Palmyra in Bremen

Tadmur (formerly Palmyra) is a beautiful, oriental-style restaurant that recently changed hands. We had a wonderful evening with a large group, with very friendly and extremely attentive service! The appetizer selection served to our table was exceptionally varied and the presentation impressive, and the subsequent main courses also left nothing to be desired in terms of both appearance and taste! We'd love to come back; our next visit is already being planned. 😋😉

It was fantastic! A superb culinary experience, with attentive service and a cozy atmosphere. You can feel the love in the food and every aspect of the hospitality! We were here yesterday with 10 people for a birthday party, and everyone loved it. For starters, there was a huge selection of different masa, all beautifully presented and explained. They also made sure to keep the servings balanced, so everyone got a bit of everything. The main courses are of the highest quality at truly affordable prices. Each had its own special flavor, and the seasoning is unique. For dessert, we highly recommend the orange blossom water ice cream with chopped pistachio and mozzarella semolina. We've never had anything like it before, and it perfectly rounded off the whole meal with a cup of tea. It wasn't too sweet, had a unique texture, and was the perfect ending. The custard was also incredibly good. All in all, a perfect birthday dinner with the family and a truly unique experience. We'll definitely be back.

Palmyra is now called Tadmur and has a new, young owner. The quality is as high as ever. The food is super delicious, and the service is simply first-class. So go there for a good cup of tea, some delicious food, and spend a few pleasant hours there!

Absolutely fantastic food; you literally feel like royalty here. I highly recommend the main courses, which are served with a selection of masa. This gives you the opportunity to try a variety of flavors at once. We were happy and more than satisfied at the end. The service and owner were very friendly, and the restaurant itself had a wonderful ambiance thanks to its decor. I highly recommend the Palmyra to everyone: a real must-try in the New Town.

We made a reservation and found the door locked, despite the booking confirmation. No word that renovations were underway. We drove 40 km for this. On our wedding day.

Not on the level of the unforgettable Hannah Saliba, but definitely recommended. The Lebanese wines are a bit overpriced. Dessert, okay. Mocha is good. Maybe clean up the trash in front of the door before the guests arrive!!??

Syrian food tastes good, but when 60% of the calories come from fries, that's a shame. Service was satisfactory and friendly. The prices are fair. However, several tables, including ours, were shaking, which was annoying...

It's a shame! We were actually planning to end the evening at Palmyra after Werder Bremen's last home game against the Dosen. But then a friend pointed out the hygiene deficiencies discovered by the LMTVet Bremen during an inspection. You can read about them online under "Food Transparency." That put us off our appetite. It's a shame.

Super friendly service and very tasty food! The only negative point for me was the dessert on the Palmyra menu, I was hoping for just a little more than two small pieces of pastry and two half orange slices with "A selection of Syrian sweet sins" :)

The food was very tasty, the service was extremely friendly and accommodating. Rustic but suitable location. The prices are absolutely fair for the quantity and quality of the food.

The starters and main courses were very tasty. Something different. The only thing that bothered us was the starters being cleared away before we were finished. Even when we said that, the waiter stayed in front of us until we were finished. That was annoying. We felt harassed. That doesn't have to be the case. The waitress has to see something like that.

Oriental taste food in a western style.. food was delicious Syrian kebab with rice, starting also mixed of delicious Syrian recipes, great atmosphere, dining in with Firouz songs gives you an amazing vibe

The hammer!! It was my first time eating Syrian food and I was so impressed that I would probably travel to Bremen again just because of this location 😀 The food is amazing! Maybe not the cheapest store but a highlight in terms of taste! I was allowed to “eat like the Sultan”! 🥰

Das Restaurant Palmyra hat einiges an arabischen und syrischen Spezialitäten zu bieten, bspw. die frittierten Kichererbsenbällchen auf Sesambuttersauce als Vorspeise, aber auch das Masa (mit frischem hausgemachtem Fladenbrot), als Hauptgericht zu empfehlen wären das F’tajel Ranamm Spezial und die Maschawi Arabije. Die Atmosphäre ist gemütlich und entspannt, der Service war freundlich und aufmerksam, alles in allem ein runder Abend im Palmyra. Die Preise gehen auch absolut in Ordnung, bei den Portionen die da Serviert werden!

Made a reservation online, but when we arrived no table was reserved for us, with the explanation that “reservation confirmations are sent out automatically”. After telling is this no solution was offered and we were simply ignored. I can understand that something can go wrong, but they made us feel like we were mistaking for booking online. Don’t offer this option if one can’t use it!

Very cozy atmosphere. As a Lebanese and connoisseur of these dishes, I would say that the food is highly adapted to the German palate. It was lightly seasoned, hardly any garlic, not spicy, and there were no pickled vegetables at all - something I'm not familiar with. It was interesting that the waiters presented and described the dishes we had ordered at the tables - but not with us. Even though we may seem like we know the food, I would still have found it interesting since everyone prepares these dishes in their own way.

One or two updates would still be possible in the service area. You wait a long time for empty glasses to be filled. It's not cheap there!

Fabulous cuisine - varied, rich, fair price-performance ratio. The food isn't cheap, but it's totally worth the price. I ate with great pleasure: from masa to main course to dessert. I will definitely go again.

An evening in a cozy atmosphere with very, very tasty food - I got to know Syrian cuisine for the first time and I'm thrilled! The fantastic starters are made from a variety of ingredients and served with homemade flatbread. The main course had just the right portion, everything was freshly prepared and attractively presented. The menu offers a great selection for both vegetarians and meat lovers and the service was very friendly and good. Definitely a recommendation! It should be reserved in advance.

Palmyra is my favorite restaurant in the new town. It is very lovingly and authentically furnished. As a vegetarian, I am very happy with the selection and always feel full from one dish. Otherwise, I recommend sharing a large caravan, as there are lots of tasty little things. I also really like Moroccan mint tea. The employees are super nice and accommodating. I also like to go with visitors from outside or family.

You can tell that you know how to cook here. Both my 13 year old daughter and I were very impressed with the food, the service was fantastic, the ambience was ok.

The food at Palmyra is simply amazing. Great value for money. The various starters are super tasty and the main courses also taste very good. A great insider tip in Bremen. Very, very tasty dishes at fair prices! Many dishes even come with 5 masa (starters), which are very tasty on their own. There were 6 of us and all the dishes were great. The vegetarian selection was also really very good.

We were trying various restaurants in Bremen and found this place. This is a great place. Menu is extensive and quality if very good. What we especially liked was the enormous variety of many small dishes to that you could taste a lot of different things. Their falafel is the best I have ever tasted - bar none. Crispy on the outside and soft in the middle. Interior decorations give a real feeling of being in the middle east and the staff are friendly and helpful. Definitely worth a visit.

First time Syrian and first time in Palmyra. Since it is always very crowded, you should definitely reserve in advance! We were warmly greeted and shown to the table. There was tea for everyone as a welcome. A little later the tickets for the order were available. The selection is really large and varied and there is something for everyone - even vegetarians. In addition to the many starters, there are also main courses with these starters that could be ordered together. The selection quickly fell on the 90 (Ma'luba Special) and 91 (Ma'ali Special). First, the 5 starters each came in small bowls. There was also bread. The quantity is sufficient and there is something for different tastes - also for swapping. All the bowls became empty. Then came the main courses, all warm and very tasty. Here too, the quantity is more than sufficient, considering the prices. Nobody left the restaurant hungry. Even though it was very busy, the service was very good. Reordered drinks arrived very promptly. The ambience completes everything completely. Even if the journey from Bremen-Nord takes a little longer, it may not be the last time. It was definitely a culinary experience.
