at such a price. Unfortunately, even if the rest tasted good, that was my last visit to you. I was too embarrassed to share two scoops of ice cream with two other people. I will never forget that and will continue to tell others the same way.

The food was delicious but completely overpriced! The bread wasn't fresh and warm, the waiter was a bit bored, chilling on his cell phone as there wasn't much going on. It was nice, but it remains a unique experience.

There were three of us there and we ordered the starter plate for three. Unfortunately, this consisted almost exclusively of pastes/creams. We had to pay 24.95 per person for this. So a total of 75 euros for the starter. And you don't even get full from it because, as I said, there was only Falden bread and the creams. Although tasty, the price is not justified in my opinion.

We ate in the restaurant on a Saturday evening and it was very crowded and loud. The waiters were rather inattentive and you had to wait a long time for the drinks. The food was good.

Working in service is by no means easy. If the staff still works to avoid grimacing or making pointed comments when the guest requests, correcting incorrect orders and putting an end to the confrontational behavior, the visit would be excellent.

Next time I visit, I'll ask the waiter his name so I can give him a shout-out. It was only the second time I ate here today and I was impressed again. Visited spontaneously on a Sunday evening, the reception was a little different than before. We first asked in the kitchen whether we could still be served. A table was quickly found and the service colleague was back very quickly. Ordering was easy as there were two identical dishes. Everything happened very quickly, almost too quickly. The food was rather flat, it didn't taste particularly fresh and seemed like it had been kept warm for quite a long time. Unfortunately things have changed to the detriment, which is a shame.

We ate at Al Dar for the third time on Friday, January 26th, 2024. First of all, like the second time, we were pretty disappointed with our waiter. When ordering the drinks, we wanted to order a bottle of Sauvignon Blanc which costs 27 euros and the waiter asked if we would like to order the more expensive one for almost 40 euros, which is not Sauvignon Blanc. We said no, but he continued to insist that we should order it because it tastes better. But so far everything is okay. We had ordered the starters, including the grilled eggplant, which was even pointed out in the menu when we ordered. However, when the starters were brought out, we had to ask our waiter to come over and tell him that the grilled eggplant was missing. He said no and said that he hadn't ordered any, instead just the eggplant puree/mousse. He continued to insist that he did everything right. 10 minutes later, however, the grilled eggplant was brought and the eggplant puree, which we had not touched, was still on the table. When we ordered the main courses there was the next surprise. One person at the table who is currently avoiding carbohydrates as much as possible didn't want rice or Syrian potatoes with her grilled plate. She asked if she could have a small salad instead. The waiter denied this again, saying that the smell and taste did not match the meat. After a discussion, the annoyed guest gave in when the waiter said they had no alternative but to put more of the fried vegetables on their plate. But now comes the highlight! When the main courses were brought, all the plates, including the grill plates that were normally ordered, were all garnished with a bouquet of parsley and tomato salad... they said 'the taste and smell wouldn't go well with the meat'?! There was horror at the table. At every table around us, our waiter asked if everything was okay and if it would taste good. For your information, our table was in the very corner of the room, which means he was actually at our table the whole time, but no longer at ours. However, the waiter was no longer available to us. He envied our table. When the table was cleared by another server, we ordered the bill. There were errors there again. There was apparently an 'Arak on the Rocks' booked from the next table to ours. This eggplant puree/mousse was on it twice even though we ordered it once, but as mentioned we got it twice, which wasn't touched once. but even the grilled eggplant was on it. Of course, we complained and didn't have to pay. But here too it was a different service. For us, it was probably the last time in Al Dar. The service really screwed up on 2 out of 3 visits due to ignorance and unfriendliness. It's a shame because the food is very tasty and the atmosphere is very harmonious and beautiful. In this sense, praise to the kitchen, but this behavior of the service staff, which we had on 2/3 visits, unfortunately damaged the restaurant.

Ein inzwischen in Bremen fest etabliertes Restaurant der syrischen Küche in einem alten Hafenschuppen in der Überseestadt. Der Gastraum ist detailreich und geschmackvoll in dem Schuppen eingerichtet und sehr sauber. Die Tische sind ordentlich eingedeckt und auch die Stoffservietten fallen positiv auf. Das Servicepersonal ist sehr freundlich, aufmerksam und nicht aufdringlich. Wir haben uns für das Menü "Reise durch Syrien" entschieden. Als Vorspeise gab es eine große Auswahl an hausgemachten Spezialitäten mit dem typischen Fladenbrot zum dippen. Der Hauptgang bestand aus verschiedenen Sorten Fleisch vom Grill (Hähnchen, Lamm) und ein wenig Garnitur, Reis und gebackenen Kartoffelscheiben. Hier hätte ich mir ein wenig frisches Gemüse dazu gewünscht. Zum Schluss gab es eine Variation von orientalischem Gebäck und hausgemachtem Eis (Granatapfel, Feige). Eine echte Empfehlung für einen schönen Abend in gepflegter Atmosphäre. Für die Raucher gibt es einen gemütlichen Raucherraum mit Couch und passender Dekoration. Auch die Toiletten sind sauber und ordentlich.

Es ist sehr gut und die Menschen sind super freundlich. Wir gehen gern da hin.

Ein perfekter Ort für jeden Anlass. Am besten reserviert man vorher einen Tisch, vor allem wenn man am Wochenende hier essen will, denn dieses Restaurant ist immer gut besucht. Und das zurecht. Einfach alles auf der Karte ist köstlich, jedes Getränk (selbstgemachte Limonade und hervorragende Tees), jede Vorspeise und Suppe, Hauptgerichte und Nachtisch. Ich gehe hier so gerne essen! Die Atmosphäre ist gehoben und gemütlich, die Mitarbeiter sehr gut ausgebildet, super freundlich und zuvorkommend.

Eine kulinarische Reise, das Ambiente ist wirklich Eindrucksvoll, die Details, Lampen usw.sind während der Bauphase aus allem was dort abfiel, liebevoll eingearbeitet worden . Diese Details und die Kunstwerke bereichern die gute Energie und die Lichtverhältnisse der Räumlichkeiten.

Eines der besten Restaurants in Bremen. Hier stimmen Essen (lecker, phantasievoll und harmonisch gewürzt, schön angerichtet), Service (sehr zuvorkommend, freundlich und professionell), Sauberkeit und Ambiente - wir kommen gerne wieder. Es ist ein höherpreisiges Restaurant, aber das Preis-Leistungs-Verhältnis stimmt.

Top Parkplätze vor der Tür . Sehr nettes / höfliches und aufmerksames Personal . Das Essen war gut , ist aber Geschmacksache . Vorspeise und Hauptgang waren heiß , gut heiß 👍 . Zum Nachtisch bekamen unsere Kinder noch ein Gratis Eis , Mega .

Die Mezze Spezialitäten sind äußerst deliziös. Beim Hauptgang war das schisch tawouk super lecker auch das fatayel war sehr lecker und das Fleisch super zart allerdings würde ich mir hier mehr Fleisch statt Gemüse wünschen. Leider mag ich keine Auberginen und es war hauptsächlich nur von den als olivengemüse enthalten. Hätte mir eine bessere Auswahl gewünscht. Aber ansonsten super Atmosphäre👍🏼
